Del sat at the edge of the pool feet in the water, she was watching Echo as he swam round and round the deep end getting a feel for his swimming abilities. The dolphin girl had to admit jealousy, Echo was bulkier than her but was still just as agile in the water. Of he couldn’t do corners as well as her but he was still quite a good swimmer.
Up in the lifeguards seat Tessa avery watched this with mild amusement. she’d posted a notice on a board that she’d be supervising a swim today for children with water dragons. While they weren’t uncommon on Gaia it was hard to find pools that accomadated them and other children without someone getting nervous.
So far only Del and her bronze had shown up but time would tell who else would be seen.

Chath nearly had to stop himself from running on the pool deck. WATER! lovely refreshing water! it had been ages since he had gone swimming in a pool and he had never seen Keir swim, this would prove to be interesting. The dragon for once seemed at least mildly interested. He enjoyed water, but had never been able to havea good opportunity to really swim.
The red skinned boy wore his swim trunks and had taken off his arms bandages (didn't want those all soggy) and approached the edge of the pool. Hey there was a dragon in there! He ntoed the bronze dragon with interest and then noticed Del.
"HEY!" he called out with a wave. WOW he hadn't seen Del since he was little and now she had a dragon too! He then noticed the life gaurd on duty he squinted and then gave a hearty wave to her as well. HOw coul dhe forget that it was Tessa who taught him his newest skill.
Keir on the other hand approached the edge of the pool and instead of diving in slipped neatly into the water. He spotted the other dragon, but he could see quite well under water. His nose slits closedas his head submerged. Wouldn't prove good if water got in his lungs. For the moment hse sayed in the shallower end, not too sure about this bronze.

(Echo's a bronze dear)
Del looked up at the shout and upon recognizing the boy grinned. He was much much bigger then when they'd last met and apparently he too had waited long enough for his dragon to hatch. the sleek blakc creature was rather pretty in an odd way.
Still her attention returned to Chath " Hi long time no see. How are you."Upon closer look she could see the boy had lost the sort of speckled look he'd had before and had gained a richer orange colour and dark black spots.
She nodded towards The golden hued dragon in the deep end " That's Echo He's a bronze dragon but he's yellow right now for some reason."
Echo was less than pleased when the black had dared to enter it's water. From what he could makie out above however the two children were friendly so he would be the bigger dragon and tolerate this creature for the time being.

(fixes)
Instead of jumping into the pool Chath trotted around the edge and appraoched Del. He then sat down beside her and dipped his legs into the cool water. giving an expresion of wow that feels good he then turned his head to look at the Del and then her bronze dragon.
"A bronze? That is neat, didn't know they liked water too. Technically Keir my black likes swamps but it isn't like i have a swamp readily available for him to swim in." He replied with a laugh.
"Its beena long time! how have you been?" He asked his head turning so he could follow Keir's form in the water he hoped Keir wouldn't be too aggressive....
Keir watched the bronze idlym raising his head so the nostrils reached the surface he exhaled and took another breath before submerging again. Very similar to a corcidile as he used his tail to propel himself forward his wings laid down against his back.

Del smiled and nodded " The egg had to be bathed in the tide twice a day. The techs made a machine to do it since they couldn't really have it happen. Bronze's are good swimers and they eat a lot of seafood including sharks." The girl still had memories of meeting the shark boy Simon in this pool and she had never forgotten what a jerk he had been.
She laughed a bit at the swamp comment " Hehe I can see that being a problem but at least we have the pool." Plus maybe someday d-corp would make a swamp or something for black dragons to swim in.
"I've been good, my family's a bit odd and our house sorta dissapeared a bit ago but everythings ok now. I'm looking foreward to magic classes when I take them and getting stronger by shoveling driveways. Oh and I can't wait untill Echo starts to fly, accordingo the teacher he can now if he wants to he just hasn't chosen to."
Echo ventured into the shallow end approaching the black warily.

Chath had his huge smile on his face as he sat down and dangeled his feet in the water. The cool liquid felt nice on his skin.
"how did your house dissapear?" he asked curious how a house can just randomly dissapear in the first place. and when the dicussion switched to magic classes his enthusiasm seemed to pop.
"Magic? just hope you get better teachers than I have." he muttered and then tried to brighten up again, "Yah Keir can't fly either, never seen him attempt. He can spit acid though, I wonder if the water will neutralize the spit..." he said in mild wonder as he watched Keir warily, he didn't like his dragons behavoir at the moment.
Keir spotting the bronze approach stopped his advancement, he hung in the water like a black cloud just waiting to shoot lighting. He lifted his head again for an exhalation and another breath before submerging. The only ones he held respect for was Himself and.....he was starting to get attatched to Chath, enough so that he would at least attempt to save the boy from harm...caused by others that is.

Del shrugged" I dunno i came home from a lesson and bam it was gone , I mean it was there like i could sort of see it but it wasn't really there and I couldn't get in. "She sighed " apparently it fell into some sort of magical place related to the wands that we sell sell there. it's back though and shouldn't fall again."
At the boys response to the word magic del figured it was a sore subject, maybe the teachers were mean to him, or maybe he was bad at it. Either way Del wasn't about to broach the subject again. " Acid spitting huh? That's neat. Echo has a repulsion breathe but he's never used it."

Chath thought it strange the happanings with Del's house but then again stranger things have happened. He gave a relieved smile as Del changed the subject from Magic to dragons.
"repulsion breath?" what does that do exactly? he wondered acid wasone thing...but a repulsive breath? Maybe the dragon just needed tick tacs. He tried not to laugh at his inward joke and then moved to slip into the water.
"Care to swim with me?" he asked really just going in so early cause he knew Kier wouldn't start anything if there was risk of Chath being harmed. Stupid arrogant dragon.
Keir watched as Chath slipped into the pool and nearly growled in an annoyed tone. Now he couldn't defend or attack, doing anything might hurt the blasted boy. How annoying.

Del shrugged " It's some sort of gas breath that makes others go away. maybe it's flammable or of it touches you it burns or something. Oh and he can create lightning and to hrut thigns and foggy mist to hide himself. " del eyed the water and then Echo she had no desire to be electrocuted if he chose to zap the water. Then again Chath was in the pool now as well so chances were he wouldn't do anything.
She slid off the edge and instantly began treading water. Her body could swim naturally without her needing to guide it.
Echo responded to the growl with one of his own. He was not annoyed by the childrens presence , after all it should keep the black well behaved. Still he would be just as vocal as the other dragon and show no fear.

"as i recal you were a really good swimmer." Chath stated as he watched her tread water. "Can you breath underwater too?" he asked trying to remember, he didn't think she could....but then agani it had been a long time.
"What's your dragon's name again?" he asked looking at the two dark shapes in the water, the larger one closer to the shallow end.
Keir looked to Echo and then with a sweep of his tail surged forward, it was no t aggressive as it was more showing off. The dragon was please at how the water slipped over his body his wings close to his back to keep the resistance down. He angeled off to the side of Echo so he didn't appear to be charging towards the otehr dragon.

Del smiled but shook her head "I can hold my breath for up to ten minutes but I can't really breathe under water. If I remember you were a pretty good swimmer as well." At the very least she was pretty sure the boy had offered her one of the orbs they had received in the class for diving to help her pass.
" Echo is his name becuase he makes clicky noises like my echolocation." The dolphin girl said eyeing her dragon.
Echo watched the black show off and rolled his eyes. There wasn't much he could do though the other was far more agile then him in the water vechase it was skinnier.

Chath nodded his head, "wow! a whole ten minutes? That is pretty cool." he said with an enthused nod. "I can ....'breath' underwater through osmosis...or..something like that. My skin takes the oxegyn from the water and it goes into my blood stream. I don't like being under for too long just cause my lungs feel all weird having no good air in it." he said with a nod of his head. "but you tail must be pretty powerful! Mine just kind of helps me turn well." he stated with a laugh. Chath was innnocent enoguh to not realize he could be boasting about his own natural talents, but he always made up for it but at laest complimenting others with their own special skills.
"Wanna have a race?" he asked now more enthused. It had been a really long time since he had swam.

Like a superhero would ever turn down a challenge, " Sure I'll race you." At least swimming was fun. Talking could be but after a while you ran out of neat things to say. " Is there a certain style we should use? "She inquired. The dolphin girl had her own way to swim but she was capable of doing breast stroke, side stroke butterfly and backstroke if she needed to. She preferred her own way though.
