Envy thinks he pretty hot stuff flaunting about like he’s better then everyone in every way. Someone has to step up and knock Envy down a few pegs. Steve knew he could do this. How hard could it really be? It’s basically just dressing yourself. Pick out what you’d like to wear and then step outside. He does that every morning. What’s so different about it now?

Steve decided he wanted to have the focus of his outfit be his jewelry, so he picked that first. “Hm..” he thought to himself as he tapped his bottom lip. “There are some interesting things in here... to say the least.” Steve was starting to think this would be harder then he originally imagined. Then his eyes fell on a charm: the Abysmal Chameleons Charm. Embarrassed to admit that he remembered a friend of his, Bob, talking about this charm.

Yes. Bob. And yes, just talking. That was the furthest he’d carry that conversation.

Steve now had to create an outfit to go with his charm. “Hmm... I think I’ll start with clothing next then add some accessories at the end.” Flipping through various racks with a variety of articles on them he came across a few he liked. Amongst his final choices were; Krakens’ Gauntlet of Mana Ring, Sinners’ Coat of Snakes, Moccasins of the Barbaric Serpents’ Charm of Knowledge and the Blessed Sea Serpents’ Moccasins. Decisions decisions. What to pick. “I think I’ll pick two things." Steve said with a nod. "Just which ones....” Steve grumbled as he looked over his selections over and over again. “I think I know.” Looking back at the charm and the articles he pulled out he decided on taking the Sinners’ Coat of Snakes and the Moccasins of the Barbaric Serpents’ Charm of Knowledge.

“Yeah. That’s seems about right.” Steve added with a smile, starting to regain confidence. Next up! Accessories!

“Damn.” Steve said to himself. The hardest thing when trying to make a perfect outfit was now staring at him in the face; accessories. Though these are not jewelry accessories, he was smart and got that out of the way first, these were things like weapons and shields. There were so many things he, personally, would take but he’s not going by what he wants. He’s trying to prove something. He has to prove what’s most fashionable. “Mmm... no. No shields.” A shield would have been something big he had to lug around. Even if he’s trying to prove a point he doesn’t want to have to lug around this giant shield. After all most of his choices were Tower Shields of come kind. Too big.

Saying no to shields left him with weapons and musical instruments. “I’m choosing two so I think I’ll take one of each to cover my bases..” A smart thought when trying to CYA. Lets just hope this is one of those situations where it pays off. The musical instruments were less in numbers so he started there first. “I think I’ll take this Blessed Demon’s Mandolin of the Incantation of Fire.” Wasn’t to large, was pretty light and hey! Fire! What’s not to like? Plus it’s musical. He only needed one accessory left.

No way was he going to carry around something like a harpoon so that was out. So were other things such as hatchets, pikes, flails, mattocks and such. Eliminating a handful of weapons from the start limited his choices quickly, making it easier to decide. Something he approved of. “I want something for distance.” He thought aloud. Distance... distance... That would leave him with the Bullet and the Shuriken. He chose to go with the Bullet of Negate Strangulation. When in doubt put a hole through it and make it into an earring.

“There.” Steve said with his chin held high. He was quite pleased with what he put together. Now he just had to prove that he's not completely bland to fashion.

Steve stared at the avarice demon, three words sticking in his mind.
THIS IS STUPID, to be precise.

"THIS IS STUPID," he loudly proclaimed, pointing out the obvious.
Greed looked sort of pissed, of course; as anyone told their method of fighting was stupid would. "WHAT, no it's totally not," the oh-so-smart rebuttal came, "it's intelligent, but you are simply an idiotic person."

Steve had no response to that, so he simply muttered something along the lines of 'bluh', and ran off to pilfer his girlfriend's closet. He had the keys to her room, because Steve was trustworthy and prophetic, and he'd left some of his clothes in there last time they had one of their little...romps. Little wasn't quite a describing word, as it had left the bed rammed halfway into the wall; but it had been a 'romp' nothingless.

And he picked out the most STYLISH AND FABULOUS styles & items ever to exist in a girl's closet (or her room, for that matter, a glaive isn't in a closet or it tears your clothes).
A purple necklace that shimmered with the souls of the dammed, a pair of emerald greaves, a glaive made out of the rare material that was a black diamond, and the most splendid and rare thing in that woman's closet...
the Coat of Alter Law.

People had altered laws for anyone wearing the black-and-white coat with skull-bedecked sleeves.

Then Steve decided he'd bring the Monstrous Immovable Pipes. But true to their name, they proved to be immovable; and Steve spent about fifteen minutes pulling and pushing on the gigantic flute before deciding something along the lines of 'SCREW THIS I'M GETTING THE SHIELD THAT MAKES PEOPLE DRUNK'. And because he could, Steve went for the Vicious Silencers' Tower Shield of Fortuitous Intoxication; deciding that with his throwing arm, 'Greed' would be drunk off his a**.

Or whatever passed for it, depending on if the demon was actually humanoid when not on school property.

Steve pondered this for about three seconds. Then he decided all those avarice demons were just odd, shrugged, and went to confront his new nemesis.

"Steeeeeve," the bored call came, "got your unfashionable act together?"
Steve had no response to that, but he simply grinned with enough force to make a balloon explode, posing in a way so all his things sparkled.
Greed pondered for a second. "But your shirt and pants are the-"

At this point, Steve pulled his left arm back and chucked the Vicious Silencers' Tower Shield of Fortuitous Intoxication at the boil sitting on top of the building. It hit him in the jaw, knocking him off the narrow roof; but Steve was pretty sure that his three-minute rival was drunk now.

Because that's how awesome the shield was. That's why he always brought it to parties. It got everyone drunk with a touch...except him, because he wore gloves.

Duh.
