Underestimation is the number one killer

The clone of Jade looked up from the paperwork she had been working on, and then looked back down. "As a sannin of my village, you have the rights to leave. But, I expect you to be here the majority of the time. Soon enough, it will get busy, and I may need you to stand in for me at times. As of right now, any alliances Suna may have had are void, because the power as switched to a new person." She had no idea that there was a new Hokage, which Koizumi would serve the purpose of finding this out. "As I said, you are free to go. I would like for you to be back soon, so we may talk of you finding an apprentice perhaps." With that, the clone signed the paper with her unique and intricate signature, and moved to the next one.

Upon reaching the new tower, David couldn't help but stare for a minute or two. It was only a few feet different in location than the original, if that, but he swore it had gotten taller, an insane thought to be sure. Now that he thought about it, the original had been knocked down when Cloverfield fell, hadn't it? Well, he didn't feel like standing out here all day, night, whatever it was now. Walking inside, he easily acquired the location of the office. Top floor. Obviously. Thus began the climb. That lasted about two minutes before he said screw it and jumped out the window. There was plenty of sand blown onto the side of the building to make a platform to lift him to the 68th floor, where he hopped back in another, letting the sand dissipate outside. Walking up the last set of stairs, he encountered something new. A secretary. The secretary was just telling him the kazekage was in a meeting right now, when someone walked out the door, so the secretary just sighed and waved him in.

David stiffened imperceptibly as he recognized who had just come out, before remembering that most likely nobody could recognize him, and just nodded to the secretary and walked in, right past the old kazekage. Closing the door behind him, he walked up to the desk and stood, waiting to be recognized as being there. While he waited he was by no means idle though. No, he was examining every visible inch of this new kazekage. It was indeed the same woman as before, long silver hair, rather tan, he couldn't really tell much other than that, since her robes covered so much of her.

David cracked a slight smile as even she didn't recognize him. Either they hadn't taken pictures of him for the records while he slept, or she just didn't look at them. Either way, it was highly amusing. "I am David Greyson, I'd like to return to duty after a rather prolonged absence." he explained. Even if she never checked the records, he was sure she'd have heard his name at some point. The council probably was not in the habit of putting people in place without giving them all of the important info. Then again, he hadn't heard exactly how she came into the position either. Either way she'd have access to important stuff, like knowing who in the village could probably destroy it in a fit of rage, as some seemed to think he was going to do someday.

David blinked slowly, looking at her oddly for a few seconds. Hero of Suna? Were people actually calling him that? It didn't sound like something people would call him, but he'd been asleep quite awhile, so he didn't really know... Well, that would be something to look into later. "A student?" That was... Scarily fast... "I still need to get some new equipment, since I don't know what happened to my old stuff, but I guess I can head over there once I've done that." He answered with a shrug. He probably should have known he'd end up with students after being promoted, but this felt pretty sudden nonetheless.
