Hearing what the teacher had told the class, Tenza brought his two hands together, making a small burst of chakra turn him back to his normal self. ' Ugh, why this? I know that we run on hiding and crap, but is this really needed?' The genin thought as he brought his two arms together, crossing them for a few moments, seeing some students, among them Tensai, grab some sort of sheet and then hide behind it? Becoming part of the scenery? Awesome! Why was it awesome when the students did it? Simple, it is one thing to watch a grown man become invisible, but it's another to watch someone about your age do the same, it fills you with hope, that you are able to do the same. The boy sighed and walked over toward the desk, uncrossing his arms about half way there, he grabbed the cloak, or is it a sheet, thing and sighed. Let's being.

He held the cloak thing by both of the top edges, moving it around, inspecting it, just to make sure it was ninja voodoo magic, not some special trigger thing that would make his molecules invisible by shooting radiation at him, who knows? It can happen? Since Oto exceled in technology in the past, what's stopping it from doing so now. He looked around him and walked toward a side of the classroom, somewhere flat, with a good wall, since its a jutsu to hide, he thought that by starting in a flat wall. Once he got to the wall he continued to hold the cloak thing.

After the boy finished searching for something in the cloak he would place chakra on to his hands, the chakra would then flow on to the cloak, this meant that the cloak would begin to take the image of that which is behind the young ninja. ' Alright, just a little more...' The boy thought as the cloaks color began to change, matching that of the wall behind him. It wasn't long before he stopped sending chakra on to the cloak, he would stop when he thought it had enough, and just when he decided this was the peak point for the cloth, thankfully. He placed it in front of him, making his presence almost unnoticed, if it wasn't for the fact that the teacher would have been looking at him. After a short span of time he would remove the cloak from his body, "reappearing" from the wall. " Was that any good?" He asked the sensei, hoping for his approval.

Yasashii nodded in satisfaction as the last of the students finished up, heading back to their seats. Once they were all sitting again, he began to speak. "Very good. This technique, along with many others, may seem insignificant at first, but given the right application, it can easily be invaluable. Remember that." Turning around, Yasashii picked up the painted sheet, and stuffed it back into the box, picking it up and returning it to it's place under the desk, before turning back to the class.

"The next technique, is called Nawanuke no jutsu. It was one of the first techniques created after chakra was discovered, out of necessity. There was a time when ninjas weren't so widely known and accepted. A time when Chakra Manipulation was considered witchcraft, and those who used it, were burned at the stake. This technique was created to solve that issue, among other things." He paused for a moment, reaching down behind the desk again, and pulling out a sack. From the sack he produced a short length of knotted rope. "The technique itself is simple. You force your chakra along the rope, and push on the knot, forcing it to release. The so called witches used it to escape their bonds, ninja have continued to do so for years. Even without being bound though, it is valuable anywhere a rope need untying, and you can't quite do it." Finishing his monologue, Yasashii held up the piece of rope he'd pulled out in the palm of his hand, not touching it with his fingers as he let his chakra flow into it. Slowly, the rope began to slide, pulling the knot apart until it finally came all the way loose, the rope setting in his hand.

Tying the knot back into the rope, Yasashii threw it to a random student, then reached into the sack, and began tossing the ropes to each and every student in the room. Once everyone had a rope, he leaned back again the desk, looking out over the room. "Lay the rope on your wrists, and untie it without using your fingers, as I showed you."

As Yasa explained the jutsu further, dwelling a bit on it's history Shin noticed that once again he was faced with something that is considered to be a horrendous act and yet it does not rouse any emotion in him. Before he was consumed by his own thoughts on the subject a rope was tossed his way and he was told to copy the jutsu that was just performed.

As he was instructed by his teacher Shin laid the rope over his wrist and focused. As he let his chakra swell into his wrist he thought hard about pushing the not loose. Holding his gaze tightly on the rope he almost willed the not to come loose saying in his mind

"Coooome on, loosen up." As he focused on his task the snake around his neck let loose its tongue taking in it's surroundings and just as the snake let it's tongue enter back into it's mouth Shin did it. He allowed his charka to flow into the rope pushing the not free and completing yet another task that was set before him by his teacher.

Happy with himself Shin spoke his soft voice flowing threw the room as he asked. " This jutsu being as old as it is and as common there must be a way to insure one cannot escape so easily when captured by enemy ninja who know of the same jutsu. Is there such a jutsu that can be used to make sure what you just taught us cannot be used? If so do you know of anyway around that?"

Tensai caught the knotted rope in one hand, examining it before he draped it over his right wrist. The knot looked tight and he had no idea how long it would take to manually take it apart. His eyes narrowed in concentration and the tenketsu along his wrist would leap into life like newborn stars, blazing brightly as chakra escaped his flesh and bone to permeate the fibers of the rope.

The invisible energy collected within the space inside the knot and began to build up as a trickle of chakra countinued to flow from Tensai's body. He felt the knot loosen as his chakra expanded and pull apart the length of rope. It only took a minute but the rope unravelled by itself, allowed to roll of Tensai's wrist under his scutinizing gaze. He would have to exert more control over his chakra if he wanted to unravel the rope when actually ensnared. Just another project for him to pursue.

Watching as the young students worked with their ropes, Yasashii couldn't help but smile to himself. Some days, it felt like reviving the village was completely out of reach. Others, it felt like it was at his fingertips. And seeing the next generation of ninja grow before his very eyes was one of the latter. Not to say they were anything impressive just yet. All of them had their own quirks that would need to be worked out. The boy that liked to hide, he seemed a bit paranoid, yet also rebellious. Hopefully he'd grow out of that, and fast. He didn't want to be the one to track down the boy's family and let them know their son had gotten himself killed with his attitude.

Then there was the other boy, an Ushio if he didn't miss his guess. The budding Ushio intellect was obvious, but he still had a ways to go, if he was so easily egged on by the other. Thinking of it, the first boy showed similar traits in that regard. Perhaps both were Ushio children. It would explain a good deal.

And then there was Shin. He wasn't sure what to think of that boy yet. Just that morning he'd been an amnesiac wandering into the bar, and now, he seemed as if he was perfectly normal. Perhaps he should test him later.

And Tenza, he'd never really been sure what to think of Tenza. The boy was eager, yet tried to look too deeply into things that were best left alone...

Before he could really begin to think about the rest of the students in the room, Yasashii shook himself free of his thoughts, looking across the room again and noticing some of the students already having completed the technique, others still working on it, and the usual few goofing off. His eyebrows rose slightly as he noticed a few students mixed into the crowd who had chosen to tie their wrists rather than simply hold the rope as instructed. It didn't bother him, but it was slightly strange. Practical though, he supposed.

As Shin piped up once more with a question on the technique, Yasashii smiled again. If there was one thing about this one, he was curious, yet asked all the right questions. "You are correct. There are a few methods to avoid having the technique used against you. One, is called finger binding. basically, you just tie the captured nin in such a way that he can't bring his hands and fingers together to make seals. Of course, if he doesn't need to make seals in the first place, that becomes a problem. Another way is to use a chakra seal, so that the victim cannot focus their chakra. If you can get your hands on it, you could also use special chakra infused rope, which this jutsu would have no effect on. Of course, the simplest method would be to just use something to bind them that isn't knotted, such as handcuffs." Yasashii smirked visibly through his mask as he finished.

Turning around again, Yasashii reached over the desk, pulling out yet another object from behind it. This time though, it was a small metallic box. Setting the box on the desk, he spun it around to show the front had a lock on it, revealing that it was in fact, a small safe. "The next technique you will learn, is not nearly so noble in origin as the others. This is a thieves tool, but it is one you will be expected to use in some of your future missions. Houses have locks. People lock their valuables in safes. Going back to bindings, handcuffs lock shut. Our job as ninja often requires us to break into, or out of, these things. We could smash open a window, or even the wall, to get into a house, we could blow up a safe, or smash a pair of handcuffs, if you know the right techniques. But those are loud and wasteful, and more likely to bring trouble down on you than save you, or complete your mission. The Anrokku no jutsu however, allows you to break any lock, using nothing but your chakra, and it doesn't even harm the lock." Running through a few handseals, more for the students than himself, Yasashii laid his right hand on the safe, letting his chakra flood into the lock. It could be heard clicking, and seen spinning, until it suddenly stopped, as the door swung open, revealing what would appear to be a valuable diamond ring. After giving the students a few seconds to look, and think, Yasashii closed the safe again, and it could be heard clicking again for a second as it returned itself to where it had started. "This technique works by pushing the tumblers inside the lock with your chakra, moving them around until they fall into place. With a simple key turn lock, it should only take a moment. A safe could take several minutes depending on how complicated it is. Now, this technique is only to be used as part of your missions. Stealing from civilians is disgraceful for any ninja, no matter how easy it would be. I'm sure you can all guess what will happen to you should we find you doing such a thing."

After giving them a few more seconds for the warning to settle in, Yasashii pointed to the nearest student desk in front of him. "Inside each of your desks is one of these safes. Unlock it, and take what you find inside." With that, Yasashii turned and walked out of the room, passing through the genjutsu and vanishing. If one was to follow him out, even if they were right on his tail, they wouldn't find him.

As the students opened their safes, they would find a note saying to go to the great dojo, and show the guards the sign of the hare. Along with a warning not to show any other student their note.
