The demons flocked

Scoffing as Hei spoke to him, Hibiki casted a look of vacant disinterest at the man and at the entire situation ”And I take it you’re pure, Hei? Sorry, I seem to have forgotten that pure equals corrupt. I doubt you’re in a position to determine what is disgusting and what isn’t.” he spoke before furrowing his brow out of surprise as to the latter part of Hei’s statement. He didn’t care that much about his choice, if Hideki and Nu wanted in on the Vizard deal, then so be it, if power is what they want them let them have it thought Hibiki. However, never in his wildest dreams would he have thought him to become Hei’s choice for hollowfication, as his wildest dream consisted of a walrus atop a roll of butter bread, babbling on about flying beret’s from space coming to harvest our toenails.

Resting his chin on top of his fist, Hibiki glanced away from Hei, deciding to ignore the man for the duration of the meeting, or quite possibly, for the duration of their stay. But, the single word uttered by Hei, coupled with the sonic boom that accompanied his near instantaneous movement caused Hibiki to turn around, just in time to meet the man face to face, as he pressed the vile stone to his chest Hibiki’s eyes widened in utter shock. At practically the same time Hei released his limiter, Hibiki followed suit and released his as well ”Gentei Kaijo” this caused him to exit his gigai, as he had modified it a bit, sending the artificial body clear out of the immediate area. Gnashing his teeth as the Hougyoku started to activate, Hibiki managed to release his Bankai as sweat started to trickle down his face ”You b*****d... Bankai, Tenrai Kazeoni!” however, something had gone awry, and instead of the usual Fujin hurricane, all that materialized was a single Tengu chakram. Eyes widening in surprise, Hibiki was slowly wrapped in bandages, the fear of hollowfication he felt slowly gave way to anger, pure and utter rage at Hei which far exceeded anything he could ever hope to control. His entire figure trembling due to intense hatred, the bandages were all that were restricting him from beheading Hei and disemboweling him right on the spot.

Staring at him with bloodshot eyes, veins appearing all over his body and muscles strained Hibiki looked at Hei before the process was complete ”Hei! You piece of ****! I’ll kill you! I swear I’ll ****ing kill you! I’ll rip out your heart and force feed it to your ****ing mouth you piece of ****! Hei! Hei!” he yelled at the man as the bandages covered him up entirely, before the Hougyoku started to hollowfy him. Fatigued and exhausted, Hibiki’s figure remained deathly still as the transparent barrier formed around him. Upon Lee’s appearance, Hibiki made no visible reaction towards him, and as the Captain dropped his blade, Hibiki’s figure was suddenly wrapped in spiritual fabric, before being pierce by nails, whether he was thankful that they were non-fatal or not remained unclear as the body merely shifted in its place a bit when it was pierced. It seemed as if Hei’s speed-blitz would allow for a relatively calm and uneventful hollowfication, however, the intervention of Elisia would cause some unintended consequences. As soon as enough of the body’s physical pain was gone, the Tengu chakram near Hibiki vanished, and the transparent barrier was suddenly cracked on all sides, and at the center of each fissure was a black shard embedded upon the surface. To normal eyes it would seem like they assaulted the barrier in one powerful attack, however, the truth was that the Fukuro fragments pierced the barrier’s inside several times, numbering in the hundreds before finally being able to fracture it. Twitching, the hollow’s body was visibly controlling the fragments in an attempt to break free, inching them through the glass causing the barrier to weaken bit by bit, eventually if left to their own, they would shatter the barrier indefinitely, though how exactly it would help the hollow get free remained unclear.

Meanwhile, Hibiki woke up rather abruptly in his inner world, his eyes shooting wide open before he bolted up into a sitting position ”Hei!” he yelled out, before realizing that he was no longer in the Human World, but was now inside his inner world. Standing up to get a good look around, Hibiki found it odd that nothing was out of place ”Took you long enough.” came the sudden familiar voice. Turning around, Hibiki was glad to see Kaze approaching him, but noticed the absence of Oni, something that didn’t bother Hibiki too much ”Kaze, I’m glad you’re--“ Hibiki started, but was immediately interrupted by Oni’s squawk as the black bird hovered above him ”Glad I’m still here? Why? To give you support?” Kaze spoke out bluntly, causing Hibiki to grow serious. Stopping a few feet from Hibiki, Kaze looked at him with a disinterested gaze ”Let me make this clear, Hibiki. The only reason your inner hollow is still not here is because Oni and I will it. His power is our power, and our power is divided into two, thus his is as well. But don’t think I did this to spare you this fight, I did this so that I could take this opportunity to tell you one last thing before your encounter.” spoke Kaze as he lifted his hand, prompting Oni to slowly descend upon it ”Given your current self, you’re going to lose no matter what the outcome.” needless to say this surprised Hibiki, however, before he could ask Kaze, he and Oni were engulfed in a powerful hurricane that expanded to reveal the form of Hibiki’s inner hollow within. As the dark figure grinned, the landscape was beset by ferocious winds, an aesthetic addition if anything else as the two remained unaffected ”So, you’re Hibiki... pretty stupid name if you ask me.” commented the hollow.

Though Tsukiko was able to stay calm during the most of Lee's speech, what really hit her was that Lee outright denied the fact that Hei could possibly hold any capacity for caring for anyone else. That really bugged her, not because she was his daughter, though that was part of it, but because Hei had already done something so incredibly considerate for both her and her mother, that it killed her to hear Lee brush it off as the ramblings of some insane person. Pausing for a moment, Tsukiko thought about what she really wanted to do, then reassure herself that it was appropriate. Clearly Lee had forgotten something in his anger, or had decided it not worthy. Tsukiko moved her left hand to her hood, and it disappeared inside as she reached for the end of the bandage that covered her head, causing an obvious motion in the cloak's hood while she undid her tuck job with her single hand. Once it was free, she pulled her hand from the hood, tugging the bandage as it unraveled from her head. Once the other end of the bandage had freed itself from her body, she cast it aside and approached Elisia from behind, as where she had been put her roughly off to the side and behind her. Running her fingers through the girl's hair as reassurance, she slipped past her and approached Lee and the bandaged Hibiki. It was clear she was not worried about being near Hibiki at all, but it was not because of the Bakudō at work, but because she knew she wouldn't get hurt anyway. "I'm not a Shinigami." She stated, matter-of-factly, with little behind her tone other than slight mechanical intonations.

"Not technically, at the very least. I am a Gynoid, and in many ways vastly superior to yourself. I require substantial amounts of energy to survive, the same energy that you use to turn on the light in your office, as well as several chemicals, some that you have probably never heard of." At this point, she switched tones, bordering arrogance as she spoke, but being quite facetious about it. She lifted her finger, and put her fingertip to Lee's stomach. "You, on the other hand, are a mortal. And as a mortal, you eat mortal food. That mortal food, mortal, comes from your mortal animals, animals that have the ability to perceive pain and understand how to survive. Yet you mortals are so high and mighty that you have decided that you're suddenly so much more important, and you eat them. On top of that, you mortals hunt them for sport. For sport. Hollow hunt for sustenance, because they have an insatiable desire to eat souls. Who, I now ask, are the evil ones? Those who kill for both sport and food, or just for food? It's not fun being judged based on what you eat, now is it? Your logic holds no weight in that aspect, so you may stop deciding that hollow are evil for eating something that has every right to "live" when you yourself are guilty of the same crime. Or did you perhaps decide while I was talking that humans and animals were different? Ignorance. Biologically, humans are animals. There exist no differences, so if you conclude mindless hollow as evil for consuming souls, then I demand that you, who holds far more intelligence, denounce your position and be locked up in the lowest prison for being so evil as to eat a cute. little. piggy. I can be ridiculous too, you know." She knew well that she had spoken wrongly to a superior, but she didn't care, it was annoying her that all this anger was being channeled towards her father, simply because the likes of Hibiki and Lee were too narrow-minded to accept anything other than their own opinions. She would not be apologizing, not when he had dropped her mother's title. If he was allowed to be rude, then so was she.

Putting her hands to her hood, she pulled it back, revealing her head, which had no skin and hair, but was only her chassis. "And another thing, sir, regarding my daddy. Would a father who did not care, mentally break down at the death of his only daughter while struggling to keep himself sane in order to console her mother, who was taking it even harder? Would that same uncaring father then take a machine he tirelessly developed for over a year because he could not bear living without that daughter, and then bind her soul to it? Would he then strengthen her soul because it was too weak, by learning how to modify it to create a Zanpakutō? How do you think it makes me feel to hear that, to hear you say that the only reason I lived to get married was because of a whim of my father? Surely that is what you meant, right? Because if he didn't care, then why else would I be here? Is my existence really that shallow in your eyes?" Replacing her hood, Tsukiko stepped away from Lee and turned her back as she approached the roof. Just before she prepared to leave the area via Shunpo, she fumbled with a tracker that had slipped from her sleeve, and then dropped it into the grass below. "Oh yes." She said as if she remembered something important, and then turned around so that she may say it to his face. "My mother was not asking you to change your opinion of him, she was telling you how he was because she wanted you to shut your mouth." With this, she vanished from sight before Tetsunosuke had gone after Hei, leaving the barrier completely because she needed to be away from everything right now. Everything that was happening was only making her pick up a somewhat childish mindset, which was evident by her willingness to talk back to a captain. It didn't matter that the barrier space affected consciousnesses; she was different. Having left a tracker, she could find her way back, and the ring on her finger would erase her Reiatsu.

Getting a worried smile from Elisia in return wasn't exactly encouraging, but she could understand where the worry comes from. To watch as a friend undergo this kind of transformation, Nu knew she would accept her decision, now if only one other Captain would. She doubted that whatever they had, won't exactly be easy to return to, but she wanted to do this, it was her choice, which was easy to say about her. As she turned, it seemed her dear captain was getting scolded repeatedly today, his honor as a shinigami were too high to even think of this acquisition of power as anything but indecent, and she could somewhat relate to that. While she only thought of it as a mean to get stronger, there were those who wished to grow in their own ways, and Hei shouldn't force them. Well, that was what she was thinking before Hei blitzed Hibiki, who clearly shown a distaste in the whole procedure, forcing it upon him.

Hibiki was screaming in hatred, and Lee made little hesitation in binding him further, as to not attack everyone else. Again, this time Tsukiko was scolding him, seems as though the Hakase household had something against the man, but Nu knew it was a simple argument over their views on the situation. While he lay there writhing, Nu was walking closer to Hibiki, examining the process in more detail, as Tetsunosuke seemed to explode in rage over the forced process on him, which was fair. Judging that someone could help Hei, or he could handle himself currently, Nu turned once again to Hibiki, his body completely mummified, wondering on what was going through the Captain's mind now, meeting with the inner hollow that dwells in all Vizard, or so she has heard.... She has seen enough of Hei in action to know the power a mask could serve, but it was fair to say that power was a tool, it all depended on who used it.

"Stay strong Hibiki-taichou, don't let him it win....." Rising up, she wanted to speak with Lee, but knew this was far from the best time. In fact, unless something changed Lee's mindset completely, she doubts she will ever be able to speak with him, but she knew the sacrifices that were made for this, and because she knew, she simply stood there, staring at Hibiki as he lay there cocooned, praying for his own inner success.

⋆⋆⋆ HAKASE xELISIA
yonbantaixTAICHO

Elisia felt a familiar hand run through her hair, whipping her head around in time to see Tsukiko move next to Hibiki and Lee. Realizing what was most likely going to come next as she knew Tsuki too well, she automatically took a step away from the girl. If she was judging correct, Tsukiko, while looking like an adult, still possessed a behaviour that was sometimes like a child at times and especially since Lee had insulted her father, Elisia herself wasn’t doubting what sort of things Tsukiko could say. Almost instantly, Tsukiko launched into a very long speech as Elisia winced every few seconds at what the girl was saying, wringing her hands together as she wondered whether she should be stopping the girl from going any further or simply letting her continue. Her shy side soon won the battle and she retreated, staying silent as the other girl continued. Nevertheless, she was unable to prevent a small shocked noise escape from her lips as she clamped her free hand over her mouth to prevent herself from loudly cursing and swearing at that Sephira who had done it to her beloved wife. As Tsukiko moved to leave, Elisia stretched out a hand, about to catch the girl, but decided against it at the last minute. While Tsukiko was most likely able to do something like that, for Elisia to leave, it would be extremely rude to the others and she wanted to give the other girl some space for the meantime. After this meeting or whatever one might call it, was over, she’d go look for Tsuki and see what would happen then.

Out of the corner of the eye, she noticed Tetsunosuke about to attack Hei. Instantly, she reacted without thinking as she whirled around and shunpo’ed, placing herself between Hei and Tetsunosuke. She swung her zanpakuto around as it clashed with Tetsunosuke’s as she attempted to stop his blow so that Hei wouldn’t get injured. While she knew that Hei was usually capable of taking care of himself, she had no idea of what his capabilities were when he was using Hōgyoku and she knew that she owed her life, many times over, to him, even if she disliked that idea. Also, he was her father-in-law and she knew that Tsukiko would be pained by his death or any injury to him. Not only that, but she had been pretty moved by the other girl’s previous talk about how her father had been the reason that she was still alive today. Pushed backwards due to the amount of force that Tetsunosuke was using, she just barely managed to stay upright and counter-balance his attack. However, she was using both hands at the moment and the tight hold she had on her zanpakuto was causing her to bleed profusely from both hands as she struggled to hold her position. As the blood flowed out of her body and splattered on the ground, she felt her head spinning from yet even more loss of blood and the only reason she had not collapsed yet was because of Hideki’s pills.

It was at this time that her rage peaked, pure fury written over her face. As she lifted her head to gaze at him with fierce and piercing eyes, she opened her mouth to speak in a chilling voice, inflicted with a layer of cold anger, “Stop this nonsense. Fighting is not going to get us anywhere and attacking a comrade is not going to do anything for us either. If we keep fighting amongst ourselves, we’re going to be decimated before we even have a chance to face our real enemies – the Sephira. Make your decision, Harasawa-Taichō.” As she finished this, she staggered suddenly as her energy level took a dangerous drop downwards. Searching for Hideki’s pills, she swallowed two more, waiting for its effects to revive her. Meanwhile, she stared at Tetsunosuke with emotionless eyes, trying to drill her point into his mind. Having taken everything that she could for the moment, she sighed, her face lapsing into tiredness. She lifted one finger, pointing at Hibiki as she whispered, “Chiyudō #30: Iyashi” to take place of her Shikai as she sheathed her sword. Looking at the others, she murmured her apologies in a voice loud enough for the others to hear, “I’m sorry, I think I’ll just go see how Tsukiko is…” There was nothing else for her to do here and she’d prefer to face Arrancar and fight rather than seeing her comrades fight in this way. Turning around, she exited, leaving in the same way that Tsukiko had gone.

Unfortunately for Elisia, finding Tsukiko was a little harder than she had anticipated. Since there was a decent amount of time between them and Elisia herself had no idea of where she was going or of the immediate area, she found herself giving into her panicking emotions, small tears forming at the corner of her eyes as she hoped that the girl would be alright. Nobody could see her or Tsukiko so there was no point in asking anyone around to help. Thinking back on what she had just done, she wondered how she could have been so irrational. With a lack of directions, she had gone off to find her wife, only to get lost herself. She didn’t even have any idea of how to get back! Slumping against a nearby wall, she rubbed at her eyes, trying to get a grip on herself. Her dress was not very suitable to move around far in and she was already feeling a little cold since it was rather thin. Rubbing her shoulders and curling herself up in a ball for warmth, she looked up at the endless blue sky, her face sad as she mumbled in a pained voice under her breath to herself.

“Tsuki, Tsuki, where are you?”

"Truth is simply a conception..."

Lee was becoming far too predictable at this point, Hideki felt. He had an open mouth seemed to blab past its limits. He never seemed to know when to stop, and it amused Hideki to no end to see the man eat his words every time. If the scold came not by Yuki, then it came by Hei’s daughter, which would come later, as Hideki would soon find out. At the moment, however, Hideki found Lee to be stuck in a terrible situation that would easily compromise his very ability to think straight. His prod to point out that Hei was doing something wrong to Yuki as Hei made his move was so childish it was ridiculous. Hideki rolled his eyes at this and shifted in his spot before crossing his arms again and waiting for Lee’s response to Hei’s question. He acted as planned, though far later than Hideki predicted. He thought he would save Hibiki in a heartbeat, not wanting to see him die. It would appear though he wanted to be a self struck hero by figuring he would be doing Hibiki a favor by killing him. Something Hideki found rude, but to each his own thinking of the ways of the world.

As he sealed him under the forbidden Bakudō, Hideki noticed Elisia attempt to sooth the pain that would evidently come from the orbs power on Hibiki. Hideki wondered if this would have repercussions on Elisia, or if the orb would allow it to happen. In any case, she was helping the man out by lessening his pain. The late appearance of Tetsunosuke only seemed to make this entire situation far more irritating than ever, even if he had simply be hiding away in a corner. People were bickering over the stupidest things and everyone seemed to want to get involved. Where was the honor in everyone? Not only was this man late, but at the whimsy of Hibiki becoming ensconced by the orb, he moved to attack Hei. Of all people, someone who has crushed him before; Hideki could only take pity on such a man before sighing verbally. His sigh, however, would become muted by Hibiki’s constant profanity towards Hei as the bandages wrapped themselves around his body. It was comical and amusing to say the least, but Hideki cared little for the lack of intelligent thinking, even if the man was being eaten by an orb.

What made Hideki smile was Tsukiko, who compared the Shinigami to the Hunter and the Hollow as the helpless hunted. “My thoughts exactly, dear Tsukiko, my thoughts exactly.” He had done the same within his head when the issue first arose and he felt happy that some else had seen it the same way he had. It was a simplistic way to view it, but still rang true no matter which way you struck it. Hideki stepped forward once Elisia made her short splurge of emotion to have them stop fighting, placing his hand upon her shoulder as she turned to look for Tsukiko, Hideki spoke as well. “I can only help to agree with dear Elisia here. Have you all no honor? Have you all no understanding of the situation? Where do you have the place to intervene between the three that are involved? This is between Lee, Hibiki, and Hei. This can be seen as a test for Lee and Hibiki. Hei knows this, and would not simply put someone in danger. He knew Lee would not kill Hibiki. And he more than likely knows what will happen with Hibiki, which is all the more reason to understand why he moved for him first when Nu and I were right before him. All of you who want to hurt Hei, who want to ‘teach’ him a lesson, need to sit back and watch and remember all of the damn lessons he has taught you, whether you realized it or not! Now, Tetsunosuke, get your a** back and watch!

Hideki, feeling happy or content with his interjection, shifted in his stance and knew he may be berated by the one man he could almost honestly say annoyed him. It was easy to ignore it all, but it was also a task to bite his tongue and strike him down with his own words. In any case, Hideki was now content with the situation and hoped that the violent natures that were floating around would subside for the better of the group. It was silly to see everyone become childish in their anger. They were far from children and had to live up to their status of captains and stop bickering over the fate of another that would ultimately become a great one, not a dead one.

Masashi, Lee, Gobantai Taichō

"Hold it together. Birds of a feather. Nothing but lies and crooked wings. I have the answer. Spreading the cancer. You are the faith inside me. No, Don't, leave me to die here. Help me survive here, alone. Don't Remember! Remember! Put me to sleep, Evil Angel. Open your wings, Evil Angel. I'm a believer. Nothing could be worse. All these imaginary friends. Hiding betrayal. Driving the nail. Hoping to find a savior. No, don't, leave me to die here. Help me survive here, alone. Don't Surrender! Surrender! Put me to sleep, Evil Angel. Open your wings, Evil Angel. Fly over me, Evil Angel. Why can't I breathe, Evil Angel?"

Lee didn't bat an eyelash as Elisia began siphoning pain from Hibiki curious as to if it would interfere with the hollowification or not. He didn't claim to be an expert on the situation though it was pretty pointless in his eyes. He was not conscious at the moment so even if it didn't interfere it was a waste of time. If it did interfere then Hibiki would have no chance what so ever and it was as good as killing him. Lee knew Elisia well enough to know she would not take that well. Yokozuki arrived but Lee was beyond explaining things at the moment so he was promptly ignored. Hibiki had said some words to Hei before trying to stop the man but Lee knew it was pointless. The deed was already done. After shouting some very choice words he was covered in spiritual fabric and subsequently silenced. Seeing the odd move Hibiki was using and noticing that he might just break out of the barrier if he continued to struggle Lee did the natural though perhaps cruel thing. He kicked Hibiki though not exceedingly hard and breathed out a few words.
"Stop struggling dammit. You might make it worse." Surely it might anger a few people but perhaps the shock factor if nothing else from the kick would calm the man down. If not well then he would most certainly bind him further.

That was around the time Tsukiko approached him and Lee let out another sigh already knowing what was coming and taking it as he did with Yuki. The first phrase out of her mouth told him that her statements and choice words would not be pleasant. Then her fingertip was put to his stomach as she was going to get at least partially physical as well. Honestly what was it with them? If he were did get physical with either her or Yuki even if it was something as simple as poking them then all hell would break lose. Yet it was perfectly alright for this to happen to him? Of course there was the fact he was a man and they were women but he doubted that it would be any different were he a woman. Her long winded speech was obviously to get him to see that Hollows were not necessarily evil they were just eating to survive. That thought had crossed his mind long ago though he had to tell himself they were evil for such methods to make it alright killing them. Of course over the years it had ceased to matter but old habits die hard. He also did not miss her poking him in the stomach for each word while saying cute little piggy.

"Yes I understand what you are saying and quite frankly if someone were to seek me out to imprison me for such a thing then it is their choice. The same could be said for a hollow eating a cute defenseless little girl as well though correct? Forgive me for not seeing animals as quite on the same level as Humans or Shinigami but I am who I am." Lee was aggravated by the fact she was calling his views ridiculous since he thought them perfectly acceptable. Perhaps she was just being childish in her defense of her Father? Who was to tell. Then she pulled back her hood and his eyes briefly widened slightly at what was beneath it or rather what wasn't beneath it. He knew she was a machine but it was still odd to think of her as such. Hearing what she said Lee just stared unblinkingly giving her his full attention if for no other reason than it was her wedding day. Her words were shocking but he already knew Hei cared deeply for her and Yuki. Then came the bit about Yuki only telling him so he would shut his mouth. Wow that was fair. So he was supposed to take a verbal backlash and physical backlash only to be expected to not at least defend his statements. Not long after Tsukiko left leaving Lee standing there.

Lee let out a sigh at everything wondering if his words had been twisted or if he had spoke so wrongly. Why couldn't he think of the right thing to say today. He didn't mean Hei didn't care for Tsukiko or Yuki just everyone else. It was quite obvious Hei cared for Yuki and Tsukiko to the point where even if he stated otherwise it was never a question.
"I didn't mean it like that. I only meant that his obvious love does not excuse him from his actions." His voice came out as barely above a whisper as he was tired with the whole situation and quite frankly emotionally drained at this point. Most were upset with him in some way or another and Hei and obviously Hideki as well were quite pleased by his struggle. He was really beyond caring at the moment. He just wanted Hei to use the damn orb on whoever else he decided to use it on and move past things. Hei obviously had his choices already made and Lee was in no condition to even think about stopping him at this point. Obviously by how everybody was so quick to accept this or defend Hei it wasn't that big of a deal anymore so why should he give a damn? If they wanted it they could have it.

Then Tetsunosuke chose this exact moment to suddenly attack Hei for forcibly turning Hibiki. Was the man daft? Given his current state it was highly unlikely he was going to do anything more than be a minor nuisance. Especially with Yuki nearby who would not take kindly to Hei being attack physically if she reacted in such a way to him being talked bad about verbally. Thinking about stopping the man before something bad happened to him as well Elisia intervened. When she spoke her voice was cold and biting and quite frankly a little surprising. Her words not really harsh though after they were done she didn't linger long before leaving to find her wife. Nu had gone unnoticed at this point given she didn't speak to him and he closed his eyes in frustration for a moment taking a seat on the ground. Resting his arms on his legs he listened to Hideki but said nothing. A test? So he was simply a subject in other of Hei's tests. The thought angered but Lee bit it down and didn't dignify the words with a response.

"Just hurry the hell up Hei. I grow weary of this argument and just desire to not even be in your presence anymore. I am sure you feel the same as does Yuki, Tsukiko, and Hideki I would say." It was obvious talking was getting him nowhere as everyone was taking his words wrongly or he was speaking wrongly one. The only reason he had dropped honorifics with them is that they had done the same to him especially when Yuki had referred to him as boy. As far as he was concerned she was insulting him by speaking in such a way when he hadn't been rude before. Besides except for Yuki when was the last time anybody even referred to him with honorifics even when he did so nearly constantly. Hell most of the time Hei didn't even use his name. Well there were a few but still it seemed pointless to him. Perhaps he had been wrong in his assumption of what Yuki had said but quite frankly he didn't see it as being rude. There were very few honorifics being used in this situation because of how tense things were. In fact the situation was quickly becoming unbearably tense partially because of him. Well more than partially.

"I am not incapable of admitting when I am wrong. Even if I am wrong I just don't see how I am wrong currently. Perhaps I am just not finding the right words and therefore I am going to stop trying. Do what you will it is obvious my opinion holds no meaning. I will remain until they are bound then I shall leave and give you all space." After his last sentance he just sat there in defeat and feeling very alone eyes still closed. This was quickly becoming one of the worst days of his life and he just wanted it to be over now. Most were either angry with him or didn't share his views enough to even side with him. Hibiki had been forcibly silenced in his opinion and his own voice was used up for the time being it seemed. In fact his emotions were used up it seemed. It had been a long time indeed that he truly felt emotionally drained and it was a feeling he did not enjoy. Even if some of the others enjoyed to see him in this state.

"...allow me to show you a fate worse than death."

Hearing Hibiki curse his name and existence as Hei abruptly and forcibly used the Hōgyoku on him, Hei couldn't help but crack a small smile that would go unnoticed unless one was to be staring directly at his lips. "Good. If you wish to kill me, then hate me. Detest me, and yet survive in an unsightly way. Run, run, and run, and cling to life- then surpass me. As you are now, you have no hope; your blade will never reach me." A moment later, once Hibiki had been bound and the process had started up completely, he spoke to Lee and gave him his ultimatum, which he knew what the boy would choose. He cast the captain a look of indifference as he made his decision, even after spouting contrary to Yuki's previous statements, which actually made sense because Lee didn't know any better. However, there were small pieces to his statements that were utterly ridiculous. "Things such as this?...." Hei turned his head away from Lee, sliding his eyes shut as he expressed his disappointment in Lee. Parting his lips, he let a breath roll past his teeth as he took care to allow his next statement to hit home. "Hypocrite. This is to prevent the needless death of Shinigami." Hei opened his eyes, lifting his left hand, which was now closest to Lee, and held his other fingers loosly has he extended his index finger towards the captain. "Just as you did, when you killed your adoptive brother."

Seeing Tsukiko move out of the corner of his eye, he turned his gaze upon her, though his head remained stationary. Upon hearing her speak, he was half-annoyed that she had chosen to reveal a moment that he had exhibited weakness, but let it go for now since it involved her as well. He remained silent he watched her leave and once Lee had finished responding to her, he sensed Tetsunosuke coming after him and was prepared to lift his foot and step down on his blade in order to push it into the roof, and then knee him in the stomach before touching the Hōgyoku to his own body to begin the transformation. Unfortunately, Elisia took that moment to step in and interfere with all of this and cross blades with his attacker, much to his own surprise. For a split second, he lost his mask of indifference as his eyes widened in response to her protection of him. He did not anticipate to be protected by anyone, especially not one as timid as Elisia. His surprise quickly subsided, however, as he repositioned himself, drawing the Hōgyoku from the shelf in the barrier and putting it to his mouth. Hei extended his tongue and scooped the orb up into the bowl shaped of his tongue, then pulled it inside his mouth, swallowing it with little effort. Because he had no way of performing the 4th Dimensional barrier at this point, the next safest place was in his body. He would retrieve it later through surgery, but for now, he extended a slender finger in Tetsunosuke's direction. "Attacking a captain is treason. You're lucky Elisia-kun was there to stop you, or I would be talking to a corpse right now."

Turning away, he began to approach Yuki, yet continued talking as he neared her. Once he was next to her, he bent over and kissed the top of her head. "Okay, we'll have another baby then. I am happy." After he had straightened up, he put his hand on the top of her head and raked his fingers through her silky hair. In order to speak his final statement to those who remained up here, he turned his head and cast them the same look of indifference he had been giving them all this time. "When you're done bitching about my methods, you might clear your mind to the fact that I'm a genius. As if I'd allow you to permanently keep such a power that was only meant to be shouldered by me in the first place." These two statements had two implications behind them, both subtle and not-so-subtle at the same time. The first was that, when he proclaimed himself as a genius, then proceeded to mention them not keeping the power, he was implying that he had already discovered or invented a method for removing the inner hollow of a Vizard, and vice versa, thus returning them to normal. In actuality, he had discovered this method while trying to think of a way to beat Zenos, but discarded it after realizing that Zenos would have to be captured and detained before he could perform the alterations. Since he had to be beaten before he could be captured, it was out of the question. However, this process resurfaced once he made the decision to undergo Hollowfication, in case he should ever require a way out. The second implication that he left behind was made by the phrase "only meant to be shouldered by me in the first place." While anyone that was incredibly pissed off at him would simply ignore this part and focus on the fact that he was seemingly being selfish about the power, those who had a clear head would catch that he was treating Hollowfication like it were a burden that he wanted to get rid of but couldn't.

Vanishing with a Shunpo, he too left the barrier, but not to go in search for Tsukiko; she was a big girl now and once she found Elisia, he was certain that she would lead the girl to a hotel or another private place to stay so that they could enjoy their wedding night like a normal newlywed couple could. Instead, Hei went off in search of a bank. Hei was brilliant, this much was true, so he naturally had several contingency plans set in place should something go wrong. Among them was keeping a large part of his own fortune in the Human World, scattered across the globe so that he may get to it in a situation like this. He was not worried about tellers, he would just use the ATM attached to the bank since he didn't care if someone saw money magically floating around. As for the barrier that would normally prevent him from finding his way back, he had already devised a method for beating that a long time ago. As he had stood on the roof, berating others and hollowfying Hibiki, he had memorized his surroundings so that when Hachigyō Sōgai erased the apartment from his consciousness, the surrounding area would not be affected. On top of this, he had repeated a mantra to himself that would create a sight-memory trigger to make him release Bankai when he saw the buildings next to the apartment complex. Once Bankai was in place, the barrier's effect would be removed from his mind, and he would be able to slip through.

[Edited: I said the area wouldn't remain instead of wouldn't be affected. I'm making some fail mistakes lately... xd ]

Sixth Division's Captain

Tetsunosuke's swords swing wasn't his strongest, so it was a good thing that Elisia had used her sword to stop it. A surprised look grew on his face when their swords met. "E-Elisia..." He said with astonishment. He looked passed Elisia to see Hei was surprised as well. A smirk would have been drawn on his face at any other moment. Tetsun quickly withdrew his sword away from Elisia's; which she continued and began to speak to him. "My decision is to -" He looked away as he couldn't think of a response. Tetsu clenched his teeth shut, Elisia's attitude toward him wasn't something he had enjoyed; he thought of her as a good friend, and she was right - mostly. He took a step back and sheathed his Zanpakuto. Apologetic eyes were rested on Elisia as she went off in search of her spouse. Hideki's voice came from his side as he spoke, Tetsu glared to see him, but didn't bother retorting.

Hei's comment about treason made Tetsunosuke sarcastic scuff. "Like you're injustices make you any better? I acted out of emotions, but you act out of your own personal goals and pleasures." Tetsunosuke glared toward him as he crossed his arms over his chest. Hei continued with talking after he spoke to Yuki about his elatedness over the pregnancy. "Mad scientist is more like it." Tetsunosuke hummed under his breath as he started to walk away from the scene. He figured Lee, Hideki, and the others could handle the annoying Hibiki on their own. His concern was else where. Tetsunosuke stepped away from everyone to find a seat on the ground, sitting in an Indian position. He had removed his katana before sitting and laid it next to him. He wasn't doing Jinzen, since this wouldn't be a good time for it, but he was just trying to think of the current situation. He closed his eyes as he controlled his breathing. 'If Elisia hadn't interfered... I wonder what Hei would have done to me.'

Her prayers for the Captain's sucess was rudely interuppted by the clash of blades. With a groan, he lifted her head, expecting Hei to counter Tetsunosuke, but was suprised to see Elisia defend her newly made father in law, not so much as defending Hei, but for everyone to resort to this over such beliefs. She looked tired, and it was no suprise that she wanted a breath of fresh air, the tension in the area was almost tangible. Hei too appeared as though he wished to get out, as he proceeded to swallow the Hōgyoku, and vanished with a Shunpo, leaving everyone behind tired, in various ways, shapes, and forms. Her eyes glancing to where Hei had left to, her mind not so angry as it was curious to his words. He never made it sound like being a Vizard was easy, so she had to wonder what kind of life she will lead once this is over, the same kind of life Hei has been leading for years. If Hei could get rid of his hollow at his leisure, he must be needing it for something, though the answer to that was foreign to her and all this concentration, coupled with the day's events, taxed her mind, and taxed her bod, as she stood, briskly walking away from Hibiki as he was still undergoing the process, to Lee, or to be more precise; to the right of him.

Honestly; she didn't know what to say to the man. She felt like she betrayed the man's trust, siding to become a vizard. On the other hand, she was a captain first, a woman second, so this was the better choice for everyone. Still, she could at least show the man that she was still there to lend him a pillar of support. Usually she sides with mostly everything Lee thinks, their ideals almost parallel to everything but this. And at the current moment, it seemed Lee was feeling quite alone in his standing, and it was beginning to show on his face. Offering an hand to her former Captain's shoulder, she squeezed once before letting go, in the event it might get brushed aside. Sitting down cross-legged, she could hardly see what to do now that Hei left, except wait and rest.

She was left in her own Inner World to think, a way to talk with Tenka and seek her wisdom. "So, you think I am doing the right thing?" In her realm, she was laying calmly on her back, her head resting on her spirit's lap, looking at nothing but the sky. The only interesting thing was that it was lacking the sun, yet light still shown from a invisible source. "Its your life, I believe your soul is big enough for another resident...." Her voice was neutral in the matter, always stating the facts without much emotion to detect in the voice. Nu often wondered why ask her sword questions when it was a manifestation of her soul therefore, she would know the answers, but did so anyway. "Tch, a captain like me.....hesitating over a man like him.." The smirk she let out was merely for her, to think it would have been impossible, somehow that might have helped. "You give up on him already? After a few minutes ago?" With a sudden laugh, Nu rises up, not surprised her spirit saw what she did while Lee was "sleeping", but brushed it aside as she looked up at the sunless sky. "Humph, you don't know him like I do Tenka......." The background began to dim as she wished to return to reality, Tenka and Nu the only definite shapes left. "You'd be surprised Mitsuru, let's see what happens~" With a wave to the Captain, Tenka dissipates, Nu opening both her eyes, nothing seems to have changed here, but Nu honestly felt a better sense of herself and her identity with her visit.

"Lee-taichou, perhaps you should rest until Hei returns, we can handle Hibiki.." It wasn't as though she will avoid the man the rest of her life, and Hibiki was thoroughly restrained, and even if set loose, most of the Captains were here to restrain him.

Hakase Yuki

Ichibantai Taichō

While her hand still covered the majority of her face, Yuki continued to grow more and more frustrated by everything that was going on, especially all of the arguing and things being tossed around about Hei. Granted, she was not thrilled with the way Hei had gone about choosing to hollowfy Hibiki, and Lee had a small point, in that she could not defend his methods in that respect, but she also knew why he had done it and she could easily defend that. Unfortunately she could not see Lee beginning to be able to accept their way of thinking, and that was okay; he was not meant to, after all. He was a captain, a soldier in her military, so it was not a necessity for him to understand what her reasons were. He was there to serve the Gotei 13, not run it.

Yuki kept her hand to her face, staring at the ground as needless words were tossed back and forth between the captains, only serving to further irritate her. Her patience had begun to wear thin enough as it was, and after hearing Tsukiko talk about her own death and leave because she had found Lee's words so insulting, she was finally backed into a corner of her emotions. Now, upon hearing the sound of steel on steel, she glanced up through her fingers at Elisia holding back Tetsunosuke who was trying to attack Hei. Yuki bit her lower lip as her body trembled in frustration as she listened to Elisia's best efforts at trying to stop all of the fighting. Hei himself did not make it any better, however, he still hadn't learned when to stop talking. Just as she was getting ready to explode and drop her Reiatsu on all of them before unwinding on them in a way similar to what she had done to Lee, Hei appeared by her side, kissing her and telling her he was happy about the baby. Taking a slow, gasping breath, her eyes widened as he caressed her head. As mad as she was at the moment, there was nothing quite as sooting as his gentle touch and her trembles turned to quivers as Hei managed to turn her anger upside down. She barely managed to squeak out a "stupid idiot", and when it came out, it was below a whisper and it held no anger. Yuki had been trying to punish him, but he made it hard sometimes, luckily he had no idea of that. She would do it later. For now though, she managed to calm herself once he was gone and exhaled before interjecting.

"Enough..." She said, standing up from her chair as she could no longer take any more arguing. "Enough talking. The time for words is over. For the sake of regaining the Soul Society and conquering the Sephira, I hereby declare the Gotei 13 to be free of race distinction, and in that, I decree that Kirisho Hibiki, Uchiro Hideki, Naohito Nu, and Harasawa Tetsunosuke be exposed to Hollowfication and that they be subject to training under one Hakase Hei to prevent them from getting out of control. In one year and six months, after I have delivered my child, we will return and take back what is ours. This conversation is over, I do not feel well anymore. Nekkyo Yokozuki, Uchiro Hideki, and Masashi Lee, you are under no circumstances to leave this roof until Kirisho Hibiki has regained his control over the hollow inside him. After which, Masashi Lee, you will spend the rest of the afternoon using Kidō to create an underground training area for the future Vizard. Sakamoto Tadashi, you will assist Yuuki Suzume and Itsuki Akane in preparing a meal for the rest of us; Chiyoko Suzume, first prepare a bed for me, then get into the rest of the apartments and make sure they are clean for us to use. That is all, I don't want to hear anything regarding my orders. My word is law, and if I am disturbed, then I cannot guarantee I won't tamper with your meal." It was an empty threat, of course, but a believable one given how frustrated she was at the moment. With a low growl, intent on stressing her seriousness, she disappeared behind the door to the stair case and made her way to the kitchen where she sat down at the table.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxLoneliness hit me suddenly,

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxafter all that I have ever DREAMED of,
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI really don’t like F I G H T I N G

Suzume sighed as she watched the Captains basically fight this out, a method that she would rather not use at all, to tell the truth. Then again, she had only been here for a year or so and was still a Lieutenant, so perhaps this was the way in which Captains dealt with things such as this? She didn’t have much of an idea of what they were meant to do, so she stayed silent, only listening to Tadashi’s response. “The remaining sane part is the problem, I guess. Do you think your Captain will be able to go through the Hollowfication process successfully?” she murmured back. Tsukiko had also launched into a rant as well, comparing them, the Shinigami, to hunters in a way, before leaving, apparently fed up with everything that had happened. Seeing an appearance of yet another Captain who attempted to then attack Hei, she watched with interest, wondering what Hei would do. Unfortunately, she never managed to find out, since at that moment, her sister intervened, speaking in a tone that was utterly different from her usual demeanour before leaving as well. Soon after, Hei left as well, for one reason or another. Hibiki was still struggling and her own Captain seemed absolutely drained, especially with so much arguing going on.

Suddenly as their Captain Commander finally spoke, Suzume straightened her back, looking at Yuki in alertness. She didn’t doubt the woman’s capacity to get angry and she didn’t want to be the one to set it off in the first place. With a long list of instructions in place, Suzume herself was a little surprised that she was the one that had been put to cleaning, instead of cooking. Perhaps Tadashi had some special cooking skills? She didn’t know. Waiting until the Captain Commander left, she looked at Tadashi, pulling a wry smile, “I guess we’d better get to work before anything else happens. I’ll see you later, Tadashi.” With that, she got up, heading through the door into what she believed was Hibiki’s apartment. Her first instruction had been to prepare a bed for Yuki and she would have to find a room. Hibiki’s apartment seemed to be consisted of two parts – a bedroom for himself, judging by the items scattered on the floor, and another bedroom with a double bed. Perhaps he might have shared with someone? She didn’t know and it wasn’t like she could ask him, since he was currently battling him Hollow or something like that. Deciding that the bedroom with the double bed was slightly cleaner and larger, she set to work – sweeping the floor to get rid of the dust, changing the bed sheets with spare ones she found in the cupboard, fluffing the pillows out and carefully putting away the personal belongings that were around the room.

Tadashi Sakamoto

9th Division Lieutenant

Looking at his Captain, Tadashi was becoming less and less keen on this whole Hollowfication process. He had no doubt in his mind that he'd be able to overcome the madness an inner Hollow would try to instill in its vessel, but he doubted the same could be said for most people. Tenma had forced him to accept his true nature and in the process of doing so made him face the madness buried inside his own mind. Tadashi remembered vaguely a flash from his battle with Tenma when he had entered the Inner World to attain Bankai. The zanpakuto had thrown him into a Ketsueki Sakushi-induced craze and had made him fight for what felt like hours. He couldn't necessarily remember the ending of the battle, but it was obvious that he'd won since his Bankai was now available.

He nodded at the first part of Suzume's response. That much was already obvious. To the question about Hibiki's mental survival through the process, he simply murmured an "Of course" and continued to brood. He could only assume that Hei would let those he knew that could successfully become Vizards be the ones to shift, therefore a Lieutenant like him wouldn't even be on the list. Still, the good reason for that was right in front of him - Hibiki was obviously struggling, and he was a Captain of no small strength.

Then he heard the Captain Commander assign him the oddest of tasks out of all of them - a chef. No, not even a chef, a chef's assistant for these two people he'd never even met. A twinge of anger was forcibly beat back from his inner depths as he nodded to no one in particular and responded to Suzume, "Hai...I suppose i'll need all the time I can spare for my 'task'."

He stepped over to where the only two completely unfamiliar faces were after a side glance at Hibiki. There was no sense trying to stay and offer emotional support when his mind was elsewhere, so the Captain would probably understand why his Lieutenant wasn't there. He then turned to the two he was supposed to assist. "The kitchen would be this way..." he murmured, intending to lead the two down to where Hibiki's apartment was. It would be a long "year and six months".

"Truth is simply a conception..."

Lee never seemed to understand when to stop, though, at this point in time, it finally dawned on him to stop speaking all together. Hideki was still in the same spot he had stopped at to yell over everyone, and had his right hand at his chin, tapping it every few seconds with the curve of his index finger, as he had his fist balled. He was also biting his upper lip. It had not completely dawned on him that Elisia had actually defended Hei with her own blade until this very moment, which in and of itself was completely a profound statement of some kind of loyalty, whether she meant it or not. He was surprised, but only expressed it via his eyes. That soon settled down, however, and he returned to his absent minded thinking.

Hideki could feel Yuki’s irritation in the air, metaphorically, if anything, and his right eye twisted in its socket to look towards her as Hei made his way towards her. He watched her seemed to release all of her tension into an outward exclaim that came with, apparently, Hei’s touch. This was hard to actually understand, given that the only feeling Hideki ever had, physically, from Hei was his blade against his, and it was always so clean and cut, precise and strong, but, in the sense of what just happened, Hei seemed as gentle as a petal drifting in the air. It was almost touching to Hideki, but he brushed this off. In his left eye, as he watched the movements of Hei and Yuki, he was keeping tabs on the four in front of him: Lee, Hibiki, Elisia, and Tetsu. Lee had seemed to learned his lesson, or at least come to terms with the situation, and, as Hideki took it, moved to an air of sarcastic movements and comments on Hibiki’s and Hei’s progress. It was childish, yes, but if it helped him, Hideki would not object to it at all. Just around this time was when Hei moved, and now that he watched the man leave, Hideki knew Yuki’s turn was coming.

Turning on the ball of his foot, Hideki turned to face her just as she stood from her seat, most definitely commanding their attention, which was understandable. She was clearly fed up with this situation completely with her choice of words used at the beginning of her long list of orders. Apparently she, or Hei, had devised a list of who will become these Vizards, proving Hideki right within his mind about Hei having already planned that part out. It was surprising that Hei would have Tetsunosuke in mind, though I suppose it was because he had potential, but lacked the ability to bring it to fruition without more power behind his techniques and without proper guidance. Nu was probably there as either a back up for the others or as a bribe for her to gain more power, fueling her vengeance. Hibiki was an apparent choice. Hideki himself, however, seemed an odd choice, whether it was out of trust or interest, he could not tell, but wanting the power to experience it was something that Hideki sought greatly, and welcomed the choice. Next came the orders from Yuki; of Lee, Hideki, and Yokozuki, of whom Hideki knew less about than anything here, to watch Hibiki until his process was over.

Hideki understood and simply nodded, knowing she was fatigued from stress and could probably flip with another comment, good or bad in her ear range. He brushed off the rest of what Yuki said in reference to the others and moved towards Lee, leaning close to his ear, as his right eyes awkwardly moved back into place, “I will be over there. I will not need to be bothered if anything happens. I will be aware. For that you can be sure. I do not do well is socially awkward situations such as this. Someone who may resent me and someone I do not know a thing about.” Hideki motioned to Lee and then Yokozuki, appropriately, at the end of his whispering statement.

Hideki then moved past Lee the edge of the roof and sat, Indian-style, facing Hibiki, his back to the edge. He then was suddenly shot from his Gigai, becoming his former self, in terms of appearance, and the Gigai shrunk to the size of a small figurine, big enough only to fit atop a cake. He grasped it and sat down yet again, this time unsheathing Datenshi, bringing him around to his lap, laying it with a part of the blade on each of his knees. He closed his eyes and then opened them slowly, the surroundings around him, of the roof and the lot, of Lee and Yokozuki, and of the others, all seemed to melt away as the large expanse of black below him and white above him stretched forth, enveloping everything else. The two great expanses met on a patent horizon that stretched all around in a seemingly endless circle, which was true on all accounts.

Hideki’s eyes were fully opened once he was actually within his inner world. He took a deep breath sighed outwardly, the breath rolling around and out of his mouth as he did so. He stood from his spot and stabbed his blade into the blackness below him, the silver tip of the blade seemingly being cut off from existence. “So are you going to come out now? Or are you going to be annoying and make me wait?” Hideki crossed his arms impatiently and tapped his right foot. His voice echoed across the vast dimension for a few seconds and he ended up waiting a minute or two until a voice rang back. “I thought I would have at least some fun with you this time around, dear ol’Deki-kun. After all, we hardly talk any more.” Datenshi materialized behind Hideki, his right arm over Hideki’s shoulders and his mouth just behind Hideki’s left ear.

Hideki’s eyebrow twitched and his gaze shifted to the left, his head staying motionless. “I came here to discuss something with you. Now if you want to actually have a say in any of this, though it has already been decided, then I suggest you shut up and listen. Now get in front of me.” Datenshi let out a sigh from his lips, escaping softly behind Hideki’s ear before his arm slid from its resting place on Hideki’s shoulder and his fingers loosely fell one by one off of Hideki’s left shoulder as Datenshi moved forwards. He was about 3 feet in front of Hideki before he spun around to face the man on the ball of his foot. “Such a callous welcome, Hideki-sama. Why are you so tense? You are on a mini-vacation that could be far more luxurious, but it has its charms, I suppose.” Datenshi rested his right hand onto his hip and looked at Hideki willingly. Joukai and Tsuchi have long since been controlled by Datenshi and his schizophrenia had now become a single identity that still held characteristics of each.

Hideki grabbed the bridge of his nose and massaged it softly before sighing and looking up to Datenshi. “You are going to have a friend soon. He will not be friendly, by any means, but he will be here. In fact, he will look just like me, I would imagine.” Datenshi’s face turned to one of confusion. “What do you mean friend. What the hell are you going to be dabbling into now?” Hideki moved forward and stood directly next to Datenshi, crossing his arms and staring into the bright white ‘sky’ of his Inner World. “I am going to be undergoing Hollowfication, Datenshi-san. That means I will have an Inner Hollow floating around in this space along with you, so I have read. Hei has it planned, though he says it is temporary. I think he knows more than he lets on, which is normally the ca-” “Temporary!? How ******** absurd! Something like that does not just come and go at the whim of you or anyone else! You are a fool for thinking such things. Nary a thought could even think of simply removing a part of yourself without destroying you in the process.” Datenshi interjected before Hideki could finish, thoroughly irritated with Hideki’s, or at this point in the conversation as Datenshi saw it, lack of insight of the subject and his blind loyalty to his former captain.

Hideki turned his head away from Datenshi, looked off to the right and towards the ‘ground’ now. He bit his lower lip as if regretting saying anything at all and swallowed before speaking again, his tone aggravated. “If you would have let me finish, he said he was giving this power to us temporarily. Hei is a man of few words that are short of necessary, and with a choice of words such as temporary or temporarily being used, he most certainly has a plan to back them up. He must have figured out a way to remove the hollow from one’s body. I can only, doubly so, understand this as being true in the sense that just after that, Hei spoke of the Hollowfication as being his burden to bare… What do you think of this? Datenshi turned to face Hideki placed his hand on his shoulder before walking out into the expanse, lifting is arms up into the air. “You seem to understand this man and his methods, so I cannot really argue with you. He obviously has his reasons, and the point that it was his burden was peculiar. Perhaps he sees the power as an annoyance just as the rest of the captains do, deep down. Perhaps Hei does not like the animal within him that he must tame for the sake of others. Perhaps…” Datenshi had now moved his right hand to his mouth and was taping his index finger to the corner of it and began to smile at the cliché act he was doing now. He continued for a few minutes before he found Hideki to be too silent, and turned to see him.

Hideki was on the ground, legs crossed and his elbow in his knee, with his head resting upon his hand. He had a drab look on his face and was sighing profusely. “Hei is such a pride stricken man. He hides behind his arrogance. I think Yuki and Tsukiko see this most. I do not understand why he believes everyone needs to depend on him. We are here to help. s**t… I cannot count on one hand the number of times he has help us. Hibiki and Lee are blind to this, though I think they see it as well. It is a strange contradiction, I know, but it is true. They acknowledge his advancements of help, but they are all too quick to grasp for his wrong doings, whether they be made for all the right reasons. It is as if they are cursing tomorrow with sorrow. As if they want to see him fall.” Datenshi was now next to Hideki, or rather in front of him, as he ended his small monologue, and Datenshi shuffled his hand in his hair as if he were a child. “Ahhh, Hideki-sama. The facts of life and how they do not turn out the way you always wish them too. Though I cannot answer for you, the questions that you have, as I have no place too, I can simply say that what will happen, will happen, for better or for worse. If Hei wishes for others to depend upon him, whether it is intentional or not, will be his business. It is a bland piece of advice, but the only one I can offer.” Datenshi began to move towards the blade, or rather him, that was, or who was, stabbed into the large expanse of blackness below them and wrapped is right hand around the Tsuka.

Now, if you are done contemplating the problems and confusing points of your life at the moment, I believe you have an inner demon to fight on your agenda later. Let me at least attempt to aid you in your fight to overcome him, as this is the only way I really will help you. I will not act with you when the time comes unless it is as a blade.

Hideki sat in wait as he listened to Datenshi speak forth of the situation as he felt. He nodded softly and heard the echoing footsteps as he moved towards the blade that was embedded into the ground. When he grasped it, Hideki’s mouth cracked to a grin of almost bliss. With the words that sealed the action, Hideki was upon his feet within seconds and facing Datenshi with a look on his face nothing short of some sort of boyish charm. He was happy that his Soul was willing to help divert his worries into something productive. Throwing his right hand out, another blade solidified under his palm and Hideki grasped it as Datenshi pulled his blade from the ground and turned to face Hideki. Both had grins on their faces and they nodded.

Thank you, Datenshi-san.” The only response he got from the spirit was a scoff of approval before the spirit was upon him within an instant, the blade close to Hideki’s throat. Hideki threw himself back to avoid the slash and lifted his left leg upwards to catch Datenshi’s chin as he moved backwards, but was thwarted by Datenshis own hand, of which blocked the hand before it met its mark and grasp Hideki’s foot. Datenshi pulled Hideki’s foot and aimed to grab his neck, but Hideki lifted his knee into Datenshi’s torso and flipped him over his body. Both got back to their feet and Hideki grinned cockishly and a breath rolled past his teeth. “This should be fun.

[LOL. No thread would be proper without a development post by moi. Right? Everybody else got theirs. ;D. Even more baffling is that I made this Gigante post at 1am. biggrin ]

After running away from the apartment and all the squabbling that had caused her to tell off a captain, Tsukiko soon found herself standing along the edge of the coast, looking out into the ocean as its waves washed past her now bare feet. Her cloak and footwear had been dropped in the sand some dozen feet behind her, so naturally she had no head covering any longer. It was not as though this mattered at all since she was a spirit and couldn't be seen by the common eye. For the past several minutes she had simply stared out into the water, watching the ocean life beneath the surface as beach goers ran behind her, in front of her, and through her without even being noticed. Finally moving, she bent down and brought her hand to the sand for support and sat down in the sand as water continued to wash up all around her, soaking her clothes, though this was none of her concern. She quickly pulled her knees to her chest, folded her arms over them, then rested her chin on her right forearm. "Stupid jerk..." Exhaling, Tsukiko let out a sigh and watched a school of fish swimming a few hundred yards from the coast. "I hate him for being so mean to daddy... I wanted to hit him... I wonder what mommy would have done if I had..."

Shaking her head from side to side, she reminded herself that she should not be thinking like this. It was not proper, she was supposed to be grown up now. How could she possibly handle a spouse if she couldn't handle this? "I should start acting more grown up, I'm married today and I'm going to be a big sister soon, after all." For a moment she was silent, then she finally got up and walked back towards her discarded articles of clothing. Tsukiko slung the cloak over her right shoulder and picked her tabi and sandals and began to saunter off of the beach with a slight sway in her hips. Before she reached the street, she stopped at an outdoor shower and took advantage of the opportunity to wash off her clothes, which caused her to strip completely naked as she couldn't very well stand under the shower or she would have shorted out and turned off. It wasn't exactly on her agenda to do today. Once she was finished cleaning all her clothes, she replaced them and quickly took the sky, navigating the city from the rooftops, using the hard winds that blew past her body and the heat of the sun to dry off her clothes in a little under ten or fifteen minutes. Tsukiko was just nearing the area that he she initially started from- where Hibiki's apartment was- when she felt a familiar presence. "No one else should be out here... who...?" Expanding her radar, she quickly tracked the person down and was just landing on top of a nearby building when she heard the soft cries of Elisia.

Her head whipped in her direction and she quickly used a Shunpo to stop right in front of her. "I'm right here, dear." She answered softly, crouching to wipe tears from the corners of her eyes. "Please don't cry, I can't bear you being sad. It's going to be okay." She coaxed her in soft, dulcet tones as she moved her fingers towards her left ear, palming her cheek. Tsukiko fell forward onto her knees and leaned closer to her and slipped her hand to the back of Elisia's neck as her left hand went to her lower back, pulling her into a hug, one that all of her love for the girl in it as she was trying to make up for the fact that she couldn't kiss her. That was pretty painful to think about; it was going to be their wedding night and she couldn't even kiss her spouse. Now she could only curse her stupidity for not just dodging Ori's attack instead of taking it head on. Not having yet released the girl, she held on and posed a question for her. "There's nothing for us back there, not right now... I'm so sorry that our wedding was ruined, but at least let's spend tonight together alone. I want to be away from everyone else, there's no one but you tonight. Just you and I. Come on, let's go find a hotel..."

⋆⋆⋆ HAKASE xELISIA
yonbantaixTAICHO

Elisia was running a nervous hand through her hair, a familiar gesture intended to calm herself down. She really needed to somehow arrange her own mind and emotions, so that something like that wouldn’t happen again. Several times she tried to get up, but then misery set in again. Everything had gone wrong – her wedding, then the fight and as a result of that, losses of everybody. What had happened? She lost so many who were close to her, and same with everybody. Yet, why was everybody fighting? All the yelling had scared her silly and she had reacted without even thinking straight against somebody that was a good friend to her. Not only that, but she had literally told him off when she was in no position to do so. “Silly, silly, silly!” she scolded herself in whispers. Why did Hei have to go and suggest something like that? She understood that they needed to win, but to do something like that, especially to someone like Hibiki who had not wanted it. Remembering what Hibiki had said, she shuddered, fervently hoping that he would be fine, since she had left before the Hollowfication process had been finished. Perhaps she shouldn’t have deserted the others in the manner she had done and basically ran away because the confrontation had become too much for her. She was never going to be able to face her own fears if she kept on fleeing every time that something bad came up.

People passed her, not noticing her at all, since she was basically invisible as she tussled with herself and her feelings. It was only until one person approached, casting a shadow on her, that she looked up in confusion, only to see her spirit. “That’s some excellent self-pity, I must say,” Huang stated in a rather bored tone. Elisia, looking a little confused, let out a strangled noise in reply, before burying her head into her arms as she said in a blank voice, “What should I do, Huang? I can’t do anything at times like these, I barely fought in the battle and I just barely managed to keep my friends alive. Hideki nearly died because I didn’t recognize him, Nu’s missing an arm, Eriko was apparently unconscious for the battle, my sister nearly died as well and I told Tetsunosuke off. I don’t even have a clue where my wife has gone!” Huang let out a sigh, before sitting next to Elisia, whispering, “You can’t change the past, but look to the future, alright? You can’t change the way you fight overnight, but I’ll help in whatever way I can, alright?” Strangely comforted by this, Elisia nodded her head in a defeated manner, as her spirit stood up, stretching as Huang said, “Anyway, you look after yourself, or else, you’re going to cause the people around you even more harm. I’ll catch you later.”

As her spirit left, her tears turned into a steady stream of tears as she embraced everything that had happened, pushing nothing away this time. She’d need to follow what her spirit told her and stop with this self-pity. All she could do was get stronger for the moment. Despite all this that she was telling herself, the tears would simply not stop at all. At first, when she noticed the presence of another person in front of her, she thought that Huang had returned. Cocking her head to one side, she attempted to identify the girl through her blurred eyes as she blinked the tears back as best as she could. It was only when she heard the voice that she recognized her wife, slight disbelief written on her face. “Tsuki…?” her voice quavered a little as she questioned whether she was hallucinating or if it was really her wife. Being hugged was much more comforting than anything she had tried before and she felt herself melt in Tsuki’s embrace. Clutching at Tsukiko’s clothes in a fit of fear and desperation that the girl would leave, she hugged her wife back, satisfied with just this for now. Her mind was not working very quickly and as Tsukiko asked her, she merely lifted her head away from the girl, a confused expression. “A…hotel…?” she wondered aloud, before realization dawned on her. Oh, yes. Today, despite all the headaches and distractions they had had on, was her wedding day and there was always, with it, the wedding night. A strained smile appeared on her face as she remembered the wounds that her wife had sustained from Ori’s attack. Gathering her courage, she lightly touched her wife’s chassis with her finger, marvelling at the structure while attempting to hide any discomfort that she might be feeling. “Of course, Tsuki, just you and I,” she whispered, “And don’t worry about me being sad, I was just worried about you and everything. Are you feeling alright?”
