well you let me in here, didnt you? and I am one who know more about classic rock than metal.

Not necessarily. One of the mods could have. Besides, that comment was directed toward GodofPyros. :3
i see your point.

Just an offering of advice. I know it was removed, but as far as I know, they are definately nu-metal.

I added Hate Breed and removed Flyleaf, and Crossfade. They're both rock.

People, seriously, stop confusing the words "Nu" and "New". Nu is a genre describing the mixture of Metal and emo. New is just implying that the bands just came out. You can be a Nu-Metal band that broke out 8 years ago or something. Also, Nu-Metal has a distinctly more femenine or belchy-screamo style of singing.

Oh and saying Korn is Nu-Metal is like saying Faith No More is Nu-Metal. Influencers are different from members.

First of all, that couldn't be accurate because Nu-Metal came out long before Emo did. Second, Metal and Hardcore make metalcore, and Hardcore is basically short for Hardcore Emo. Nu-metal having feminine vocals? o.O; Have you ever listened to Mudvayne, there sport? o.O;

Allow me to clear this up for everyone who is confused.

Nu-Metal is not metal. The term "nu" is derived from Latin, meaning "not".

It is called this because it is so often wrongfully dubbed as metal by the mass media, who as we all know, wouldn't know metal if it bit them in the a**.

The purpose of this thread is to discuss Nu-Metal, and to show some of our un-educated members what not to post here.

I would like to furthermore elaborate this point by giving a good example. Hit Parader's Top 100 Metal Songs of All Time, and coming in at number nine is Nirvana. I rest my case.

Oh, and to note, I have officially boycotted Hit Parader... Forever.

I just might second that bc I also notice they always do that...like..put slipknot and stuff in there as well..but Nirvana is even farther away from metal thatn they are....it is so insulting. talk2hand

Just for the record about 4 of those band's shouldn't be on the list. I'm not going to mention them...i'll keep you guessing. Anyways yeah but I agree with all except those 4. You threw so many different kinds of genres in there it's rediclous...

If you have a complaint, just ask Clasion about it...he will clear it up for ya! Were you talking about the main list?
