Jouji had been watching on as Sai extended the olive branch of sorts to the strange woman, that was until Atsureki approached him, explained his injury and stretched out his arm expecting healing, Jouji glared at the lad as he responded to youth's less than polite request (he didn't even say please!).
"Oh I see, I see indeed, when I get close of my own accord you like to make a big fuss because you don't think you'll get anything from it, a sign of your immaturity for sure, but when you need healing, when you need something, you have no qualms with stuffing your appendages in my face."
Jouji glanced over the wound, from a cursory examination it seemed this wouldn't be a superficial healing, there was some damage that would be need to be reversed lest it present complications later, or at best some nasty marring of the skin. It slightly aggravated him that he would actually need to form the seal for this technique; had it been a smaller injury he would have only needed to gesture at the wound for his jutsu to take effect, but stronger techniques required actual seals. Jouji continued to glare at Atsureki as he slowly formed the seals, in no particular rush, as he listened in to the conversation between Sai and the stranger (what he could anyway). However as soon as the seals were formed his attention departed from them, and he focused on Atsureki's arm as black chakra began to ooze out from his right hand, somehow suspended around the extension, rippling every so often, the ripples seeming to take the shape of a wailing face for the briefest of seconds.
Jouji's expression soothed as he slid his hand through the air just above Atsureki's arm, the chakra flowing down onto the burned appendage, flowing over and into the burns, first easing the pain then setting to work. The black mess of chakra weaved its way through the damaged skin cells repairing and rejuvenating them, a few slivers of streams of chakra penetrating just a little deeper to affect any possible damage below the immediate area. Jouji wondered how Atsureki found the sensation.
As the last of the injured skin disappeared under the oozing black and then reappeared fresh and healed, Jouji considered his work done, his chakra flow stopping as he drew his hand away He considered making a joke about it being customary to thank the doctor with a kiss but he decided against it, aside from Zenko, Akatsuki wasn't the most humorous bunch. Hands on hips now, Jouji looked at Atsureki's arm and then Atsureki, approving of his work.
"Any other ailments or things you need checked out while your medic b**** is still feeling generous?"

Chakra: 30|| Stamina: 27|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu...Eyes still closed, Atsureki simply smirked at Jouji's less than happy response to his request. "Perhaps if you were better about keeping your hands to yourself, Handsy-San, I would be willing to approach you more often. As it stands though, I have no wish to be groped by another man", Atsureki replied, an amused tone to his voice, as he opened his eyes to cast his pale gaze on the man. Jouji had earned himself a reputation for being rather... forward when he approached other men, and whether or not the man held any interest in Atsureki, being around the man still made Atsureki less than comfortable.
As the man performed his technique, his strange black chakra oozing from his hand to engulf the length of Atsureki's arm, the young Hyuuga remained as still as possible. It was a soothing feeling, which was surprising given the grotesque nature of the man's chakra, like dipping his hand into a cool stream. As the chakra made its way deeper into Atsureki's arm, he could feel a strange tingling sensation as damaged cells were stitched back together. As Jouji's chakra receded back into his hands, Atsureki brought his arm to his chest, opening and closing his hand several times as he looked his arm over. "Impressive work, Handsy-San, I knew there was a reason Master Sai kept you around" Atsureki said after a moment, an amused smirk etching its way back onto the proud young Hyuuga's face.
At the man's question, Atsureki wondered if he should mention the woman's kick, but decided against it at the thought of Jouji having his hands anywhere near his junk. "I think that will be sufficient, Handsy-San, but I'll be sure to let you know if I require any more of your assistance", Atsureki replied in that same amused tone, before turning on his heel to watch how the woman would respond next. As he stood there, Jouji standing just a few inches away, he wondered if the man's temper would get the better of him. After all, Atsureki's words were intended to toy with the man, he wanted a response from the man, preferably one involving his fists. Still riding on the high of a battle won, Atsureki was already craving the opportunity to see how he would fare against Jouji, a man with similar chakra levels as the woman.

Holding her ground as best as she could, Haruko couldn't help but feel anxious about his response. Sure she was being cautious, but was she pushing her chances too far. The man might have seemed to have given her a safe card, but how long will it last. 'His patience from before wasn't all that great either...either way, I still need to know...' Atsureki's comment, only earned him a passing glare as Haruko found it useless to retort to him. ' Definitely a cocky b*****d.'
When the man spoke up again, Haruko found herself relieved and that he had at least chosen to answer her. 'Don't know why, but I'm getting anxious...is it the blood loss...' His words though, came as a surprise but when she took a moment to analysis it, her logical mind easily saw what the man saw. 'Like he said, I have no ties to anything and like an orphan, the easiest to use in secret operatives. The least suspected and the hardest to tie things to...' Face passive, Haruko listened on to the man's words and inwardly groaned when she learned of her loss. 'To think it was to their least experienced one too...Unique abilities or not, to have lost...argh...'
Silence took over for a few moments as Haruko processed all of the man's words, carefully searching for anything hidden within them. There wasn't much aside from the fact that she was dispensable, she was given this offer due to their overlapping goals and as far as she could tell, their organization brought much more risk than the simple assassinations she's been doing these past two years. His last offer proved her assumption when he mentioned the 'not turning back' part of the deal. This was a cause they were fighting for and if she was right, affiliating with them will make her targeted by more then just some weak armies. 'Do I really want this...yes, yes I do...these chains...I'll break them will all I have.' Taking a deep breath through her nose and exhaling, Haruko stared right at the man as if sizing him up before speaking, "Alright. I'll join. I want to see how far I can go with this goal and just how much more different affiliating myself with your organization would be." Eyes unwavering, they showed her resolve to join their cause.

Chakra: 30|| Stamina: 27|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu..."Glad to see you're as smart as I thought you were," Atsureki said glibly, a smirk etching his face. Relaxing as he stepped forward, the young Hyuga moved with a jungle cat's grace, equal parts deadly and supple. "Hold still," he commanded, emotionless, his entire focus on the tenketsu he had closed off in his earlier attack. First taking the woman's right arm, Atsureki channeled chakra into his thumbs and forefingers as he pressed his right thumb against against the inside of her elbow, his left thumb and forefinger gripping her shoulder socket. Squeezing slightly as he shot chakra into the woman's tenketsu, Atsureki returned the flow of chakra in the woman's arm to normal.
Shifting his piercing gaze to meet the woman's, a half-smile appeared on his face as his hands continued to move, unlocking the woman's Tenketsu. Usually only used in training, Atsureki of course had never had this done to himself, and Jouji had never volunteered to let him close off his tenketsu, so he had only what the scroll had said and his attempts on the training dummy to go on. All the same it seemed to be working, as he was sure the woman could easily tell. He would have to ask her what it felt like to have her chakra network stilled, and perhaps how it felt to have it restored.
Releasing the last Tenketsu, Atsureki took a single step back as he lowered his hands to his side, his sleeves falling several inches past his fingertips. "Perhaps you should ask Jouji, or Handsy-San if you prefer, to take a look at the internal injuries, I can see that you have at the very least internal bleeding," said the black-haired young Hyuuga, a smirk returning to grace his lips.... It wasn't that hard for Zenko to keep out of the way of the fight, since it didn't really move that far, or last that long. A flurry of blows, as she would describe it, were exchanged between the two before the girl ended up losing the fight. She would have killed herself by the looks of it, but Sai had been quick to step in and stop her. In all honesty, she would have cared if the girl died, but that opinion changed when she was added to the ranks of the Akatsuki. A brief smile passed over Zenko's pink lips as she strode forward, giving the girl a small nod before making her way over to Atsureki, who she promptly flicked on the nose.
"At least have a little restraint when fighting a women. It'd be a shame for one to die a marred corpse." She said, before standing and waiting for something to happen.
(( Bad post, couldn't think of anything else. This is what I get for waiting forever, but honestly, I didn't have anything to do. >_> How about we get out of this forest? ))

As the woman lifted a single finger to flick him in the noise, Atsureki's eyes went wide in surprise at the young woman's playful gesture. Lifting a hand to rub at his nose for a moment, Atsureki merely chuckled at Zenko's words. "When I'm given an order to kill, I do not hold back. When your life is on the line, giving anything less than your all is pure folly. Besides, to these eyes of mine everyone looks much the same, a body with a network of chakra for me to strike at. Well... almost everyone", Atsureki spoke in an amused tone, shooting Zenko a playful smile at the end of his statement.
Looking at the young woman, Atsureki was still amazed at the sight of her chakra, filling her to the brim, barely contained within its vessel. Though Zenko's own chakra was a tame and small thing when compared with Master Sai's, it was still enough to fill Atsureki with awe. Aside from simply looking different though, both Zenko and Sai's chakra networks were the only ones he had ever come across that he hadn't been able to close off, a unique property of their volatile chakra. But whether it was a strength or a weakness, Atsureki had not yet been unable to figure out; for while he couldn't cut off the flow of their chakra, they suffered terribly as their chakra forced their Tenketsu to reopen.
Cutting off the flow of chakra to his eyes, Atsureki's vision returned to the light spectrum and Zenko immediately became much more appealing. Taking a step forward, Atsureki leaned in close as he whispered in a playful tone, "In truth, I much prefer seeing you without the aid of my Byakugan." Leaning back, Atsureki laughed lightly before walking past Zenko and springing up to stand amongst the boughs of a nearby tree. Looking in the direction they had been heading before making their detour, Atsureki called out to Sai, "I am ready to lead the way once you are ready for us to proceed, Master."... Haruko's already failing attention was once more directed elsewhere when the male from before opened his annoying mouth once more. Holding in a groan, Haruko said nothing in response to his words and simply glared at his smirking face. 'One day...one day for sure I will wipe that sorry face of his clean of that irritating smirk...one day...' Ignoring the fact that the male actually had a trace of gracefulness admits his steps, Haruko grew curious as to his actions when he had the audacity to command her to hold still. 'Jerk.' Too tired to complain, Haruko simply stood rooted to the spot, cautious about his inevitable approach. 'Just what is he planning to-'
Thoughts cut off the moment she felt two quick jabs to her arm, Haruko couldn't help but gasp. This gasp wasn't the one most do when suffering from an attack. Instead, this one was similar to one surfacing from a long dive beneath the water. As the man opened back up her chakra flow, it was like she was finally able to breath again. To regain control over ever aspect of her body. Setting aside that the male had to jab her chest several times in order to undo whatever it was he did, Haruko was grateful. To have her chakra flowing freely around her body was the same as having blood properly flowing through her veins. She was alive again. 'This sensation...its so liberating...'
Pulled from her thoughts but the man's words, Haruko simply shook her head in response. He might have been right in his evaluation of her wounds but that did not mean she was ready to let those she just meet treat her own wounds. With her chakra flow back in tack, healing herself wouldn't be a problem anymore. It'll be a bit difficult but not impossible. "No thanks, I prefer to stick to my own medic." Her own medic indicating herself of course but that was something they will learn in a bit.
Haruko was testing out her control over her chakra system when the unbelievable attractive woman strode forward to give her a small nod before passing. Once more, Haruko found her gaze lingering on the female as she flicked the male's nose. Her reprimanding him reminded Haruko of her reasons to test her chakra flow. Snapping her gaze instantly forward, Haruko gathered chakra to her right hand and molded it into a pale lilac orb. Starting with her left shoulder so that her left arm could become more mobile, Haruko basked in the cooling sensation that possessed her entire being at contact. Her chakra slowly seeped into her skin, her muscles, and her veins and arteries, easing them of their pain.
With her left hand fully usable again, Haruko gathered chakra into her left palm as well and formed another healing orb of chakra. Crouching down, Haruko began to heal both her chest and leg wound simultaneously. Her left healing her leg and her right working on her chest injuries. Haruko was partway through healing when she heard the male speak up again about taking off. 'Master...Leading...so I was right in assuming he's the leader and I'm mostly right in how there's something unique about that boy. He probably has a doujutsu as well...' Keeping her focus on healing herself, Haruko simply waited in silence for the "leader's" decision.

Turning to look down at the woman, the meaning of her earlier words became apparent as he watched the woman begin healing her own wounds. A medical shinobi, interesting indeed. Had I not cut off the flow of her chakra, the battle might have ended very differently. I will certainly have to keep in mind that, should I fight another medical shinobi, the best course of action is an unrelenting assault, lest they manage to heal their wounds in combat, Atsureki thought to himself as he watched the woman's wounds disappear one by one, his calculating mind already formulating plans of attack for fighting other medical shinobi based on his fight with her.... "Oh? Almost everyone? I wonder who exactly that entails." She replied, casting Lance a sultry glance, accompanied by a playful smirk. Personally she had never been interested in Atsureki, as he was just a little boy with an interest in her. Not that she had ever told him that, because she enjoyed playing with him, since she knew that he wouldn't make an ill-advised move. When he mentioned preferring to look at her without byakugan active, she acted almost offended. "I would most certainly hope so. From what I know, all I would look like is a blob in human form."
Once he had leaped into the tree, turning his attentions to Sai, Zenko looked toward the new girl. Taking advantage of Sai's momentary silence, which would undoubtedly end with him having the group move out, she strode over to Haruko, flashing the girl her trademark smile. "I hope he didn't hurt you too bad, darling. He certainly takes this business much too seriously. Would have been a shame to mar your pretty skin. Surely you can forgive him for being rough?" Like usual Zenko was acting far too comfortable, acting in the usual way and treating everyone like she'd met them somewhere before.

Both a useful diplomatic tool and a useful means of getting the drop on unwary targets, Zenko was a deadly woman to be sure. She would have happily done the same or worse to me, but gaining this woman's trust is important if she is to be another weapon in Master Sai's arsenal, Atsureki thought as he turned his gaze on the Akatsuki's stoic leader, awaiting the signal for them to continue towards Konoha. The head of the Main Branch of the Hyuuga resided in Konoha, as had every other Clan head since the founding of the Five Great Shinobi Villages.What secrets might I be able to learn at the heart of my clan? Jouji rolled his eyes at Atsureki's feeble attempts at provocation; it was a wonder the youth never wondered why Sai kept him around, the boy was far too liberal with his ego and premises of his own strength. Truth be told if Jouji did attack the boy, there was a good chance he would shut down Jouji's chakra network but not necessarily before Jouji shattered his body with an augmented strike. The Hyuuga hadn't seen the full extent of Jouji's medical ninjutsu in action, he wondered how the boy would respond to his own chakra erupting in painful dissonance as he tried to use his Gentle Fist after Jouji had done no more than tapped him. Or how he would even make use of his speed with the muscles in his legs paralyzed or severed.
Jouji slipped over to the woman intending to give aid to her despite her insistence that she had her own medic but he quickly saw his services were not needed as she began to heal herself. Jouji snickered at Zenko's and Atsureki's banter, mostly at the firm grip Zenko had on the lad's fragile teenage masculinity.
"She's right you know, you have to forgive the boy for being rough, he's at that age where he just doesn't know better. Once I thought I'd be crippled for life; he took me by surprise when I was looking through his room and while he may practice the Gentle Fist but he puts everything he has into those violent thrusts of his. Gentle Fist but a Brutal Di-" lied Jouji but before he could say anymore a solitary crow let out a harsh cry and swooped down from a tree and rammed itself into Jouji's head bouncing off and landing in a fluttering mess on the ground.

I should probably do a more through healing later...' Shifting her upperbody a bit, Haruko felt a dull ache resound though her chest but other then that, the feeling of pucking out blood was gone. Even so, she would have to be careful for the next while. 'And from what I can tell, they intend to travel so I have to be cautious all the same.'
Allowing the last bits of her technique slip into her wounds, Haruko took a deep breath to relax herself after the intense self-performed first-aid. 'Its been awhile since I had to heal myself this much...I'm getting rusty...my times are slower too...' The sound of approaching footsteps awoke Haruko from her slight musing and turning her gaze to the person, saw that it was the female. The strange female with an unnatural pull. 'She's very easy on the eyes...strange how she can make me want to take the extra seconds to gaze at her...very, very, strange...' Blinking her eyes to clear her mind of those unnatural thoughts, Haruko returned the young lady's smile with a small grin of her own. Standing up as she listened to the rest of her words, Haruko froze a bit when she mentioned her 'pretty skin' but chose to simply brush that comment aside and focus on her inqury to forgive the youth for his relentless attacks. The fact that the lady was acting over familiar hadn't slipped past Haruko's attention either but seeing how they were gonna work together, she might as well get use to it. 'I should still be careful though...'
Haruko didn't have time to answer before another man piped in. He was the male that had enter part-way through her fight with Atsureki and from what she gathered, he was their medic as well.  Konaga Sai| Konaga Clan | Akatsuki | Jounin | RPC Profile | Waiting for a response from the woman patiently, he expected nothing less but acceptance. Truthfully, the woman was backed into a corner that she had no chance of escaping from. Sai was perfectly willing to let her go as he did not see her as a threat against them, but he doubted she would believe that they would not kill her even though he had eluded to it earlier. Still, few people who are given the means to make their dreams come true ever refuse, and Sai had a strong feeling this would be the case with Haruko. After some deep thought, his suspicions appeared to be correct and the newest member of the Akatsuki was born.
Sai was about to respond and get the group moving, but a sudden wave of pain flashed through his spine practically paralyzing him for a second as it spread to the rest of his body. doing his best to maintain his henge in the great pain, his disguise disappeared anyway as he was forced to look away to the side to hide the sudden surge of pain from displaying on his face. His muscles and body tensing up, he felt a strong heat run through his body adding additional agony on top of everything else as he felt his muscles worn and hurt from the sudden eruption of pain from his internal chakra. Gritting his teeth so as not to release a scream, Sai fought the pain back after a few moments, but was left feeling fatigued once again.
Luckily, the rest of the Akatsuki had been engaging with the newest member, so even if others had noticed, they wouldn't have been focusing on him which Sai was thankful for. Once the pain subsided, a slight increase in the heaviness of his breathing persisted for a few moments before he composed himself and was able to engage his Akatsuki once more. "Alright everyone... enough playing with the new member. Welcome to the Akatsuki young lady, I sure you will avail yourself to us in due time, but we have a mission to accomplish here. Jouji, I would like you and our newest member to break off from the group and travel to Sunagakure. The mission remains the same as ours, scout the village for possible Jinchuuriki and return to the base with as much information on their whereabouts, growth, and abilities as possible. I suggest you also fill in our new member on how our organization works while you're at it."
"Zenko and Atsureki, our mission remains unchanged." Imagining that those instructions would be self explanatory enough, Sai nodded to Atsureki, signaling that the young man was to lead them all out of the forest before they broke up into their individual teams and waited for everyone else to move ahead with their assigned tasks.

Chakra: 30|| Stamina: 27|| Status: Healthy || Byakugan: Inactive "The world has forgotten the evil of the Bijuu...As Sai issued his orders, Atsureki listened intently, glancing towards Jouji and Haruko as Sai explained that the two of them were to make there way to Sunagakure. Furrowing his brow in irritation, Atsureki thought to himself bitterly, I had hoped to see Haseo on this journey, to rid him of his burden... but I suppose that Sai does not wish to risk me being recognized. At Sai's signal though, Atsureki pushed aside the thoughts as he pumped chakra to his eyes, causing the veins around his eyes to bulge dramatically as his vision shifted to the chakra spectrum.
Turning on his heel as he bent his legs at the knee, Atsureki sprung forward to sail through the forest canopy. Leaping from branch to branch, Atsureki searched for any signs of life as the group made its way to the forest. Not entirely unexpectedly, however, even when he did spot one of the forests inhabitants, it quickly scurried away before the formidable group. Even the beasts of this forest are wise enough to fear us, I wonder though if the shinobi of the leaf will share their caution?, Atsureki thought with a smirk.
In less than an hour, the edge of the forest came within sight, the chakra-laced fog which pervaded the forest becoming noticeably thinner. Slowing his pace so that those behind would catch up, Atsureki would wait until he was close enough to speak to Sai before saying, "I can see the Land of Fire, we will soon reach the edge of the forest, Master."... Attention snapping forward when the 'leader' began to speak, Haruko noticed the difference in attire and immediately recognized it as another test. 'Guess they wanted to see if I really did know anything about their organization or not. From what he's wearing now, I'm assuming that what was wore before was their signature robes.' She listened carefully as he began to relay his instructions and took a moment to glance at her 'partner' before returning her gaze to Sai. 'Sunagakura eh? Its been awhile since I've made my way over the the desert...wonder how much has changed?' This 'mission' piped her interest as the man spoke of Jinchuuriki. Haruko had only heard of the word once before and it was considered an old wives tale by her late guardian. 'So that old legend's real...I mean, for them to be searching for them, they would have to be. I highly doubt I've joined a band of mental patients.'
Taking note of the other two member's names, all that was left was for her to learn of their leader's, something she would most likely gain through Jouji. He was to fill her in on basic organization stuff afterall. Surely the name of their leader would be included. 'I'm not one to follow orders but for something like this, it'll be best if I play my part. For now he seems like a reasonable man and even if he wasn't, I already agreed to join. The only exit would probably be death...'
As their leader gave Atsureki the clear to take off, Haruko noticed his eyes bulging at the sides and her speculations were confirmed. 'Dojutsu. Its has to be, I'm sure there's not technique out there that can do such a thing with the eyes.' Following his lead, Haruko began channeling chakra to the soles of her boots in order to dash up the closest tree. If she wanted to, she probably could have leaped upward but to be consider of her wounds, running up was safer. Once on a level close enough in height to Atsureki's, Haruko began jumping from tree branch to tree branch. She kept her pace moderate but would speed up whenever she was close enough to falling too far behind the group.

By focusing chakra into the soles of their feet, a shinobi can attach themselves to a hard surface, such as trees or solid walls and walk or run up them with ease. A careful balance must be struck between applying too much chakra, which would crush the surface on contact and thus make you lose your footing, and applying too little chakra causing you to fall off the surface. (This technique costs 2 chakra points to initiate, but has no retention cost) [This jutsu does not count towards an RPC's jutsu limits]
