Rave snorted in frustration. He hated the fact that he had to deal with this stuff everyday...but he left it be when Maren came into view and charged in at the figure with full force, eyes unseen from under white locks. As he came forward, his eyes looked dull.
"This is what I get for letting you train with the other Military-loids!" Rave called to him.
"...Don't underestimate me" He smiled silently as he stood, prepared for an oncoming strike from the X-series.

The X-Series apparently was a light weight, which explained the speed of the assault. Of course, the charge knocked the Military-loid onto the ground. They rolled back onto their feet, just as expected of a military-loid. The program bounced once and went straight after the recovering E-Series, ignoring Maren's presence completely. Well, they knew Maren was a threat, but objectives were objectives.
Kai was slammed once again by the assault, but at least this time he was able to fight back wit some blows of his own. However, he was forced to remain in a defensive position, he just can't top the speed the X-Series was dishing out on him.

Maren frowned and went to aid Kai, but Rave grabbed him by his shoulder. They watched for a moment and nodded as they both charged into the battle, Rave from one side and Maren from the other. They swung at the series together to aid Kai, a warning issued to lock down the school.
"What about Maren?" Mikuo whispered to Rin, "He's still out there..."

"I'm getting worried. I wonder what's keeping him so long," Rin frowned. She looked out the window, ". . . . . "

Again the X- Series was knocked back from the brothers' attacks. They laid on the ground and then rolled back onto their feet. The Military-loid was not done with the fight, no, they were far from it.
"What are your objectives?" Kai asked the X-Series as he stood his ground. The E-Series was still in a defensive status and from the looks of it, he was badly damaged from the assault.
The military-loid said nothing as they got up and back into an aggressive stance. They charged Kai again, ignoring the brothers. They pulled their fist back and then slammed it through Kai's torso. From the other side, the X-Series was holding what looked to be Kai's secondary engine core.
For the first time, Kai screamed in pain and shock of the impalement and the removal of one of his cores. He was getting several system errors as well as data static. The surge overloaded the E-Series and forced him to flat-line.
"This is my objective." The X-Series finally spoke and withdrew their arm from the broken E-Series. They held the engine core in their hand and ran off with it. A thief? What kind of thief would go out of their way to attack their target in broad daylight?

The pained scream of the E-Series echoed in the halls. Rin sat up in her chair with wide eyes. "What was that?!"

"Kai!" Rave rushed over and lifted the -loid to his lap. His heart was racing, almost as if he was fearing for his own brother. He put his forehead against Kai's, "No...nonono...KAI!" He held him close, "Maren, we need Kanas here, stat!"
"R-right!" Maren pulled out his cellphone and frowned.
To the brothers, Kai was very important. Not because he was the way he was, but if they were ever in danger, they could count on him. He covered his mouth, hoping to get an answer from him.
"Pick up...c'mon, Kanas...."

Kanas was making his rounds about the school and was checking on all of the -loids with a level head. As he entered Maiko's classroom his phone had gone off and he paused and nodded to Maiko before stepping out again.
"Kanas...Maren?" His voice picked up, a concerned now, "What is it? Kai?! Yeah, I'll be right there." He hung up and looked into the classroom, "Meiko-san, please shut this door, make sure it's locked...inform the other classes and the principal. Something has happened to the Millitaryloid, Kai."
"....Right" Meiko gave a nod silently, "Alright students, lock down"

Kai was silent, motionless. His errors were preventing him from rebooting himself. He was stuck with a flat line. . . It seemed like whatever that X-Series took form him was a rather important component to the E-Series.

"I suppose we'll just have to wait to see what Kanas says..."
"But Maren's still out there...." Mikuo whispered to Len and Rin, "What do we do?"
"Wait I guess. Kanas-san knows Maren-kun is out there. We'll find out what's going on soon I hope."

As Kanas appeared on scene, he quickly got Kai and the three brothers went home. Rave sat in his examination room trying to figure out what the x-series took. As he was trying to figure it out, he heard the door open and the dark haired, near pink eyed AIloid stood there staring at him.
"Oh, Satsujin....What's up, kid?" Rave looked up fully though Satsu could still tell he'd been crying only minutes before.
"Um....What happened to Kai-san...?"
"...Oh....Um..." He looked down and away silently, "One of his main cores was removed...Too many errors to reboot."
"...Can't you take mine?"
"....Satsujin...."
"I know what it's like to lose something close to me...If I have to give up something to bring back a special person, I will..."
"...It's not that easy Satsujin. You and Kai are two different models, He's a Military, you're an AI. It just doesn't work." A pause as Satsu looked away from him, "It's not that I don't appreciate it, Satsujin, but it just wouldn't work anyway..." He pulled the AIloid close and hugged him, "Thank you..."
Satsujin didn't know how to respond to their closeness...it felt awkward to him...It had been a long time since he'd received a hug from a human. He raised his arms and hugged back silently, listening to Rave's heartbeat.

"Yeah. . . I'm also kinda worried about Kai. I can't be the only one that heard him scream," Rin looked down, "I just hope everyone is alright."

Ayu followed in after Satsujin and looked at the E-series with gray eyes. Not exactly a time for emotions, they had to get to work or Kai might as well be stuck in a digital limbo. "Main cores? This shouldn't happen if this was just his engine core, he has a secondary one just in case. Unless that was some how damaged. However. . . ."
She walked over and took a closer scan, "He shouldn't be receiving this many errors if it was an engine." The A-Series looked at Kanas, "I believe you have a friend that is familiar with certain classes of Military-loids. . . Do you not?"

Rave frowned. It had been many months since taking this job that he'd contacted people from his past...he had to think about it for the first time in months...did he have a friend that studied Millitary-loids more frequent than himself? He let out a sigh. He couldn't think straight and with Satsu able to speak for himself, though quietly, he didn't want him worrying either. He placed his chin atop Satsu's head and thought really hard...
"I think I may..."
((Satsujin thinks that Kai is kinda cool lol he can't explain why yet, but he does))

Rave got up silently and went to look into his old phone books He'd have to call....well, he'd called her last week 'round the same time, but it had been a while since he'd seen Anubis and Victor. It was about time to give them a call. He picked up his phone and dialed his old friends number silently, then he waited for him to pick up the line. It had been almost a year and a half since he'd contacted this guy....two long and crazy years...
"Better be there, Victor...It's really important this time..."

The phone rang under the pillow, right next to his ear. There was a groan from the man as he grabbed the ever so irritating device in a vain attempt to muffle it. He finally got up and pushed his messy dark brown hair away from his eyes. The man groped around the night table for his glasses and put them on once he found them. He finally picked up the call, "You've got some nerve to be waking me up like this. What is it?"

"Geez, you sound rather grouchy...." Rave snorted, "I know it's late...and I know I've changed much since we last spoke...been about a year and a half...hasn't it, Victor? Sorry I haven't called since the whole video game thing ended...It's Rave." He waited for the response on the other end. He was hoping Victor still had his skills...

"Rave?" Victor had to jog his half-awake brain to even remember who he was. "Wait, Kanas's brother and my little's cousin boyfriend, right?" he asked. Victor rubbed his eyes behind his glasses and sat up on his bed, "What do you need?"

"One and only. But yeah....I need you to hop on a plane and come to the Vocaloid city...we have a Military-loid that needs some serious work. I'll shoot an e-mail with the damage and info on the -loid." He walked to his computer and Satsujin followed.
