Sabriel was an excellent book. I didn't like Lirael because self-pitying people vex me. The final installment was better than the second, but not as good as the first. Mogget was my favourite character because I found him hilarious and I liked how his loyalties were uncertain until the end.

I've only read the first book, mostly because i was so into another series at the time that reading Sabriel was just a side book while i waited to get the next book in the other series. I truly loved it though and do plan to read the rest of the series when i get a chance!

I enjoyed the whole series but i agree with tulips the Keys to the Kingdom are an awesome series. I have to say I really enjoy reading books by Garth Nix, he is one of my favorite authers.

I read the first three but haven't gotten to Across the Wall yet. I loved the books and couldn't put them down. Sabriel was bought for me as a present and I originally only read it because I had nothing else to read. I read it in just two days and immediately headed for the library to pick up the second and third.

The abhorsen series was amazing. those books really captured my imagination, and I've read those books too many times to count.

Across the Wall wasn't meant to be a continuation, per se, but was more of a compilation of short stories, with The Creature in the Case being the feature story. It wasn't as good, but still really enjoyable.

What I'm waiting to read is his 2 new books in the series. One's called Clariel: the Fallen Abhorsen (I think). That one is due out in the end of 2010 or so. The other, which is unnamed at this time, is due either in 2011 or 2012. I can't wait for those.

That's exciting! I've only read the first two, but I loved them (despite the fact that it was so long ago I can barely remember details). I love it when authors continue a series over such an extended period of time.

ooooo that's the first i've heard of that, EXCITING.

There were lots of things I loved about these books. I loved the names of the characters and the bells, i thought Nix was really good at that. I loved the idea of bells of weapons, the cold river of death. All his imagery was wonderful!

*SPOILER*

my favorite scene was when sabriel nonchalantly proposed to touchstone XD
