...on another note however, that's not really the way things work in Naruto. that's more a bleach concept where you can just pump out reiatsu and make a mega-strike.

Were such a thing possible, a Konaga could do it, but we don't really allow for anyone to Increase the effect or strength of a jutsu by pumping more chakra into it unless of course that sort of thing is stipulated within the jutsu itself.}}

.:. Actually Lightning Resistance only provides a very small resistance to Lightning, making minor shocks near painful. If you could make yourself near immune to Lightning using a Passive E-rank jutsu Raiton would probably be among the weakest elements if everyone aqquires the technique .:.

Shao continues to read his scroll, kind of annoyed that his students weren't doing a single thing. He reads more of the scolding breath technique.

"Hmmm...so lets try it, focus the chakra in the throat and have it build up while increasing its heat."

Shao starts to gather his chakra in the throat. It gave him a horrible feeling as if it was choaking him. A burning sensation appeared to the point where he spat out a stream of steam. The jutsu had failed. He drops to his knee and pukes a bit. He continues to read over the technique to see where he messed up.
