+Melee+ +I'll Cut You To Ribbons+ I’m here for some sort of class?” Ily questioned upon walking into the room. On one end stood several cabinets and chests that appeared to be filled with weapons of all sorts. Next to all this was a massively scratched-up desk and a woman with snow-white hair and icy crystal-blue eyes. Actually, the more she stared the more she realized her teacher’s white hair had a soft light blue sheen to it... “Yes. Melee. Ilyrosa... How’s Damon?” Ary asked, remembering the strange name vaguely and the horridly perverted man-whore of a father she happened to possess. Treachery... It suited the wrath spawn far too well in her opinion. She wondered if Ily had any idea of the meaning behind her name and the origin of it. “That is none of your business. Now, what is it you’re-” “I was wondering when you’d ask. I’ll teach whatever you want me to teach for fighting styles. From the simple to the extreme, I know almost everything there is to know on and for fighting,” Ary cut her off, eyes glittering mischievously. It was definitely going to be a fun class without, hopefully, too many injuries. Ily simply growled, disliking the woman for some reason. Probably because of how smug she seemed to be about the whole thing. Well, that smug look was going to be wiped from her face after their class and she shows off her prowess in fighting, that was for sure. “Anything. Something I can use against people I don’t like,” she replied coldly, surprised when Ary actually grinned and revealed long white fangs similar to the ones Damon liked showing off. “Really now? Finally, someone a slight idea on what they want decides to come to my class. Would you rather do a more street fighter method or a more controlled one? The latter won’t give you quite as many bruises as the first one might. It’ll be far more like how I learned where anything and everything goes,” Ary explained, glancing warily at Ily’s spiked tail. “And for both our sakes, try not to use claws or those spikes. I’m trying to teach, not be cut to ribbons.” Ily smirked at Ary’s obvious slight fear about her tail and claws. Finally someone shows a little fear in their dangerous appearance. “I’d rather go with the first, and I can try. I can’t really control my tail to use it as a weapon,” she explained, finally walking fully into the classroom instead of standing in the doorway. As the door shut, a sort of eager look came onto the teacher’s face, as if excited about what she was about to teach. “Perfect.” ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Ily darted away from Ary after an almost successful blow to her shoulder, panting heavily. It was less to evade the woman’s attack and more as a small break to calm herself down and keep her temper in check. Ary may not have looked like it but DAMN she was strong! Not as quick in her movements as she was, but she was by no means slow. When she wanted something to count or to connect, she made sure as hell it connected while accurately dodging any defense the spawn had up. Ary sighed and waited impatiently for Ily to dart back, having switched from offense to defense in attacks after sustaining several cuts accidentally from Ily’s claws. Each time blood happened to grace their noses, they paused to bandage the wounds up before continuing on in their mock fight. After the third or fourth slice into flesh, however, Ary had been forced to make small shields of ice along her arms to hopefully keep them from losing any more skin and blood. “Come on Ily, learn to watch for feints and block THOSE areas, not the ones you think they’re attacking.” Ily growled at the comment, tail lashing back and forth angrily and leaving several gashes in the wall. “I’m TRYING,” she hissed, moving closer and taking up the more defensive position again although appearing more ready to pounce than anything else. Ary sighed and shook her head wearily, throwing the same feint at the girl and connecting lightly for what had to be the tenth time. As Ily stumbled back, Ary crossed her arms to appraise her. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” she muttered, about ready to call it quits. At least, till Ily suddenly snapped and talked her to the floor with nothing more than a loud snarl as a warning. Fists flew as they wrestled and brawled on the floor, neither noticing the injuries the other sustained till the scent of blood overwhelmed them. The fight instantly stopped, both freezing in mid-strike to look at the small pool of blood that had formed. “Oh... Crap. Ily, time to get off me and call it quits and take you down to... Doctor whatever the hell his name is,” Ary muttered, paling visibly so that her skin was nearly the same color as her hair. It took the wrath spawn several moments after standing up to figure out that the blood had come from the gash in her knee her tail had created. That was HER blood trickling down her leg and onto the smooth white floors, staining her socks and shoes a deep red color. “”I don’t feel so good...” “Yeah... I’ll carry you just... Don’t vomit or pass out on me.”

~Ily's Journal~
Dear Diary,
Hello again. It’s been a while since we last talked... Er, since I last wrote. A lot has happened too. I mean... our house got shot up; Daddy was in the hospital for a while, and Nina took care of me for a while afterward. I grew too! Now I have these weird armory plate thingies on my shoulders and metal spikes on my tail along the metal boning thingy. It’s really weird but there’s not much I can do, right? Dad says it was from the whole house thing and my genetics changing me to help me survive. Eh, it’s the best I’ve got so I’m going with it.
I also got a brother too. His name’s Seth and he, too, came from that icky facility. But he’s a total opposite of me in every single way imaginable... ‘Cept for curiosity I suppose. He’s so lazy and always wanting to be carried, but he’s cute and really light so I don’t mind too much. I rarely notice him on my shoulders anyways as long as he sits still and doesn’t talk to me or mess with my hair.
Hm... Oh! Dad found this sorta nightclub for kids like me who have too much energy or don’t sleep at night. It’s really fun cause I can dance and talk and be loud without waking up or disturbing anyone. Well, if they get irritated and yell I usually punch them which shuts them up rather quickly. Finally, a use for my wrath genes. Best. Idea. Ever.
I ran into Steve again a few days ago too and... For a rainbow-tastic kid, he's actually pretty cute. Oh s**t, don't tell him I sa-Wait, you can't talk. Just... keep this between you and me, ok? Thanks. God if that leaked out to dad... I'd never be able to leave the house and Seth would TORTURE me. Urgh.

+Shedding+
“DAAAADDDYYYY!!!!” A scream tore through the early morning silence, violently awakening Damon from a previously deep slumber. Half-awake, the man fell off his bed and stumbled to his feet and out of his darkened room. There, the violent light from the bathroom down the hall flooded the hallway and hit him like a ton of bricks, blinding him temporarily.
“Daddy!” Ily wailed from the bathroom down the hall. Vaguely, Damon could hear movement from Seth’s room as the boy woke up to figure out what all the shouting was about as well. And who could remain asleep when Ilyrosa was yelling at what felt and sounded like the top of her lungs? It was insane how loud the girl could be when she wanted to be and the hybrid was pretty sure she could be even LOUDER than what she was already.
“ILY! What’s... wrong..?” Damon asked, stumbling into the bathroom and blinking rapidly. As his eyes adjusted, he saw Ilyrosa, completely distressed to the point of tears, pointing at the bathtub. Slowly, his eyes moved to the damp tub where they finally saw what she was so upset about. Right in the middle and stretched out across the entire length was a huge, half-snake snakeskin. Of course, as Seth poked his sleepy head into the room her look turned to absolute disgust. “Look! SETH!” she growled, glaring at the boy as he moved to rest in the doorway behind Damon.
“Wha?” the naga yawned widely, fangs flashing in the light before vanishing as he moved to rub his eyes. The first thing either person noticed was how much shinier and newer his tail scales looked and how much longer the boy’s fangs were. Then came the fact that he was several feet longer and taller. “Seth? You... You grew...” Damon muttered, his brain feeling like mush and refusing to work in the wee hours of the morning.
“Seth, get your nasty skin out of the damned tub so I can take a shower,” Ily snapped, appearing to be the most awake out of the trio unsurprisingly. Being diligence definitely had its perks at times. Then again, it was getting close to when the girl took her weekly nap so the fact that there was anything in the tub probably irritated her more than it usually would have. Seth stared at her for a long moment before turning his purple eyes to the tub. “Oh... Kay...” And with that, he maneuvered around Damon and Ily to grab the skin and trail off back to his room with it in hand and dragging lightly across the floor.
“You woke us up because Seth left a snakeskin in the bathtub...” Damon grumbled, pinching the bridge of his nose between two fingers. Some days, he wished Ily hadn’t been diligence with how active, and loud, she could be. Then again, there was days where he wished he had never accepted either child but what could he do now? Return them? Yeah, right. Ily would probably start a fight with him for thinking such a kid and besides, he was attached even if there were nights like this where he felt differently.
“Yes. Now I need a shower,” Ily replied curtly, gently pushing the man out and shutting the door. A moment later, water started running through the pipes as the faucet was turned on. Within moments little billows of steam poured under the door through the little crack there.
With a sigh, Damon turned to head back to bed muttering, “Ugh... Tomorrow’s going to be a nightmare.”

Journal
Journal,
A lot has happened these past few months. It's been crazy with a new addition to the family. This new addition came in the form of a naga, sloth-patience mix named Seth. He's got to be the easiest kid to keep happy, I swear, and despite being opposing DNA, Ily and him get along pretty well. At least, until he decides to shed some skin in the bathtub at two in the morning for Ily to find.
But that's another story. Before that my job finally caught up with me and some idiots decided to avenge their drug lord or king or whatever and broke into my house, shooting it up. Oi. I got shot in the shoulder, a fractured rib, and a hella lot of bruises but Ily... She wasn't the same. She took off running and ran practically two hundred miles to Nina's house through the back woods area. It's not that far via car, but she was winding and weaving through those forests which practically tripled the journey length.
Either way, she ended up exhausted, dehydrated, and starving at Nina's and spent the night there. When I found her she was a mess and far quieter, not to mention grown. Then, a day later, we got Seth who seemed to help a lot in relieving whatever horrifying memories she had although... she's still not the same as before. I found a night club for her to stay at during the night, which is great since she can be up and active throughout the night without worrying about noise. Not to mention a bunch of my old friends work there so I know she's safe. I mean, they sometimes even scare ME, which is totally uncharacteristic but either way, she's fine there.
And then Seth grew recently, leaving that whole snake-skin in the tub and... yeah. Ily has definitely got a set of lungs on her. Which reminds me, she's met a few new people. Don't ask how that reminds me of that but it does. All in all, I think she's a pretty good kid and Seth... Well, no way to tell for sure now.
And I think I hear Ily shouting about something. Guess I gotta go and see what it is before she breaks-too late.

+And Along Came Company+ Ilyrosa skipped through the halls, hoping she remembered where exactly Ary’s room was and that the woman was there. It was an unexpected visit to the melee teacher that had been planned by the wrath girl relatively last minute. She still had no idea why finding the white-haired teacher and practicing her skills sounded so intriguing, but it did. And as a person guided solely on last minute decisions, she had told Damon she’d be gone for a while as she ran out the door to the facility and nearly forgetting a jacket as she did.
Cody sighed as he stared up at the white ceiling. Aden had left a while ago for a food and smoke break and he couldn’t help but feel lonely. Boredom had been rare for him since his terrible conclusion of what had happened and thus restrained to a bed unless someone was around. Yet, the slowly returning memories left him feeling incredibly alone even when the room he was in was crowded.
The teen specifically missed a certain brown-haired spawn he had treated so terribly the last few weeks of his freedom. As he heard footsteps walking by, his blue-green eyes snapped to the open doorway. “Aden?” he called out, not recognizing the tripping footsteps. Not to mention there was only one pair and not two had they belonged to Beryl instead.
Ily paused at the voice, only a few steps away from the door that led to the hospital wing she had been in after losing her temper in her first melee class. The memory of slicing up her shin hadn’t been something she wished to remember or repeat, but the voice had intrigued her. Curiously she peeked inside and gasped at the teen restrained to the bed. “What the hell? Why are you tied up?” she asked, remaining by the doorway for a moment. He didn’t LOOK like a child of wrath, like herself, and he didn’t look dangerous either. So why was he tied up? It made no sense...
“Oh. I’m sorry. I thought you were-never mind. I’m tied up for the safety of myself and the various people I would meet upon escaping. Under, ah, better circumstances I’d probably be able to wander around. Unfortunately, Aden or my “guardians” aren’t here so I can’t,” Cody replied, blinking in surprise at the girl.
He wasn’t expecting anyone so vibrantly colored to wander by, especially someone who was obviously not gluttony or pride. Her clothes, he assumed, would glow pretty epically under black lights. Probably the reason she wore them. Or she was color blind. The teen figured he’d suffer such a fate if he stared at her clothes long enough.
Ily stared at the teen, still stunned he was tied up despite his explanation. “Uhm... You don’t look dangerous though. What’s your name? I’m Ilyrosa but you can call me Ily,” she replied upon moving farther into the room. Her surprise meeting with Ary could wait a few minutes, right? “Where is Aden anyways? Didn’t see him outside,” she added upon plopping down into a nearby chair that appeared to be unoccupied. And by appeared, since there was nobody else in the room, she figured anything was fair game save the bed Cody was currently using.
“He’s probably out getting food in the facility’s cafeteria or out on a smoke break by now or something. The name’s Cody, by the way. And have we previously met? Your name sounds familiar, but I can’t recall why... One of the many reasons I’m here too, I’m afraid,” Cody replied, shifting a bit as the girl fully entered the room and sat down in the chair Aden used. He himself had eaten earlier, which was why the doctor had gone out to lunch himself. Not to mention Beryl was beginning to chew on things far more often than either liked.
“Yeah, same. I think we were both at that Valentine’s Day ball or something. Dad got clocked by a white-haired-“
“White-haired she-devil by the name of Ary and is now the current melee teacher? Yeah, so that was your Dad? Ouch. She got him pretty good if I recall correctly.” Ily frowned and nodded slowly. “Is she-?”
“Nah. Roommate of my mom. It’s a long story but she has her own place at last. How is your dad anyways?” Cody asked randomly, groaning a minute later. “Skip that question. I forgot how long ago that ball was and most of what happened then, before, and after.”
“It’s ok. Must suck to have... whatever you have going on. It’s been a while, yeah, and he’s fine. Not sure if he’s back to going after her or not, but why do you call her-,” Ily stared, and then stopped at the dark look on his face. Her heart had to of skipped a beat or two at the sound of the dark, chilling and... insane sounding laugh that echoed around the room. And who else was it to emanate from? None other than the weird teenager restrained to a bed that had gone from being polite and nice to something that made HER want to crawl under the covers of her bed back home. HER, of all people! No wonder he was locked up here...
“The white-haired she-devil? We don’t have good history is all. She’s a b***h, I stole her stuff, we fought, end of story. Yes, I’m half greed. What’s your genetics?” Cody asked, voice shifting from something close to that of an evil genius back to what it had been before all in the blink of an eye. Yet, he managed to answer the girl’s unspoken answer seamlessly without appearing to be totally confused as to what happened. He even knew the next question she was bound to ask, but that he didn’t bother answering as well. Company was company, right?
“Wrath and diligence. You?”
“Ah, the new wrath I assume? You don’t look like the old wrath demon at all so I simply assumed. Shar, I believe that’s his name, didn’t have a tail and was only one color. Patience is my virtue and yes, the old patience. Couldn’t be part of the new one anyways,” Cody sighed, shuffling his wings a bit. Blue-green eyes wandered away from the girl and back to the ceiling, a sad look tinting his features. Thankfully Ily didn’t speak for a while, sensing his discomfort at the topic and for once, the teen was glad he wasn’t being pushed for answers on topics he didn’t want to discuss. Unfortunately, she chose to spin around at what had to be light speed in the chair instead to preoccupy herself.
“Could you stop that please? You’re making me a bit ill,” Cody asked, indeed looking a little greener than before. As Ily stopped, however, the look gradually vanished. “Nice necklace. Must have cost a fortune,” he added, eyes glued to where the jewelry was hidden. And how could he not notice? The thing had a glow the size of the sun!
“How? Wha?”
“I can see objects of value based on the aura they give off. Your clothes at first blinded me to its existence. Right now, however, it looks like you’re trying to hide a searchlight under your shirt. I assume it’s a larger gem of sorts, though not a diamond but still semi-precious. Yes?” he asked with a greedy smirk. Instantly Ily’s hand grasped the necklace, scowling darkly.
“Yes. And you so much as touch it I’ll gnaw off your arm. T’was a gift from a friend.”
“Only a friend? You sure? Things like that don’t come from the dollar store yanno. Besides, I’m tied to a bed and can’t exactly steal it, much less sit upright. Hell, I couldn’t escape even if I wanted too, though that’s mostly because Ary would-“
“Speaking of Ary, she here?”
“Yes. Why?”
“Just curious. What’s it like living with her anyways?”
“Terrible. She wakes you up at dawn for the hell of it. Has a short fuse too, especially during summer. Oh, and snowball fights are a must during winter. Trust me, she’d be perfect as a military sergeant. Though I’m sure she’d be kicked out for unnecessary use of violence,” Cody replied with a soft sigh, glaring at nothing in particular.
“Really? Huh. Here I was expecting just a bad temper or something. Well I should go...” Ily commented, rising to her feet. “Say, do you know the skills teacher here? Uhm... Fifth Avenue?”
“Yeah. Taught me how to fly when I was younger I believe. Why?”
“Curiosity. See ya Cody.”
“Bye Ily.” The teen watched her leave, sighing. Sure the fact that his retinas were no longer screaming in pain, the conversation had been nice. Oh well, guess he’d have to wait till Beryl returned or something... {Words = 1,470}
