Leefox curled up into Kikifox, resting her head on Kikifox's shoulder, perfectly happy to just spend forever and ever and ever not moving ever again, and just staying right there.
"Let's let them be alone," Sigal whispered to her new daughter-in-law, Thea, discreetly making her way out of the clearing.

Chuckling softly, Thea nodded her agreement and stood, well-practiced at moving silently. She joined Sigal, her Elder's daughter and now her sister's mother-in-law...huh. Her mother-in-law too. Did that make Ari her grandfather-in-law?
How...bizarre. Shaking her head to clear it, Thea kept pace with Sigal until they were well out of the way of the new couple.
[Timeskip]
Several hours later, the pair still hadn't moved--and Ricky would've been okay with still not moving, except her tummy kept rumbling, which meant she was hungry.
She mumbled, half-asleep from the warmth and comfort as happy as she was, "Wanna find somethin' t'eat?"

"Yeah." Leefox stretched, not used to staying still for so long. It was...kind of nice, actually, to just be still and be happy and not have to do anything.
"Oh! And then! And then we can go tell Granddaddy Ari that we're mates now!" Leefox practically squeed. "And Uncle Kavi and Aunt Aysu. If we can find them..."
She knew from Pink Mommy and Grandaddy Ari that her aunt and uncle weren't around the tribe a lot, so maybe they couldn't find them. But...
"But if we can't, then we can go look for them next time and tell them then!" Leefox decided.

Ricky nodded emphatically, smiling brightly up at her. "Yea! But food first, I'm staaarving," Ricky giggled, stretching too before she too stood.
Soon, they had both eaten their fill, and they were walking through the lands of Lunarie, looking for their Grandpa Ari, so they could tell him the awesomest awesomest news everrrrr!
Just a few moments later, Ricky spotted him and whispered excitedly to Leefox, "There he is!"

Not understanding why Kikifox was whispering, Leefox ran up to her grandfather and nearly pounced him. "Grandaddy Ari Grandaddy Ari Grandaddy Ari guess what!"
Ari had heard Lee coming and so had braced himself for her pounce. It was nice to have young ones around again, he thought. Which was promptly followed by I feel old.
"What?" he asked, eager to hear what could have his granddaughter so excited.
"No, you gotta guess what, you can't just ask what!" Leefox scolded, having little (well, actually, no) regard that Granddaddy Ari was an elder and thus outranked her quite a lot. That didn't count. 'Cause he was family. Duh.

"Yea, yea, you gotta guess, Granddaddy Ari!" Ricky echoed, showing just a smidge more restrain than her new mate (!!!!), 'cause she didn't really know her new granddaddy yet--at least not well enough to pounce him...
...But she didn't want to be left out of the pouncehug! Giggling, she joined Leefox in the pounce and grinned widely at him.
"Guess, guess!"

"You found a waterfall."
"What? Nooooo. Grandaddy Ari, you're silly!" Leefox giggled, rolling off Grandaddy Ari's back, and onto Kikifox.
"It's what your mother always used to do."
"Do what?" Leefox asked with interest, turning just a bit to meet Grandaddy Ari's eyes.
"When she was little, she would always go exploring the tribe lands. And whenever she found something interesting, she'd make me guess what. The waterfall was her favorite thing she found..."

Ricky giggled too as Leefox fell on her, squirming only slightly so that her tummy wasn't being poked at.
"There's a waterfall?" Ricky asked, unable to contain her curiosity--she was so distracted that she momentarily forget about the real awesome news. "Where! I wanna explore--Leefoxy, can we explore sometime? We could take Pink Mommy and Blue Mommy 'cause I have to meet her and it would be so much fun! Ooh, Granddaddy Ari, you wanna come too?"
Ricky grinned widely up at him, her tail hitting the ground lightly in excitement.

"Yeah. We should go right now--but just to look, so we can know where it is and then tell Pink Mommy and Blue Mommy all about it and show them the way!" Yes, Leefox had indeed managed to forget that Pink Mommy was the one who first found the waterfall--something about Pink Mommy and young just didn't go together, so to Leefox's mind, that had happened to some other fox.
"Weren't you going to tell me the news?" Ari asked, somewhat amused, somewhat nostalgic. Lee was really just like her mother, at that age...

Ricky blinked, then giggled. "Oh yea! Right! You were gonna guess, not us tell you, silly!" Granddaddy Ari was so silly sometimes! "I bet you're neeeevereverevereverever gonna guess ever, 'cause it's so awesome! Nobody would be able to guess!" Ricky looked up and shared a giggle with Lee, then snuggled back against her and rested her head against her brand new bestest mate everest.
Gosh she was just so darn happy!

Ari looked at the two girls cuddling together, and thought he had a pretty good idea of what they wanted him to guess. But he was enjoying himself too much playing this game with his granddaughter and new granddaughter-in-law to put an end to it just yet.
"You found a really shiny rock."
"Na-uuuuuuuh," Leefox giggled, burying her face into Kikifox's fur with mirth.

Ricky giggled at his guess and at Leefox's reaction, fwishing her tail again. "Nooo!" She chorused with Leefox, amazed that Graddaddy Ari could be so silly.
"Whatcha think, Leefoxy, should we give Granddaddy a hint?" Kikifox whispered to her, giggling against her neck.

"A really liiiiiiiiiittle hint," Leefox giggled back. "But first you gotta guess again, Granddady Ari!" It was kinda fun dragging this out, making Grandaddy Ari keep guessing. And it was kinda interesting to hear the things he came up with, too. Leefox wanted to see a really shiny rock! Maybe she could make Grandaddy Ari show her one later!
"Did you find...a pretty flower?"

Ricky dissolved into giggled again, but when she managed to regain control she said, "No! Ummm...what should we use as a hint, Leefox?" Ricky faltered then, looking down at her bestest best friend everest. "I dunno any really little hints..."
Ricky caught herself, then looked up at Granddaddy Ari. "Shh! Don't listen while we think of your hint!" Ricky ordered, frowning very seriously at him. "It would ruin it! Turn off your ears," she insisted, giving him a hard look until she believed he complied.

"They won't turn off," Ari teased. "Now what?"
"Uuuuuuuum. Kikfox, Grandaddy Ari can't turn off his ears. We have to help this, 'cause it's baaaaaad he can't turn of his ears and maybe there's something wrong with him and then that would be really really really bad!"
