NAME : Ian Taylor Flynn.
GENDER : Male.
AGE : Thirty-one.
OCCUPATION : Self-employed Florist.
RACE : Human (Caucasian).
LIKES : Design, color, flowers, music, animals, reading, and sleeping in late.
DISLIKES : Crowds, severe weather, bad smells, disorder, and complete darkness and/or silence.
LOOKS : Ian is fairly average in his build, standing at around 5'10" with fairly broad shoulders and long limbs. His skin is pale but not sickly, with a very slight sprinkle of freckles across his cheeks and shoulders. He spends an average amount of time outside, but doesn't seem to tan unless he’s burned. His hair is a light auburn, more of a caramel brown with a red hue when in direct sunlight, and his eyes are a light hazel color that leans more toward green than gold. He can usually be found smiling, and his hair usually boyishly messy.

PERSONALITY : Ian's feelings dictate almost everything he does. Their accuracy can vary, but he trusts them just as much as a doctor would trust his instruments. Because of how sense-focused he is, Ian is heavily influenced by and aware of things and people around him, about how they play into his senses.

He also has a strong set of moral values that he strives to meet at all times, but they may not always be in accordance with society's rules. No, his own moral compass is incredibly personal; he judges things by how he feels about them, not necessarily by how "right" or "wrong" they are. However, Ian's goals are not usually material-based. Yes, he wanted to open his own flower shop and make a name for himself, but not simply because he wanted to make money. His goals and ambitions are value-oriented.

Underneath a friendly exterior, Ian is a very emotional person. However, he can be difficult to get to know because of the firm walls he keeps around himself. Sure, he is pleasant and personable when conducting business, and he enjoys being around others, but if you want to get closer, you'll have to work at it. But it is not difficult to see that Ian is kind and gentle. He is a loyal friend, and will not hesitate to step in and help another person or attempt to make things better. Ian is an artist at heart, sensitive and friendly and highly in tune with his world.

HISTORY : Ian grew up in your average two-parent, two-child home in the suburbs of Barton Town with two dogs and two cats. His father was a IT manager at the insurance company his mother worked for, and the two met when he had to fix a computer that she mistakenly infected with a virus. It was the storybook “love at first sight” scenario, and the two married around one and a half years later. They bought a modest two-story home in the Barton suburbs with room to grow, and Ian came along not long afterward. He was cherished and loved, nearly spoiled when he was little, but soon began to learn to work for what he wanted. He was always artistic, drawing on anything he could and exhibiting a love of color and playing outside. His younger sister Caroline came along when Ian was seven, but she proved to be much more serious than her older brother.

Soon enough Ian was done with high school and going off to college, majoring in botany and business. He’d discovered a love of flowers and things a few years ago, after years of accompanying his father to buy flowers for his mother. He got through school with an average GPA and a decent amount of loan debt, but nothing serious. He now owns a small shop underneath a modest two-bedroom apartment in downtown Barton, and couldn't be happier.

Sister
NAME : Caroline Flynn.
GENDER : Female.
AGE : Twenty-four.
OCCUPATION : Student. She's currently working on a Master's degree in English, and also works part-time as a graduate teaching assistant. She hopes to become an accomplished professor and writer, specializing in fiction writing.
LOOKS : Caroline inherited the same red hair that Ian did, albeit in a much brighter shade. Offset by her pale, freckled skin and bright blue eyes, the long fire-red strands make quite the statement. She is fit and slender at a height of 5' 5" with long legs and a relaxed, easygoing gait that can sometimes come off as unnecessarily carefree.

PERSONALITY : Though she was serious as a young child, Caroline has loosened up considerably as she aged. She is still dedicated when it comes to work and her schooling, but is often the one to suggest new and fun outings or activities. She's friendly and engaging, with a bright smile and wide, expressive eyes that give her a somewhat innocent air. But don't think you can just brush her off; Caroline is headstrong and determined, and will be heard if she wants to be.

She is outgoing and enjoys spending time with others, regardless of the activity. She still prefers more relaxed hobbies to overly physical ones, such as reading or drawing or photography.

Mentalities
NOTE: Reasoning and detail into each of these personality traits can be accessed if need be. This is here because I cannot explain each individual thing within 250 words! In a real profile, I will expand on each thing individually.

Alignment: Chaotic Good
Traits: Kind | Compassionate | Peace-Maker | Workaholic | Outgoing | Determined | Positive | Active Listener | Advocate for Peace and Equality | Hopeless Romantic | Fickle | Passionate | Thrill-Seeker | Bluntly Honest
Personality: Mel has always been determined. Whenever she puts her mind to something, it gets done. The woman is a workaholic and she knows it. She takes her job very seriously, yet does appreciate a good time with her family whenever possible. Mel is, overall, a complete optimist and she has infectious energy. She makes friends easily because she is charismatic and dependable. She is also an advocate for peace and equality and oftentimes expresses this through her work as a journalist. Growing up with the many elderly tutors instead of friends her own age, Mel has adapted a very wise perception on life. One of Melanie's more prominent flaws is her stubbornness. It is extremely hard for her to accept opposing opinions. She can be quite resolute about certain subjects and will fight for their cause. Her stubborn ways have actually caused some problems throughout her life such as: family drama, lost love, and even the loss of glowing career opportunities. Being spoiled as a child caused her to have expensive taste as an adult, which she is very outspoken about. She longs to settle down with a family of her own one day, making her quite the hopeless romantic. Where children are concerned, she takes a very nurturing role with them and isn't afraid to spoil them just as she was.
Likes: Journalism | Creative Writing | Most Animals | Water | Risks
Dislikes: Right-Wing Conservatives | Spiders | Snakes | Insects | Deserts or Dry Areas

History
NOTE: I am not a professional writer in the least, but Mel is. Please do not be angry for any grammatical or spelling errors that may occur on my end, thank you.

Melanie was born into a very well off family. Two doting parents and an older brother and sister. Melanie wanted for nothing and was given most anything she desired. Being the youngest, she was babied and spoiled throughout her childhood, causing strain between her and her sister, who scrutinized her on a regular basis. This disapproval just fueled Melanie's determination to succeed in life.

A rather sheltered child, Melanie was sent to private tutors. She hated the loneliness and lack of friends that ensued but Mel found writing to be an outlet for these emotions and used it to imagine many worlds of fantasy. Writing was her passion from a young age and she continued to perfect her craft as she grew.

At eighteen, she attended a small private college in Barton Town. It was there that Mel had obtained a degree in journalism. She worked her hardest to find any story she could in order to build a resume. Mel also wrote her own blogs which, because of her opinionated outlook, received mixed reviews. The GNN noticed her blogs and decided to bring her on as a journalist. To keep the paper from experiencing negative backlash due to the popularity of her controversial blogs, she began writing under the pseudonym "Blake Bellerose" and moved to Durem from her family's hometown of Barton.

NAME : Yves Mathieu Lécuyer
GENDER : Male
AGE : 24
OCCUPATION : Vice-president (or considered the equivalent of) at Lécuyer Instrumental, a widely-known music store dealing in the production and sale of very expensive, very high-quality instruments. Works under his father.
RACE : Human
LIKES : Art, wildlife, music (his tastes are actually fairly broad), exploring the outdoors (although he loathes getting his clothing dirty!), good food, coffee, tea, sweet things.
DISLIKES : Pushy people, getting dirty, large crowds, Nutella (he doesn't care how "good" it is, it's not natural).

LOOKS : Yves appears younger than he actually is, and this is a great plague on his life. When one is dressed in a full suit and trying to look smart, being offered lollipops can be quite grating on the nerves. A sheltered, pampered life and having asthma as a child has contributed to Yves' lack of any real muscle definition. Pale complexion, tousled hair, and large eyes do not help his case.

In a nutshell, he looks like a pretty tall kid, and he hates it. He is often seen frowning or looking uncomfortable, whatever... you know, suits the mood.

Images: [x]

PERSONALITY : Yves is, for lack of a better word, naive. He is solitary and wary of others, because he doesn't know any better. Shy and somewhat awkward, he manages to get by and hide this when dealing with customers, as is part of his training. He is skilled in persuasion, but he tends to come off as aloof, lacking the jolly warmth many people like to see.

He is polite, if not a bit guarded. Words mean a lot to him, and so he chooses his carefully, which may lead one to think he doesn't want to contribute to the conversation when he is only trying to decide the best way to word something. Yves doesn't like hurting others' feelings, and while he may seem bristly and uninterested, he's just... well, awkward.

Once he opens up, Yves can prove to be quite a zealous person. He often pushes himself farther than his body may like, and ends up exhausting himself sometimes. He enjoys challenging himself and learning new things, but he is also careful, always holding himself back, in a way. When Yves makes a friend, he will love them fiercely, even if he doesn't always express it in the proper way.

HISTORY : Born to two wealthy parents, Yves has lived a life of privilege, although it has always lacked the sort of warmth one would expect from a family. As a child, Yves was plagued with asthma which, paired with his frail body, made it very hard for the boy to get outside and make a lot of friends. A good deal of his childhood was spent indoors, reading or drawing or learning how to play instruments. Dolls and books replaced much of the human contact he desired, creating a very curious, but somewhat reclusive, young man.

As he grew older, Yves' asthma became much more manageable, until the use of an inhaler was no longer needed. He began to gain more strength, and with it the urge to explore the vast property of his parents' estate. His parents owned many exotic animals, having imported them from all over the world. He gained his parents' love for wildlife, and became extremely curious to the point of frequently visiting - and sometimes sketching - the animals they owned. He found it easier to interact with them than people, although he still maintained his distance between them, always guarding his heart and his body.

Having been born into opportunity, Yves was able to move out and secure his own home at a young age. He lives near his parents, but certainly not too close.

NAME : Claire Renee Holmes (née Wainwright)
GENDER : Female
AGE : 30
OCCUPATION : Legal assistant
RACE : Human
LIKES : Reading, a hot drink, ice cream, gardening, rainy days, romantic comedies, the smell of fresh mowed grass, craft fairs, walks in the forest, kitschy collectibles, sales
DISLIKES : The aftertaste of milk, high-stress environments, morbid thoughts or images, the color puce, her slightly crooked teeth, people who tailgate when you're driving, an unsatisfying conclusion to a book or movie
LOOKS : Claire is tall and willowy, standing at 5'10", with an oval-shaped face sitting atop a long neck. Her complexion is pale ("ghastly pale" as she calls it), with a tendency to burn in the sun rather than tan. Her dirty blonde hair is parted neatly down the middle, resting at her lower back when down although she usually keeps it tied in a top-knot or bun while at work, and her eyes are a light blue-gray, looking a little too large for her face. Clothing-wise, she dresses sharp and professionally for work, with blouses, heels, and pencil skirts, while her off-duty clothing runs the gamut of lazy and youthful (jeans and a cozy t-shirt) to casual but classy (loose flowing tunic tops, leggings, flats, accessorized by jewelry).

PERSONALITY : Claire is kind to a fault and a bit of a bleeding heart, always ready to give someone a shoulder to cry on or the benefit of a doubt. This was a crippling weakness when she was younger because her feelings often got taken advantage of, but since then she has wised up and is less of a pushover, even if she prefers to be agreeable. She can be seen as almost "aggressively caring," as she always reaches out to those she cares about with a phone call, an invitation to shopping or dinner, or just to grab a coffee, but if the other party is firmly resistant she will back off and wait (if not somewhat anxiously) until they are ready. In her own fits of despair and anxiety, she becomes reclusive herself and is prone to crying fits, sometimes going as far as to cry on the phone to someone when she feels "needy" (or what she calls as much), but luckily her husband or mother come to the rescue and guide her gently out of her sadness.

At her best though, Claire is a positive, sunny influence without being too much so, and prides herself on being grounded and approachable. She is intelligent and she enjoys engaging in conversation on both friendly and debating levels, although she tries not to be too overbearing about it. She has a deep love of nature, instilled in her from her mother and her own travel experiences, and she finds nothing more relaxing than spending an afternoon with her nose in a book or arm-deep in her garden. She is also especially fond of animals, and her mother's borzoi Misha is a constant house guest.

HISTORY : Born to a mother in the Peace Corps instilled a love of travel and seeing the world in young Claire, and the books she loved filled in the rest of the gaps. By the time her mother retired from her work, Claire was in high school and had taken an interest in a study abroad program, which took her to Russia for a year and left a lasting impression. During the trip, she met a young man from another part of Gaia named Aaron Holmes, and the two became fast friends. She met with him many times over the next few years, and both attended Durem University following community college (Claire in English, Aaron in Business Management). They began dating in Claire's junior year, and shortly after her graduating and acceptance into law school, Aaron proposed.

She finished her paralegal studies and found a job with Royce & Harris in downtown Durem, which provided a lot of stress but brought in decent enough money for the two to rent a nice apartment, and they married that fall. The urge to expand the family struck, but their attempts were unsuccessful. A doctor's appointment following two miscarriages revealed she had a septate uterus, and Claire was emotionally devastated. However, with time and love from her husband most of the emotional wound healed. Her mother called from Gambino and suggested moving closer and starting fresh. Claire discussed the option with Aaron and the two packed up and headed to Gambino. They found a spacious house near Ivy for the price of the place they rented in Durem, and Claire moved into a smaller law firm where she feels considerably less stress.

NAME : Leigh Brighton
GENDER : Female
AGE : 34
OCCUPATION : Manager at a local novelty shoppe
RACE : Human
LIKES : Wine, travel, children's literature, literature in general, campy television series, little collectables, writing, watercolour, soft things, making bets
DISLIKES : stiff clothing, sweating, making first impressions, loud music or sounds, hard alcohol, being on a schedule, the heat
LOOKS : Leigh stands at an average 5'5" with a slim build. Her hair is cropped short, a dark espresso in colour, and is generally adorned in two gold hairclips. Her eyes are a deep honey, and a beauty mark sits atop her fair skin beneath her right eye. Generally she is known to wear oversized dress shirts and blouses, usually paired with jeans or jeggings and some flats or oxford shoes.
PERSONALITY : Leigh is a friendly person, though often uncensored in her thoughts or actions. This makes her seem outgoing, especially since she is so comfortable and confident around those she knows well, but in the situation of meeting strangers she is actually quite nervous. As much as she enjoys company, it is rather hard for her to make the initiative to seek it out. She is not particularly hard-working, and prefers to relax and do things on her own time as opposed to buckling down. Leigh is dedicated to her hobbies, and can often be very excitable about things pertaining to her interests. Though she doesn't feel entirely equip with the ability to care for and provide for others, she puts forward her best efforts and often feels rather maternal toward those she loves.
She is a rather happy person, aside from the occasional anxiety and feelings of self-consciousness, which she usually refuses to dwell on, though that often leads to ignoring them and allowing them to build up.

HISTORY : Leigh grew up in a small valley town in the heart of Northern California's wine country. Her father raised her on his own in a large home that he also maintained as a bed and breakfast. Leigh was born as a product of a one-night-stand, and so her mother stayed mostly out of the picture, though sometimes kept in touch via letters or small birthday gifts. Mr. Brighton was an older man, and a rather cheerful person who took much pride in his daughter and wasted no time showering her in love. Leigh was surrounded by fantasy much of her childhood do to her father's previous job as a children's author, and so acceded into adulthood with a somewhat whimsical expectation of the world.
After her father died of the results of a stroke in his older age, Leigh was left without any family to rely on and a less optimistic look on life. Feeling less than capable of keeping up the b&b and looking for a fresh start, she decided to sell the house and move out of country. Leigh had always dreamed of traveling, and starting off somewhere new felt like the best way to get off on a new foot. Thus, she chose Gaia as a good place to start hr new home, and has since been making her best efforts to mature and live independently.

User ImageNAME : Gwendolyn Jones
GENDER : Female
AGE : 25
OCCUPATION : Practical witch
RACE : Human, though family lore says their magic comes from a very long distant ancestor who was an angel. Gwendolyn isn't totally sure she buys that, but supposes that on Gaia, that sort of thing is common enough anyway.
LIKES : Antiquing, beekeeping, the sound of sharp scissors cutting through paper, cooking, sewing, strong and bitter beverages, big sweaters, cats, children, so long as they are very clean, very cheesy period dramas, and waking up early.
DISLIKES : Slimy things, alcohol, customers who don't follow the instructions on the label, slow email correspondents, taking out the trash, loud animals, driving or riding in automobiles, and finger food.
LOOKS : A sensible woman who dresses primly in floral skirts, clean blouses and, considering her line of work, sturdy boots and somewhat aged aprons. Gwendolyn is tall, neither skinny nor stocky, has long black hair which is always tied back, pale skin, bright blue eyes, a young face, and an old frown. Gwendolyn keeps herself neat and tidy, and always smells very slightly of flowers, but her hands are somewhat weathered and callused, and there are several very old scars on her palms and fingers.

PERSONALITY : Gwendolyn is quiet and tends to be withdrawn in social situations, but in business she is efficient and communicative. She takes her craft very seriously, always looking to improve herself through study, and refusing to romanticize magic in any way. She hates talking about magic to laypeople, even if she enjoys their company, and tends to be a bit pretentious about her career in a sort of clannish and academic way, although her services are never expensive, and never showy.

Gwendolyn actively likes very few people, showing affection very discreetly if at all, and involving herself in romantic attachments never. She does have a great deal of patience, however, which makes her popular with local children, who come to her for help with all the little problems that their parents might otherwise ground them for. She also likes cats, and, shamefully, nothing will make her laugh more easily than a funny cat picture. She owns one cat, Giacomo, or Jack for short, but the neighborhood regards him as a nuisance. However, Gwendolyn's patience comes perhaps inevitably with a great deal of empathy, and she tends to adopt terrible things like Giacomo frequently. She is often the first to point out how awful they are, but it's a roundabout way of showing attachment for her. She has a dry wit, but is generally good-humored, even if she is a tad too serious.

HISTORY : Born the only child of an old family of witches in Barton, Gwendolyn was raised to take over the business, which involves making small practical charms, cures, potions, and spells for local clientele. The magic is largely domestic, using copious amounts of honey, feathers, ribbons, fabric, needles, and thread. Gwendolyn went to university in Durem to study higher forms of magic as well, and studies it privately now, but her interest in it is largely academic, as the moral implications of using grandiose magic tend to be too tangled for her to desire to deal with.

Gwendolyn is also a collector of magical paraphernalia, and frequently wanders the markets in Barton and Durem, occasionally coming across a useful addition to her collection, or sometimes just buying a magical item that she feels quite sorry for. (For instance, her magic mirror, which is quite useless for magic, as it contains only the spirit of one very peevish butler). While most of her collection goes unused, she enjoys having it, and more importantly, feels concerned that especially powerful magical items should fall into the right hands (i.e. hands that will never ever lift themselves to use said items). While she is interested in the theory of powerful magic, her studies have also made her acutely concerned that it not be abused, and this is the one way she feels she might safely deter it.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.NAME : Difni De' Costa
RACE : Dark Elf
GENDER : Female
AGE : 200 years young
OCCUPATION : Librarian and part-time information dealer for less reputable agencies.

LIKES :
      • Books // Collecting knowledge // Well tailored suits // Hot coffee // Dark and quiet nights // Afternoon rain // Excessively fluffy or over-sized plushes

DISLIKES :
      • Excessive heat // People who break the spines of books // Poorly written romance novels // Torn stockings // Sandals // Broken contracts

APPEARANCE :
Her personality makes her appear taller than she actually is, as do her killer pumps. Difni grew up in a world where your appearance said worlds about you, you want to be taken seriously, you dress that way. Custom tailored waist coats and shoes with heels so sharp they double as carried weapons. While she only measures in at a measly 5'5" out of her shoes, with such an imposing appearance and first impression you'd think she were six feet tall. Her skin is the same as any other dark elf, a dark shade of purple-gray, smooth and ageless. Her hair is stark white and long enough to reach nearly to the backs of her knees, not that you'd ever know with how well she packs it up in clips and pins into tightly braided buns.

While she wouldn't be caught dead in public without at least a Windsor knotted tie, at home, in her hoard of stuffed animals and mountains of books, she's far more casual, lounging in shorts and over-sized sweaters.

PERSONALITY :
Difni is an intimidating person upon first inspection. She's every bit the put together dark elf, everything that the normal person would expect when conjuring up the imagine of a mafia hit woman. And while she sort of is, she is actually quite approachable. She enjoys meeting new people and figuring out what they're all about. Everyone is a unique and fascinating little puzzle for her to discover and piece together. And while she's dressed like a high class business woman, that doesn't mean she can't have a good time. On the contrary, she's very likely to drink you under the table. Her temper is legendary and she's the thing of nightmares for anyone who dares to damage her books or her library. She has been known to bodily throw a few people straight out of the building for breaking the rules.

Under all this noise and carefully crafted outward appearances is a soft center. She's kind and she's a secret hoarder of oversized and excessively fluffy plush animals. She's naturally one to help a friend and isn't afraid to use her underworld contacts to do so.

HISTORY :
Growing up in the seedy underbelly that is the Dark Elf community makes a girl grow up quick. You learn to twist things in your favor and you do it quick. Difni excelled at information gathering in all forms and quickly made a career out of it, finding work easily in the shadows of Gaia. Most of her work came from, less than reputable sources, but a girl takes money where she can find it.

      And money she had.

Eventually life grew stale and she found herself tired of living in the dark, all she really wanted was knowledge, as much as she could hold. So she used her money and bought her way out into the light. She found work as a librarian, working her way up once again to the head of her Durem library simply out of habit. Climbing corporate ladders is a hard habit to break. But she settled in, found herself content with the constant stream of knowledge from books and new faces. But really, how long can a woman so hungry for knowledge keep herself out of the game she'd attempted to conquer?

NAME : Aindreas Byrne
GENDER : Male
AGE : 34
OCCUPATION : Police detective
RACE : Human; Irish, mostly.
LIKES : A rewarding day at work, showers (whether hot or cold), the good kinds of coffee, being active.
DISLIKES : Bad coffee, a day where he goes home feeling like he managed to accomplish nothing, otherwise wasting time, sleeping in.
LOOKS : Aindreas is a tall man, at about 6'2. He isn't exactly built or overly muscled, though he's got a sort of lean and sinous muscle from years on the police force. He has dark red hair that looks brown in most lights, along with green/hazel eyes. He rarely grows a beard due to not liking the way it looks on him; he feels that his jaw line doesn't stand out enough. His usual attire is a button down shirt (occasionally with an atrocious pattern), slacks or jeans, and loafers, a wardrobe he picked up from years on the job.

PERSONALITY : Aindreas tends to be a fairly warm guy; he always has something good to say about others and tries his best not to be a downer no matter what he happened to see at work that day. However, as is common in long time cops, Ain frequently battles darkness in his heart. He's seen how disgusting the world can be and what depths people will go to, and he'd be a liar if he said it didn't kill a part of him or if he said sometimes it still doesn't surprise him to see such depravity. Having no one at home to console him, Aindreas sometimes goes through periods of depression, though he doesn't let anyone see this.

As said, Aindreas is fairly friendly - because of this, he tries to hide his darkness for others and will disguise a frown or downer comment with a smile or a joke and is incapable of admitting that sometimes he needs help, especially because he fears forced leave from work.

Though Drey tends to be very laid back, his cop-mode can be switched as necessary and he will exert as much force as necessary to control the situation.

In his free time, he tries to take advantage of every moment, wanting to live life to the fullest. He hates wasting time and being inactive, so most of his hobbies outside of work involve playing sports. He's particularly fond of and good at tennis, though he feels that doesn't sound very manly.

HISTORY : Aindreas' family is average, his mother and father together, along with his fraternal twin brother Eirnin. Like most little boys, Drey had the desire to be a superhero or a police officer (whichever came first), wanting to be famous... and to protect people, though the latter was probably less important than the former. He was fairly intelligent (though Eirnin was smarter) and was capable of dedicating himself to his schoolwork, which led to him being accepted to college fairly easily and with a fair amount of money in scholarships. However, unlike most boys who aspire to be a policeman, Drey truly went for it. His degree in college was for criminal justice and he spent his college years working with police and fire departments, wanting the experience it gave.

When he graduated, he found a job in the police department fairly easily due to the qualities and relationships he'd established and spent several years working his a** off in order to save up money to afford an average sized apartment on his own - and this hard work, though it was meant to save money, ended up getting him promoted to detective much faster than he might have otherwise, a position he's lingered in for years.

He lives alone, still, with no significant other. Aindreas is frequently alone, though he and Eirnin are still close and see each other as frequently as their professions will allow. However, because he's alone, his apartment is frequently in a state of utter disarray.

NAME : Alexis “Phoenix” Argyris
GENDER : Male
AGE : Twenty-seven
OCCUPATION : Owner of 'Ambrosia', family restaurant in Durem.
RACE : Human; Greek
LIKES : Physical contact, emotional contact, hair product, playing games with his daughter, leafy greens, and small animals.
DISLIKES : When Zoe gets a booboo, horror movies, fast food, flaky employees, insects, and being unable to satisfy customers.
LOOKS : Standing just shy of six feet and weighing 160lbs, Phoenix takes pride in his appearance. He boasts his minimal body fat to his friends, and always dresses sharp – usually slacks and dress shoes with a button-up shirt. Even when he's being “lazy” he only downgrades the top to a muscle shirt. He keeps his almost silvery white hair neatly combed back into a low ponytail that hangs just past his shoulder blades, and he has joyful hazel eyes set into dark tan toned skin.

PERSONALITY : Phoenix is happy all the time; he's social and charismatic. If it weren't for his bad pickup lines and going completely over the top with sweetness, he'd have no problem finding a girl. He thinks he's smooth, but it's as if he learned all of his moves from a bad 80's film. Alas, his daughter and his restaurant are his life. Not to say he doesn't try anymore, but he puts considerably less effort into developing a romantic life. He's driven, always improving on his restaurant, and busting butt to make sure everything is always done right and fast. The sooner he gets home to see Zoe the better, but he's not the type to leave early just because he's the boss. And if he is late, the babysitter lives on their floor. He's very family oriented. Every Sunday night he and Zoe visit his parents and brother for a home cooked meal. On work days he still cooks most nights and watches movies with his daughter, and on days off they often go to the park or zoo. Alone time doesn't appeal to Phoenix at all. He's a bleeding heart when it comes to his daughter. When she's hurt or sick, no matter how tough she is about it, he'll cry and worry incessantly. He dislikes anything gruesome or gorey, hence his aversion to horror movies. He'd rather something funny or theatrical.

HISTORY : Shortly after his family immigrated to Gaia, Phoenix was born to the Argyris family. They used their life savings to renovate a vacant building into a traditional Greek restaurant, 'Ambrosia'. Their life was comfortable, but always busy, and both sons learned to help at Ambrosia from a young age. The obvious choice for who to take over the restaurant when their parents got too old was Katsaros, the eldest. However Kat pursued a career in architecture, leaving Ambrosia to Phoenix. He was grateful.

He met Adriana, a hostess at Ambrosia, when she was hired shortly after his promotion to manager. His full ownership of the restaurant came after the birth of their daughter, Zoe, but Adriana had as much intent to stay with the family as she did the restaurant. She was too young to devote herself to that lifestyle, and left before Zoe turned two.

Zoe was five, and smarter than she should have been, when she started asking for a sibling. Phoenix was nearing twenty-seven. Originally he bought Zoe a pitbull puppy hoping that would satisfy her request. It didn't. Fortunately they live comfortably in an upscale apartment in Durem, close to the restaurant. He had an excellent source of income, business was booming, and he seemed to have a fair chance with adoption. It was Zoe who first heard of the Lab from a classmate. She made up her mind on the spot, and Phoenix wants to oblige.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION► Winny is mousy – every bit of her is small and slightly curved, from her tiny hands to her pidgeoned feet. Her face is freckled and round with high cheek bones and a beauty-marked chin. Hazel eyes, magnified by thick-rimmed glasses, peer optimistically beneath thick, black eyebrows and a blunt fringe. Plump, red-painted lips contrast her olive-toned skin and chestnut hair frames her face in long, thick waves. Although she appears innocent beneath her old-fashioned dresses and oversized sweaters, there is a confident sway in her step and she seems quite self-assured.

INFJ► Winny considers herself a no-nonsense sort of girl, and in her line of work, why shouldn't she be? Observant, intelligent and not lacking in tact, she hides behind intricate layers of wit and always thinks before she speaks. On the surface she's easy-going, funny and androgynous, but peel off that carefully crafted shell and you'll find a shy, surprisingly sensitive creature who has transformed years of melancholy into undiscriminating empathy. A byproduct of her softness, she feels highly responsible for the children in her community. Despite the personality she presents to the world, the past still haunts her in the form of bad dreams and insecurities. Winny often has to talk herself away from lingering thoughts that she's awkward, bossy and strange and regularly consults an impressive collection of self-help books. The pathological desire to busy her mind often has Winny working until she's exhausted. Despite her best efforts, she sometimes crumbles beneath the pressure and is prone to bouts of procrastination. Winny’s finely tuned intuition, thanks in part to her chaotic upbringing, has made her weary of others. Even the closest of friends are kept at arm’s length. She has a gift for reading people, whether it be the subtle changes in their tone or the thickness of the air when they enter the room and clings to her instincts with an unmatched stubbornness. Deep down, Winny's a sincere girl who wants to make the world a better place for lost things that remind her way too much of herself.

HISTORY► Winny grew up in a one-bedroom shack and spent most of her life squished between four older brothers and an under-appreciated mother. Neighborhood gossip suggested that Mr. Little left on a motorcycle before Winny was born and nobody had seen him since. A victim of Durem's working-class, Winny learned fairly young to look out for herself. Independence meant acknowledging the loneliness that often plagued fatherless children but she found solace in escapism – particularly, schoolwork. Visions of a life where kids like her had options encouraged her to follow in her mother's footsteps and she began waiting tables at the age of fifteen. She hated the sweaty uniform and the old men that stared through her clothes over their coffee cups, but they tipped in cash and she quickly became accustomed to the way the world worked. Money meant options and she couldn't turn up her nose at that. Winny left High School with a handful of cash and, not surprisingly, a few scholarships. A community college in Gambino seemed practical and the seaside scenery promised lots of bustling cafes to keep her afloat. Surviving on tips and half-priced food, Winny finished her four year program in Social Services and easily found an opening in the bustling port city. The time she puts in at Crepe chips away at rent, a state salary keeps those student loans at bay and a humble two-bedroom apartment leaves her wanting for nothing.
