Egg Visit Participants: Sahra, Keanu, Vivina, Laial, and Guardians Yin and Sahra left the house, heading to D-Corp with out knowing for what. But once there, they came to find that they had begun calling children there to meet their dragon eggs. Sahra grew very nervous quickly, she seemed to be the only child who knew nothing about dragons. What would that mean for her future partner?

Together Again Participants: Sahra, Mew, Adonai It had been a very long last few weeks, chaotic and hectic in all forms, it seemed that her days of endless rest had helped Mew's condition get a bit better, and she was finally beginning to wake up and regain consciousness. "Wow, I think that's the longest I've ever been out for." Yawning, Mew shoved aside the covers of her bed, feeling a little on the warm side, she trudged over to her window sill, and plopped down upon the cushion. It was then she realized that she was in a different form than she usually was around this place, and why didn't she realize she was on four feet instead of two?
She guessed it was because this form was so natural to her. But it didn't bother her, spreading herself out along the cushion, tail thrashing and ears flopped out contently. She crossed her paws and turned her head to stare out the darkened window; her fur was mostly white, instead of the normal gray she should be. Her kind was described as looking very similar to a snow leopard, but, they were different in many ways. For one, they were about twice the size, and had a thick black line down their spine, and rosettes that are 'colored in' completely black that are jointed around their spines (similar to a King Cheetah). But, after a short distance, it appears the same as a normal leopard. Their tails, canines, and claws are much longer in proportion to body size, and each claw is split into two separate sections that are excessively flexible. She was very different from a cheetah; her daughter.
Speaking of her daughter, where was she? It had been a while since Mew had heard Sahra rummaging about, hopefully nothing had happened. It was most likely that Yin had become possessive and just didn't let the girl near the room; she hoped that was the case.
"NO. I don't want to take piano lessons today!" The girl snipped, leaping up the stairway. "I hate it, I don't want to learn it anymore!" Sahra slide along the wooden floor of the hallway, racing towards her room, she was panting, tired, she was nervous and annoyed, and didn't really feel up to much. But something caught her eye, the door to her mother's room was wide open, and inside, in the window, something particularly curious was sitting on her mother's window sill. It looked like a kitty, and its coloring was stunning, all the markings and blends! But what was it doing in there? "Hey you! Why are you in my ma's room for?" She stomped into the room, tilting her head curiously at the creature. "Who are you?"
"Silly girl." She said oddly, shaking her head violently, "Who ever do you think I am?" Mew arose, readying herself to change, she jumped off of the window and instead of landing on four feet, and she landed on two? "I haven't changed, even if I have been out cold for a while." She snickered, having gotten used to differed states of consciousness, for varied reasons (broken skull, other illnesses, etc.).
"MOMMEH!" Sah screeched, leaping upward and throwing her arms around the woman's neck. She wasn't usually so front forward, but this was her mother, after all, how could she help it? It had been a while since she had been allowed to see her mother, and finally she was okay again. "Ma I missed ya and it's been so weird without you awake! Oh man, there's so much I have to tell you, just like so much, I can't wait! And wait, why do you look like a kitty, you're a fox right? We really need to sit down and talk, because Yin, the big meany, hasn't let me talk to you since last wee--"
Mew put one hand over the cheetah's mouth, her canines nearly digging into her skin; she shushed the girl, and was quick to move her hand away. "I know, I know." She replied, wrapping her arms around her spotted bundle, "There is a lot we need to discuss, I want to know everything! And maybe you can get a little out of me as well. I don't think it's been very fair to you, I mean, that I haven't told you anything about my condition." She sighed, pulling a few strands of hair from the girls face; she smiled softly, and seated herself on her bed. "It goes like this Sah, a while ago, well, something very bad happened to me and a close friend. You know I am not originally from this place, right? Well, when I was still at home, during a journey, a group of very bad people attacked our coalition. We were on our way to a city over seas. They attacked us because with us we carried something of great importance that they wanted. "
"Yeah, okay, so?..." Sah wasn't exactly catching onto the point, but then again, it seemed that her mother was only just getting started.
"Well, we had expected attacks, but not from these individuals. Their clan, or village, had a close relationship with our own. But their strongest warriors cornered and attacked our small coalition. We were heavily outnumbered. One of my counterparts had been taken down, and in a desperate attempt to help them I came in contact with their infected blood, although I had no idea. I ended up cursed with a rare illness." Mew hated speaking of the syndrome, and found it very hard to put the event into words that Sahra could easily understand, and better yet words that she could manage to get out of her mouth. "This syndrome, it's simply referred to as 'light syndrome.' It can be harmless, or it can be deadly. It's one of the most feared illnesses amongst the regions I come from, because of what it does."
Sahra tilted her head, nearly digging her fingers into her mothers neck, she wanted to know, but was almost afraid to ask. "Uhh, so then what does it do to you?..." She shivered, snapping her eyes shut; she waited for the reply that she didn't want to hear. But she knew she had to, anyways.
"Well, it's activated by specific wave frequencies present only in sun rays. It causes alien cancerous-like cells in my body to multiply, which begin to break down body tissue." Mew knew it was a lot to intake, especially when you where only eight, but, she knew that Sahra had to know. Unless she understood the condition then she would never understand why her mother was so different from other mothers, at least in the get up in the morning sort of way. She felt entirely bad for saying it, but at the same time didn't regret it. Now it was done with, they could go on with things.
"Oh." Sah said simply, staring up into her mothers icy colored eyes. She had always loved those eyes of hers, bright like winter ice. She grinned, shrugging off the story for later thought; she quickly jumped up, realizing that Adonai was still after her. "Oh no!" She scrambled to the door, then looked up, only to realize that he was standing right there.
"What? What's this? Adonai? What are you doing here?"
"Whaa! Ma you know this crazy guy? Please keep me away from him!" Sahra scampered behind her mother, clinging to her legs she peeked out with one feline eye. The man was rather short, at least in her view, and had blonde hair. His eyes where hidden behind some sort of metal contraption, and his skin was almost entirely covered by a long sleeved shirt, gloves, jeans, and boots.
"Your daughter there should be downstairs sitting at the piano right now; in fact she should have been down there over an hour ago! I am not going to stand for this young lady, you're worse than your mother was, now get down there this instant!"

Another Form? Participants: Sahra Oh man, already it was that time again? Time to fill out another one of those form things for D-Corp. But at least she could do it a lot more easily this time, even if she had a lot more to do, as well. She felt excited; this form meant something would happen soon, something big! And she really couldn't wait to see what. Just like when she had gotten her egg, even if she did get it sort of late, that first form she got signified she was old enough to handle knowing about her egg.
Picking up a black pen from off of the counter, she sat down comfortably at the kitchen table, and soon began to write out odd little answers to all of these new questions. She wondered what D-Corp really did do with these forms? What they meant? But, she soon found she didn't really care all that much, because soon she was off to find some markers in order to color the egg on the form as instructed to do so.
Hm, her egg. When would it hatch? Soon, maybe, hopefully. When it did hatch, it meant she would reach a new milestone in her life, one she very definitely looked forward to. A new friend, companion, and another creature to share her life with. How fun!
She colored in the egg to look as similar to her dragon's as she could muster, for she didn't have to much time to spend on it. She needed to get to D-Corp so she could get to her next class. She didn't want to be late...again. That's all she needed, was to be late and get another lecture from Mabyn. It would surely be life threatening. Yuck.
She folded up the form neatly, putting away the markers and pen in a drawer located in a lower section of the cabinetry in the kitchen. She had been filling out the form in haste on the kitchen counter top. Shoving the paper in her bag, she raced off out the sliding door, beckoning Aja.

First Time For Every New Adventure Participants: Sahra, Mabyn "Woah! This is great!" Staring into an open book, a young spotted feline sat perched upon a small stool, legs folded to the side, tail flickering contently. "I didn't know there were so many species of cats in the world! Wow. This is fascinating." She almost cradled the book in her arms; for it was her open window to knowledge! And a very precious teacher. To learn was to live, after all, is what Yin always said.
"See, I told you that you'd like that book, and the mall for that matter. It wasn't so bad after all, now was it?" Flipping through a few books at a time, and going back and forth in between different rows of shelves, the dark furred feline with hair colored of the sun rushed to and fro a table nearly overflowing with papers and books. "I know that if you like it in here, you'll love the arcade; and the food court, Mm, they have great food here. I can't wait to show you all the clothing options they have here, too." Mabyn was getting herself excited; something about sharing part of her world with her young charge was somehow fulfilling. Was it instinct, or was it it simply just nice to know that a cub she had help raise was turning out half way decent (so far)? Who knows. Her own daughter was a mall frequent, but she was a completely different story.
"Oh that sounds wonderful!" The cheetah proclaimed, closing the book and holding it tight up to her chest, "But are you sure you’ll be able to leave? There are just so many books, and I know you probably want to just take them all home. I know you don't have that much money, though." Grinning playfully with a chirp, Sahra hopped to her feet, and bounced a few springy steps to her companion's side. "So can we eat first? Please? Because I am really hungry now." She wasn't sure if the idea of new food choices excited her or made her queasy. It couldn't be all that bad, could it?
"Yeah sure." Picking up a stack of books, labeled everything from Old World Religions to Pet Care, Mabyn snatched the book from Sahra's cradled arms, shoving her stack and that singular book carefully onto the clerks counter top. "I'm kind of getting hungry, too. And you know what sounds really good? Chinese. Mm." She couldn't help but feel overly hungry, and as the clerk was ringing them up, she added one last thing, "But you can get what ever you want, okay?" Yin was sure the child would take well to Chinese food, at least not her first time around. She didn't tend to eat much of those sorts of foods.
Nodding, the young girl had no objections to anything! The feline was getting a new book, more of Yin's own to read when she was done, great smelling food, awesome insight, and maybe some fun 'games' later on into their trip. This truly would be an adventure unlike any other Sahra had ever experienced; she wondered how it's turn out in then end? She wouldn't know until after they left; it was going to be an overwhelming day.

Beneath the Rainbow - MSN Playdate Participants: Sahra, Gabby, Mew, Asryane, AjaMew Kazuma Raining and pouring, the old man in the sky was snoring, and the light was flashing away. It was days like these that Sah hated, because she hated getting wet! No, it had nothing to do with not being bale to go out, these days no one kept an eye on her, so she didn't even have to worry about sneaking out anymore! It was rather boring, and no fun, that all she had to do was walk out the front door, which is exactly what she did. After throwing her gray rain coat on, of course, over her silver T-Shirt and her jeans that she decided to wear to try and keep from getting so wet. But it wasn't too bad, since it was nice and muddy, after all! This actually might be fun, trekking out and about, she had never done this before. Asryane Drop, drop, drop. She watched the water drops fall down from behind the window, elbows crossed on the window sill. It was raining outside and although the plan had been to go to the park today to play mommy had decided that they'd stay inside instead and go tomorrow. Why did the rain have to come and throw dirt in the awesome plan? "Ohh.. I wish someone'd come to pick me up!" she thought out loud, smacking her hand against the window glass, bright blue eyes staring to the nothingness intensely as if she hoped a head would pop up and take her off to some place fun! Mew Kazuma Jumping and skipping about, it had been a slightly long walk from her home to this other near the river side, on the edge of the woodlands. Sahra was looking forward to spending time outside with her sister, she had planned on stealing her away since earlier that morning, but decided to wait and stick around for breakfast, or else she wouldn't have eaten at all that day. But how would she get Gabby to come out without saying anything to her devil of a mother? She always did, but for once, she hoped that she would not. Sneaking cleverly up to window side, she saw by her luck that Gabby just happened to be sitting by that very window, so, she pounded on it with one hand. "G-Bird!" She whispered, motioning her to open the window. Asryane Drop, drop, oh! What was that? Gabby snapped back to reality as she heard a loud knock on the window, almost jumping up in surprise. She saw the head of a young cheetah girl innocently peeking above the window and when Gabby put all the pieces together and understood what was happening, she couldn't suppress a giggle. It was the Sah-La, of course, and she was motioning for her to open the window! A bright grin curled to her lips and she excitedly put her little fingers under the border of the window, giving it one large jerk before she could easily push it open. "Sah! Sah-la!" she called out, then smacked her hands for her mouth, looking back to see if anyone had heard it. It remained quiet and Gabby chuckled under her breath before she turned back to Sah, now talking in a whisper: "Are we going out in the rain? Didya come to pick me up?" A sudden burst of energy hit the girl and she almost bumped her head against the window in the process. "I was supposed to go to the park, but then the rain came.." she added, reaching her little hands out towards Sah. Sure, the window wasn't that high from the ground, but she didn't want to climb through it and tumble forwards and so draw the attention of momi-eh and Elske. Mew Kazuma "G-Bird be quiet!" The girl snapped ducking down after the large creak extended from the window. But she quickly saw that no one was going to just pop out of nowhere, so, they where safe, at least for a short time! They needed to escape into the woodlands before they got caught! But Sah did have to admit that Gabby was going about it mostly right, better than she usually did, she was surprised to see how well she actually understood what was truly going on. Well, she wasn't sure what they would do yet, but she would consult Gabby about that once they got away from the household she oh so disliked. "G-Bird," She said all hushed like, leaning in further, "Don't you want a rain coat?" But she reached her hands upward, anyways, nodding quickly in response, she would surely feel a lot better once they got out of there! Asryane Be quiet? But she was being quiet! Relatively quiet anyway. "Pff, okays, okays. Gabbsy will be quiet. Or will try to be quiet anyways, that is just so hard sometimes, when dar is so much to talk abouts! Like now then I just won't stop, not my fault but.. because of all these things happening!" she said in one breath, glancing down at Sahra, not realizing that she was babbling away again. Well, yes, shutting up was just harder for some people than for others. Gabby grabbed Sah's hands and with a little bit of help she managed to jump out the window and land on the ground on two feet, flapping her wings to stay in balance. Raincoat? Ahh, well she wasn't going back in now. That'd be way too dangerous, nope, so instead she just grinned at Sahra, nudging her in the side. "Who's last there.. is .. is a pink monster!" she was about to speed away when she stopped herself and turned back. "Uhs, last..where?" she added, wondering if Sah had a plan and if yes what that plan was. Mew Kazuma Sahra pulled on finger up to her lips quickly, "Shh!" She twisted around to look back inside the window, and quickly shut it after Gabby had stepped out onto the ground. "We need to get out of here in one piece, you know!" She whispered, her adrenaline starting to pump through her veins more than ever. Tail thrashing about and ears flickering alertly, Sahra pulled the hood of her gray raincoat up over her head, and turned back around on her bare heel to face her bird of a friend. "I am not sure yet...what do you think we should do?" She asked quietly, for once wanting her opinion on what to do. Maybe they could just go for a walk? Or go scout out some of those rainy day sort of animals? No, not many things were out on a day like this, were they? Well, all except for the birds and the worms, what a lovely combination. Let's figure this out in a few minutes." She looked back and forth in the yard to make sure the cost was clear, and then quickly, she grabbed Gabby by the hand and speed off into the trees. Asryane Gabby could feel the excitement rushing through Sahra and a twinkle of enthusiasm also reached the lovebird. Excitement was more infectious than a cold! Although it was still raining and Gabby felt her clothes getting more and more soaked with the minute, it wasn't cold. Besides, they'd be running so even if she?d get cold she would warm up again soon enough."?We should go out and explore! But where to? I knoow, forest maybe? Yes, forest. Then we can shelter!" Yes the forest sounded like a nice place, the giant trees would definitely give them enough shelter from the rain, and well the forest was never a boring place! A slight tuck on her arm, and Gabby felt herself being dragged off. Hey! This was not how it was supposed to go! She was supposed to be dragging people off! Gabby didn't really mind it much though, it going to other way around was fun for a change! She ran along with her sister, holding one hand above her face to not drown in the water falling down from the blue blue sky. "And there is water pouring down and down and down!" She started to sing as soon as they were far enough to not be heard. Mew Kazuma Padding along quickly, Sahra grew less and less anxious by the second, or at least by the further they got from that god awful house. She was very happy to have successfully escaped the wrath of the devil reincarnated, oh yes, how wonderfully sneaky did she feel! A sense of pride shone through in her eyes, for some reason she felt triumphant over ditching the adults, a feeling she could no longer get in her household. "The forest? But we go there too much. I want to go somewhere new!" But where was the question, where could they g-- wait! That was it! Like the other night on the T.V. show, she knew where they could go! Even if the thought of deep water slightly intimidated her, they didn't have to go deep, really, and it would be nice! After all the day really was quite warm, and so was the rain water! It would be great! "G-bird!" She said excitedly, "Let's go over the climbing rocks to the beach! Yeah, we've never been there before!" Asryane As they were running Gabby's thoughts wandered off towards her momi-eh. Would she be angry if she found out that Gabby had ran off? Would she be worried like last time when she went to the swamp? She wasn?t sure, Yane had proven to be able to react quite hysterically when she thought something had happened to Gabby, but most of the time she was rather laid back. Oh poo! Sah was running so fast! Gabby had a lot of trouble with keeping up but she wasn't going to give up! Not now, not ever! She just ruffled her wings hoping that?d give her some extra speed. "Climbing? Rocks?" So far she had only seen people climb trees and get stuck in trees for that matter. Would it be the same with rocks? Ohh, if so, that sounded exciting! But didn't the beach also had to do something with water? Scary open and deep glinstering water? If so she?d just tightly hold on to her sister. Nope there was nothing to worry about at all. "Okays. Us goes to climb rocks and explore! In the rain!" She giggled excitedly, unable to see the dangers of climbing slippery rocks. "Maybe we'll find some new or shiny things while climbing!" she added, thrilled. Mew Kazuma Sahra had never really realized that she was pulling Gabby a little to fast, normally she paced herself when running with the bird, but she was just a little to excited. The water was pounding down upon them, and she was almost constantly slipping and sliding in the mud of the path, but that made all the adventure, and the fun! Sahra finally got slightly agitated with the slowness of their pace, and pulled the bird up onto her back, and speed off again. Of course she wouldn't last for long this way, but they would surely get to the mountainside a lot faster! She huffed, pacing herself to an extent, she pushed herself along. The rocks where in view! They would soon be successful! "You know the climbing rocks!" She exclaimed, "We've been there once before, remember? It was like the first day we meet!" She grinned as she ran, hearing again about Gabby's obsession with shiny things, she plotted something quickly in her head that she would keep safe for later use. "We'll be just fine." She replied. Asryane Whoa! Gabby had been pulled on the back of the cheetah once again, something she was rather used to by now. One day she?d be able to fly perfectly, oh she couldn't wait, although being carried like this was rather fun as well. A whole lot of fun actually! She just loved distracting Sah while she was running by leaning forwards and tapping on the girl's head. It was their little silly game. "OH. It was da one time with the black spots!" she called out loudly making sure Sah would be able to hear her, when she realized what Sah was talking about and recalled that one-day. It had been her first day with Yane. It seemed so long ago already! "I remember it was fun. But there better not be a lot of water near. Momi-eh is trying to gets me to swim, but I noes want to. Can you swim, Sah-la?" She didn't think that she had asked her sister this before and suddenly became very curious to it. If she couldn't then maybe they could go ahead and take the scary swimming lesions Asryane had been talking about together? That'd definitely make it a bit less terrible. Mew Kazuma To be completely truthful, Sahra hadn't heard much of what Gabby was saying. Her mind was strictly concentrated at the task at hand; she was attempting to keep pace and keep herself from falling over or tripping or something she would normally do. Sahra wondered if she ever stopped talking? Wasn't quiet good at least sometimes? She liked to talk, too, but, not that much, Gabby must have it mastered. "Uh, yeah, there is a lot of water...it?s a beach; it's on the ocean side." She huffed, finally near enough to the rocks; she dropped Gabby off of her back and plopped onto the ground, quickly catching her breath. "And I can swim, sort of...well enough not to drown. Nen's been helping me out with that, ever since I fell in." She skittered up the rocks, it wasn't all that steep at first and not to hard to climb, but soon it would become much harder. Many rocks and boulders lie here and there, but as they pressed upward, the number of them around lessened and lessened. It was true mountainside, although this particular area wasn't bad to climb up and over, it would take them a decent amount of time. Asryane With a loud plop Gabby landed on the ground. If there was one thing she had gotten enough practice with it was landing. Landing after flying, landing after tumbling over, landing after getting thrown off Sah's back. Half her life seemed to consist of landing! Falling and getting up again! Not that there was anything wrong with that, no to be honest Gabby rather liked it. Falling meant excitement and excitement meant having a fun time! "Water.. ocean." Gabby repeated. Her momi-eh might have mentioned something like that. Gabby could slightly recall that it had to do with ?stay away until you can swim? but she shrugged the thought off and happily followed Sah towards and up the rocks. "Momi-eh wanted to teach me to swim and although I wanted to try, really wanted to try, water scares me." She shrugged and hoped forwards, nearly slipping over some loose rocks as she trotted forwards, happily swinging her arms along, hair flowing behind her. Mew Kazuma Sahra, evidently not taking notice of her sister-on-the-ground, hoped up onto her feet. Speeding down the remainder of the mountainside, she stopped once she fell the wet sand beneath her feet; so cool, and fine, and soft, too! Just like Aja's fur, except when it was dry! He smelled bad when his fur was wet, anyways. "G-Bird, come on! Or else all the water will be gone by the time we get down there!" And she truly meant it, it was the time of the day that the tide was in, or at least she had concluded from all of her mothers blabbing on to Aja the other night about some sort of sea serpent. "It'll be fun! We can wade in the shallow water in the tidal plains; it doesn't get very deep at all for a long, long ways out!" Yes, that was good, very good, a very easy solution for them both. Asryane "I comes!" Scrambling over towards Sahra, Gabby looked around happily. The scenery was gorgeous and she had to admit that the water felt nice on her skin. Not too cold, not too warm: it had a perfect temperature. Maybe she would only day actually like the beach and its water? She wasn't planning on going in today though! Her wings always felt so heavy after a bath and Gabby wasn't planning on letting that happen today. "Okays, if you say so Sah-la. I wonder what?s behind das all. Behind the water. Could we ever find out?" It was rather odd, standing there and looking out at all the water while the rain was still pouring down on them. It had something beautiful and Gabby couldn't take her eyes off the water anymore. "I wonder how many baths we can fill with this! Lots and lots, I think!" She exclaimed, grabbing Sah's hand and leaping forwards, tightly holding on to Sah to prevent herself from falling over. Mew Kazuma Pulling away from the bird, Sahra speed forward, sliding down a large hill of sand and small rocks, she came to the edge of the water, the place she knew to be the tidal planes. "Oh! So pretty..." She awed, quickly ripping off her raincoat, she cast it aside onto the sand. She didn't care if it was raining, it was warm out; this would be so much fun! At least for her, she doubted that Gabby would follow. Running out into the water, she splashed about, knowing it wouldn't get much deeper than her waist for a long ways, she felt at ease, and rather excited. This was the first time she had ever been to the beach, and obviously the first time she had ever been in or around the ocean. "This is so nice!" She purred, dragging her feet along the sandy bottom. "You should come in G-Bird! It feels really nice." Grinning widely, she flopped down into the water, rolling around in water only about knee high, she didn't mind going under, so it was okay. Asryane Gabby, closely following behind Sahra almost tripped over the raincoat Sah had just thrown on the ground. She picked it up and ran back towards the rocks, where she put it back down. "Stay there coatsy, till we come back.." With these words Gabby rushed back over to Sahra's side and although the water still scared her a little she followed her sister in anyway. She wasn't going to stay behind alone yet, no, Gabby was determined to give it at least a shot. "It feels a bit like the swamp! Ohh, Sah, when are we going back there?" The sand on the bottom indeed felt as the mud in the swamp, heavy yet soft and sandy. Gabby watched her sister splash around in the water for a bit before she wade back towards the dry sand, kicking up little clouds of sand. Sand! That was it! She turned her gaze up to the sky, wondering if the sand castle she was planning on building wouldn't rain away. Nah, it probably wouldn't and so she started to make a huge pile of sand, strengthening the sand by splashing a little seawater over it. "Come help Sah! Let?s build a castle for ourselves!" She giggled happily, "I wanna be the princess~with lotsa shiny stuff!" Mew Kazuma Splashing here and rolling there, Sahra was actually really enjoying the water for once. For this was so different than a lake or a stream, it was much larger, and didn't get very deep like a swamp did. She knew she would eventually have to deal with her slight fear of deep water, but for now, she would just enjoy her surroundings; the soft sound of waves washing up, the call of seagulls and the soft ring of creatures all about the plains. The tide was slowly starting to go out, so all of the water would be gone with in the hour. "Sand castle?" The cheetah muttered curiously, finally scrambling up to shore to plop next to her sister. It did sound interesting to make one; she had made them with mud and dirt but not really ever with sand, since there wasn't any in the swamp. "Okay!" She laughed, grabbing a lump of sand and quickly begging a "castle" of her very own. "Princess, eh? I bet you'd be a good one, awing over all the shiny things." Asryane As her little hands were working with the sand, the huge pile slowly began to look slightly like a castle. At least she had gotten the towers right and Gabby was now attempting to make a castle moat. Sand castles, hmm, she loved them! On television she had also seen these ice-castles, which people in cold countries made! Those were even shinier, but of course they'd melt. Yep, for them a sandcastle was perfect. Gabby cast a sideway look to Sahra and her own castle and she grinned widely. "We can both be princesses! And bestest friends! Princesses are often best friends! Or you can be the prince if we hide the long hair!" Gabby burst out into giggles and she flopped back in the sand. "Shinies, of course! Mommy gave me a pretty shiny last week! Oh, comes Sah! I'll hafta show you!" As soon as her random obsession with sandcastles had come, it faded again, and a new question popped up in her head. "Do you think there are shinies under the rainbow? That is what mommy also told me. Could we find them?" She was darting around Sahra, eagerly waiting for her best friend to stand up. Mew Kazuma The cheetah had to stop, just to watch the little bird work effortlessly on the castle of hers. What an architect! She surely couldn't construct something of that sort, even in all it's simplicity, Sahra knew she wasn't capable. But it was still fun! "You're weird." The feline stated through grinning teeth, digging her fingers into the damp, cool sand. "We're already best friends, so we don't need to worry about that. 'Sides, I don't think I'd really like to be a princess, OR a prince. It'd be to much work, at least in my part, I'm not at all cut out for such a job! The whole political part of it, all the manners and proper jazz." Thinking realistically as she often did now, Sahra always realized the strange and the unknown, but she was very practical as well, and growing more into it every day. "Um, I don't know, maybe!? Why don't we go try to find the rainbow!? And then we can go back to your house and show everyone! And you can show me your stuff, too, I guess. Think it sounds like a plan? I think it does! Come on; hurry, before the evil beach people get us!" Grabbing the lovebird by the hand, Sahra quickly dragged her off in the direction of the shimmering show of color in the sky; they would find the end, and find the riches that it hid!

What? Participants: Sahra, Mew Zoom! Right through the door she smashed, sliding along the floor, claws scraping against the tile in the kitchenette. It wasn't a pleasant sound, it made her cringe as she grabbed onto a counted side to stop herself. "Having fun?" A familiar voice came from the table only feet away. "Oh, oh, sorry Ma," she blurted out quickly in her own self defense, "I didn't mean to scrape up the floor, I'm sorry?" Sahra quickly edged away from the woman's angered gaze, trying to make it up the stairway before-
"Where have you been?" Leaning onto two palms, fingers intertwined, Mew stared at her daughter, her scowl being a bit more than the girl could handle. She had never made her mother angry before and had never seen her like this either, so she was nearly scared half to death!
"Why were you out so late?" She grumbled awaiting an answer impatiently. "Come on Sahra, tell me."
"Uh, uh..." Sahra couldn't help but feel corned; all she wanted to do was retreat upstairs! Why couldn't this wait until morning when she was better prepared? "Nuh-nothing, I swear, I was just outside in a tree, and I fell asleep..." A lie of course, and she knew Mew would know; Sahra made a quick dart for the stairway. She had been at the beach in company of another, a new friend of hers. He had simply been helping her learn how to stop! There was no harm in that was there? Beside the time it was and the fact that it was entirely pitch black outside, nothing was wrong, at least not to her knowledge!
That was beside the point; but by this time she was already in her room with the door shut and locked. She sank to the floor, why had she done this? She didn't even know, but she knew very well that she wasn't supposed to be out side after sunset. Mew had always told her that that was the most important rule, and until now she had always followed it. Was there something hidden beneath this rule? She wondered.
"You know, you really shouldn't worry your Mum like that, Sah. She had enough other things to deal with right now with out you going and running off. Are you trying to loose your independence?" A large albino water python slithered towards her along the wooded floor, quickly stilling, he let off a soft hiss. "Tonight of all nights you choose, why? What happened?"
Sah sighed, crossing her arms, she felt like shriveling up! "Nothing life threatening, I was just at the beach, no big deal, really..."
"Yes, but who were you with?" The snake shifted into a large, white canine, and plopped himself down next to the estranged cheetah; he nudged at her side, "I know there is more to it, but I am not going to make you tell me," He sighed, "I just wish you trusted me enough to let me know."
"No, no Aja it isn't that way!" But by the time she had finished and turned to peer at the dog, he had vanished. "Uh..." Sahra rose, putting something else in her mind, she decided that she would read about dragons to try and get her mind off of the ordeal. Yin had gotten the book for her the other day at the mall, ever grateful to the cat (for once), she could now learn something about these winged creatures, or at least she could see them. Opening the book wide, she peered at the first few pages, flipping back and forth as she attempted to read some of the writing. "Great, it's an advanced book, I'll never be able to manage," she quickly admitted defeat, shoving the book away as she lied back and sprawled her body out across her bed.
Creakkk. The door swung open, but no one stood before it. "Huh?" She turned, eyes darting about, trying to figure out what was in-
"Sah."
"WAH!" The cheetah jumped, screeching out, she dove under her bed, curling up defensively in a far corner.
"Sah." Mew sighed, pulling the covers away from her view, she peered underneath the bed, "Come out, please."
"But, but..." She twitched, uncoiling, her eyes shot to the position of the noise. It was her mother; great. Couldn't she just leave her be for now? She wasn't in the mood to elaborate; all she wanted to do was relax, and attempt to read her book. But she obeyed, none-the-less, twisting her body out from under the cramped space, "Err..." Sah seated herself on the bed, trying ot edge away from Mew, she wanted no more!
"Come here." Mew reached her arms out, but quickly realizing Sahra wasn't going to budge, she leapt forward, and wrapped her arms around the girl. "Come here, you!" She grinned, teeth and all, the oddly fox-ish looking cat yanked the girl away from her seat, and onto her lap. Pressing her cheek ip against the girls head, she snickered, not for one moment letting on that she would loosen grip of the squirming figure.
"Maaa!" The cheetah flailed her arms, trying to escape the wrath of all the hugging. But she quickly gave up, knowing very well her strength would never be able to match her mothers. She was a big important fighting person, after all. Someone like her, born of such a pure blood, was no joke to be dealing with.
"Calm down," Mew said simply, wrapping her abnormally long tail around the cheetah; she knew Sah liked it when she did that, as much as she used to back in the day. Turning her head, she caught sight of the book lying on the ground, "Realm of Dragons, huh? Doing a bit of light reading before bed?" Only joking of course, she grabbed book by one edge, and onto the bed beside her.
"Oh, er...I was trying to read it, but, I can't very well..." She paused, thinking over her response, "I need to know more about dragons, before I get Ephrem. Yeah, or else I won't know what to expect or how to take care of him right, or her, maybe, but I hope it is a him, since I already have Nen. Oh yeah, Yin got me this book from the mall, you know when she left us all alone with Winny?" Mew clasped a hand over the girls mouth, laughing harder than Sahra had ever heard before, she quickly shoved it aside. "Hey, why did you do that? I was only telling you..."
"A little to fast for me to interpret," Mew admitted, ears twitching, "But I understand enough. And you know Sahzy, you do know what a dragon is already, I have told you about them before."
"But if you have then why can't I remember?" She was certain that she had never heard of them before, almost nearly certain! All the way!
"Do you remember a drayan?"
"Oh, oh yeah! Those things? The things with armored scales, and the big claws, and sometimes wings, and all the other stuff? Don't they vary depending on power, region, and purpose?" Tilting her head, Sahra let off a mew, and leaned back against her mother.
Nodding, the woman pulled twisted silver and pale brown locks of hair out of her eyes, staring down at her daughter. "I guess you know then, because that's our word for dragon. Do you still need to read? If you do I'll help you."
Sahra grinned, "Yes I want to read! I may know about them in general but I don't know a lot about lindyworms yet, which is what Ephrem is~!"
"Alright then, let's read, you start, and I'll listen and help if you need it. Maybe we can switch every other page." She leaned back against a stack of pillows that had previously been placed on the bed, shifting herself into a comfortable position, she knew that she would be sitting for a while.

Concerning the Egg Participants: Sahra, Adonai "Fine." She grunted, swinging around in her chair. Adonai wanted her to write another "entry" about something that was going on, or something she remembered, something like that. But at least this time it wouldn't be as hard to remember, since she was going to write about something that happened relatively recent. Yep, that was it then, she decided, it would be about none other than her dragon egg! She had recently gone to visit it again and this time with her mother in the early evening just before sunset. Mew had seemed rather curious about the thing, so they decided to take a trip to see it! It had been fun, flying there on Aja, and then going through and dealing with the D-Techs, Sahra enjoyed being able to be out with her mother again.
Creative Journal Assignment 02 Sahra Karchekanon 3/28/06
It was just a few days ago, my mother and myself had decided out of the blue to go an see my egg for the very second time. I only got to meet it a few days before that, even, so it hasn't been very long! But I still really like it, because it likes all the same things as me~! Warmth, and running, I think he'll like to curl up under the blankets and pillows just like I do! Maybe we can make piles of plush together! Yeah, that'd be a lot of fun. And we can go out running! No more having to wait for other people to follow and no more being alone or getting stuck in a tree because I don't know someone is coming, oh it'll be so awesome! But that is getting off subject.
We had had a long discussion though about my plans and we decided on a name together, too. I am very grateful to my Ma for helping me come up with the official name of the eggu, Ephrem, because I think it will fit him real well. The other night we read a book about dragons and in it was some stuff about Lindyworms, it said they are sort of mean, so, I don't know, it just fits. Yin made the joke the other day about having to put a dog collar on Ephrem since he would probably end up wandering off all the time, and because he would be hard to keep up with (I think there's more to it than that, though) and I also think that maybe she wasn't joking...
I am not sure if I like that idea, but Ma didn't seem to mind it, so there must not be anything wrong with it. I wonder if all dragons wear collars? Maybe Aja should wear one then? He is rather like one, and always shifted into a dog form? I don't know. But Ma really like my egg, she said she looked forward to having Ephrem around, especially since he could keep an eye on me and she wouldn't have to worry so much now since I would never be alone! I really hope he and I can get along, at least, we can always work on socialization with other people, but I just hope he takes to me...
That hadn't taken her long at all to write, and she felt as if she wanted to write more, but before she could Adonai, the odd blonde headed teacher of hers, snatched out from under her elbow. "Thank you." he said simply, getting a nice healthy glare in turn from the cheetah. She wasn't done! Even if she had been resting her elbows tiredly on the table, nearly half asleep from boredom, staring blankly at the paper. "I'm going to work you hard." Adonai finally commented.

Beach Skimming Participants: Nero, Sahra, and Guardians Yin took Sahra to the beach, were Sahra wandered off disobediently to the cat girl and meet Nero. They spent a fair amount of time constructing a fort; while he dug out a cave of sorts in the side of a damp sand hill she went around and found things to put in the abode. She really had a lot of fun!

Swimming Attempts Participants: Sahra, Ligeia, Vorel Sahra had severely lost track of time, walking by one of her teachers rooms, she ended up wandering in and bumping into someone new. Joining Ligeia and his dragon Vorel for a swim, thanks to Vorel knocking her in the pool (which she didn't mind), they had a lot of fun attempting to swim, together. Sahra really likes Vorel, she was glad he was the first dragon she ever meet. It gave her a lot of confidence about obtaining her own dragon.

Meeting the Menace Participants: Sahra, Mew, Ephrem, Mabyn, D-Tech "What? What'd you say? Something about meeting something?" Yawning, and still half asleep, Sahra buried her face into her pillow, moaning, she didn't want to get up yet, it was to early! And why was her Ma bothering her, anyways? She had just gone to bed only an hour ago, and she knew that since she had caught a glimpse of the time on her alarm clock. Most of the time now she got herself up, but sometimes they, they being Yin, Aja, and Mew, got her up early for various reasons. But she was pretty good about not sleeping in, so most of the time she was perfectly fine.
"Someone's just arrived." The feline spoke calmly, not in any rush to force the girl from her bed. It was already dark and she knew the cheetah had been in bed for some time now, but only a few minutes ago a D-Tech had arrived at her doorstep mysteriously with a creature that he claimed to belong to her daughter. It wouldn't be hard for her to get used to, since she had been around such creatures for most of her life. Especially Aja, his natural form was similar to the beast. Although, she suspected that the rest of the household may have some difficulty adjusting. "And I think you'll be very excited when you meet him."
And right after she heard that, Sahra jumped, nearly falling to the floor trying to untangle herself from her covers, it didn't take her long to leap to the stairway and dart down to the living room.
Mew laughed, watching the girl happily, she couldn't help but grin. This would be good for her, finally someone who could keep up with the girl; it would be good for both Sahra, and for her, since she could sleep in peace during the day knowing that another was with her This meant a lot, and was a very huge step in the girl's growth.
The sight of a semi-large snake like organism nearly gave Sahra a heart attack. She stared at it, having stopped dead in her tracks. What was it? It was brown, and scaled, and had two limbs, but why was it here?
"This is your dragon." Bluntly spoke a man covered in cloth, none of his features could be seen, but his voice was strong, and made up for his mysterious manner. "You should already know all you need to know from us about him; just make sure to take good care of him. You will begin training with him very soon, so you better start getting along with him." And with that said, the man, or person, better said, slipped out the door and was quickly off before anything else could be said.
"Wah?...Dragon?" She mumbled, wiping her eyes, she pawed cautiously closer to the creature. "Uh...hu-hi?" She reached out a hand to him, wondering how he would react, and if he would be anything like Ligeia's dragon, well, she wouldn't know unless she tried to get to know him.
Growling, the dragon shifted his legs, backing up, but soon came in contact with the wall. "Rrr..." He didn't much care to be by any people, and probably never would.
"Oh, oh that's right! You were what was in the egg thing that I went to see sometimes, weren't you? Oh that means you hatched! Wonderful~" Clapping her hands, she jolted forward and wrapped her arms around the creature's lanky body, only grinning as he struggled, trying to move away. "Oh it's okay, I won't hurt you, we're supposed to be friends, we're like bonded or something like that." But that wasn't what she cared about, "And your name is Ephrem, just to let you know. I hope you like it, I spent lots of time looking up names for you, but that one just stuck! And I think it'll fit you, anyways, seeing you now."
Ephrem just couldn't believe the girl, she was so...clingy? Why wouldn't she go away? And why was she giving him a name? Maybe he didn't want one, he wondered if she had ever thought of that! "Grrr. Mrr." But he did like it, it had a nice ring to it, and he had to admit it was better being called Ephrem then dragon.
"So you like it? Good! But I think I'll call you Re. But no one else will, I promise." She hugged him again, yawning tiredly.
Yin approached the creature, holding something brown coloured in her hands, she darted forward quickly, hoping not to surprise it to much. She wrapped the leather object around his neck, and speedily fastened it before the dragon had a chance to pull away.
"Whu!? What did you put on him?" Sahra snipped, darting in front of her new friend defensively as he shook his head to and fro violently.
"A collar, it won't hurt him, it will help him! Besides, if he ever wanders off like I know he probably will, people will at least know that he belongs somewhere." She nodded, thinking of it as a practical solution to their problems, she made haste, and headed up the stairs for her own room.
Ephrem had soon stopped throwing his head around, and accepted the simple accessory, not seeming to mind it after a few minutes.
"Why don't you two head up to bed." Mew smiled, seeing as the two were now introduced, and seemed to get along just fine, she wanted the cheetah to go to bed and get some much needed sleep.
"Okay ma. Come on Re, let's go to bed now..." She slowly padded forward, heading up the long stairway, and through her door. Looking behind every now and then to be sure her dragon companion was following, she jumped into bed, the dragon plopping himself down beside her. She pulled the blankets over them, curling up under the wonderful warmth.
