Nera closed her fist and the cero was destroyed before being fully formed. Nera turned around from the girl and simply said ,"Insults, lies, you think you're so smart..." Nera was talking in a cold voice as she didn't even bother looking at the shinigami. "You hide my .... and think its best to anger me, when you're about to die." Nera closed her other fist and increased the gravitational force on Aislinn's body.

Nera turned around to show Aislinn a dark look that was calm, yet had a vicious aura around her. "I'm going to show you an arrancar's wrath..." Nera increased the force on four specific points on Aislinn's body and lighten the rest as these four points are crucial. Nera increased gravitational force on Aislinn's wrists which meant that if she tried to pick up her blade or try to attack, it would cause massive acceleration to the point it would bend into a breaking point. Next was the tendons of the feet which were the tissue connecting muscles to the bone on the legs. There was another point Nera chose, the spinal cord which held the intervertebral disks that could shatter, which meant the destruction of her spine and back area.

Nera chose these for they were the points that would render any human unable to fight, for the spinal cord was needed to stand up straight and the tendons were needed to have the bones supported by a network of muscle, meaning they were needed to stand. And the wrists were chosen if they broke, swordsmanship would be then based only on the ability to strike without moving your wrist, which were only straight-strikes with little movement. Nera was using her abilities to the function of disabling and destruction of one's body.

Much to her chagrin, Aislinn was forced by Nera's gravity into a low bow, palms flat on the ground as she bent double. It required all of her strength to keep herself from being forced prostrate in front of the arrancar, but her pride wouldn't allow it. It was obvious she had incurred more than Nera's displeasure, but the thought made her grin tightly. She'd kept her mouth shut. Kasen and the Pack were safe, and that was the important thing. Aislinn also derived some small measure of amusement from pushing the arrancar's buttons. When-- of perhaps if-- she survived this encounter, she silently promised herself that she'd pay Nera back a hundredfold.

Quite abruptly, the pressure on her body lessened. Aislinn made to push herself to her feet, but the moment's reprieve was replaced by pain that lanced through her wrists, ankles, and back. Aislinn gritted her teeth, but she couldn't suppress a small whimper as the pressure increased. With twin cracks, the delicate bones of her wrists shattered and she slumped forward, crying out in surprise. She felt something snap in her ankles, eliciting a fresh wave of agony. She arched her back in pain and the extra pressure and movement proved too much for her spinal column. The vertebrae were crushed under the pressure, and Aislinn's movements ceased. She lay on her back, breathing harshly through a haze of pain and rage.

Unwilling to admit defeat even in these circumstances, Ash fixed bright, furious eyes on Nera and gasped out a string of choice Gaelic curses.

"Go n-ithe an diabhal do cheann. " Nera said in a mocking tone in Gaelic, continuing to anger her opponent who was now on the ruins of her back, and was now trying to live through the pain. "How are you going to fight? You can't stand, you can't move your hands through those wrists, you can't even move your body with the spine shattering." Nera looked at the girl as she crouched down and whispered ,"You think you're so great, you're pride left you without your body, but left those you wished to protect safe... You hid the location of the one I seek, you hid the one I love!" Nera brought her claw back and thrusted it forward towards Aislinn's face.

However she paused as Nera remained crouched down and smiled saying ,"No.. I want you to live, live in suffering, in pain with this day and this moment etched into your very soul. Hate, anger, vengeful pain, these are what you will feel when you feel my presence, let it flow into you and become a death that will destroy your soul and humanity. I will find Kasen, I will take him and trap him away from your world, and into Hueco Mundo where his humanity dies and he shall become my wolf, where he shall never return as you once thought! I am Nera vi Somba, let that name be binding your heart every time it is uttered!" Nera laughed as she sealed her powers into the shape of her large zanpakuto that was now on her back once more. "So I'll let you live, get healed, and remember you God of Death, how close you were to Death itself!"

With that, Nera vanished into a garganta laughing as she was going back to wait for her prey to arrive and take him to the darkness of the world of hollows.

Powchii apparated, his entrance was noted by the sound of faint thunder. After combing through the woods for awhile he felt a faint spiritual pressure. He zoomed in on the exact location of the energy signature. . . Is this the one? The one Jes sent me to get? What a mess she's in. . . He was taken back when he saw the damage the Shinigami had taken.

"Poor little pup." Genma said quietly.

Putting on a smile Powchii walked over to her and knelt besides her placing his hand gently on her head, "My~" he said assesing her wounds, "What have you done to yourself?" he shook his head and chuckled soflty. As a Bount he himself had no ability to heal others, only himself, but if he could transfer some of the Shinyogo's power to her he could possibly fortify her bones long enough to take her to where she needed to be. He unzipped his jacket and unbottoned his shirt revealing the outer rib cage that formed when he took in Jes's shadows. He concentrated hard on the young Shinigami, "My name is Powchii Hamada. I am a Bount, but also an ally to you. Might I ask your name?" he said, as he began to prep the Shinyogo for the transfer of energy.

Aislinn's eyes snapped open. She'd closed them after Nera had left her, sinking into a sort of stupor where the pain wasn't quite so potent. The touch to her head pulled her back to reality and the pain came roaring up her spine, so much so that she gasped aloud, luminous blue eyes wide in shock. After a moment, the focused on the unfamiliar face above her. Her brow knitted in confusion and she tried to jerk away from his hand. The slight movement only elicited a burning pain that crawled up her neck and brought tears of shame and hurt to her eyes.

"Came off second best in a scrap," Aislinn lilted, though the merriment was forced. She hated to show weakness, but, incapacitated as she was, it was quite a struggle, and she was losing. "I'm Aislinn--" She broke off, taking a shuddering breath before continuing. "-- but y' c'n call me Ash if it's easier,"

The last word petered off in a half-suppressed whimper. Ash could only keep up the stoic front for so long, but she was panicking. It closed up her chest and made it harder to breathe. Never before had she felt so small, alone, and helpless.

"Are y' going t' help me?" She asked softly, a small spark of hope lighting her eyes. They were frightened yet trusting-- naive as only a child could be.

(You, sir, are a bad guy. >_>)
PostPosted: Sun Nov 15, 2009 6:51 pm

"Hm~" he gave her a warm smile, "Second best is only a nicer way of saying you lost right?" he shook his head and laughed once more. Attempting to help her feel better he began to joke about her fight, "If you look this bad, how bad does the other guy look?" he only smiled at his last statement. Noticing he was only making the pain worse he removed his hand from her head.

Powchii warmly worked around her as she talked, "Aishlinn? Sounds Irish to me, as a matter of fact you even sound Irish." he tried to be as friendly as possible, but it was hard for him to act it. He had been able to play almost any part asked of him, but niceness wasn't his forte. "Ash is easier, but not as nice as Aislinn." he said, her name reminded him of someone from his past, but he repressed his thoughts quickly and continued to work.

"Yes, Aislinn I'm going to help you as best I can, but you need to hold on for a little while longer, kay~?" he said gripping at his chest, a large amount of energy welled up inside of him.

((Yes ma'am, I am!))

For quite some time she had last came to Karakura. A few months to be exact since her last visit. Returning with her sister to aid her comrades in a state of war, only to be abandoned once again by her family. She scoffed as she quietly followed a trail made by a strong figure, once she had assumed was arrancar. It had grown faint, but she couldn't assume it was struck down until she had seen it for herself.

"Out one mess and into another. Ugh, why did I even leave with her in the first place? So damn pointless..." She said, picking up the pace, doing her best to consume as little reiatsu as possible to keep her whereabouts hidden. She soon came upon a forest, where she started to sense two more people, one a shinigami and another she wasn't too sure of so she figured it was a Bount. The force of the shinigami's reiatsu was quite weak, Eme figuring that this one may have fought the arrancar.

"Meh, I should be careful, nonetheless. God knows, if more of them show up. Can't deal with them if I have to protect the injured..." Running past a group of trees and bushes alike, she came upon a forced clearing, likely due to an explosion of some sort where she had found the two people she had sensed a little earlier. She reverted her suit back to her gloves, revealing a sort of casual wear that Eme was able to wear thanks to further mastering her abilities.

"Hey! You two!" She called out to get their attention.

"You guys ok? Are either of you critically injured or anything? You should call 4th Squad if you have the means." She said, stretching out her arms as she moved towards them.

(I've been duped! O_o)

"... Why are you helping me?" Aislinn asked, working to keep Powchii's face in focus. His words were calming her down to a point, but there was still a niggling fear that wouldn't allow her to relax. She felt caged in her own, useless body, and the feeling made her nervous. Powchii wasn't a shinigami, so, to Ash's eyes, he wasn't to be trusted. At the same time, he was the only one who'd found her after what could have been hours. She wasn't one to deny his help, but she was rather wary of his intentions. After all, the Bounts maintained only casual affiliations with Soul Society. There was no reason he should be helping her. In fact, it was entirely too coincidental that he'd found her so easily.

As quickly as these paranoid thoughts came to mind, Aislinn pushed them aside. It wasn't fair to distrust him so easily. All the same, she desperately wanted the comfort of the familiar. Strangely enough, she found herself wishing Ami was with her. Odd that she would think of her at a time like this, but there it was. She was more conscious of her desire to have the small healer by her side than she'd ever been.

Abruptly, a new presence entered the clearing. Given her state of incapacitation, Ash was unable to see who it was. This, again, lit a thread of fear in her. She felt vulnerable in the worst way. The feeling was only slightly allayed by the mention of 4th Squad. That meant this new presence-- a woman by voice-- was a shinigami: a true ally.

"I think I'm all right, now, Powchii," She said. If a shinigami was present, the Bount need no bother himself with her.

"Because it was asked of me." he said. Noting the new prescence he responded, "She'll need help after I patch up her body." he said almost robotically.

"Best hurry," Gekko whispered.

"Don't rush." Genma chided.

I'll go as fast as I want. . . he winced in pain as a small black circle formed in his chest, a blue light emanated from it. "See? I'll have you back up in no time." the energy from the hole started to amass into his palms, forming a small orb the size of a softball. He held it in one hand as he held the hole in his chest, a small amount of blood trickled from it.

"Beautiful isn't it?" he asked as he stared at the orb, it was glassy and had many strands of energy that seemed to swim inside of it. he gave a faint smile when he saw a small black orb of energy in the centre of the it. The light from it seemed to dance in the darkness surrounding him Aislinn and the newcomer. "I'll need this back, but for now I'll let you borrow it." he held the orb over Aislinn. It shattered, and like water was absorbed into Aislinn's body like a sponge. He had given her a small portion of the Shinyogo. It was pure energy, it doubled all of the actions performed by her body: Healing, strength, and spiritual pressure. However; the healing proccess is slightly jarring, "While you're healing you will feel some pain, which is expected as your bones snap back together." he said shrugging, "To get better you're going to have to suffer for a bit." he added. Without a doubt it would make her feel heavier and more powerful. "I must ask while you are in possesion of this energy you must not exert yourself. If you do the energy might cause an unstability in your body." Powchii warned her because when he first came into contact with it damaged his entire body, inside and out.

"You'll be able to move soon, and once you heal at the Soul Society I'll need you to meet me back here." he stood up and buttoned his shirt and zipped his jacket back up. "What I've given you is a part of me, therefore, you can clearly see why I need it back." he gave her another forced smile and waited for her to get back up. He noted to himself that Jes's shadow had been successfully placed inside of Aislinn.

((Sorry for the slow post, was working on chores. . .))

As he began the healing process, a cold feeling had swept over Eme like a cold breeze. The omnious feeling running up her spine almost made her shudder, but she endured it. The energy he used was unsettling and somewhat familiar. A pain in her stomach slowly grew more and more uncomfortable, placing a hand over her stomach, playing the discomfort as her scratching her navel.

Thats never a good sign... She mentioned to herself in thought. She always heard the old phrase of a gut feeling, but never thought it to hold physically. She watched the Bount closely, her stomach twisting a little as she stood her ground. She had to keep quiet at least for now. Though the situation made her unsettled, she had to believe he was helping. She couldn't attack without proper evidence.

(It's ok ^^)

Before Aislinn could protest, the orb Powchii had drawn from his body shattered, its contents spilling over her chest and sinking into her skin. Panic gripped her, but it was overshadowed by sudden shocks of pain that radiated from her back, wrists and ankles. At first, they were bearable-- barely so, but tolerable nonetheless-- but discomfort gave way to agony that lanced through her entire body. She was aware of a symphony of cracks and pops resounding in her ears and she arched back, lower back lifting from the ground as she writhed in intense pain.

Her jaw ached with the force with which she clenched her jaw, but she held out, unwilling to give voice to the awful sensations. Still, the fact that she could move enough to display her pain was a good sign. It meant that whatever technique Powchii had used was mending her crushed spinal column as well as the rest of her hurt.

As quickly as the pain had hit her, it dissipated. The process left her flat on her back, breathing hard. Her bright blue eyes registered shock and she clenched her fists. Shock turned to delight, and she sat up so quickly her head spun. She could move. Whatever Powchii had done had worked wonders. Although her back felt stiff and tender, she could move, and that was all that mattered. She rolled on to her knees and went to push herself to a standing position, but her legs wobbled unsteadily. Whatever had transpired had robbed them of their strength, and she wasn't sure she could stand. At the same time, there was an odd yet comforting weight to her chest. She felt strong and whole and she reveled in that feeling.

Resigned to a kneeling position, she smiled delightedly at Powchii, oblivious to anything sinister in his actions. He had healed her and for that she was in his debt. "Well label me very impressed," She said once she'd caught her breath. "What was that y' did, there?" She looked briefly to the shinigami who'd arrived and wondered at the troubled expression that colored the woman's features. There seemed nothing wrong with what Powchii had done, though it was vaguely mysterious. It was like no healing process she'd ever experienced, but that wasn't enough to make her suspicious of anything sinister.

(... What are these shadows?)
PostPosted: Sun Nov 15, 2009 8:27 pm

((Shadows are Jes's way of tying herself to you. With them she can keep an eye on you. . . If given a lot like I have you'd find yourself easily influenced by her will over you.))

Powchii couldn't help but smile as he saw her writhe about in pain. He watched, and a look of enjoyment spread across his face. He shook his head; the show didn't last long.

"Better now eh~" he said panting. . . Damn, she used up more of it than I had planned. . . he looked at her bounce back up from what she had looked like a second ago. "It wasn't a technique, it was an object." he said sitting down leaning against a tree, "It's called the Shinyogo, an object created many years ago by the Bounts. It's a counter to the likes of the Hogyoku." he said coolly, "It doubles the rates at which it's host body works." he added.

Noting the second Shinigami he assumed she suspected a hidden nature in him. He didn't acknowledge her.

The tree's of the forest rustled as someone was coming for them. A dark figure that ran from shadow to shadow was looking around, and appeared to be smelling the area. The shadowy figure growled as it got closer to the target it was seeking as if finding a prey to hunt. The figure walked into the light of the world and revealed it to be a werewolf like creature. The creature had a coat of green fur on its torso and had black fur that covered its legs and paws. The creature looked at the standing body of Aislinn and growled her name, but the words didn't come out physically as the werewolf spoke to her mind. "Aislinn..."

The creature growled as he began to glow faint purple and his fur reverted into their true form, a shinigami uniform and body of the werewolf was replaced with humanity's form. The claws became hands, paws became legs and the tail shrunk into nothing as the creature's head gained humanly features until the person was back to normal. This new person had a shinigami uniform, yet a hood overlooked his head and he held two blades by his side.

"Ash....."
The person said in a low whisper as he walked forward, then he realized the presence of two others. A shinigami, and a bount. Kasen hasn't seen a bount since that one day, that one wedding day of chaos that was all caused by the leader of their group. "Why are you here?" The shinigami asked Powchii with a slight tone of malice. "Did Ky send you here?" The name of that person displeased him yet had a respectful tone with the hate as Ky was leader, but a bount.

"I take it by the uniform, that you're a part of the Gotei, correct? I think this is ok now. You should take her back to the Sereitei immediately. Get a move on." She said, assuming her position as a vice-captain by making an attempt to control the situation. She laughed a little to herself as she wasn't even sure if she was still a vice due to her long absence.

"You, the Bount. We no longer need your services. Go back to your ringmaster." The feeling was gone once the shinigami; who the others referred to as 'Aislinn', though it still continued to make her feel unsettled. Those shadows are evil, and though it took a moment for her to figure it out, she had concluded that they came from Jes.

No one controls the shadows like she does, that dark energy felt alive and it had to be hers, that can only explain why I felt so uneasy, I'm full of that dreadful energy. She thought, trying to not remember her first encounter with jes. An encounter that left her defiled and humiliated, though it won't happen again.

"If you guys are done, just get a move on and go, I'll continue to stay around if something else decides to come around."

"Kasen," Aislinn sighed with relief to see someone familiar in this sea of strange faces. "It's all right-- the Bount healed me using some sort a' technique or somesuch. Don't be too hard on 'im. He was the only one who came to help me after I got in a bit of a scrap with an arrancar,"

She spoke this last part with a hard look at the shinigami woman who'd spoken so harshly to Powchii. Although Ash had been similarly inclined to count the Bounts as an enemy to the Seireitei, she was forced to reassess her opinion based upon recent events. In her eyes, the woman was being unnecessarily aggressive towards someone who had just helped out a comrade. It didn't sit well with her, but she was more concerned with getting back to the Seireitei than starting an argument with someone who was quite likely a higher rank.

"Thank you," She looked back at Powchii. "For your help, I mean. How will I know when you want your Shinyogo back?"
