@ Jeddi You're the only avid fisher in the clan, I think. Since it would take most of us too long to fish on our own, we fish together and pool our fish.

I would like to fish more, I just don't have enough time to do it all the time.

I am Chimera @ Tay We should keep that subforum. It was renamed MultiMedia so that people other than writers could share their art/talents with the clan (i.e. Rad and Senpai's art, Darc's emotes, etc.). I'm not sure what else to call it. I still visit it now and then, but not many utilize it or seem to visit it themselves. I don't know what to do about it, though I'd like to keep it. When I think of the word multimedia, I think audio stuff or television (like an entertainment center). If we are going by things that are writing, art, etc, it's more like a creative works subforum. Another problem was that I often confused it with the media subforum below it, because they sounded too similar in titles.

Well, you wouldn't have to worry about that. That forum has been cleaned out and is now blank for whatever. Also, someone brought this to my attention today, and I think it really needs to be discussed. I will call said person, "Person A." Lately, Persona A has noticed a shift in the clan's personality traits since Iori-kun became part of the Trogk family. I kinda noticed it myself, and I'm glad someone else has as well. This is what Person A has told me: Person A The reason why I wanted to show this is because with this talk about bringing in some new blood we need to make sure that everything that went wrong when Iori was brought in that can be prevented is prevented. That means checking egos at the door, and remember that there is a line between disciplining a misbehaving member and alienating them. Iori is special. Personally, I like him because of his refreshing personality. But there are some who feel the opposite, and that's fine. I'm not asking them to like him for the sake of a "happy clan." But, at the same time, we can't act this way to every single new member regardless of how we feel personally- for example, the egos some of the members have. I'm not saying everyone has an ego, but there are a couple. And when checked at the door, they are GREAT members. But when they aren't, well... not so great members. Catch my drift? I'm not trying to be mean, or anything like that. I'm pointing out an issue that I've noticed and someone else has noticed. So, what I'm trying to say is, in order to make this clan better, we have to better ourselves in addition to bettering the clan. Don't ask me who came to me, I'm not telling. PMs and IMs are confidential when it's one-on-one. ============================================== Alright now, how about that Halloween event? What theme should we go for? This'll give me an idea on the type of games to use. And prizes...

Maybe the Halloween event can coincide with Tony's Fanfiction? Maybe it's the anniversary of when the TROGK castle was attacked?
Just throwing that out there for roleplay ideas.
Theme. Hmmmmm : I I can't think of a good thing right now.

I think we all know the "mystery" people.
All I can say is that respect is mutual. As long as people listen to what other's have to say, and respect their wishes, there is no problem. However, when people disregard other's completely with sarcastic comments, I think measures need to be taken. I also think that clan ranking means something. Kain is the ultimate authority, of course, but VC and Crew should still be respected and taken seriously.
@ Zen Remember, there is a thread for fanfic comments and ideas. wink

; ~; but it's not a fanfic idea-----is it?
OH s**t it doubles as one! Thank you Tony ^ ^
Well yeah. I agree with Tony, being on higher levels means we should be taken seriously.

It should certainly be taken seriously, or have the title VC or C to have some weight to it. But, egos that come with that should be dropped at the door. At least, that is how I see it.
Hm... We can role play those events?

I was asked to put my 2 cents in, and since I just got my paycheck, I think i can spare the change.
1) Apologies for not being around. I just havent been on gaia really, I needed a break and need(ed) (still kinda in the middle of it) to sort out my real life. The e-drama/complexity of gaia has taken away from its ability to be an escape and has become more of a responsibility, so in light of that current view, I have taken some personal time to collect my life so that something like this can be enjoyable again.
2) After having read everything listed here, I see something that I guess after having been gone, feels like a brick to the face.
Everyone is asking "what do we need? What is missing? What do people want?"
Aside from the general sentiments of "We just friggin need a better game that works" no one knows what they want, and usually once this is true, it stays true because its been true of all people all over the world. The fact that there are too many "what ifs" and too many possibilities, most of which we have no control over, I say abandon this angle for a time. Lets go to
What do we actually have that has worked so far? To you members who are the ones whove mastered the game or are pros, what has kept you playing so far? What has made the game enjoyable for you so far and kept you coming back? To be honest, the game itself for me has always been boring, and for me to get into MMO's in the first place was always tough, zOMG has been a whole new definition that....sadly Maple Story has seemed like a better MMO lately and that mmo is garbage on a plate. So if you could somehow expose me to what you do that has made it enjoyable for you, maybe me and others who have found the game fairly lackluster will see it as you do. I know for one, being alone does suck, and almost in a way, this game discourages huge teams because last I remember, too many people on a map means too many people in an area before screen switch, and everyone saps up the monsters and no one gains anything out of it, so I think this might be an inherent flaw in keeping the game low performance but....yeah...it comes at a cost.
So again, switch gears. We can go through a billion ideas and ask what can we do? But thats something for after a solid foundation has been asserted. What do we have that has kept us standing, and how can we become experts at it? All the biggest groups in the world started with what they did best naturally, and then perfected it. You can look all you want for raw diamonds, but usually its best to start with the unpolished on, bring that to a brilliance and then build off that. That will be our niche in the guild world, and everything else will be extra, and you can play with ideas then because right now, we cant even say "lets get back to basics" cause we have no basics, and that might very will be the root of our problem. Group dynamics arent forced or created, they are inspired.

Don't shoot me! ಥ__ಥ
What is our foundation? Besides our clan? Just to clarify.
Owa, one; Hello *business hugs* two; zOMG is only enjoyable when you are with people and not being bothered by n00bs all the time and NOT FAILING. In my opinion. three; I agree. No one knows what they want, hopefully we achieve that at this meeting. I honestly will follow Senpai, but I don't deviate off the trail, she says and I do. That is how I live with TROGK.
@Kain: I dunno xD Just talk about how the Castle was attacked I guess?
OH, as for Egos with tittles, I don't assert authority, I usually never need to since n00bs come in during everyone else's hours.

Wondrous to see you, poor dear, sad to hear you've had to leave on such terrible reasons!
*huggles back*
Anyways, on foundation, I guess clarifying it would be mission one before we continue on with more complex ideas?
Well we all anticipated zOMG? We have good chemistry together? (almost sitcom-ish? :0 ) We all love Kain to death?

We ARE a sitcom, damnit! Where are my cliche audience sounds?!?!? mad You love me all to death, and you know it. If I take over the world, you all would be in my army. Buwahahahahaha ::coughingfits:: >_________<
In all seriousness here, Owa has a point. What really made us continue playing the game (for those that still play)? Beyond the game, what made you come to this particular clan in the first place? There is Knight, very similar than our clan, if not better. I think we're making this harder than it needs to be, and that's because of our lack of time schedules, communication and overall lack of participation when we do have events.
OK, not to throw everything else out the window, it's best to look back at what made this clan in the first place. I should know this, as I created it! XD What I originally had in mind, is a group of close friends helping each other with the game. In addition, partaking in events Gaia has created and making our own spin on them. Some of that we do now, but it can be refined to be better. It comes down to planning together and spreading the word out. And it's not even the fact that cabinet members don't talk to the members, as we hardly talk to each other over clan issues. If we do, it's one or two cabinet members. Something that I think ought to change. For myself, AIM is the best possible way to get quick and on-spot discussion. For most, it is through PMs and threads. And that is for a collective input at different times of the day (post now, think later and add-on or take off).
I have more to discuss, but I just had a brain fart. So, when I get back to my original thought, I'll expand. I'll also extend the meeting. It's not going to have an end date, so more can be added. Once everything is squared away, that is when it will close.

I agree with you for the most part Senpai. Obviously we all love you, this is a duh issue. But that isnt what zOMG is about, thats what sOMG is about >_> hehe.
But I think you pointed out something that should be a separate but important issue. Why do they come to this clan then too. So if anything, we might wanna collect from people 2 things, and in this priority.
1) What keeps them playing zOMG? 2) What keeps them in this clan?
I think its important its in that order so that as a clan, why they're here is inherant, but to keep the clan connected to the game (which is the purpose of the clan overall) we need to know how to inspire the less frequent players to play more. I dont think getting people to interact that much is really the problem as much as the actual quality of the interaction time spent. We've made it this far as a clan, i think the person-to-person issues are less of a factor then the fact we arent playing as much.
and I think zenny brought up a good point that might be one of the reasons people arent playing, we all anticipated zOMG, many of us probably had high hopes that have yet to even be visualized, let alone met by zOMG. So hopefully lets see who the key players are and what keeps them playing and visiting.

Problem with playing zOMG, is it lags way to much for me to really get the chance to play. It's like that with a few others as well. If I could play I would.
What keeps me here is the friends that I have made. Plus I have fun in the threads goofing around.
