Cristian breathed deep sigh of relief when the strange woman melted from the shadows and told them that she would take Loki. He did wonder though, what would Loki have done if she had woken up while being carried by Him!? Frankly he never wanted to find out. They were told to follow the blond teach to the dorms, and so he fell in line with the group as the walked through the gate and onto the massive school grounds. He heard peoples amazement, an couldn't help but feel it himself. The teach began whistling as he walked, then looked back at them, asking where they came from.
A girl in front of Cristian spoke first, she was the one who had been on the other side of the car in front of the gate. After she finished he spoke up. I'm from Southern California," he said, not knowing what else to say. They walked and Cristian also stared up in wonder at the spires and castle before them. Oddly, the first thought that came to mind was that it must have cost large amount of money to heat a place of such size.

яιcнαяd >> Professor of the Shape-shifting 101 <<>>> Partner in Crime; Feldspar, Students. Evelyn <<<____________________ ╰☆╮ ____________________ “Ah, someone from the coast…. Lovely up there,” Richard commented lightly, then looked back at a blond boy behind him. “I just came from America myself! I’m from South Carolina.” He chuckled and looked back forward and commented lightly on some of what the other students were saying.
Richard grinned to himself, remembering when he first came here. It was about 220 years younger at the time, but it still did not change much. Just re-walking the paths, he felt the old amazement come back to him and he couldn’t wait to re-visit some of his favorite places. He heard a brunette girl say ‘Wow’ and Richard looked back at her, “Grand ain’t she?” He sighed, “Remembered when I first came here. But that was when I was but a lad.” Richard then got something red in the corner of his eyes. “Troublemaker!” He said, pointing at the red-headed girl that he had recently found in the woods, “Come follow us, why don’t ya?”
Evelyn peered up, looking at the Doc. She cocked a brow and looked at the other students. Others were here too? Well duh… it is a school. She just shrugged, “Yeah, yeah.” Grabbing her bags, she followed in the line. Richard then opened the dorm doors.
“Forgot exactly how they work the rooms out…” He shrugged, “But go ahead and choose whatever rooms you want, for now at least.” He held the door open and when all the kids were in, he walked in himself. The halls were already lighted, and the hallway was full of closed doors. Richard leaned against the wall, starting to whistle to himself, checking out his fingers for a moment before returning them into his pockets. He waited until everyone was settled, and hopefully either Emily or Feldspar would come in.
He had only recently got here.

Miss Emily
As soon as Emily turns from the door, Richard's familiar whistling prickles her ears. She smiled secretly as his whistling lead her to him. Oh, how that whistling took her back to happier days: of courts and ballgowns and parties--of London and the countryside of Kent. Richard reminded Emily of many people from her past, but mainly her first husband (he loved to whistle as well). He was more of a friend than a lover, but Emily still cherished the memories she had of him. He was the son of a squire--a country boy. As her thoughts trailed on, Emily began to wish that she had met Richard earlier in her life... But Emily was older than she admitted to anyone, possibly older than Richard--she never asked him or herself. "Only Alistair... and Victor," she thought.
She was sure Richard heard her footsteps before he saw her, for that was just how he was: he always seemed to hear Emily before he saw her, as if his main sense was his hearing. Emily enjoyed the rare moments when she was able to catch him off guard, due to this fact. It was one of her few forms of a prank or a trick.
Emily approached Richard with her hands outstretched towards him and a wide smile on her face. Victor's shirt remained in one of her hands and it smelled strongly of that new pup. "I should should wash this before returning it to him, lest a scandal," she noted quickly.
"Richard... I am very sorry about earlier, but that poor girl!" She exclaimed as she proffered her cheek for him to kiss as he took her hands in his.

He was watching students explore the halls, open doors and inspect rooms. He continued to whistle, wondering how the pups got here, what they had to make them come here, and how their first changes went. His was horrible and sometimes came back as a sliced wound in his heart. He shook his head; he’d take care of these pups. Emily was more like the mother, Feldspar the strict father, and him? Well, Richard was more like the fun uncle that everyone went to when they needing something. He laughed softly at his family representation.
His thoughts were interrupted when Emily came before him and Richard slightly jumped. Oh, she would get a kick out of that. He took her hands in his, patting them softly and kissed the cheek that was offered to him, chuckling and grinning. “No harm done to my poor heart, dear,” He teased, looking at her. How long has it been since they last saw each other? “Will she be alright?” He looked her over for a moment; she still wore the dresses she did when she was a teenager, him meeting her when they were here for the first time. “How has life been treating you? You look lovely.”
He glanced to his right for a moment, keeping an eye on the pups before looking back at her.

Miss Emily
"I imagine she will be fine," Emily smiled at his worrying, "She is a young one--still tired out by her aggressions. Time will fix that. And you too, I'm sure. But, nevertheless, we'll have to check on her in the morning."
Emily pictured the scar on the pup's forehead. She felt a slight shiver go down her spine as she, regrettably, imagined what could have caused it. Could it have been from her First Change? The hairs on her neck stood on end. She did not like to think about changings that were bad. Hers ... well, hers was supposed to have felt right.
She noticed how he seemed to pay more attention to the pups than her at the moment. She felt a slight tinge of jealousy as he glanced away from her to look at them, but it subsided when she realized she had given him the same treatment outside. It seemed to be instinct, to watch over the youngest members of any grouping, werewolf or no.
"But I am fine," she says, picking at her green skirts and knocking the dust and dirt off, a little embarrassed by his comment. She had forgotten how easily these clothes of hers gathered dust.
"I've been traveling," she declared proudly, "I met a tribe down in Australia, where I was last. Australia is so beautiful--the land, the sea, the--" she seemed to be at a loss for words remembering the beauty of the Australian wilderness and just stared off down the hallway, not really seeing anything, but what was in her mind. "--...the endless sky. Oh, Richard...you would love it."

[[LOOK HERE-So, if you've been a little confused about the time frame Blackthorn exists in, think a little Steampunk. As in, some technology has advanced much quicker in some areas, and not too much in others. There are cars, but the airship is used for flying. There are guns, but they've only existed a couple decades, crappy technology. Electricity is used, but in smaller amounts. Lamps are gas powered, but genetics are being studied. No computers, no phone lines, otherwise, Blackthorn's concealment would be, well, impossible really. That is all ^_^]] Professor Victor Feldspar~
Feldspar moved forward, shuffling the pups into rooms. A few students from upstairs had ventured down, peeking around the staircases, trying to get a look at the new pups. He shot them a look and the patter of footsteps told him they had retreated back upstairs. He spoke to the pups gathered in the hallway. "You", he said pointing to the brown-haired girl and then the orange-haired one, "you'll be in here", he swept his arm to the door on his right. "You" he said tho the boy, "across the hall. And you" he said to the quiet one with braids, "Next door here. You'll find clothes in the closets and drawers, towels on the racks in the bathrooms inside. They're temporary rooms, so nothing too fancy." He chuckled, knowing that Alistair spared no expense on any of the rooms, even the temporary living quarters.
Emily and Richard were at the end of the hall speaking. The grizzled professor took one parting glance at the group of wide-eyed first-years. "Make yourself at home." he said, "Goodnight". He waved his hand as he turned around."We can go now, they'll be fine."Feldspar stepped down the hallway, ready to be out of the dorm. He crossed past Emily and Richard and continued out the ornately carven wood door of the hall. The night air felt good, cool but not cold. He was still shirtless, and his hair still stuck out in different directions from his earlier run. He pushed his hand through it, trying to smooth it down. The last couple years had been tough. Young werewolves had come quickly, many with tragic pasts and little to no self control. Richard had taught many of them to control their first form well enough to function, but most of them were still undisciplined. They'd had deaths, quite a few, many more than Victor remembered from his time at Blackthorn. The technology of the future, cars, steamliners, airships, guns; the world was moving too fast these days, if the Hunts were ever to start again.... He let the thought die. Alistair wouldn't let that happen.
He stood quietly, listening to the owls in the trees exchange conversation, waiting for the other two to emerge.

Miss Emily
Victor moved swiftly past Emily and Richard, breaking Emily from her day-dream. She blinked and shook her head. She looked to the closing door Victor had just gone through.
"Well, he's in a hurry!" She looks up to Richard. "Shall we join him?"
She takes one last look at the students still daring to peer their nosy faces down the hallway before she turns to leave. Maybe one of them will be in one of her classes? Oh, how she had been praying for the strength and the courage to take charge of these little ones, whom she expected to be wily and daring--which, of course, they seemed to be.
"Richard..." she started nervously as she tucked her hand in his arm. "Do you think I made a bad impression out there? Making such a large fuss?"

яιcнαяd >> Professor of the Shape-shifting 101 <<>>> Partner in Crime; Feldspar, Students. Emily <<<____________________ ╰☆╮ ____________________ Evelyn saw two teachers that she did not recognize and Doc over there was all over a rather pretty young lady. Well, she didn’t look that old but seeing her clothes… Oh well. Evelyn peered at the girl she was bunked with. “Hey,” she said simply, trying to at least to be friendly. But as soon as the older teacher showed her their room, she was instantly tired. The trip here was not nice. She grabbed her bags and walked into the room that was given to them for the time being. As soon as she was in, Evelyn whistled softly, these were temporary living quarters? “Very nice,” she commented lightly, shaking her head. This was crazy.
Richard listened to Emily, his grin growing wider at her excitement. “Sounds wonderful, maybe I shall go see it for myself!” He heard Feldspar’s voice in his head, ” Aye cap’n!” He released Emily’s hands and offered his arm,”Let’s go join in with Feldspar, I’m not sure about you, but I want to catch up… It has been a terribly long time.” He started to walk, opening the doors and exiting into the open night air, taking a deep whiff. The fresh air, which was cologne with the scent of plants and animals were so relaxing and for the first time in a long time, he felt free. He heard her question and frowned,”You were just showing you cared… I’ll admit, Feldspar and I were being a bit uncaring, we should have had her in a building right away.”It was a bit true, but it was a bit stressful.
Some of these kids never saw other werewolves and the natural urge to fight would come out. He bloodied up another male the first day he came here. He was so wild, and still so upset about his sister’s death.
They caught up with Feldspar and Richard looked at his friend, smiling at him. ”Wasn’t half bad tonight… eh?” He slightly shivered as the urge to change into a more natural form and run through the forest started to feel tempting. The air was fresh, so clean and so beckoning, unlike the South Carolina air that he had been living in.

Emily felt the all too familiar shudder that rippled through Richard's body. She patted his arm, half comfortingly, half nonchalantly. "I suppose it wasn't. Though I thought there would have been more... Well, perhaps more will flood in later on in the year."
She looked at Victor. "I will have your shirt washed. You were most kind to offer it to the young one, but it has the smell of her on it." Emily quickly detected the usual argument about to come from both of the gentlemen: But the smell will stay long after you wash it. She waved a finger in the air. "Ah, ah, ah. In my travels, there was a tribe in India who believed the same thing, until they created this magical concoction! Any strange scent will be wiped away in two washes, easily! Peppermint and rosewater...who would have guessed?"
She began walking and talking, almost as if taking charge of the group. She was leading them toward the center of the campus, close to the Forum. She was mainly talking about the werewolf tribe from India and reminiscing, yet again. "Oh, you two must come to my apartments! They are quite nice apartments too--Alistair has nothing against spoiling his women!" She blushed a little at this statement, having it come out wrong. "At any rate, I have been baking all day with my chef--that's why I was late to meet the pups! I was baking for the first day of classes. And I need taste testers. So, won't you? Oh, do come up and have tea with me?"
She turned large brown eyes up to both Richard and Victor, relying on her womanly wiles to get what she wanted.

Aspen turned to the girl she'd been bunked with, responding with a smile. "Hey". She pulled down the curved handle of the door down and pushed it open. The room inside was pretty dark, even with the moonlight spilling through the window. Asp continued inside and clicked a small steel switch to the right of the door. Several lights in the room blazed to life, filling the room with clean white light.
Two queen sized beds jutted from the opposite walls. The dark mahogany head and footboards featured spires that suspended richly woven canopies in blue, white and silver. The silver continued into the wood, taking the form of delicate filigree, occasionally taking the shape of a cluster of stars.
Another "Wow" came out of her mouth. She turned around once again, absorbing the rest of the room. The walls were a lovely gradient, with a deep midnight blue on the ceiling fading to rich cerulean at the floor. The rest of the furniture in the room was the same dark mahogany as the bedframes, and with the same filigree.
"So, you wanna claim a bed?" she asked the orange-haired girl with a grin.

[[Quick Update Guys~ Just so you know, food is served in the back Hall of each dorm, cooked fresh daily by some returning/staying culinary students. The Outfitters also has food, mostly dried stuff and cooking supplies. For now, you are all staying in temp rooms in Lunare (the Moon dorm). Tomorrow morning, you will be assigned your room. Those of you who want to create multiple characters should get on it. (lol, me too sweatdrop ). Thanks! ~hoofandsnort]]

♰ Professor Victor Feldspar~
"Thanks Emily" the old werewolf replied, softening for a moment. He slicked his hair back again, trying to avoid her pitiful gaze. He shot Richard a look. "Well...lemme get a shirt and...maybe..." He was hungry, and had been living on a hard diet lately, mostly deer. Inwardly, he was a little worried. The new pups coming in were more volatile than they ever seemed in the past. The one female had anger issues, but the other two seemed fine. But what of others to come? What will become of these kids?
He shook the question from his mind and smiled as much as he could. "I'll come along"

Richard to listened silently Emily’s reminiscing, glad she had enjoyed her trip. So, not only did she go to Australia, but India as well. He wondered what other grand places she went to as well. He figured he would learn soon enough, Emily while they had tea, would most likely start sharing stories again. He didn’t mind, it gave them all a chance to catch up. Richard glanced up at Feldspar, he wondered, had he stayed here? Or did he go his own way as well? Richard shrugged mentally; once again, they were all bound to find out.
He figured he could get his run later, maybe after the three friends visit. The blond suddenly realized how much he missed his wolf form. In South Carolina, he only changed when the full moon came to them and it would be a short run. It was similar to after learning what and how to control what he was; he didn’t want to have the lifestyle prominent in his life. This was most likely because he was living in a town full of humans – life became rather lonely for this werewolf, no others seemed to come near this place – and he almost got rather close with this young lady that was a daughter to one of the Lords. That was, until he got the letter and it was surprising how fast he packed and left without a word.
Realizing he was lost in his thoughts, Richard finally returned to the conversation between the three. He had missed half of what Emily said, but when she asked to be taste testers he immediately knew they were being invited – no commanded – to have tea and treats. Richard laughed softly, “Of course, we would love to.” He would fall victim under Emily’s demands, her cooking has not killed him, yet. He shook his head at his own joke, Emily’s cooking was wonderful, and he could not describe it any other way.
Richard peered up at Feldspar, and all it took was the bond between the two friends to realize he was slightly worrying. Richard felt the same way, what was the generation of werewolves like these days? Already, one had succumbed to anger in less than being here for two hours. The blonde sighed before glancing back at Emily and smiling, “Lead the way, dear!”

Emily smiles broadly. "Good." She leads the two men across the campus to the North Dormitories. She continues to talk about India--it seems to have been a favorite of hers. She seems to ignore much of the unease about Richard and Victor, opting to distract them with conversation.
Once inside the North Dormitories, she leads them several flights up a stone staircase. "I've just moved into the apartments Alistair has given me--oh, he sure has spoiled me. Then again, does he not spoil all who come to serve him?" She was slightly winded, having to walk up the staircase while lifting her long skirts--something she had grown unaccustomed to. But she was glad of it. She had been unable to wear the clothes she wanted to or do the things she liked without drawing attention to herself for a long while. Living in human settlements, she was forced to take on identities that were not herself. They were the identities of the natives of the different areas she visited, varying from biker thug to business woman to live-in babysitter. It was nice to have some breathing room now.
At the top of the staircase, there was a long hallway, with several wooden doors at marked intervals. Emily turned to Victor. "Will you want to go to your apartments to get a shirt, or would you like to wear something I have? I'm fairly certain I have some sort of shirt that will fit you. It may not be your style--" she stifles a giggle as she pictures Victor in a leather vest and leather chaps with a handlebar mustache "--but it will cover you."

{ The Troublemaker }{Subject of my masterpiece; Aspen. }╔══════════════╗ The room was beautiful and despite being in a totally alien place, Evelyn found she was calm and relaxed. She loved the colors that were placed in the room; it achieved the perfect mood and affect, and the furniture was an eye-pleaser. “They’re stashed here.” She commented lightly, wondering how much it would have to make this room, nevertheless make all the temporary rooms and the rooms they would be living in.
The brunette she was bunked in seemed nice enough, and Evelyn thought she was rather pretty. When the girl offered her to pick a bed, Evelyn glanced about. There was one closer to the door, then one closer to the window. Evelyn liked her sleep, so she went with the one near the door. She could easily sleep through noise, but with the stupid sun shining all its glory in her face? She had yet to get immune to that.
“I’ll take this one – if it is not a problem,” She said softly, picking up her bags and setting them on the bed. Her bags were light, only holding some extra clothes, money, art stuff and some of her favorite things. She yawned, stretching and then running a hand through her wild hair, getting here was exhausting.
Turning and looking at the other girl, Evelyn leaned against one of the bed posts, “My name is Evelyn, Evelyn Rose.” She even offered her hand, a small smile on her face. “Where did you come from?” ╚══════════════╝ You ⓒⓞⓜⓟⓛⓘⓐⓝ that I don't care; I say you ⓒⓐⓡⓔ too much!
