Lamen nodded, somewhat relieved that the perpetrators were probably not very closely involved with Adriel nowadays. Though the story was somewhat frightening... And if he had been frozen before, she couldn't help but think sarcastically about the fact that this man preferred to remain bare chested in the middle of Winter.
She wanted to ask if he had any memories from before he met his Sensei, but it wouldn't really be polite, so she left it for some other time.

"Well... I only came across your... brother?" She inquired, and then continued: "-because those pills of his don't really cure him of his unnatural needs. He nearly killed a man not too long ago, and if he was ever discovered by just any random passerby, he would be thrown into jail immediately and perhaps recuperated by those who messed with his genes. This is not even the worst case scenario.
So, since drugs don't really solve the problem- why not try tackling it from a different angle? I mean, genetics is at the core of your unwanted properties, and I have just the means to find out how to fix it again. If you let me help you, I can probably reverse the process entirely from a cellular level given enough time, knowledge and resources. The resources and time are a given, but the knowledge I lack... lies in you."

Daniel raised an eyebrow and turned to Adriel, who had been trying to signal Lamen to shut up, but quickly put his hands down before the maroon eyes of his brother's landed on him. ".....You...tried to kill someone...."

"Eh heh...."

Daniel stood up. "Hartless, we have gone over this! You are not suppose to go after people anymore! That makes what? 12?!"

"14..."

"Augh!" Daniel threw his hands up. "What the hell? There is a reason why you are supply with blood bags! I know you get urges for fresh blood, but you promise Santiago you will try your best to keep away from killing again!"

"I am sorry, I know I did, but its not like its something I can control. Besides I only killed one person and the second one survive because of Lamen, taking in count I been unsupervised for over two years here, I think you can give me a little credit."

"YOU KILLED SOMEONE!" Daniel hissed. "And attempted to kill a second. I don't care who you think you are, you are not above human law! You are not invincible! You even got caught! I don't care if you can make each murder pass like some hiker that didn't know what they were going against in nature! I don't care if they were murderers themselves or rapists or whatever! I care that if you get caught you will probably be in jail the rest of your miserable life or worse!" The teenager's had his hands ball up into fists. "I should...I should.....Augh!" He dropped back into his seat, resting his hands over his face.

Adriel sighed softly under his breath and watched him closely. "....I am sorry...."

Daniel really wanted to hit his brother, but after a deep breath, he calmed himself enough to look over to Lamen. "I'll tell you all I know, but my knowledge is limited to what I was told." He rubbed the back of his head. "Santiago is due to visit us in a week tho, he probably will do better in filling you in."

Hearing about Adriel's crimes made Lamen pale in horror. If she had not been determined to trust the man she would probably not come out of wondering rather stupidly when her own life would be in danger.
However, Lock's apology made things better. The fact that he needed to get "whipped" by Daniel for it to happen did not.

"I see." Lamen nodded, appreciating Daniel for his helpfulness. "Thanks- I'd appreciate that."

Daniel nodded slowly. "Exactly what do you need to know? I'll tell you what I can, but if I can't asnwer, then you'll have to wait until Santiago comes."

Adriel nodded in agreement, maybe by then he would be on the other side of Zatoa. He was not sticking out to see what Santiago did of him if he found out he killed someone.

"Well... details about Lock's condition that I don't know and anything that could give me a hint to how this all came to be. Anything would be helpful, really." Finding that asking Daniel for information about the guy sitting right next to him was a little out of the ordinary, Lamen switched her focus to Adriel. "I would actually like a detailed record of all of the symptoms or abnormalities that you experience, as well as a sample of each of your drugs. It would greatly increase my understanding... well... also, I might need to do a thorough biological analysis. Even if Mr. Santiago already has similar data, after all these years things will have changed for sure. As a matter of fact, I would like to monitor you over time to pinpoint any additional changes arise from your condition and track your biological fluctuations so as to have an understanding of how your system works- among other things, this will allow us to predict when your bloodlust is triggered, why and how it is triggered, how it culminates, and how it can be prevented or tended to before it gets worse.
Basically, I'm talking regular checkups here, though I believe it would be best if I could cooperate with Mr. Santiago."

By the time Lamen stop speaking, Adriel looked like he was two steps away from attempting teleportation. Of course, that was ridicules, so he was just going through plans of just plainly leaving Zatao until he got a look from Daniel. He rose to his feet and gave a very weak smile. "I still have an migraine, so why don you two speak with each other and I think I'll go lay down...somewhere...and..." He seemed to lose his words as he tried to think straight and figure out how he ended up with Lamen being his official, without other better word that could come to mind, doctor.

Daniel smiled and nodded. "I'll do my best to answer." He looked at Adriel then back at Lamen. "I think he still in shock....is there a bed he can lay down on?"

Lamen made a face that meant "Oops. Didn't mean to do that again."
She obviously had to get better at talking with Adriel.
"There is a guest room upstairs that you can use. Second door to the right." She said, her voice apologetic.
Daniel looked younger than Lock, and yet so far he acted much like a caretaker. "I think I might have shocked him again..." She spoke guiltily, and then swallowed, getting ready to take down this information and glancing towards Donut (now hovering behind her) for his help.
"Alright then... please do." She said, this time with more certainty.

Adriel nodded and went to the guest room, almost collapsing on the bed, but managing to take his coat off before laying down. He gave a low groan and hid his head under a pillow. It took a couple of minutes of meditation, but eventually he lull to sleep.

---

Daniel watched after his brother for a moment before turning to Lamen. If she thought he was being more mature about this then Adriel, she was forgetting that he was not the one that carried pokemon genes.

"Hmm....let see....Well....you know about the genes and the blood carving." Daniel tapped the side of his head. "Well...you can see that he, physically, is abnormal. Not only because of his light skin that is only shade away from albino or his white hair." The teenager's mouth twitched at a certain thought that ran right through his head as he recalled Lumin saying something about check ups. "but he is also has a height above average. That's not it, his eyes change color at a high speed. The two most common colors are blue and purple and for what we know, purple only appears when he is near psychics. He also has some degree of night vision. Higher resistance to cold and hot weathers.

Without some of pills that he takes, he would have a harder time digesting most of the foods that humans normally eat. He has acuter senses. I am guessing that you know that he can reflect psychic attacks from pokemons, since your deoxyz choose to speak with me instead of him." He scratched hsi head again. "....Show him a fighting move twice and he will be able to repeat it with little flaws...and perfecting it doesn't take him long either, even less now. They told me when he was younger it took him much longer, but it was still pretty fast for a kid."

"Hmmm...he doesn't have the scent a human would....and if he doesn't take the black pill, he gives out a scent we can't smell but pokemon can. And...well...you can guess what it does." He chuckled softly. "Hmmm...I know that there was some attempts earlier in his life to correct what was done to him, but he was too old then to be fixed, which is why they turned to medicine. ....What else could I tell you? He tends to sleep the mornings off and be active in the afternoon and night. He can approach a wild pokemon without much trouble and I am sure that he licks he wounds before actually curing like a human. He goes nuts when he stays inside a house to long and finds it difficult to sleep on mattress...he rarely gets sick, but when he does, he is bedridden for weeks."

All of this was once again unnerving, but it was to be expected. Lamen was recording this all on her pokedex, as she couldn't possibly hope to remember it all after hearing it only once. It appeared that Lock had mostly gained pokemon-like characteristics and lost human characteristics in exchange.
It was incredible. Incredible, but wrong.

"Thank you, Daniel." A good hour had passed now- Lock was probably asleep. The young trainer stuffed the pokedex in her pocket and finally gave an uncertain smile (not knowing whether it was polite or not). "So, wanna go check on Lock and then get a tour of the lab downstairs? Oh, and it's a secret lab, so... no telling anyone. Man, I feel like one of those mad scientists in children's shows- um, which I am not, of course." She chuckled weakly, perhaps not quite reassuringly. The pale-colored Haunter making wide faces right besides hers wasn't helping.

Daniel nodded, feeling somehow a little relieve after giving the information away. He figure it was because he no longer was hiding something from Adriel. "Indeed, that would be great...just don't say anything about mad scientists in front of Adriel....he's has an acute hatred of hospitals and most doctors, at least the human kind."

Rising from his seat, he fixed his clothes. "And knowing Adriel, he is probably meditating rather then sleeping." He pocketed his hands. "Unless he's been doing one of his projects, then he probably passed out the moment he hit the bed."

Taking the small trip down to the guest room, Daniel first knocked and waited, when no respond came, he open the door and looked in. "Adriel?"

"Hi Daniel, didn't heard you knock." The tall healer was sitting on the bed, legs crossed, eyes staring blankly at the wall. "This section of the wall has the most intriguing design."

"Its a blank wall.....are you high?"

"My pockets were empty, just what do you think I could be high on?"

"I don't know...knowing you, you probably made a comparment of kinds in one of your boots."

"I did, but it holds a switch blade and some pocket money."

"........You are weird."

"Weirder then I thought, it seems." The healer gave a quirky smile as he rose from the bed, slipping his feet back into his boots. "Did you two had a nice talk?"

"Yeah, we are going to take a small tour of the place, think you are stable enough to come?" Daniel chuckled.

"I suppose it won't kill me." Adriel looked over to Lamen. "or will it?"

"Hospitals and doctors?" She couldn't help but wonder whether he'd relate what she did to those. She wasn't a doctor, that was for sure. She couldn't do much about fixing up injuries or diagnose illnesses; All what she did was at a chemical and molecular level, to figure out through DNA and one's chemical processes the problems that are present in the body, and possible ways to fix them. Except she WOULD be taking physical information in the usual way, with checkups... that was the most basic of basics, right? Differences could definitely manifest at a macroscopic scale, and how the patient's body is behaving and how they feel is an important indicator of their condition that could also help pinpoint the problem.
If he was going to complain about THAT... Damn, worst patient EVER. Uh, good thing he can't read minds as far as his psychic abilities go. ...I think. Right.

By the time she was done with her internal debate, the brothers had finished sharing some distinctly worrying idle chatter about hidden switchblades. Tired of all of this already, the trainer shrugged it off as the usual crazy that happens in her life and figured she would start the tour.

"I don't think there is anything in this house that could kill you except for any dangerously sharp objects you may have brought in on your own accord. Just make sure Donut doesn't find it."
Just as she was saying that, the Haunter was halfway emerged through the floor, a disconnected hand reaching towards Adriel's foot. He paused, seeing the eyes on him, and cackled before disappearing once again.
"... Okay. Follow me, then."
On that note, she made way for the basement.

Adriel shrugged. " Right, like I haven't been stabbed by a ghost pokemon before..." He murmured to himself before following after Lamen, he arched eyebrow as they went down to the basement. What kind of tour of a house started in the basement?

Daniel followed after them, more out of curiosity then anything.

User Image"Um... truthfully, I just wanted to show off the lab that I set up and show you how to get in. I mean, the rest of the house is pretty boring right now."

Lamen walked down to the door to the basement, which didn't have any mechanisms. The door at the bottom of the stairs, however... was not only made of metal, but there was a safe (coffer) adjacent to it in the wall. "Safes are usually to contain, say, documents or something, but not this one. Here." Handing Adriel a key, Lamen used an identical key to open the safe, revealing that rather than a hollow space inside, there was just a set of keys- a little grid of buttons, like the numbers on a phone. She typed in 9001 and something went KACHAK very loudly, followed by a smaller click.

After closing the safe, Lamen finally opened the door, revealing a... large Haunter face who promptly proceeded to sticking out its tongue. "And... there we go! The lights in there are motion sensitive, so you just need to step in for them to turn on. After you!" She smiled naturally, completely ignoring Donut.

At the word 'lab', Adriel alerady seemed ready to get out, but none the less, he gave a polite smile as he is hanged over a key. Pocketing it, he made to turn around and run when Lamen was paying no attention to him, but a look for Dan made him turn right about, just in time to spy the code that was being enter into the keypad.

He blinked a couple of times at the haunter and sighed as he stepped into the room.

User ImageThe lights turned on automatically, as promised- it was a clean, well-lighted basement, a little cold and with the scent of disinfectant. A fridge hummed lowly, and there were two white counters, two sinks and some equipment- the microscope Adriel would probably recognize, but a lot of the other stuff [thermocycler, DNA sequencing machine...] wasn't something you'd see in your basic biology course in school.
That all seemed lab-like so far.
But not the walls. The walls probably used to be white- before getting covered in big, colorful and childish crayon doodles on every single inch of it, that is. There were even a few shiny stickers of pokemon here and there.

"I don't know what crazy bunch of kids got in here in the past, but it was pretty impressive so I kept it." She grinned, and noticed that Adriel looked nervous. "Are you okay?" She asked, hoping that he wasn't about to break down again.
