Which I understand. Dole is kind of the dreamer, but he's very soft-spoken and friendly to all. It might do him good to get a little "wake-up" call, so to speak, and realize that not everyone he meets will be nice and kind towards him, y'know? xD

If he pops up on the jungle part of the Aikanaro border...well, she'll be forced to tell him to go bugger off. (Though she's gotten 'nicer' over the seasons.) Future plots? Not that I can think of. Unless you want them to meet again in the future.
