Personality: James is a fairly quiet, reserved student who doesn't enjoy spending time in crowds if he can avoid it. If he can manage, he'll spend most of his time in the back corner, appearing to be completely zoned out and not saying a word. However, he does pay attention to almost everything in his classes, even if he is sketching as opposed to taking notes. He is good at drawing, spending most of his free time with his nose in his sketchbook. He can be easily annoyed if disturbed when he's trying to concentrate on something, whether it's studying, drawing, or playing music. He's learning to play the piano, and is fairly good, but by no means an expert.

He is a very loyal person, and can become fairly talkative if he is with someone he is comfortable around. He is skilled with his powers after his years of training, although he is not one to flaunt them unless he's in a particularly good mood. He is more into 'dark' things as he finds them stereotypical, and a good way to make people avoid him more with, which he doesn't mind most of the time.

History: James grew up in the slums of New York, although he was born in LA. He was the result of a one night stand between his father, whom his mother never knew the name of to begin with, and his mother did her best to take care of him for the first few years of his life. When he was four, she spirited him across the country to try and hide from her abusive boyfriend, who was beginning to take out his frustrations on James as well as her. For the next three years he lived in the small cramped apartment with his mother, who spent a majority of time at work while he spent his at a daycare center, and eventually school.

Even when he was young, he was always off in the corner, talking with himself. Sometimes the teachers would swear that they had seen some little ball of light following him around from time to time. They didn't think anything of it, until he was in the third day when the 'ball of light' took the shape of a woman that manifested herself in the middle of one of his classes. Scared and confused, James was moved to another class, no one really knowing what was going on. After a few years, he lost interest in school and his 'peers,' who gave him a wide berth.

As he approached middle school, his mother's boyfriend found them, attacking his mother while they were walking home from his mother's office, where she was a receptionist. The spirit entered a corpse in the alley, responding to James' tears and subconscious desires, rising up and killing the man. His mother ended up in the hospital for several weeks recovering, while the police believed that the homeless man had tried to help them, then suffered a heart attack. However, James was quickly found by the magical community, explaining to him and his mother what he was, and what he could do. Spending the rest of his middle school life with his mother, but under the semi-constant watch of several others to avoid him losing control of his powers, he said 'good-bye' just before high school, coming to the fountain academy to learn how to control his powers, with the hope he wouldn't have to kill again.

Powers: James is a necromancer, meaning he has power over the dead. However, he does not do it the 'normal' way that most with his powers find it. 24 hours a day, he is surrounded by invisible balls of light, roughly the size of golf balls. He can make them visible if he wants to, and if he focuses particularly hard on his powers they become visible automatically. He is occasionally referred to as 'The Reaper' due to this unfortunate ability.

That, and a long scythe he keeps in his room. He can use the scythe somewhat like a sorcerer's staff to channel his powers and focus them more. Back on subject, he controls the bodies of the dead by sending the souls into a the bodies, using them to control the decaying or deceased. This includes the undead, and he can concentrate as many souls as he needs to into a specific body so he is able to manipulate it better. While he does require a body to be present, he finds that, in most places, if he sends the souls into the ground far enough he can usually find something that's dead.

He cannot resurrect the dead using this ability, however he is capable of conversing with one or more of the souls if he needs to. Either as a ball of light, by having them taking on a more humanoid shape, or by sending them into a body and allowing them to speak through that.

Strengths: James is fair on the piano, and an excellent artist, spending much of his free time sketching. The later is natural talent, and he has been taking lessons on the former, mostly on an old keyboard. He is very agile, his thin form making him ill-suited for brute strength but making him quite adept at dodging and speed. He is fairly skilled with using his scythe-staff as a weapon if he needs to. He is particularly good at multi-tasking, able to concentrate better while doing two or more things at the same time than he is at just doing one.

Weaknesses: James is quietly terrified of the extent of his abilities, rarely using them to their full extent unless he absolutely has to. He gets no rush from controlling the dead, or undead as the case may be, and is loath to do it for anything more than a last resort. He isn't particularly strong, and can easily be overpowered with the right amount of force.

The scythe is about six feet in length. Down the center of the silver blade runs a crimson line. At the back of the blade is a circle with silver cross in the center. Extending about a few inches behind that is a much smaller blade. Extending below the cross is the wooden shaft of the scythe. It has an unusual purple color, and the blade's name is carved in a spiral down the side in glowing characters. The bottom of the staff is sharpened to a fine point. The blade of the scythe extends about two and a half feet off the staff.

Extra: He's rather shy about his drawings, preferring not to show them to anyone if he can help it, although he's probably drawn just about everyone he's ever seen at some point or another. He's on notebook number 7 since he's joined the school, the other six hidden in a box in his room.

Personality: He is so happy-go-lucky that people just cannot comprehend. Even if he is surrounded by twenty veteran mages, he just smiles and fights. He is not so easily agitated, he would be annoyed which will resort him using a silencing spell. He can be a bit of a pervert but he is learning how to control himself these days.
History: Born from two renown mages from two ends of the world, Kan-Shin was exposed to all kinds of magic. As soon as he could start reading various languages, he read through all kinds of books ranging from Eastern Chi-based magic to Western Will-based magic.
Powers: Although he is well-versed in magic. He has an almost unnatural sense of reflex, which allows him to complete his spells uninterrupted. Plus he has almost complete control over his Chi which gives him extremely strong stability in his spells.
Strengths: Any information relating to the body or magic, he absorbs like a sponge and does not easily forget. His eyesight is also 20/20 so he takes advantage of this and photographically memorize the movements of the spell as well. Also being flexible to his environment, he uses his creativity more than his sister.
Weaknesses: This is part also shows how pathetic he is. First off, he may be in control of his hormones more than before but a sight of cleavage can distract him from conjuring his stronger spell. Because of that he will use weak spell and would be liable to grope if possible. The smell and taste of wasabi, for a prolonged period of time, is enough to make him dizzy. He accidentally poured a whole tortilla chip of it, mistaking it for guacamole.

Extra:He can practically eat anything spicy, except wasabi. He has good relation with his sister, since she supports him while he encourages her.

Extra: She has a huge crush on Kan-Shin, but with a bit of courage Kan-Shin agreed to take her under his wing.

Personality: Perverted, considerate, confused but doesn't show it, and loves to take chances.
Powers: For some reason, he's very well-rounded on the powers. He's able to create ice from thin air and fire when he's passionate. He's lightning fast and able to make any nature around him die. His eyes have recently gone ageless, although his persona has been affected only slightly. It's almost as if he's a vampire in a human's body.
Appearance: Dark, fluffy hair at a lengthy but reasonable length. Fair skinned, light green eyes with recently acquired gold specks that seem to reflect in the light. 5'11 with a lean, shaped body. Walks in feline purpose and has a confidence that shines brighter than his eyes.
Extra: He is Dymetri's reincarnation.

Personality: Poopsie is, in essence, what Danni is in her soul. He's very feminine, with a high voice, and all innocence. He has a passion for overalls and bare feet, and is very clingy and sensitive. Because of this, he terrifies Danni to no end.

Powers: His emotions mirror those of whatever Danni is feeling, if those feelings are strong enough. He's completely in tune with her.

Extra: He won't answer to 'Spawn' or 'Spawn Man', though Danni desperately wishes he would. He love his own name, God knows why.

History: Dai had been the life of the party her whole life, one of the popular girls in her old school her human school until it went all wrong and she shifted in front of them. Even though her mother tried to keep a watchful eye on her at all time, knowing that maybe one day her daughter would develop powers like her father. Ending up developing them, she shifted when angry, at her boyfriend at the time, in front of her friends into a tiger. Her father had left before she was born and so there was no one to help, until they heard of the school which had abnormal in it just like her. Her mother didn't know what else to do other than send her daughter away to live on her own and attend the school, until she had at least control over her shifting.

Personality: Dwarves are not known for being particularly friendly. They're rough, tough, violent, temperamental and with all that perpetuating about in their small tribes, they're awfully stubborn too. It may be hard to see at first, especially if you've nothing to compare, but Düthmér is far from a true dwarf. His unwavering irritability manages to hide his intelligence and give the illusion of all brawn, no brain. A being of detail and analysis, you can be sure that Düthmér is always studying a situation with care regardless of how careless he seems. Adept in rocks and mining, it's impressive to watch him at work, jotting notes, making measurements, sketching blueprints, carving stone; he handles it all with such surprising grace and care. There is a similar yet hidden finesse in how he analyzes his surroundings.

Düthmér's outer shell, his wall of sorts, is flawed and bitter, but not unbreakable. There is a pinch of compassion floating around behind it, rarely coming out. So when it does, you'd better cherish it. Otherwise, Düthmér is a big old grump, testy and irritable. He seems to have trouble with, or flat out does not want close relationships and keeps to himself. If left alone, Düthmér is quiet and harmless, if chatted with longer than he can tolerate, there's a guarantee he'll snap at you and take a swing.

There's an apparent lack of social skills, not only with talking, but in overall body language; the dwarf rarely, if ever smiles, laughs, or relaxes. A constantly tense, furrowed brow gives him a permanently angered expression. It's unknown if he really is just angry all the time, or what his deal is, but it's best to watch out. This socially inept sack of grump can take some time to know and understand, but once you do (if you do), you'll certainly have a loyal... companion, of sorts, and may be lucky enough to see that pinch of compassion.

History: Düthmér, like most dwarves spent the first fifteen years of his life underground learning of their culture and history as well as helping in the safer areas of the mine. On the day of his sixteenth birthday, he was presented with food, money and the ritual of ten years on the surface world, meant to give insight to the human culture and those of the other magical races as well. Having stumbled upon Mystic Fountain, he settled down as it seemed the best place to meet many races.

Powers: Düthmér has learned of a few secret dwarf spells, powerful and fantastic, though he is loath to use them. More often he will use general magic and alchemy. He has a latent ability of technomancy. He can look at parts and more than likely make something out of it.

Strengths: Anything to do with rocks, mining, machines or weapons. Extremely skilled with an axe and a hammer.

Weaknesses: Elves pose as an annoyance, though he will tolerate them if it suits his goal.

Appearance: Standing just about 5 foot 3, Düthmér isn't the tallest of people, but is still fairly normal sized.

Extra: He has a set of enchanted weapons, kept miniture on his key chain, they grow to their normal size when he calls or thinks their name, though he has to put magic into it to make it work. The glyph round his neck ensured that no one can scry his position or read his mind.

Occupation: Student

Personality: Quentin has always been the laidback kind of guy. He doesn't say much, only sticking to the necessary things. Inside of him resides a heart of gold behind that cold, shy behavior. The boy's very reliable, loyal, serious and strong willed. He's a master of crafts, always making things with his hands especially when he's nervous. His movements are a bit sloppy, a bit clumsy even but he keeps up with high stamina and spell casting. He's also an incredible flute player and knows his way around special potions to keep yourself healthy !

History: Unlike most could tell, Quentin may be over a hundred years old, he didn't actually live most of them ! As soon as he was born, his parents charmed him to transform into a tree... Yes a tree ! He began as a small sprout, protected by his parental cocoon. Quentin was a willow, a symbol of healing. A bit ironic yet so true. His growth happened over a small lake somewhere in Asia. It was a quite early lesson, to which his roots extended to the ground, pumping the nutriments and water he needed. He was connected deep into the Earth.

What pulled him out of his slumber ? Industry. The ever growing race for development, energy. His people fled the grove to settle for more European lands, his parents finally freed him from his spell and Quentin tackled the new world. His appearance didn't pass for over 10 years old at the time. He was curious of the growing metropolis. The metal cities. His parents watched stray away from his nature to join humankind. Quentin managed to live on his own in Tuscany, Italy; working at a vineyard. He learned the customs, he grew as a boy in a peasant family. The humans, of course, had been charmed.

Quentin was curious of the magical world. There were others of course. Many more races, many more knowledge to gather ! When you've spent over a century trapped as a tree, you'd have to be curious and about. So that's how he decided to join Mystic Fountain HS; through the help of Hadryades, wood and plant nymphs, and sprites of course.
Powers: - Elemental (Earth), White and Neutral Magic, it seems that sunlight can be turned into an energy blast of some sort but Quentin isn't very fond of attacking.
- Illusions (That's what makes you from seeing his wings and vinelaces skin !)

Strengths: Quentin is a studious kind of guy. Spending so many years stuck in a tree has affined his senses of memory, self-consciousness and observation. As previously mentionned, he's strong-willed and can help you in a pinch with his numerous vials. When turning off his camouflage, revealing his wings will allow him to glide for a certain time around or hover above ground.
Weaknesses: He's shy but also not that athletic. You see, Quentin depends a bit on people, although he won't admit it to himself. Being a woodland creature, charming and having control over the earth is a soft-hearted kind of thing so he'll be more of defense and support kind of guy than an offense. You'd think he'd be enduring after spending a century stuck in tree form but he's a bit slow on reflexes. Fire and darkness has been known to creep him a bit, as well as confined space away from any source of sunlight.
Appearance: Quentin looks like an average nearly adult man I guess. Except he's got that ''woodland'' nature mysterious vibe around him, behind that green-and-silver glass-framed stare. That ''charm'' and aura that makes you want to approach him at a steady yet fearful pace. He tries to keep the most human-like behavior around him, but the truth is... He hides pale-violet wings, a huge cross of delicate and fragile membrane that allows him, not to fly, but at least hover, soar and glide for quite a bit. Not the kind of things that could take you far away for thousands of miles. His skin is not the pale golden hue you see but really an olive sickly green. Not only that but some runes and archaic vines of symbols and spirals circle his entire back and chest of a dark brown and luscious green color. His hands appear fragile and delicate, but under the veil of illusion they are also long, slender fingers with petal-like nails. Did I forget the pointy ears ? About his left one that is ringed with three earrings, two silvers and a small golden one ? Let's not forget the huge gothic dragon weave armor ring on his right hand. That would make him some sort of nerdy goth emo boy... No ?

Other Information: What is the difference between a Wood Elf and a Fae ? They have been often believed to be elemental spirit, kind and gentle. Demoted angels perhaps ? A form of nymphs and creatures that protect nature as the satyrs of Greek and Roman mythology do ? They are also known to kidnap babies and children, to charm kids that wander in forest to devour them later. One thing for sure, they are full of malice and mischief as well as a strange wise species. They are pictured with wings, magical powers over nature and strange colored skin. They live in forests, valleys, pastures... Wood elves and faeries are mostly the same kind of race, although physical characteristics and powers are different. *more information on that later*
