Quote: Now see, I liked how I could avoid a fight if need be. After all, if I was about to die in a hard part, it's nice to be able to run away and avoid being decimated... then have to go back ALL the way to the last save point. Though, Dark Cloud wasn't one where you could easily run from enemies, seeing as how you had to kill a certain enemy on each floor of the dungeon to get a key- except you don't know which enemy it is. x_x yeah that may be true but still in final fantasy ten there was a brace that you could get that would make you invisible to enimie attack thats what i used to get back if i was in danger. plus eaiser to get through dungeons.

UltimateJET i like final fantasy III choosing your class and starting again thinking what if i choose all this class... I agree after 11-13 are just jokes I even HATE! spin offs of final fantasy 7 Advent Children Dirge of Cerebus ENOUGH IS ENOUGH you can't keep stretching it and scretching it Crisis Core, Before Crisis, and who knows what's coming out next for it. :] Some rumors state that we can expect an Endless Crisis. O:

Nephilimalch POLAR WIND i havntplayed alot of them, but my favorite would be dirge of cerberus,i loved the detail, and the way you got to customive your gun with barrles and magicka,it was amazing, the two final songs were amazing too the were longing and redemption by gack. I too enjoyed the music by Gackt, but I have to wonder where Nobou Eumetsu went. Dirge of Cerberus, in my opinion, was great to those that have played VII and wanted to continue the story there- even if it was changed a bit. Not the best title in the series, but not the worst. Like you said, the facial animation is "pretty". I just wish it was longer and more in depth. the funny thing is,when i said i havnt played alot of them,i meant that my extent of ff game's,was the one's on gameboy, before dirge of cerberus,i had NEVER played a ff game on a major console, and still havnt since i beat dirge, but i agree about the gackt music,i made a note of it to look it up and download so now i have it on limewire.

Yes, oh how we love the battling system of the old series.
And I also love how it took forever to save when you were stuck. :/
I vote to keep the new system.

Alchemist_Shuro Yes, oh how we love the battling system of the old series. And I also love how it took forever to save when you were stuck. :/ I vote to keep the new system. That logic makes no sense. The new system requires you to find Save Points too- and they can be just as difficult to reach as the ones in the older games. Honestly, real time battles are something that Square has yet to really get down. That's why Turn Based are generally more popular and why so many see FFX as an amazing game.

Well I don’t hate turn based, and Square did do good with Free time(also called Real time. biggrin ) on Star Ocean 3(and their less then popular sequel Star Ocean 4, for the Gaybox 3retard >.>)
And I know it could be just as hard, but battling turn base is getting old fast and who wants to be doing that 10 years from now. I mean do you see a gang line up in 4s on each side and saying, ‘Hm I will attack that one on the left’ *strikes guy and misses* ‘Damn I miss. Next guy attack!’
Come on that would sound stupid. xD
We are in a new gen and a new system, don’t bring back the old unless it is good.

Alchemist_Shuro Well I don’t hate turn based, and Square did do good with Free time(also called Real time. biggrin ) on Star Ocean 3(and their less then popular sequel Star Ocean 4, for the Gaybox 3retard >.>) I also want to point out that Star Ocean 3 and Star Ocean 4 were developed by Tri-Ace. Square-Enix only published them and had no real hand in their creation. Quote: And I know it could be just as hard, but battling turn base is getting old fast and who wants to be doing that 10 years from now. I mean do you see a gang line up in 4s on each side and saying, ‘Hm I will attack that one on the left’ *strikes guy and misses* ‘Damn I miss. Next guy attack!’ I read it all, but I found it hard to understand. When you say, "battling turn base is getting old fast and who wants to be doing that 10 years from now," you essentially are asking "Who likes RPGs in general?" Kinda interesting to cut so many people out just because you don't agree with something. Besides, with the right strategy, you don't have to worry about missing at all. Your characters have a specific stat that indicates how likely they are to hit or miss an enemy- just like in FFXII. And, even though you're moving around in FFXII, it's still rather turn based seeing as how you have to wait for your ATB to charge up before you can attack. The only thing that FFXII did RIGHT was removing random battles- but that was an obvious one, so no points to Square there. So really, your logic about the New Battle System vs. Old Battle System is still flawed. Quote: Come on that would sound stupid. xD What would sound stupid? o.o Quote: We are in a new gen and a new system, Systems. New generation and new systems. Quote: don’t bring back the old unless it is good. You're right. They should continue spitting out the trash that they're currently making. Who wants another Final Fantasy VII?! OO! ME! ME! Seriously flawed logic there. And the issue here is that you don't seem to realize that even though you don't think something is good that hundreds of thousands- possibly millions- disagree and think that FFXII was trash compared to the rest of the series. Really, you're arguing based on your opinions rather than any actual reasoning as to why turn base should be killed off.

True and I think that was my biggest pet peeve. The random battles like you face in all turn base games. I mean I felt like I was playing pokemon all over again! xD
And yes Square didn’t make it, I was just pointing out that they should have look at that game and think, ‘Hey lets do something like this’. Sure there were random battles, but not every 2 minutes. If you wanted to train you could, but don’t make me have to fight and sometimes get stuck, when I don’t want to.
And I agree if they make the turn base better, then I might enjoy it again, but till then I like free time playing.
Omg imagine a free time KH game! O.O Turn off your system and you could still be leveling. xD Now that would be an amazing free time game.

the old was always the best because it wasn't completely complicated to the point where its not even fun to play the battle system is to easy to avoid battles. the suspence that had grown every time you fought a boss the was to powerfull for you and you needed to go back and level up.

Real time would be the next way to go, but there are a lot of JRPG fans that are itching for a turn-based, traditional RPG. I'd like something a bit more Saga Frontier like, though. : D I'm imagining an end to the KH franchise- where all of us fans can finally set us free! Thank you No-More-A! (Nomura xD).

O.O *hits you with a fish* The part I just spoke of, is from Family Guy when Mayor West wanted all the cops to go save some tv actors he saw was trap on a rerun of a old show. xD And when the news reporter ask this white man what he thought of it and the guy said happily, "The cops are gone?! We are finally free!" and then he and a bunch of supposed whites took off their clothes and were actually black people and they dance in their undergarmets and sung the song from the Wizard of Oz movie, Micheal Jackson played it, aka the black version.
