"I got it." Bleu said as he ran ahead of Arturo
Bleu arrive at the top of the stairs panting. He quickly pulled himself together and stood there waiting to see what his presence would result in, in regard to the thieves.

"Ungh!"
With their strengths combined, the pedestal upon which the boulder rested bent, bent, then... SNAP!
The boulder went rolling with surprising speed, passing through the widened doorway and smashing into the wall. The wall was decimated, but the rock most of its momentum, slowing down until it merely tapped against the following wall--which was too bad, because that wall was the last one between them and the winding hallway that led to the ground floor.
Oh, and something else happened that just might be worth mentioning. opaj was in between Gaby and Vahn, so when he stepped forward he stepped into the shadow of the pedestal. Now that the boulder had smashed through a wall and a half, opaj was nowhere to be seen, so a faint echo of his screaming voice came from the perfectly circle the pedestal was still casting--even though the pedestal was no longer there.

Arturo follows Bleu at a distance. He isn't big on the fighting, and is hoping that maybe the thieves won't kill them on sight.
In a few moments they reach the sunstone room.
"Where's the sunstone?" Arturo asks in shock. What are these foreigners doing?

Gaby watched as the rock finally rolled against the last wall. Now that the boulder was no longer crashing against anything, Gaby faintly heard a voice from far away. She turned around and realized that Opaj was no longer standing where he was earlier.
"Opaj?" she called.

Bleu stepped closer to the center of the room
"We can't let you steal that magical object"
Bleu than slammed the bottom of his staff into the floor and loud crack of a sound will erupt to draw attention to Bleu and to make him seem a little tougher than he actually is.

"Wait wait!" Arturo steps forward holding his hands out. "Maybe we don't need to fight....I think you lost one of your friends now and all we want is to study the stone. Maybe we can help each other?"

With Opaj nowhere to be found and Dzan probably still dumping treasure out the window, Gaby realized that if she was going to deal with these strange people who suddenly showed up, she would have to do so on her own.
"Does 'studying the stone' involve damaging it or breaking it in any way?" she asked. The last thing Gaby wanted was for the rock to decrease in value.

"Not Necessarily" Bleu said as he walked over to the sun stone with a serious look. He put his hand on the stone and started to focus on it.

Gaby was not about to lose the stone after she and the others had worked so hard to get it out of there. If these people wanted the stone, they should have gotten it out themselves.
"Well, listen," she said, though she was sure Bleu was not listening. "My comerades and I went through an awful lot of trouble to get that stone off of it's pedestal and through that door, so we aren't going to simply let you have it after all of that."

Bleu moved his staff to on his back and placed his other hand on the sun stone as well and he continued to focus on the stone ignoring his surroundings.

"I guess we're studying it," Arturo says keeping his eye on Gaby. "I don't see a point to fighting since we can't hurt each other anyway. But I'm glad you won't start anything....we do outnumber you."
"Since that's out of the way I have to ask you who the hell are you and what are you doing in my city?"

Depending on what sort of scan this was, Bleu will discover some or all of the following:
*The stone isn't actually a physical object, but a concentration of thermal energy that's being artificially condensed by some mysterious magical force.
*The stone emits a weak radiation that evenly heats the entire city.

All Gaby could do was watch. Unless her friends somehow showed up again, Arthuro was right: she was outnumbered. She may have been able to fight, but who knew what Bleu was capable of, and besides, with the Unity field in effect, fighting was useless.
There was one thing she could do.
"I don't have to answer any of your questions," she said to Arthuro, "Who I am and what i'm doing here is my business for now."
EDIT:
Gaby changed her mind slightly and added "Unless you tell me what a 'sun stone' is and why you need to study it."

Bleu continued to focus he was memorizing the magical energies of the sun stone so he could produce a similar effect under his own power.

As Bleu continues his scan of the Sunstone, he notices the room beginning to get a bit warmer...in addition, the magical energy within the stone begins to falter slightly.
