It's all a good damn idea, but there's bound to be smegloads of problems. People get whiny because "no-one loves them" or some crap, someone forgets to buy the reward, the votes are just from endless slaves (or whatever they're called...), unless we actually get decent people doing this, let's face it, the whole prospect's kinda ruined.

I think that the nominations should be open, but a panel of judges should review the nominations to see who the winner is. The judges can just ignore all of the nominations that aren't serious, or nominations of people that couldn't possibly win. (for being a jerk or otherwise.)

Cool idea.
But I think that it would never work.
A. People are too lazy.
B. Too many variables involved.
C. It would be a popularity contest.
I mean if someone actually gets this to work, then you can personally smack me for this post.

Waynebrizzle Mephisto D Yamato1 Another problem is bias. Which, if you choose to have a diverse panel of people, shouldn't be so much of a problem. Some cult members have problems with other members. It's only natural when you cluster alot of people together. I say a committee of about 5 people, all of which who have been here for more than at least 5 months. Make it at least 10, actually. I dun think 5 is enough personally. I think that 10 is way too many to keep actively interested and have collaborate in order to deliberate (whats the word I'm looking for confused ) on a single person. I think that 5 is plenty and I agree that they need to have been members for at least 5 months.
