Eliza couldn't help but smile, her features acquiring a new light rather than the normal somewhat somber tone her oft expressionles face presented. "Actually, Guess was it. Its a name that gives other people the freedom to name him whatever they so wish and he never has to sacrifice to stay with one. I had a cat named Guess. I couldn't just give her *one* name like... Mary or Fluffy-- they wouldn't do her justice. Guess did, though. I would have the name but my parents were never that thoughtful."

As she spoke, the mooing of her footsteps took over each stride. "Speaking of which, I shall return. Francis needs to be fed... and I need to change. As much as I love Mr. and Mrs. Moo, they're giving me a headache."

And so spoken the mooing finally subsided accompanied by the soft clicking of her door being shut.

(( I'll be bringing Mimi back in a bit... the potty beckons first.))

The mysterious being smirked at the offer, she was a creative one. "That name would be great" he whispered, not wanting to shout, and knowing that the original being probably wouldn't hear him, though, Cherry might have.

He started thinking about who would come back to JdH, or trying to foresee what kind of person would. Even though he didn't know much about the ones that were here before, he still sensed their auras while he meditated. He assumed most of them would not come back, but he wasen't always right, especially about these sort of things.

"Guess it is, then!" Cerise chorused brightly, flashing a smile toward the newly named...being. She still wasn't sure exactly what he was. But that was a riddle for another day.

Light creaked through the windows, signaling to her that she'd been up quite awhile. Not that she needed sleep, not really, but it seemed due time that she head back to work.

Sparkling eyes surveyed the room. Everything was in order and clean, too. It wouldn't be hard to keep things that way, what with only three people staying there. But not having work to do left Cerise with a multitude of options.

Tea cups trailing behind her, the girl exited the main lobby toward the kitchen. Perhaps cooking wasn't her personal forte, but it was the most exciting prospect at the moment...aside from wandering outside.

- The rain had ceased for a good hour or so. Pale gold rays pierced through the clouds in a sporradic fashion, making the gloomy day seem just a tad brighter. Such peace was not to last long.

Just when things seemed to be getting a bit calmer a soft yet rising wind commenced to pick up. Amid the uproaring winds folliage swirled, the orange, gold and red leaves foreign within the Hyde. Along with the growing zephyr the undertones of a familiar presence could be felt among those who were keen to such things. The uproar lasted for less than a minute and once things settled a faint myst formed about the grand entrance of the hyde.

Out of that fine, humid atmosphere the small and petite figure of a felinesque female stepped forth. Had it not been for the signature silver color of her hair nor the bright amethyst of her gaze, Mimi might have been completely unrecognizable.

Those short cropped tresses had long been outgrown, as the thick strands proved from where they had been carefully gathered atop her head in elegant plaits whose tips brushed against her shoulder blades. The casual cotton tops had been traded for somewhat more revealing attire of black brocade and her trademark jeans ditched for a pair of dark grey slacks. The kitten of old had somehow grown up after all.

Despite the wardrobe change and the faint hardening of her features, Mimi hadn't changed much. Beneath the somewhat frigid aura of the warrioress she'd been forced to become lay the happy-go-lucky of yester-year.- Well, some things hardly change.

- As soon she stepped through the hesitant doors of the Hyde the grim expression on her face faded. A new light had been lit amid those purple orbs. - Its still warm and cozy, if not somewhat empty...

A shriek burst forth from the kitchen, followed by the sound of shattering glass. Cerise ignored the mess, opting instead to dart through back to the lobby.

"Mimi, Mimi! Oh my gosh! I knew I saw your aura! Someone else is back! Woo hoo!" The bubbly creature hopped up and down in place, clapping all the while. Her sparkling eyes seemed to shine with yet more vibrance at the prospect of yet another resident returning. And one she knew, at that!

Casually, the red-head waved a hand over her shoulder, fixing up the mess she'd left in the kitchen. But she was hardly paying any attention; her gaze was fixed on the cat demon before her. "Y'know, you've changed. Yup, yup! Remember me?"

It seemed a night of running about had done nothing but energize her more. To further emphasize her cheer, her fixed tea cups came whizzing into the room, dancing circles about her slight frame. "D'you want something to drink? This one's cocoa," she pointed to a blur that zoomed past her nose. "This one's coffee..." And so on.

-Delicate brows became furrowed at the sudden shriek that came from the bar room. For a moment, the somewhat newer version of Mimi came to view as her small frame tensed ready for battle. Human-like fingertips had somehow elongated to alien porportions, the otherwise well manicured tips now razor sharp. If she'd been in full feral form a nice bristling of hairs would have been visible.

But as Cerise's voice followed the shrieks, the cheery tones discernable from those of violent types, the nekojin slowly relaxed. The cold beauty of her features melted upon the sound of her name, only to be replaced by a warm grin. - Cherry!! How could I forget you? You're one of the most memorable people I have ever met.

-She would have said more had it not been for the girl's sudden outburst of offerings that were accompanied by flying cups. In the end, she delicately plucked the nearest one only to find out it was hot cocoa.- By sweet Bast, Cocoa. I haven't had hot chocolate in ages!

"You haven't? Oh, that sucks! Cocoa is awesome!" Cerise remarked, grabbing a cup for herself as well. She was quite pleased at being remembered. Then again, it was unlikely she'd ever be forgotten by everyone; what with her bright clothes, hair, and personality she sort of...stood out.

"What brings you back, anyway? I mean, not that I don't want you to come back! No, no! This place is soooo dull without a ton of people around... But, you know, I can't really say that. I just got back about five hours ago! Teehee!" There were very few people who could transition between thoughts as quickly as Cerise good. "Oh! Eliza is here! And Mr. Guess guy!" Here, she nodded vigorously. Razor-edged hair flipped about her face in a layered mess.

She impatiently brushed the hair from her eyes and took a sip of cocoa. "Oh, but what was I saying?" She cocked her head sideways, blinking in thought. "Right! Why've you come back? And are you staying? Have you heard from everyone else?" A thousand questions flooded her mind, each fighting to reach her pink lips first.

(( I'm so distracted lately. I blame it on certain people... xD ))

-As eccentric as Cherry could be and as aggravating all that energy was at times, Mimi had missed it. Such auras were too far and in between in the Den realm, the characteristics more fitting for a child than anything else. Kyaroru was considered an 'adult' in her pride. Not just any adult, a "rather vital and important adult that shouldn't be bothered by children," according to Daisuke. In other words, Mimi had been thoroughly alienated, her acquaintances heavily restricted.

She only saw those he wanted her to see.

But now things had changed. What respect she had earned gave her now the ability to do just about as she pleased-- all within reason anyhow. In the meantime, she had her will. Her freedom. She'd deal with the problems as they came along.- Lets just say a friend of mine called to me.

-Mimi smiled a bit, the gesture tainted with sadness and regret. - Besides.... This is home to me. I thoroughly missed it. But enough about you, how has life treated you?

-And this time, her words were not only directed to Cherry but to the man nearby. Before they could answer, she spoke again, her purple gaze locked on the gentleman. - Neit, isn't it? I apologize for not having said something earlier. Its a pleasure to see you around here again.

The man had sensed the nekojin from a good distance away. Her aura, he knew, her herself, he did not know much about. The mysterious being remembered the first time he came in, and remembering it was her that greeted him, though they never talked much after that. Soon after that thought, the one about that man she used to be around, something with the letter 'H' in it.

He did not matter now, but the weird man hoped he would come back, so he would have something to play with. He thought and thought some more, until he noticed that Mimi had already come in, and that Cherry has already greeted her. Oh, how does he always get caught up in his jungle of minds?

"Ah..." He let out after she mentioned his old name. "Yes, Neit was the name I chose, but I still can't remember what aura I let out while being here...Vampire? Or demon? I remember that pesky man didn't like me when I came in" The newly named 'Guess' said.

"Well, I've decided to be a little more honest this time, and a bit more patient. Though I hope this place will pick up with some sort of drama pretty soon" He stated, then smiled at Mimi. "Oh, and it's okay if you didn't say "Hi" at first, I was kinda lost in my thoughts anyway. Pleasure to see you again also." He said those words with a happier and more friendly tone than the others.

((Wheeee, morning rping, sorry if the ideas are a little mixed up x.o; ))

{Woo! Background post! *just realized that she's never explained Cerise's background* ^.^;}

How had life treated her? Now, there was a funny question. Cerise was rather glad for Guess/Neit's interruption; it saved her from having to answer. She listened to the conversation with a sugary smile, appearing to listen intently as she sipped at her cocoa. But her mind was elsewhere, stuck on Mimi's oddly phrased question.

Frankly, life had been treating her well. It was the people in it that had been the problem. Amidst the relative safety of the hotel, Cerise felt quite free from the troubles that had plagued her childhood, and had, to some extent, added a certain level of paranoia to her teenage years. Here, she had a real job or at least constant work. Reading palms and tarot cards could hardly be considered a respectable position...even with the success of her little shop.

"Life's been great, Mimi! I finished high school!" Cerise chimed, if a little belatedly. "I've even got a diploma and everything!" There was a hint of pride in her words. It was no small wonder that the girl had graduated early; enhanced mental abilities did wonders for one's performance in school.

-At the mention of the 'pesky little man' the smile she had sported seemed to fade a couple of notches. Ah, the semi-sweetness of a lost love. How was he anyway? Her mind trailed off for a few moments, lips curled in a faint, sad little smile before she spoke again.- Ah, that's right, Hakan disliked you and if I know him, I can bet it was a demonic aura that you exuded. Hakan was more of a lone wolf in the sense that he was really....territorial... I'm afraid he saw you like an arch nemesis.

-As she spoke, she shook her head as if trying to clear out the cowebs. Those times were gone. Hakan was Gone. Wherever he was she was sure she hated him. After all, her sudden absence with lack of any explanation was bound to hurt him. He had trusted her deeply and she'd hurt him. If only there had been a way to say 'I'm alive, I love you, It wasn't my idea to go away, I swear it.,' then things might have been different. Right?

Thankfully, Cherry spoke again, pulling her to the present.- Oh, that's absolutely wonderful. We should celebrate! Come, come, into the kitchen... let's have a celebratory dinner!!
PostPosted: Thu Jan 06, 2005 9:48 am

That hit a weak spot... Guess thought, looking at Mimi's appearance when he mentioned Hakan. Yes, now he remembers the demon better, and his little grudge against him. Though she misunderstood when he said 'pesky little man', since he was talking about that other resident, the one that was in love with taryn.

He kept a solid smile, and then got up from the chair he was sitting on. "That sounds like a good idea, we can celebrate Cherry's accomplishment, and a little get together" The mysterious man said, starting to walk towards the kitchen.

(( aren't we on all at weird times? ))

-Mimi smiled, entering the bar room with determination. Granted there would be little to eat but something *was* something.- I'll see what I can fix up.. maybe some soup. Anything canned will be accomplished.

Liquor anyone? -She said, quietly serving herself a tall glass of seven up with vodka and lime.-

(( brain's fried. )

"I'm only sixteen, you know," Cerise said with a giggle. "Sixteen years, one month, two days, and...." She shut her eyes for a moment, as if calling up some inner information book. "Four hours and ten minutes." This statement was followed by a short chorus of giggling.

"Buuut, if you insist, Mimi, one little glass won't kill me, right?" She shot the elder woman a sly smile and winked conspiratorily. "Soda is just as good, though, really."

The prospect of simply grabbing a glass was tempting.... After all, what better way to rebel against the regulations of her old boarding school? But drinking was a bad habit! Her conscience always had a habit of spoiling her fun.

Cerise sighed. The fridge opened and a bottle of Coke flew to her waiting hands. "So, where've you been, Mimi?"

Ah, he remembers being here. As the strange man sat down, he positioned himself to face the other two. "No thanks" He said, once Mimi asked if he would like to drink. He remembers the last time he forced himself to drink something here.

((Oh god, I have nothign to post about gonk ))
