I'm so excited, like a little school girl Sokka, but equally frightened, like a little Avatar Aang that has to face the firelord. If they mess THIS movie up, just like Harry Potter or Eragon (LOTR was AMAZING, no complaints Peter Jackson!) I will go insane and have to hurt someone (figuratively).

Eragon made me want to cry and shoot myself.
It did that to all of us, love.

The people behind me actually started clapping at the end of that movie. CLAPPING.
D:

Anyway...
I am absolutely DREADING the A;TLA movie. A lot.

Because, I think we all want a movie that does extreme justice to the show. Something that will not only please fans, but move critics and non-fans to such a degree that they will be forced to convert to Avatarism. We want a movie that will make everyone think "AWESOME." , as they walk out of the theater.

And based on the direction they're taking this movie, I really don't think that's going to happen.

Uggh. A scene kid and some little asian kid. gonk
What I don't get is why don't they have Dante play Zuko? He's a good actor, and he is the voice of Zuko, he has dark skin and black hair.

His acting career extends far beyond that (very wonderful) movie.

I am seriously dreading seeing this movie. I'm gonna see it, no matter what happens, but I am really afraid at the same time. It is going to be so wierd to listen to "Aang" speak and we dont hear Aang's voice. Not to mention this is M. Night Shyamalan we are talking about! The only movies of his that were decent were signs and the sixth sense.

Talk about his creatures being creative? PSSHHHH! HECKS NO >.< The dogs from lady in the water looked like they were covered in mold and the monkey thingies looked like they were covered in Ganja!

Signs was just as big (if not more) of a piece of crap as all his other movies. If anything Unbreakable was his best work. It has Samuel L. Jackson in it, for christ sake!

Dice, are those resources reliable? The Asian dude...maybe...but he's 17...how tall is he compared to how tall Aang is? Oh dude, I hope Dante auditioned for it, I really hope he did. But, he's like in his twenties now, so...
I'm just really hoping that the cast in the movie won't suck...I'm really praying for that... confused

Well, the dogs were meant to have fur that looked like grass, so that's not too far off. razz

But their movements and everything were spot on. I'm not sure about the monkeys, but the dogs were animatronics, not 3D. And I dunno, to me it seems like getting proper movements with animatronics is harder than with 3D, so props to him for that.

Even in the "making of" thing on the DVD, a guy had one of the dog animatronics next to him, and it was moving around a bit. If I had known any better, I could have sworn that it was a real creature. And this was without funky lighting or camera angles.
