Starpelt followed nervously behind Larksparrow remembering images of the past and how her father, Nightstorm, had died taking her here.

Cinderpelt let her fur lie flat in relief when her apprentice's fur brushed hers, and she raised her head to survey that all the others had made it as well before getting to her paws and heading away from the thunderpath, her pelt still trembling slightly as her crippled leg thrummed with a dull pain of remembrance. "Looks like everyone made it safely," She began, stubbornly pushing away the fear that had made her pause momentarily, "Highstones isn't too far now; If you look ahead, you can see the peaks!" Her amber eyes gazed back over all the new apprentices making their first journey, and she felt excited as she remembered her first time to the mystifying moonstone.

Starpelt also gazed towards the Highstones, it had been so long since she was last here. Excitement welled up in her belly as they waited for the right time to enter.

Mistpaw looked up in the direction Cinderpelt was facing and could see the rocks. "Wow, that's highstones? How long will it take to get there now?" she asked eagerly.

"It's getting late," Larksparrow observed. "We'd better hurry if we wish to make it by Moonhigh." She took off at a light jog that she felt Cinderpelt could manage without straining her leg, she would hate to cause her friend unnecessary distress. The white and brown cat flicked her tail for her apprentice and the others to follow.
The distance between the party and the place where they would gather with Starclan grew ever closer, and Larksparrow slowed as she began to wind her way through the more rocky terrain up a trail burned into her mind from her multiple past visits.
"Almost there!" she called to Starpelt in particular, before turning her attention to the mouth of the dark tunnel that would bring them to their final destination.

Starpelt ran after Larksparrow excitedly but hesitantly. Soon the dark tunnel was in sight. She still couldn't believe that they were supposed to go in there. The prospect was sort of frightening.

"Follow me," Larksparrow mewed to her apprentice. "The passageway isn't very big so it can be a bit intimidating, but it's not that bad."
The white and brown cat slipped into the tunnel, whiskers brushing gently across rock. A gentle turn ever so slightly to the right, then left. Her paws carried her down the familiar path, though it was too dark to distinguish anything. Finally the soft light of the moon began to illuminate the area ahead, and the group of cats emerged to find themselves in a large cave with a hole in the ceiling from where they could see Silverpelt sparkling peacefully. In the center of the cave sat the Moonstone.

Before she entered the cave, Mistpaw looked at the dark opening. "Why would it be so dark if the Moonstone is there? Isn't it supposed to glow?" She quickly padded behind the other cats when they started moving so she wouldn't get lost.
When the Moonstone came into view, the gray cat gasped. "It is really glowing!"

HeartPool slipped down the path after the apprentice. Her whiskers twitched following the wall. This way then that way. She smiled softly as she remebered first coming down the tunnel.
Breacking in to the room she smiled to the apprentice. "Yes..." She murmered softly and sat watching the stone for a moment. She sighed and moved over to 'her spot' the spot she had sat at since she was an apprentice her self. She sighed closing her eyes briefly
Her eyes opened carefully to watch the other cats move in and about the stone. There were many new medicine cats. She smiled. Waiting for the mentors to explain what to do she settled her head on her paws. Waiting.

(Ack! I've been gone a long time! sorry! >.< *has lost touch with a lot of her online hangouts it seems* Humm.. aren't we supposed to hold a ceremony before communicating with starclan? Initiating the apprentices as such in Starclan's eye?)
Cinderpelt had little trouble keeping up with the other cats as they sped up to reach the Moonstone. She crept down the tunnel after the last of the apprentices made their way in and settled next to the large, glowing moonstone next to Mistpaw. "As soon as the moon climbs as high as it'll go in the sky, we will all touch our noses to the Moonstone. From there, ancestors from Starclan will be able to contact you and will appear to you in a dream." She began, explaining the process to the Apprentices, gazing down proudly at Mistpaw as she did so.

Larksparrow nodded as Cinderpelt spoke, hoping that Starpelt was taking in all that was being said. After a few moments she stepped forward and touched her nose to the cold stone.
It was time. The group of cats slipped into their dreams, to the world of Starclan.
(I now declare this RP dead! We can start a new one for the med cats later.)
