Dr. Madison Moreau

Madison woke up from sleeping in the entertainment room and strolled back to her bungalow.

She had caught a glimpse of some new arrivals to the island but she didn't think they saw her. "How sad that more innocent people will be exposed to this horror!"

She sat outside on the porch and relaxed in the cool breeze coming in from the north.

(( I was digging through my old aim logs and came across a convo between Madison and Aubrey. I'll post it here for now but will edit a back post with it later if posting old RPs isn't allowed.. but it happened in October. I forgot that my character had met Aubrey XD)
Oct 06
Aubrey was shuffling abuot, finishing the days dutities and so very happy she didn't have monitor duty that night. She was itching to see Moreau, but he was caught up in some new data analysis, so she decided to catch a snack since she was sure the good doctor wouldn't be ready for dinner for hours. Heading to the kitchen, she found some yogurt and settled down in the dining room, taking a moment to relax.

Madison was feeling bored so she decided to go exploring. Outside her bungalow window, she could see the Moreau mansion built into the mountain.

"I wonder what is in there..." she wondered and ventured outside to find out.

The windows were tinted and there was no doorway so Madison just stood outside inspecting one of the windows. She could swear there was some activity behind it..but could not be too sure.

Suddenly, Madison remembered Moreau saying that there was an entry way from the elevator!

She walked over to that area of the mansion and took the elevator to the living quarters.

It wooshed up and made her stomach feel queasy and was so relieved when it opened on the floor. Madison stepped out of the elevator and looked around.

There was a kitchen and a dining room! She saw someone sitting in one of the plush chairs.

"Hello there!" she called out.

Aubrey looked up at the greeting. Only lab techs could get around the mansion. It was a young, pretty red-headed girl that Aubrey recognized immediately as Madison Moreau, the good doctor's cousin. She smiled a friendly smile, eager to get to know someone in Moreau's family a bit better. "Hello Miss Madison!" she said, standing and offering her hand. "I'm afraid we haven't been properly intoduced. My name is Aubrey Lockheart!"

Madison tugged at her elongated ears, rather embarrassed of them. "Hi Aubrey! It is nice to finally meet you. I heard such wonderful things about you from the Dr!" she said, offering a ..paw.

Aubrey had a yogurt cup in front her and Madison's mouth watered..hungerly. "So, anything to eat here? I'm famished!"

Aubrey shook her paw-like hand without hesitation. "Oh, have you?" Aubrey looked a bit curious. "Thats good to hear, I suppose. You're his cousin, of course. How facinating... to be part of your family. Are you and Nicholas close?"

Aubrey nodded towards the kitchen. "You can help yourself to whatever you want in there."

"Yes! It is nice to be related to such a fantastic genius. On the other hand, it has made me rather unpopular with the inhabitants here. They don't like my company much" she said, bitting a scarlet lip.

Madison looked over at the kitchen and made her way to the fridge. "Wow!! there is so much food in here!"
((ahh my step mom is turning off the net soon..i hope she hasn't already))

Aubrey followed her into the kitchen. "Red hair must run in the family," she said. "To be honest I'm a bit jealous on some level. Its almost weird imagining him with a family. That probably sounds... wrong. Its just he's such a ... unique individual."

Aubrey frowned. "Ah, they blame you, too, I suppose?"
"Everyone has a family..although I got kicked from mine for wanting to go to college. I agree, he is unique" Madison said while digging in the fridge.

She was startled by Aubrey's comment but shrugged it off because she knew how they cared so deeply for one another. Madison felt glad that her cousin had someone that loved him.

"Yes, they blame me I think. This one girl, Greer, ran out on me while we were having lunch in the cafeteria. It was rather rude"

Finally, she pulled out some bread and turkey to make a sandwich. She wondered where her cousin was right now.. more people arrived on the island so she felt he might be busy with them.

"Well, I guess they think since you're related to Nick." She looked the girl over, noting her ears. "And because you volunteered. You know, to help with your hearing. I guess they figured you would have told them."

Aubrey grabbed some milk. "Of course, I guess I feel bad I wasn't more honest. But I didn't want to start a panic, you know?"

"That's understandable," Madison nodded between bites of her sandwich. "A panic wouldn't be good at all. A person is smart, but a whole group of them all irate creates chaos"

Madison felt really happy because she could hear Aubrey's voice. Her hearing was getting better, but it came and went. It was enough to make up for turning into an animal..although she did not know what species she was becoming.

PostPosted: Sun Jun 04, 2006 8:46 am

When she returned from her meeting with Ginerva on the cliffs, Madison decided to lie down. Her heart still was pounding and she could barely breathe. Hives were forming under her fur too.

The bed was comfortable as she stretched out with one pawed hand over her heart. She began to take deep breaths slowly over a period of fifteen minutes.

Afterwards, she felt alot better but still rested just in case it would return. I can't believe that Ginerva scared me like that. She just popped out at me and all the old feelings from the asylum sprung up on me again..

Madison woke up from her sleep and climbed out of her bed. The moon glowed through her window and shone down on the wooden floor. She had not slept very well the last couple of days and was very restless. The recent change had caused her to think and behave more like an animal. Madison stretched her legs and pawed around on the floor. If only there was something that could keep her mind off what she was feeling.

Thumbing through her purse, Madison took out her cell phone. It wouldn't get any reception way out here but she had embedded games on it like Tetris and Super Mario Brothers. Madison turned on the power. Luckily, the cell battery was still functioning as she had not used this phone since before coming to the island.

On screen various shapes appeared and Madison worked to fit them neatly as the moved down the screen. Tetris usually bored her but it made her happy to play a nice game of it to calm herself down.

Soon she was reaching bonus levels and achieving points like crazy. Her thumbs ached from mashing the cell phone keys so much but it was so fun that she didn't realize it.

Then the battery finally ran down so Madison put the cell phone back in her purse. The bed looked very comfortable now that she was tired so she crawled back in under the covers.

I think I'll stay in my room for awhile until I feel better Madison thought to herself. It was probably better that way until she could get over the fact that Ginerva was on the island. She did not want repeat what had happened before in the asylum...that was for sure.

Conversation with Ian in the Cafeteria
After his conversation with Dr. Lockheart, Ian made himself leave the familiar setting of his duplex and blinked owlishly into the afternoon sun. Too bad that it wasn't night, he didn't want anyone to see him. Slowly he managed to make it to the cafeteria, hobbling and trying to get used to this new way that he had to walk for awhile. Before getting some food he sat down for a bit to examine his hoof. Strange how one would change and the other wouldn't, but this was all experimental after all. . .
Madison left her bungalow and started towards the cafeteria for something to eat. It was a very bright afternoon as she pushed against the doors and stepped inside. The yummy smells of food encircled her nostrils and she was all ready to get a chop of steak when she noticed Ian. He had one hoof that was changed and another that wasn't. How strange.. I wonder why that is? How can the poor guy even walk? she thought to herself.

She pawed over to Ian and gave a friendly wave. "Hi! How are you today, Ian?" she smiled warmly.

When he heard the familiar vioce the young deer-man just knew he shouldn't have left his duplex in the afternoon. He had left too much to luck when he hoped he wouldn't be seen.
"Good afternoon Madison." He tried to smile back, but in his recent mood over his change it appeared as a strained grimace, but at least he had tried. "I think I'm alright, Dr. Lockheart said she'd see about getting me a cane so it will be easier to go back and forth from here to my duplex." The terrain was too difficult for him to go anywhere else, and he wasn't about to try it. Chances were, he'd fall and hurt himself. "And yourself?"

She sat down on the chair beside him and crossed her legs. "That's great. Dr. Lockheart is so sweet and kind. I'm just so happy to hear she is taking care of you like that, Ian. She is just the most wonderful woman don't you agree?" Madison nodded happily.

Canes could be hard to get used to but Madison was sure that Ian could figure it out. "I'm doing just great, Ian. I been spending some time in my room these last few days trying to recover from a panic attack. I do feel so much better. Are you going to get anything to eat?" she asked while peering over at the steak chop again. So much enticing food here today. smile

"Its reassuring to have nice people here. It makes you feel better about being trapped here." Not that being trapped was that bad since Ian wouldn't have met Emerwyn otherwise.
"Panic attack. . .those can be nasty." From what he had heard anyway. Despite being just a bit crazy, Ian tended to be detached from his sorroundings and had thus never really gone through a panic attack.
"Food," he glanced over at the salads and his mouth watered. "Perhaps in a moment, but feel free to get something for yourself, don't let me stop you." He didn't even think the sight of her eating meat would phase him - unless she chose venison. Then his deer instincts just might go crazy.

((Madison will never be RPed again. ))
