It was one of those mornings where Billy had run out of his own private stash of food in his duplex, forcing him to thus hobble his way to the cafeteria and risk possible socialization as always was the danger of leaving the house. His mind was heavy with the various important goings on that had recently gone to pass, his conversations with Jamal, his odd dreams as of late that undoubtably were the result of his horrifying situation more than anything. Things would come to pass as they would, and there was little he could do beyond what he was already slowly organizing.
It bothered him that no matter how much he seemed to try to excersize his legs, they remained weak and frustrating, locking him in the crippled roll he thouroughly did not appreciate. In a practiced movement, he took his tray, moving along the line of the various foods in search of some sort of meal that wasn't sushi, having finally grown weary of it. Thankfully, the catering staff seemed well aware of what animals were in circulation at the time, supplying a few other things that struck his fancy, including a shell-bar, where he helped himself to a tentacle-full of giant crab legs.

Madison left her bunglow for the cafeteria after she got a pain of hunger in her stomach.
Her tail swished as she opened the cafe doors and padded over to the line. The smell of chopped brisket encircled her nostrils and she heaped some onto a plate. She saw a man with octopus legs and she nearly lost her appetite. How strange he looked..she stood there gawking unsure if he noticed or not.

Billy seemed only vegually aware that someone else had come in, and if he was, he made no move to greet her. He had his own business to take care of. Resituating himself on his crutches, his lower tentacles clinging to his tray, he moved away towards the tables to find a place to eat and rest.

Shrugging, Madison picked up a glass of ice tea and headed for an empty table. The octopus man striked her from the conversation she had with Bobby. He didn't seem like he saw her oogling him and she was glad for that. She felt a freak herself and surely wouldn't want someone to stare at her without saying a word.
Still, she was so curious about him so turned around in her chair towards his direction. "Oh my! You must have quite the appetite" she remarked, eyeing his heap of crab legs

Billy glanced over to the fox-girl, giving a grunt, using his odd teeth to crack open the shell and suck the meat out, "Wha's yer problem?"

"Oh nothing! Sorry if I came across as rude. I just never seen anyone eat crab legs the way you do. It's as if you were made for it" she said with a chuckle.
She put her plate of food to her mouth so she could lap it up. This was alot easier than using a fork.. her pawed hands felt too odd for one.

((Gaia was down so continued on aim)) Billy rolled his eyes, "Yer an observant one, aintcha'? I s'pose now yer gonna' be all demandin' t'know me name an' all sorts o' personal details I don' care t'share wit' strangers." It was strange that he was sucking out the meat from a crab-shell, while she was busy eating like a dog?
She put down the plate and set it on the table. "Oh no of course not! You don't have to tell me anything about yourself if you rather not. I just think you are very interesting" she said while crossing her legs.
"Well, then, aint tha' nice fer you?" He gave another crustacious crunch, tentacles resituating in his lap and on the table.
"Hmph! I'm just trying to make conversation and get to know people. I didn't mean to offend you in any way. My name is Madison by the way" she snapped. It was though already she had made a bad impression on this fellow. It was reasonable enough since she herself already thought ill of him from the convo with Bobby.
"I aint offended. I jes' aint lookin' t'make friends, foxy," He gave a bitter chuckle, using the term loosely.*
"That's quite understandable. I doubt I would want to make friends with likes of you either!" she growled and turned back around. Her heart pounded that she talked to a known killer and she tried to calm herself down.
"Then we're at an agreement," Billy continued working on his food. He was actually fairly relieved she hadn't made any observations regarding his appearence. Maybe she was smarter than she sounded like.
((TBC since Bilious had to leave. ))

Madison got up from the table and threw away her trash. The tension she could feel in the room could be cut with a knife. 'Maybe I should just leave him alone.. it's not like I can be agreeable with everyone I meet' she thought to herself. Still she wondered why he had such bitterness. Could it be because his life had hardened him? She just didn't know anything about this man and felt her previous thoughts about him when talking with Bobby were unfair.
She looked back one last time at the crustacian eating tenticled man before exiting out the cafeteria doors. Madison then didn't know where to go next.
