Oh dear smeg. Doomsday was a GOOD ending to Rose's story. They should just f**king leave it at that. Man, I hate when they bring back regular characters. Except for Sarah Jane and all those past companions in those old "Multiple Doctor" stories. I bet the episode which brings Rose back will have: 1. Some s****y plot-device in doing so that makes no actual sense 2. A sub-standard plot. 3. Gratuitous b***h scenes between Donna and Rose. 4. Some crappy supposed "character development" that really does nothing to develop the characters. 5. A lot of poorly-handled melodramatic bollocks. 6. All the regulars being even more annoying and whiny than usual. Why the hell did they feel the urge to bring Rose back? I mean I like Rose's character, but I hope they kill her off at the end. But WHY though? The Doctor has Donna and Martha now. Why can't the show go forward instead of just living in the past? But keep the old series references. I like those. To quote some nameless character in Torchwood, "It's a f**king disgrace!"

I don't hate Rose, but they did a good farewell for her & they need to leave it at that. To bring her back now would so...comic-book. It's like in comics when a character gets killed or makes a very permanent exit from the storyline & always comes back later. There's no meaning left to the death or departure. If Rose comes back, all that happened in Doomsday will be empty. She has a new life, and is using all she learned in her time with the Doctor to make a better world of the parallel Earth in its reconstruction. Why should she be jerked away from that just for ratings? rolleyes

She's back for 3 epi's or something, I can't quite remember, but really... I could understand one or two so he gets to say goodbye without being cut off like he was in Doomsday, but well... when you look at it, I bet it won't be like that at all. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I would hate it even more if she just comes back like Jack did at the end of series three, where she has no proper job or purpose and just runs around with everyone. I am doubting whether or not RTD can pull this off well....

I am doubting whether or not RTD can pull this off well.... I liked Rose a lot more than I like Martha, but Doomsday must stay as it is and not be affected by anything. If there's an episode where it turns out the Doctor dreamed it all (thanks to some alien thing of course) then I think I'd be fine with that...but anything proper would be ruining an amazing ending.
And I love Jack, adore him even.. I can't help it. He's able to return because it's possible through normal events. But the fact is that he's.. just a sidekick.. he's practically the comic relief in the end of Season 3, starting when we first see him leap onto the Tardis, down to the goodbyes. If Rose returns in any similar fashion... I'm going to really, really dislike RTD.
In short, Rose had the emotional attachment with the Doctor, which would make any kind of return just ruin everything.

I know how she comes back! Based on all the clues, I put together a really good prediction! Okay:
In Torchwood Owen split the rift open to save Jack and Gwen and to bring back some other girl. So then at the end of the episode, the Doctor's hand Jack has started to glow and the TARDIS noise went off and Jack was gone.
So... Jack also reunites with the Doctor while not knowinly Rose falls through the parrell rift and ends up on "normal" Earth running into the Doctor and Jack.
Isn't that good thinking?

Voldemort point two Well, this isn't a S4 spoiler, but Philip Pullman said it would be fun to write a DW episode. That would be good, but I wouldn't watch it. We know most of the writers for S4 and it's started filming anyway, but if it's one of the 2009 specials it'll be the easter one. D: He'll have the Doctor going back to AD33 and finding out that Jesus was actually a Dalek. Or that the Lazarus Experiment stuff was used to bring Him back to life... -_- Not everything Phillip Pullman writes has anti-religious themes. What about the Sally Lockhart books? They're just adventure novels. And his various other children's books, most of which are very light-hearted. I would love it if he wrote an episode. There's some incredibly original stuff in his works - he could come up with something new, I think.

Yeah but that would imply a Torchwood Doctor Who crossover episode. Not necessarily. Could be separate episodes. Although The S*n have been at it again... They're claiming that next year's Doctor-lite episode will be Doctorless! According to them, the Doctor will be lost in space during an alien invasion. Rose, Martha and Donna will have to team up to not only sort the crisis, but also get the Doctor back. Yeah right!
