vanillaXtiffy Varmeip vanillaXtiffy Princess_of_youkai man i hate zombies i would boad myself up in a house and wait for death
You my friend, are part of the problem. I would find all people like you kill you. Reasoning: 1. The more people out there fighting, the more zombies will be killed. If one person can dispatch multiple zombies, we're a step ahead of the enemy. 2. If you wait for them to eat you, they will, and you will become a zombie. Thus adding to the number needing to be killed. Hmm... she has a point, if you plan to die anyway, why not just go nuts and start killing zombies? Exactly! Go down fighting! That's the only way to insure success on the human side. If everyone were to fight, and kill as many zombies as possible, the threat would be dispatched of. True... however, if more people cower and get eaten, it means more zombies to slaughter!! twisted ...Completly separate thought on zombies, how can they run or move quickly (like in dawn of the dead) when rigmortis sets in? If they're science-induced zombies, I mean.

If they're science-induced zombies, I mean. From what I understand about Rigor Mortis, after about 3 days all of the muscles relax again. Also, it seems that it sets in partially because of the lack of movement. So assuming you die then get right back up, Rigor Mortis may not have time to manifest, and if it does, after a few days, it should clear. Also: More zombies to slaughter means more zombies to get bitten by. This is in no way a good thing.

I heard somewhere that zombies have no sense of smell... Umm...Other than that, I have no random little bits of info other people haven't already said. sweatdrop (EVERYONE knows you MUST shoot a zombie in the head. And shotguns are a must.)

I've heard some very convincing arguments against the use of shotguns.

Shot-guns are not the choice weapon. I mean, if it's what you can get easily, then by all means, grab what you can. But it should not be the primary or only weapon. I'd think it's a poor choice because you have to reload often.

Depending on the type of zombie, you may even be able to beat them to death with your bare hands... I hear revolvers work well.

How about if you're trying to survive? The more zombies, the less a chance of survival silly.

vanillaXtiffy How about if you're trying to survive? The more zombies, the less a chance of survival silly. Not to mention more fun if you like killing zombie. In the long run, of course, fewer zombies is much, much better for all... There's always darwin awards...

You're right, because a real life zombie apocalypse will totally work just like the movies, and everyone will be the protagonist. Actually I'm sure 9 times out of 10, the protagonists die horrible deaths. So no dice on that one, try again.

Though good point on the real life matter, most of this country would be made zombies due to stupidity of it's population, (see "i would wait for death" post) but then, as you failed to notice, it depends on the TYPE of zombie. If it's a slow, shambling creature, you could probably just grab it by the arm, hurl it to the ground, and stomp on it's head. Otherwise, hand-to-hand with zombies IS bad.

Even the slow moving ones shouldn't be under-estimated. Just because it's slow doesn't mean it should be treated as any less of a threat. A walking cannibalistic corpse is no laughing matter.
