Yeah, I tried to put myself on it but it didn't work. Do we have just a stickey list of people and their location?
(I live near San Diego; what's considered the "bay area"?)
You won't have eyes tonight. You won't have ears or a tongue; you will wander the underworld blind, deaf and dumb...

San Francisco Bay Area is... I guess the 'official' name. It's NorCal stuff, so don't be worried if you don't understand it on your first try.

...and all the dead will know: this is Hector, fool who thought he killed Achilles.

err, bioelectricity?
so you mean it's measurable?

...and all the dead will know: this is Hector, fool who thought he killed Achilles.

If anyone bothered to hook up an EEG I'm sure they'd pick up something, even if it was just the excessive strain of trying to move something with your mind.

Awesome, let's test it then.

You have an EEG in your basement or something? I don't think you can rent those.

Either way, I live in Kentucky. sweatdrop

Rats!

Well, I'm sure the university has one, so I could ask like... the Bio department or something.

Yes. Your first sentence is exactly what I've kind of been beating around... As stated again, I'm new. There are lots of people here. I've yet to see anyone making "ZOMG!" statements like iolitefire mentioned. But a close knit group I also don't see. Some good friends here and there, yes, and this gives me hope about sharing things online.

But can we get such a desired close knit group? Following your advice, Subrosian, would be a start, but I think you and I know the close knit group we want isn't quite a viable option yet. Or I could be wrong, I don't want to speak for someone else... sweatdrop

I don't want to have to be a skeptic to any one person (different from being skeptic of ideas!); that's all I'm trying to say. That's why I posted, that's why this topic is important to me. And so far that want is satisfied. 3nodding

The statements I was talking about don't happen as often on this guild, probably because they'd get called on it rather fast. However, in other guilds (which I won't mention) you'll get these threads that seem far fetched at best. Like the "I'm part werewolf, part catgirl, part dragon, part vampire, part vampyre, part vamphire, part catboy, part toaster".

The trend is that people who make such posts will often do it again. When people who usually don't make those kinds of posts make a post that seems well, flamboyant, I'm honestly a little less skeptical about it.

The way you phrased it, I could tell you weren't talking about this guild. I would imagine these sort of things happen in the Gaia forums a lot... sweatdrop

The way I see it, bragging about magical specialness is like saying you have a million dollars in your pocket. Either you're a dumbass, or you really do have a million dollars. Either way, bragging to everyone means either they won't believe you, or they'll ******** your s**t up. You really should only mention the million when you are gonna use it for something constructive. When you aren't, don't talk about it. The end.

Made me think of this quote:

Too many of us, when we accomplish what we set out to do, we exclaim: "See what I have done!" instead of saying, "See where I have led."

Yeah, I really like that. If we are gonna have magic, special destinies and powers, might as well share them with other people. Avoid people with names like Voldemort and Hitler, but still, keeping it all to yourself is lame.
