Happened with me, my mom smokes with me on occasion as does one of her friends. As does one of my friends mom and uncle..... damn... I just realized that kinda sounds ******** up hahah.

Alas, I could never concider smoking with my parents, but I do have this really cool English teacher that has talked to the class about the 60's...
Sounds like they were fun for him.
But thats my goal to invite him smoking some time...
And yeah, he's older than dust.

I was basically raised by hippies so when I got around 12 they started to explain that if people knew what they sold, I wouldn't have my parents for a long time. They grew and sold to friends. They weren't supporting terrorism or any of the propoganda out there now, they were ensuring a comfortable life. They did stop growing and still sold for a friend for a while but were really cool and laid back. By the time they separated, I slowly started smoking. @ 14 my mom said fine to her roommate who told her I was a riot high, so my mom watched as I cleared a 4 footer. It wasn't strange or anything, I was raised open minded and without curiousity. My parents would rather have me do it in the house than get busted on the streets. My mom also didn't freak when I did acid, she knew where it came from and knew it was clean. She just wished to have a little warning before hand but it was all good. It was good growing up knowing the truth about things cause a lot of my friends in school messed up and basically threw away their lives.

The Notorious Bettie so, for the record I'm a non-smoker. Anyway, a peculiar subject popped into my mind today... some people I know of are allowed by their parent(s) to smoke and some even smoke with their parent(s)! eek Don't you think that would be somewhat awkward? like for example, talking about your sex life with your parents, etc. And on another note, lucky kids- liberal parents would be spectacular 3nodding My mother knows I smoke pot, and doesn't mind that I do. She tried it once as a teenager in college and didn't like it. But she's always been very liberal with her kids; especially my brother and me. And between my brother, sister and me, we constantly keep her updated on medical facts and such concerning marijuana. Me and my mother have always had a pretty open relationship. She knows most of the bad stuff I do and I don't mind (I actually have a ball) talking to her about sex and other socially taboo subjects. Though I'll admit I still get semi weird ed out when she talks about her past experiences with sex.

I smoke with my parents all the time, we even have a couple friends my parents will smoke with. It's just kind of normal with my family. I mean, everyone on my dad side has or is smoking marijuana.
It was a little weird at first, I mean, doing illicit drugs with your parents, but after a while it just became another family activity. We'll sit around watching TV passing someone's bong around.
My dad even bought me a 50$ bong :D

*sigh* My parents still think rolling a j is the ultimate, no matter how many times my sis and I look stricken and ask them what they're doing to that poor kush. But dad's taken to using the glass pipe sis got him, so we use that for family bonding. It does make Christmas easier to get through, I'll say that much!

Yeah, my dad is the same way. My mom likes her bongs, my dad is always rolling a joint.

i remember the first time i smoked with my mom. it was the day she found out i smoked-by my sister- and i was all stressed out cuz i hated her boyfriends guts and we were yellin at eachother and that night she walks down with a fatty boubie and passes it to me the conversation went like this
mom"here hit this"
me" no thanks"-it felt to wierd-
mom"hit it!"
me "no! ok." it really didnt take much to but it still felt wierd the first couple times-oh and like a mounth later my hous ebecame the stoners hang out and i got hella populer hella quick lol

rofl It sounds like if nothing else, your mom knew that was the best way to dispel that tension and angst between the two of you! Hehe... yeah, the "say no to drugs!" education didn't really prepare any of us for the realization that our parents were once 20-something and stoned -- and (for the most part) turned out none the worse for it!
Cripes, though -- my mom's turning fifty-six thirty-nine tomorrow... oh gee, whatever shall I give her. xp

That just simply couldn't be done with my parents. They're too firm in their own ways.. or at least their religious beliefs. Even if they were up for it, which I would never believe, I'd still not smoke up with them. I know of a few other parents though who I wouldn't mind doing that with though.

I love the fact that my mom has decided to accept me smoking. She's even given me money to go buy a bong. 3nodding I've explained to her that it helps rather than hurt and all her weird misconceptions have flown out the window..
it wasn't easy tho..
I also smoke with my bf's mom which is pretty cool and not awkward at all. She smokes with her son (my bf) as well. It's like a bonding experience and it's fun!
