They had no land of which to speak, and so, unlike in other tribes or clans, the newcomer could not be accused of trespassing. It seemed that this female, Aida, had managed to gain the trust of Vitali, if he was leading her directly to the clan. The question, then, was whether or not that trust was warranted. All of the members of the clan were scant more than strangers to her, and Rina needed to become better acquainted with them, as well as the even newer comers.

"Greetings, Aida. And for what reason are you here?" Was Aida one who had heard tales of the clan already, and sought to join? Was she another wanderer, who had stumbled upon the gathering by luck? Was she simply a modifox who had become lost in the woods? Or was the reason for her coming something somewhat more sinister?

Rina did not tend much to wariness, but now with an entire clan looking to her for guidance and protection, she would have to be somewhat more cautious around the subtler dangers. Those of the intelligent, rather than the savage, kind.

Aida bowed her head for a moment to the Elder, then smiled ruefully at her question. "Mm. I fear I happened upon your...campgrounds, it seems, on accident. I am a traveler by nature you see, and when I heard voices, I checked to make sure I would not have to skirt around trouble. I fear I became engrossed watching your followers. To see a group packing piqued my curiosity, for I have never truly met a group dedicated to a wanderer's life."

She could understand the Elder's concerns, given the circumstances, and she made sure to give the right impression. "Then young Vitani and Vitali found me, and so here I am. But, if it will appease your concerns, I can tell you that at this moment, I answer to no one but myself, and I have always been too caught up in the journey to even consider harming others."

There was little reason to doubt the words of the newcomer, and furthermore, there was little a single fox could do against the entire clan, however small it might be at the moment. Rina nodded once, accepting the other's words as truth.

"We are making our final preparations before we leave on our journey. As perhaps Vitani or Vitali have already explained, we are a clan of wanderers."

The fact that they were banded together was apparent enough from the shared jewelry of the clan (even though the siblings had not yet been granted full acceptance into the clan, and thus the right to wear the jewelry), but the fact that they were wanderers was not so obvious. Had one of the siblings spoke to Aida of their lifestyle, or was the female simply that perceptive? An intriguing question, and one that could be asked later.

For now, she wanted to see what Aida would say or do, now knowing for a certainty that they were a clan of wanderers. Perhaps she would do well in the clan. Or perhaps she would be better off alone.

Either way, it was Aida's move, now.

Aida chuckled and shook her head. "They did not tell me so, but it was what I thought; I have gone through the same motions myself before, though on smaller scale." She looked out over the group, running through a list she had memorized of what needed ot be done for one to start venturing out again.

So this really was a nomadic tribe. Outwardly calm, Aida was resisting the urge to dance circles in her brain; no matter what happeened today, she would always know that a group shared her interests, her lifestyle. But...would she suit this Rina's qualifications?

Shaking off her moment of silent contemplation, she glanced back up at the Elder, smiling. "Forgive me, but I've never actually thought I'd meet a group dedicated to travel. It comes somewhat as a shock."

At once, her head snapped to face the west, eyes narrowing as she seemed to be listening to something. She sat very still for a moment, then the tension slowly left her shoulders. "You should not meet any troubles for some time as you leave," she said quietly, still looking westward. "Whatever that was, it has no interest in your clan."

Perceptive. Good senses. Aida seemed as if she would do very well as a scout. Although she was curious as to what Aida thought she...heard? sensed? in the westerly direction.

"What makes you so certain that it has no interest in the clan?" Rina had further questions for Aida, but that one was of the utmost import. If Aida were manufacturing threats, to display her skills as a scout, the meeting would not end well. For whatever Aida heard in the west, Rina herself had not heard. And that was a great cause for alarm. She had wandered alone nearly her entire life. Her sense were sharp, as she was accustomed to relying upon herself and no other. The scars on her tail reminded her what could happen when she was not as alert as she ought to be.

So then, how could this modifox, who was surely younger than herself, and thus with less experience than herself, hear things that Rina could not?

Aida thought she heard a faint tone of suspicion in the Elder's voice, but she paid it no mind; either she had imagined it, or the Elder would discover she had done nothing worth her suspicions.

"Whatever it was, it had very heavy footsteps," she explained, sounding thoughtful. "Not heavy enough to be a bear or a Modidaeva, and too heavy to be even the angriest of our kind. Perhaps a large cat of some sort. In any case, it did stop for a moment and listen, I think, because the leaves stopped rustling. I don't know what made it decide not to bother, perhaps it felt like a group of several was a waste of its time, but the sound of it moving picked up again and then slowly faded out as it continued on its own journey."

Aida knew it must seem odd to Rina that she had heard something no one else did, but Aida had learned quickly in life that she was not meant for hunting or healing or finding the right plants; she was swift and her senses were keen. Once she'd realized that she would likely spend her life out on her own, she'd spent what seemed like ages refining her natural abilities, challenging herself to try and hear everything on the side of a mountain, or in meadows full of grass that was taller than her--anything to make sure she'd survive out on her own.

Coming out of her reverie, she slowly looked back up at Rina. "If you wish, I can follow after it to try and discover what it was exactly," she told the other, letting Rina know she wasn't afraid of being caught in a lie.

"If there is something like a large cat wandering around, it would be best if we knew about it," Rina agreed. A single mountain lion could not do too much damage against a large group of modifoxes. Provided that the mountain lion did not catch them unawares, however.

"It would be best if you brought someone along with you, however, in case there are more of them. Vitani, perhaps?" It was a suggestion, not a command, so either of the two females could refuse. However, Rina was not about to send Aida out alone. There was of course the desire to be certain that Aida was not lying, but what she had said was true as well. And should the pair be attacked, Vitani's skills as a hunter would prove quite useful.

Additionally, there was the fact that Vitani seemed to not quite like or trust Aida. If Aida were lying, Rina was certain that Vitani would let it be known. And until someone else confirmed what Aida had said, she still could not help but doubt the other vixen's words.

Vitani stood as she heard her name, padding over to the other two females. "I'd be happy to go," She replied, bowing her head slightly. "Lead the way, Aida,"

Starrla

Meanwhile, not so far away from the Gypsy Clan's orginal camping area where the other Modifoxes were preparing for the move, a creature stalked it's prey carefully.

Her coat rippled in the dappled light of the clearing, it's sunset-like colors shinning lustriously, also allowing her to blending almost prefectly with her surroundings. She crept slowly through the tall, green grass, barely brushing against it so as not to alert her prey to her approach.

Her amber eyes sparkled with an intense light, her gold-tipped tail twitching in anticipation. Her ears were laying flat against the back of her head, nose sniffling the air hesaitantly. She crouched low, her leg muscles tensing for the intended pounce.

She made a flying leap, her paws flashing through the air wildly. They missed the prey drastically, and she landed a few feet away. She spun around, glaring at the intended target. The floating orbit just winked in and out at her, as if taunting her.

"Stupid Firefly.", she muttered under her breath, glaring at the offensive thing. Suddenly, another shiny-thing caught her eye, and she turned toward it. Another Firefly. Starrla smiled evily, and began the whole process all-over again.

Movement from the corner of Rina's eye caught her attention, and she turned to see what it was. Noting another modifox had arrived at the camp, Rina excused herself from Aida and the twins, and made her way over to the newcomer.

"Hello. And what brings you to a place such as this?" Was it mere curiosity that had brought this new multi-hued vixen to this place, or had she heard of the clan? Rina hoped for the latter. While official, the clan was still small, and she would be glad of more modifoxes joining.

Starrla nearly jumped out of her skin at the sound of a voice that shattered the relative quite of the clearing. Her amber eyes narrowed at the question in the words, and she whirled around to face what she thought was an intruder.

She glared at the Elder, unaware of her higher statis. She had never been in a Tribe, so all she knew about the Elder was that she was bigger than her, but didn't think that she was any stronger. 'Looks aren't everything/ The bigger they are, the bigger the sound they make when they fall.', she thought to herself.

"State your business, Stranger, and I shall state mine!", she replied, noticing the gold Medalian that hung around her neck by way of a navy-blue 'collar' and her strange markings.

((in attempts to bring this back to life I'm putting Aki back in. I'm not sure where I left off with her or where the story is so I'm just throwing her in lol))

Aki returned to the clearing to ask Rina what else she could do to help move out the camp. Upon entering the clearing she spoted the end of Rina's tail going in the bushes near by. So Aki trotted to the bushes where she found her elder... and a new modifox she hadn't seen before. This new modi looked defencive so Aki bowed her head as she approched.

"Hello." She greeted the female infront of her before bowing to Rina.

((Since Chibi has decided to not keep Starla here, I'm just going to say she disappeared.

((This is going to be horrible, because I'm so rusty on Rina-RPing it's not even funny. Well, actually, maybe it is.))

Rina watched the new female wander off, the curiosity of both sated.

She felt eager to do the same, to depart this place, and continue on her journey, but she knew that she must be patient. She had a clan only shortly, and so she must allow other foxes some time to hear of her clan, and more time still for them to come to this meeting place.

"How long should we wait, before we move again?" she asked of her foxes. She had her own thoughts, but to be a good leader, she must first learn to understand the thinking of her followers.

Aki observed the movements of her elder and could tell something was up. She seemed... Impatient? Trouble? Aki wasn't sure. Hopefully it was just impatience and everything would fall into place better once they began moving. They had been camped at the meeting place for some time now. Aki could feel herself getting anxious to move as the days went on.

"I am ready when you are, Rina. Though maybe another day or two would be reasonable?" Aki replied to the question. Though she was more than ready to move, other foxes may be on there way and it would be sad if they were left behind.
