LydaLynn
Thanks for being so kind guys.

I'll say - I love to role play. I love to immerse myself in the character and escape my normal life. And the more detailed and indepth the character is, the more I enjoy it. So while sometimes 'Hulk smash' can be fun alot of times I prefer 'eep run' and find another way to acomplish the game's goals.

As long as there are game masters who accept both options, you'll be able to find players like me who want to explore them.

Hahaha.... That just gave me a great idea...

I'll have the group come upon a monster that is unbeatable, and cannot sustain any damage. All that they can do is run, and hope that the monster doesn't catches up to them.

I prefer fantasy as well but sometimes it's fun to mix it with modern realism. I think it helps connect the two worlds writers live in.

Yea, I'll only play fantasy.

I may join a "Now" time one, but I'll just have to see and if it is good. Then I may make one of my own, that is like a war one, but no one will get killed in the Rp. Only the characters that I make will get killed, unless the person wants to leave.

I love playing characters that run away. I love playing characters that don't have a lick of magic in a fantasy RP. Characters who are real assholes are a nice touch. I love screwing characters over. xd

If someone tried to cast that much magic in one post, the next post they'd see would be an OOC of me explaining to them that their character is about to die unless they change their post. rofl

Yea... I may create a new character that does nothing but mess up in the Rp, and causes lots of encounters, then during the first boss fight, I may go and kill him off, or get him knocked out...

Hahaha... Yea, I kinda over exateraded(sp) on that one... But some all of the characters have some magic, but at level ten depending on which path they take will depend on if they will become a magic based, pure fighter, or a combo of both. I gotta add a thief class too...

I also like to have the ability of having some sort of magic. Because if I play a character with no magical ability what so ever, I get bored with him...

I've been ragging on someone for a poorly constructed profile for my Resurrection of the Cabal RP.

There are supposed to be two biographies: one for the main character, and one for the warlock's soul.

His two total up to smaller than the one that one of my "special" characters got. (Seriously, I should've waited to post the special character profile. He's a walking bundle of exceptions).

Veinkiller, about the unbeatable monster idea: the previously mentioned "special" character is basically one of those. That's why I'm going to try not to directly involve him. xd

Well they will run into him a few times, fight him, not kill him, then they have to run away. But after about the 5th encounter they will kill him.

Also, to join you're Rp they need 2 profiles?

One and a half, really.
You can check it here.

The first profile concerns their main dude, the second profile concerns the guy who's in them. Most of the things they share now (appearance, magic power, etc.) are divided up between the profiles. The second profile only requires a very small biography.

O.o That is a lot of typing. Way to much for my taste. I prefer to stick to the one paragraph formats. It makes it easier for me and the Gm.

Well, the Legion character needs more background than most characters will because he's the driving force of the entire plot.

The problem was, the one I got submitted to me didn't actually say anything about anything in the biographies, which were each about two sentences.

I hate the disappearing act in role-plays.. There's always someone who does it. Also the Macho man- whose not really a macho man. What I mean there is, someone suddenly steps outside their personality to do something their character would probably rarely or ever do.

That's not in the good way either, that's in the, "I'm going to stay this way forever, going against my own profile" -way.

Yes but you only get that problem when they give a high detailied personality description as they will find it hard to keep within those limits.

Yea, I hate when people just get up and leave the Rp, or they go away for along time. Especially the ones that have a big plot in the Rp, and the ones that you are talking too.

Actually I don't have a problem with detailed personalities, they're easier to play- easy to stick to, and you know what they would and would not do in that situation.

And by disappearing act I also meant those crappy cliche moments where someone does something- and to look cool they just walk off all serious looking or "disappear" into a puff of whatever. It really pisses me off, and they're not playing realistically. Characters just don't go,

"Hey man"

"Hey"

"See ya" I disappear into the darkness.

Now if it can be done skillfully, and written so that it doesn't sound so cliche- great, fine, do it. Just don't do it horribly.
