Kalliope hadn't expected Phoenix's story at all. Her eyes widened at the appropriate times in his story, and by the time he was finished, her ears had pulled back and a look of horror was on the kit's face.
"O-oh my gosh! That's horrible! How could anyone...!?" She stumbled over her words, seeming shocked at the idea at such a cruel person. All the Kitsusagi she had met so far were all very nice. Or, some of them weren't exactly 'nice', but she knew they meant no harm, even if they did act hostile and cold at times. But to go that far...
"...So you were almost murdered?" That's what it was called, wasn't it? When one person killed another? She frowned, but her head snapped up as Phoenix spoke again. Ah...yes. He was right. What had happened to him was in the past, and Kalliope was certain it wouldn't happen in neither the mountains, nor the realm.
Looking up as she was spoken to, Kitsumi drooped, sighing loudly. "I...I suppose. I don't know how I couldn't tell the difference. I mean, they really are very different things..." Then, she cringed, "I'm hoping there won't be a next time. I don't think I'll trust myself with serving drinks to my friends for a long while now."
Edgeworth let out a small laugh. "I see. And no, fur isn't very practical at all." Giving a small grimace, he glanced down at his paw. "I suppose it'll be nice to have in the winter, but I can't imagine what these Kitsusagi do in summer, on a day with sweltering heat." It seemed like it'd be rather...uncomfortable. As humans, they cool their bodies by sweating. What about Kitsusagi? If one were to think of dogs...
...He was not going to pant.
"Hn?" Breaking out of his thoughts, he glanced up as he heard Phoenix cut himself off. Looking about, his gaze finally fell on Saix, and he eyed Phoenix from the corner of his eye. Right, they didn't exactly get along now, did they? Clearing his throat, he gave a small nod towards Saix. "Hello, Saix."
Giving a brief nod back in return, Saix's gaze slid towards Phoenix, and he frowned. "I see." He paused, and frowned as he noticed Kitsumi slipping behind the other Kitsusagi. Still scared of him, huh? He said he wasn't going to do anything. Guess he wasn't very convincing. "Hn?" Help? "...I suppose. I don't have much else to do, at the moment." Well, that was kind of surprising. Perhaps he just wanted to get his mind off the kits.
"Sounds fine with me, Wright." Nodding his head, Edgeworth also brushed off at his suit. Kalliope giggled at the two. It was rather amusing to see the two, suit wearing Kitsusagi stand up and do similar thing, at what was almost the same time.
"Oh?" He met Phoenix's expression with a frown, before giving a short nod. Kitsumi on the other hand, looking surprised as the defense attorney looked at her, hesitated, before shaking her head. "I'll stay, I suppose."

Phoenix bit his lip at the younger Kitsusagi female's reaction to his story and immediately felt a pang of regret in his gut. He hadn't really expected her to react like that at all - maybe it hadn't been such a smart idea to tell her about something like that just yet... she was still pretty young, afterall...
"Y-yeah..." He began. "I was almost murdered. Not quite, but almost." The spiky-haired Kitsusagi slowly nodded. It wasn't something he was happy about at all, but it was an important memory for him to keep. A long tired sigh escaped him and he lowered his head, closing his eyes. Had he done the right thing there? He certainly didn't want to ruin a child's happy innocence, that was for sure. She was young, but he wasn't sure if she would have been able to handle the information or not. Maybe he should have thought more about it, before speaking. Oh well, too late now, he supposed.
He was so lost in his thoughts now, that Phoenix didn't look up again until Saix had agreed to help build his house. This made the Defense Attorney Kitsusagi snap his head up again, blinking, blue eyes fixed on the older blue-haired male Kitsusagi, staring at him, in a state of mild shock. "Ah... um... " That was all he could get out of his mouth initially. "Thanks. I really appreciate it, actually." A weak smile etched at his maw now. Maybe this Saix guy wasn't actually so bad after all...
He began to move away from the area, attention back on Kitsumi and Edgeworth. He made a small polite nod as Kitsumi stated that she would stay behind, and couldn't help but feel grateful for that. Not that he wouldn't be happy to have her around while they made their way to the Kitsusagi HQ building at all, but it meant that he would be able to speak to Edgeworth about some particular issues that bothered him without fear of interruption. It would have been somewhat awkward being listened in on, perhaps...
Once far enough away from the group, he figured he was far enough out of their earshot. He slowed to a halt, then turned, standing back his hinds, attention on Edgeworth, waiting for the other to catch up.
"I don't really know how to begin this, but ah..." He scratched the side of his head, attention drifting elsewhere. He was silent again, trying to gather his thoughts.
"When you were a human, you had a tendency to just drift off and leave the next day without saying a word to anyone. And then there was that note you left behind once - 'Miles Edgeworth chooses death'." His brows furrowed, and he felt his anger slowly rising. "When I first heard about that note you left behind, I took it seriously and went into shock. 'Edgeworth is dead, what do I do now?' I thought... that's how Detective Gumshoe felt, too. I still don't want to recall the moment I saw that note." A heavy sigh escaped him and he rested his head in his paw. "But then, well... you came back. But just as quickly, you were gone again. You really did help me out here and there, but you never really stayed around for long, either."
"I guess what I'm really trying to say here, is... you're really planning on staying now, right?" He pinned his ears back, attention on Edgeworth now. "I don't have the Magatama with me any more, so I can't tell whether you're lying or not."

A little shudder ran through the kit's idea at the very thought of murder, but she couldn't help but be curious. The world was never perfect, she knew. Though many people may seem kind, there was always a chance they were hiding something deeper inside. Kalliope tended to be a rather naive and trusting kit, but she was sure she would be able to see the difference between those who were geniunely kind, and those who were faking it.
"That...that's horrible though! I'm glad to see you're alright though, Phoenix!" Her ears were pinned back, but she offered him a small smile at the sigh. "And if you're worried about me, don't be. I have to learn about the world eventually, don't I? Even the bad points." She made a face, before smiling again and giving a small shake of her head.
Saix's mouth twitched a bit at the obvious surprise that the lawyer Kitsu was emitting. Clearing his throat, he stared at Phoenix with a small smirk. "Go and gather what you need then. We'll clear out some rocks and branches from the ground and make room."
He then watched as Kitsumi slunk out from behind Phoenix, and padded up to him, seating herself in front of him. For a moment, the two stared at each other, before Kitsumi grinned, her tails wagging. "What should I do, Saix? Huh? Huuuh?" Odd. Seemed like she was back to normal all of a sudden. Then again, it -was- Kitsumi.
Nodding towards the other, Edgeworth followed Phoenix, his eyes drifting towards the other Kitsusagi every so often, and a frown on his face. What was it that he had wanted to speak about? He had looked quite serious back there...
When he finally spoke, the prosecutor Kitsu perked up his ears, watching him carefully as he spoke. When he realized what it was he was speaking about, however, he turned his gaze away with a frown, but still listening.
"I'm aware you were upset after that note," He admitted, slowly, "However you should know as to why I left, and when I came back, you can't deny the fact that I was rather different after leaving." He sat down, his attention still turned elsewhere. "I suppose I did disappear a lot without warning."
Then, finally looking at Phoenix, he was silent for a moment, befores sighing. "Of course I am." He answered. "Afterall, where else would I go?" Then, rising again, he gave a small snort, and grin. "Can we go now?"

"Yeah, yeah..." Phoenix quickly nodded and got to his feet again, shaking himself off before continuing along on the path. "Sure, we can go again. Sorry for stopping like that, but I just wanted to get that straightened out first and foremost."
"Well, uh..." He slowed down to walk alongside the prosecuting attorney Kitsusagi, eyes drifting to the plants he was passing by. Though why his attention was there, not even he knew. Still, he found it easier than meeting the other Kitsusagi's eyes right now. "I don't know where you would leave to go to, anymore. Then again, I didn't really know where you dissapeared off to with the other times..." A frustrated noise escaped him and he quickly shook his head. "But all I could think about when you left that note behind, even after all the help I gave you and getting you acquitted of the murder charges, I felt like you had betrayed me. But then you came back, so..."
His expression was sour. It wasn't doing him any good to ponder over a past issue like this however, that was for sure. He shouldn't be holding it over his old rival's head, either. He pondered how to change the subject.
"You have to stay here now anyway. Wouldn't you agree? Besides if you're not around, who else is going to stop Kitsumi from jumping out of trees?" Just thinking about that made him happier already. He made a soft chuckle as a mental image came to mind of Kitsumi jumping out of a tree and landing right ontop of the Prosecuting Kitsusagi. "Do you expect me to climb up there after her every single time? I can't really do that as you saw earlier - one guy can only take so much."
"I know you're different now. And I'm really glad for it." He nodded slowly, the serious expression returning to his face once more. "Because I always knew deep down inside, that you weren't a terrible person. And that was the reason why I--" He paused, cutting himself off. He took a few seconds to regather his thoughts, sighing. "I just had to help you, you know. It was up to me to save you. You're really hopeless sometimes, you know that?" He gave Edgeworth a lopsided smile now.
"If you want, I can, er..." A hesitant pause, and a quick glance around the area. Wait... where was he now? He had been so preoccupied with his speech and his thoughts that he didn't even know where he was now. He had followed the same path all the way away from the house, but...
"I can tell you something else that you might want to know. I don't know if you know it or not yet, though." He scratched the side of his head. "Hey Edgeworth, um... this is completely off the subject, but are we still going the right way?"

"Thank you. It's better to talk while we walk anyways, so the others don't get worried if we don't return after a while." He brushed traces of dust and dirt from his suit and cravat, before starting along again.
While Phoenix's gaze may have been elsewhere, Edgeworth locked his gaze on the other Kitsusagi, a small frown visible on his face. His ears flicked as the male spoke, and after a moment, he turned his hard gaze away. He -did- go away a lot, didn't he? "Look, Wright, though it may not mean much now, I -am- sorry that you felt betrayed when I left. That wasn't my intention and, as you said yourself, I returned after." Then he grimaced, "Seems I can never stay away for long. Either I wish to return, or I'm forced back."
Though he had seemed unbothered at first, the conversation was now obviously making him uncomfortable. Ears flattening slightly, he eyed Phoenix from the corner of his eye.
Relief was visible on his face as the subject was changed, but he made a face at the subsitute subject. "Yes, I suppose I do I have to stick around now, especially with having to watch over Kitsumi." He shook his head. "She's an adult Kitsusagi, and yet I wonder how she can act so much like an immature child. And I'm hoping she has the common sense to not to try climbing into trees anymore. Aside from you, only Kalliope would be able to help if she tried that again, and Kalliope is but a kit."
As the conversation made another turn, he found himself sighing loudly, averting his gaze as Phoenix spoke, hiding his embarassment. "Wright," He said, stiffly, "If you said that deep down, I wasn't a terrible person, does that mean you usually see me as a terrible person?" He turned his mocking, but instinctively cool eyes onto the other Kitsusagi. Then, he snorted. "I'm hopeless? I see you as more hopeless. And of course, Butz is even more hopeless." Well. Looked like he was back to his usual, attitude-y self.
"You can what?" He rose a brow, before turning to glance around just as Phoenix did. Slowly, he looked around, before a flicker of irritation showed on his face.
"Try me." He said, before giving a small shake of his head. "And as for if we're going the right way...I don't believe so."

Phoenix came to a halt, then moved to balance himself on his hinds. The spikey-haired Kitsusagi stood tall as he peered down the path they had been travelling on. It was a tad hard to balance on his hinds as a Kitsusagi, but he himself was more than used to the feeling of standing on two legs. He had done it without a single thought before he had arrived here, and he just wished he could do it more now...
"Well, uh... which way IS the right way then? I thought for sure that this was the path we took when I first got here, but..." He lowered himself back down again, looking dissapointed. "Great – are we lost? We need a map. Or a compass. Or some other...” He stopped for a moment, waving a paw as he tried to think. “...searchy thing that could be useful. Heck, even those water-finding rods might help right about now! I think they're called... um, dowsing rods? Something like that. Whatever. Seems like we're lost."
He made a tiny sound at the back of his throat, pinning his ears back, seeming to be debating something over in his mind. He was normally an upbeat guy, cheery, and one to smile and grin no matter the situation. But that was all gone right now - something was clearly bothering him.
"Despite all your comings and goings, I'm glad you're back, Edgeworth." His voice was quiet as he spoke, and he ran a paw through the spikes on the left side of his head, still thoughtful. “I'd like to think that my helping you out wasn't for nothing. Besides... Maya's not here. Larry's not here. Neither is Franziska, thankfully. And I know for a fact that Mia's certainly not here..." His ears lowered with sadness as he thought of his mentor. "So, without anyone else around that we knew, it would get kind of lonely otherwise, wouldn't it? It's... good to keep a friend around.”
Phoenix flinched, gritting his teeth at Edgeworth's interpretation of his comment. "I-I didn't mean for it to sound like that at all!" He quickly protested. "Um... I... I meant other people, Edgeworth. I mean, you got labelled as the Demon Prosecutor, which isn't very pleasant if you ask me. I knew you from when we were kids, and you certainly weren't terrible back then.” He averted his eyes to the ground in front of him, finding it much easier to look at. “You never were terrible. I never said you were, either.” His ears were completely flattened against the sides of his skull now.
"I can, um..." He began, shaking his head shortly afterwards. "Actually, maybe I'll tell you another time, huh?” He knew for a fact that Edgeworth would not at all be impressed with his starting of a topic, and then not going into it at all. There was not much he could do about that now, however. Maybe a quick change of subject could get him out of trouble.
“Come on, let's just keep going. I'm pretty sure one of these paths will lead to the shack one way or another. Then once we start building, we can build a bonfire out of the wood offcuts and toast marshmallows." He grinned. "Kitsumi would like that I'm sure. Uh, provided she doesn't burn herself, somehow. Or catch fire."
He turned his attention skywards, eyeing some clouds overhead. “It better not rain, though...”
It wasn't the rain he was concerned about. The mere fact of seeing dark clouds in the sky made Phoenix more concerned and troubled than he already was. He seriously hated thunderstorms, he was afraid of them. Getting caught in one was the last thing he wanted right now - he was sure Edgeworth would have a field day laughing at him over that.

The Kitsusagi frowned and edged away as Phoenix rose onto his hind legs. "If you fall, don't fall on me." Edgeworth warned, before he turned to take a look around. Perhaps they should have paid more attention...
"...Unfortunartely, as this is the way opposite to my home, I'm not that familar with it..." He frowned, as he glanced around at the unfamilar area. "We don't have any of those on hand." He added, as Phoenix spoke, "But we can always try back tracking, I suppose. It won't be easy..." He had been about to suggest Phoenix use his wings to fly up and take a look around, when he remembered the other Kitsusagi had injured his wing not long ago. How quickly it had slipped his mind.
Then of course, there was the fact Phoenix was afraid of heights, not that he could exactly blame him. He certainly had been through quite a few things as a human.
Edgeworth shifted, clearing his throat gruffly with more embarassment. He really wasn't used to such things being said to him. "Yes well...I plan on sticking around for a long while right now, and I suppose that it's nice to have an old friend around. The change from a human to a Kitsusagi is rather unsettling at first, but it makes it easier if you can talk to someone you know about it." Then, he heaved a sigh, "I suppose it would get rather lonely. One can always make new friends, but..." He trailed off. After his childhood, making 'friends' hadn't exactly come easily to him.
"...Wright. I was joking." He said, voice flat. Maybe he just wasn't cut out for trying to make jokes. "And I know what I was labeled as. I was...quite...merciless back then." He didn't want to admit it, but it was after he met Phoenix, and all the others that he changed for the better.
"Another time?" Irritated, he opened his mouth, looking as if he were about to protest, before clamping it shut. "...Later then. When we're not completely lost." He agreed. No, he indeed wasn't impressed, but he -was- still curious as to what Phoenix had to say to him, which would explain why he was so irked that the topic had been dismissed for the time being.
Grimacing, he eyed the paths wearily. "One of these paths. Depending on which one we take, it could take us 5 minutes, or 5 hours." Then, he let out a soft chuckle, and shook his head. "Perhaps we should find Kitsumi a long stick, to roast her marshmellow. A very long stick. Her catching on fire doesn't seem unlikely, does it?"
Flinching, he turned his attention back to the other male. "Don't jinx it, Wright!"
Looking up, a look of annoyance settled over his features. Getting himself and his lovely suit soaked was the last thing he wanted to happen. "Let's make haste, then."

"Yeah, um..." He began awkwardly. "I had something to tell you, but I'll tell you another time..." He mumbled, barely audible now. "...maybe later..."
Phoenix's attention was glued to the sky now. Was it just him, or were those clouds getting darker and gathering in number as each second passed?
"Sorry, I'm not trying to jinx it!" The male Kitsusagi loudly yelped, flinching. "But you're right... let's make haste." He continued ahead, blue eyes staring down the path, confused. He felt utterly lost. "Don't really want to be caught out in the middle of a storm. This suit is 100% cotton so it won't shrink if it gets wet, but still..." A soft whimper escaped him - he was afraid of thunderstorms, and just thinking about loud cracks of thunder and flashes of lightning made him more and more worried than he already was. "OK, so... which way?"
He glanced at the paths ahead, turning his attention to Edgeworth as if asking for advice.
"I've been there before... to that headquartes building shack, whatever you want to call it. But I think we've gone the wrong way." He sighed. "Oh, who cares, let's just get undercover somewhere before it starts to rain!"
He just wanted to cower under something sturdy and lightning proof now. Phoenix's normal calm relaxed composure was all gone, replaced now by fear and nervousness.

"...If it can wait, it can't be that important, can it?" Edgeworth grumbled, to himself really, but let out a sigh. Raising a brow at Phoenix, he nodded. "Alright then, Wright. Later."
Tilting his head backwards, Edgeworth frowned deeply at the sky, ears pulled back and more irritation flickering over his features. This didn't look good. They'd have to hurry up, or risk getting caught in heavy rain or worse - a storm.
"Not -trying-, but you probably still are!" He said, before nodding rather hastily. "The last thing I want it for my suit to be soaked in the rain. I just washed it yesterday." His ears pricked up when he caught what he assumed was a whimper. Surprised, he turned his attention onto the other Kitsusagi, raising both brows. "Wright..." He started, slowly and catiously, "Are you afraid of storms?" Why would he be afraid of storms? It wasn't as if he had ever been in some incident during a sto - ah...actually, he had, once before, hadn't he? Was that what had started this fear?
"Hnn?" Snapping out of his thoughts, he blinked at Phoenix blankly for a moment, before turning to look at the paths. He looked from one to the other. "If only I were more familiar with this place..."
"Yes, I think we went the wrong way as well. It's too late now, and I suppose you're right. We should just find shelter for now - we can find our way back later on."
From the corner of his eye, Edgeworth watched Phoenix. Clearing his throat, he spoke, "It's fine, Wright. Try to relax. We'll find shelter."

"I'm trying to relax... I'm trying to relax, really!" Phoenix said hurriedly as his attention darted all around him. The spikey-haired male was now highly nervous and wound-up as he looked for anyplace that seemed good enough to seek refuge in. As long as it was out of the open air...
He stopped, breathing hard, whacking himself between the eyes with a paw. "Keep it together, Phoenix!!" He thought to himself.
"I-I umm..." He began, trying to sound confident over his worried state. "I'm not afraid of storms! Whatever gave you that idea, Edgeworth? Don't be silly." Phoenix gave the prosecuting attorney one of his best lopsided grins. "I'll be alright, just keep moving ahead." He turned his attention ahead of them, also looking at the different paths ahead. "Ah, assuming you know which way you're going... it would be silly to move ahead without a clue where you're going."
His eyes widened as his sensitive ears picked up a distant low rumble, and he looked skywards, his entire body going stiff and tense for a few moments. The Kitsusagi looked positively petrified.
"Damn it!" He yelped. "Okay, um... maybe you're right after all. We should find shelter, huh? I don't care if we're lost now... you just, er, lead the way, OK, Edgeworth?" He lightly nudged the grey-haired Kitsusagi in the shoulder, trying to push him onwards and encourage him to move. "You obviously have a better idea of this area than I do, you've been here longer. So um... lead the way."

"You aren't doing a good job then." He grumbled, closing his eyes for a moment and rubbing at his head. "Take deep breaths - nothing is going to happen, I can assure you of this. The worst thing that can occur from a storm is us getting soaking wet." He frowned for a moment, thinking about the others who were still back at Phoenix's land. Surely they would have all returned home by now...that meant there was only one person he had to worry about now.
Edgeworth watched Phoenix, amused when the other Kitsusagi hit himself between his eyes. "Just because people around here don't need an attorney, doesn't mean you should try killing your braincells."
"Oh, I don't know..." He grumbled to himself, under his breath, "Perhaps what gave me the idea was your obviously rushed and panicked actions." Heaving a sigh, he looked at the paths again, before grumbling a, "To be honest, I'm not completely sure which way it is."
Noting the spikey-haired Kitsusagi's reaction to the soft rumble, he padded up behind him, clapping him on the shoulder. "It's just a little thunder, is all."
Nodding his head, Edgeworth gave a little stretch, before turning to look at Phoenix. "Alright, alright, just stop nudging me." Examining one path, and then the other, the male hesitated. He hoped he knew more about this area than he thought he did. "Let's go on the right path, then."

Phoenix kept his head and ears low as he followed close behind Edgeworth. Blue eyes attentively looked all around him, darting up at the sky, then back ahead of him, nervous. The storm hadn't completely settled and began yet, but it was still clearly threatening to. The spiky haired Kitsusagi managed to calm himself somewhat, enough to think rationally, but he was still on edge.
"For both our sakes," He said in a rather concerned voice, "I hope that this is the right path. Even if it's not the right path, as long as it leads to somewhere sheltered from the storm, I'm not going to care - that's good enough! Being wet is something I can tolerate. Being zapped by lightning is something that can really put a downer in your day." He made a soft weak chuckling sound and grinned pathetically. "Don't worry, Edgeworth, I'm not going to kill any brain cells. I kind of need them and value them quite a bit."
"Let's hope luck is kind to us," He sighed. "Because right now, all I see is trees, trees, and even more trees. This really isn't very good at all..." He continued to follow alongside Edgeworth, hoping somewhere safe to hide would show up soon. All he saw for the time being was the path, and more trees in the forest.
"Let me tell you now," He frowned. "I'm really getting sick of the wilderness."

Heaving a sigh, Edgeworth turned to look over her shoulder for a minute, checking on the other Kitsusagi. He could only give a little shake of his head after a moment, before turning his attention to the front again.
"Don't worry, Wright. I'm certainly there's shelter just ahead." Or so, He hoped. They were bound to find shelter...eventually. But it was hard to tell exactly when. "And remember, the likelihood of being struck by lightning is very slim. This still applies to us, even though we're no longer humans." He hesitated, but then emitted a soft snort. "Glad to hear that. Best to keep all your braincells while you can."
"Optimism, Wright." The male urged, but it was easier said then done - mainly due to the fact that Edgeworth himself was never a very optimistic person.
Despite the situation, Edgeworth laughed softly. "You'll have to get used to it. There's not much we can do about it, right now." He then silenced himself, as something small came into view in front of them, beyond some trees. A shed? It looked rather small...surely Phoenix didn't want to use that as shelter?
Edgeworth could feel a grimace finding it's way onto his face, and his ears flattened. He clamped his mouth shut, saying nothing about the shed and hoping against all hopes that Phoenix wouldn't notice it. He'd rather get stuck in the rain then degrade himself by hiding in something like that.

Phoenix wasn't becoming any more or less happier as they continued to travel. And as long as the storm didn't start, or go overhead, he would probably stay at that same level of concern, yet keep his level head.
"I hope you're right... I just really want to get out of here. Even a hole in the ground would be good right now." He sighed. "I may be optomistic, but heck, even you'd like to find something apart from trees, huh? Besides... lightning strikes the tallest object. It's just a matter of not standing under a tree, which is kind of impossible in a forest."
He kept his eyes on the road ahead of them, attentive. When he saw the small pathetic abandoned shed, he immediately ran ahead towards it, elated.
"Look, Edgeworth! We've been saved!" The spikey-haired male Kitsusagi called out, charging ahead on all fours to go move inside of the shed. It certainly was old and abandoned - Phoenix was able to confirm that very quickly as he moved in the doorway. The inside of the shed smelled musty, like dead pine wood. One corner of the roof was falling down, and there was a pile of rotten old firewood near the door. Phoenix cared about none of that however - It was out of the weather, and more importantly, safe.
"Come on in, Edgeworth!" He moved his head out the doorway again, practically grinning from ear to ear at his old friend and court rival. "It's no picnic, but it's shelter. It will protect us from the storm, but I doubt it's the best place to be during an earthquake." He wagged his tails. "So Edgeworth, what do you think? Should we hide here until the storm blows over?"

"I suppose that getting out from under the trees would be a good idea..." He agreed, "The last thing we want is to have our tree get struck by lightning." That'd certainly...result in some unwanted consenquences, wouldn't it?
He walked calmly as they neared the shed, hoping against all hopes that Phoenix wouldn't notice it. After hearing the other Kitsusagi's happy call, however, he knew it had been spotted. Gritting his teeth together, he turned to look at the shed with a short, 'Oh'. No. No no no. He was not going to stay in something like that. He refused to use something that run down as shelter.
Of course, that's what he was thinking. It was hard to voice these thoughts when Phoenix looked completely elated to have found a form of shelter, even if it was run down. Ears pinned flat, he sat at the doorway as Phoenix went in, staring at the blue-suited Kitsusagi as he poked his head out again. For a moment, it looked as if he would refuse, before he let out a sigh. "...Alright, Wright. We'll stay in here for now. I don't know how much shelter an old, run down shed can provide for us but..." Trailing off, he padded into the shed grudginly.
Stupid storm.
