((Well I would recommend Just stringing together sentances that depict what you think about when you think of your father. A poem in general is just lines of prose spun together. The better ones are usually those which get a point of across without trying to sound too flowery.))

That's where we just write down everything we feel about the topic and then organize it.
That's what I'm doing now.))
