just made a AMV for the first time. it a Ode to this really good comic book called Dreamkeepers. and though i share it to you.

I think it's the olympic tourch.

I was going though my stuff, and found some of the stuff i did in art class. one thing i always like was this scratch art deal we had to do. where it was this black top where you scratch it to get to the white stuff underneth (not sure what that stuff is called).
anyways, i made this while i was in 11th grade. At the time, I was really into FLCL. so I made a a scratch art of a page from the manga. I seem to only be really good at drawing if i have something to look at and trace with my eyes.

i think i did pretty good.

there where two other pic i could have chosen from, but i still have sketches, I did before picking witch image to use..

I don't know what it is, but i love Hajime Ueda's art style.

Aaah, I see. I guess I just never picture Batman drinking alcohol.

The idea was either meant to be that it was like the scene in Batman Year One where Bruce pretends to be a womanizing drunk in front of Jim Gordon when Alfred quips later that it was ginger ale, so not really a martini, or that it was simply pushing the already ridiculously "masculinized" 90s style Batman over the top and into truly apocryphal territory.

I would never heedlessly violate such an important part of his characterization, I assure you. wink
