Looking to redeem himself Huey turned his attention to the Ring Toss game. Back on Five Island his attempt at the game had been less than stellar but now, as he stood in front of the counter his fingers rubbing over the first ring in his hand, he refused to even let the memory resurface. There was no time to let such 'unpleasant memories' water down his determination or potentially psyche him out. Deep breathe in, deep breathe out. The first two rings fell across the bottles with a satisfying clink, prompting him to cheer. The last ring hit the side of the bottle with a sharp crack, causing the targeted bottle to wobble, before it fell to the ground. 2 out of 3. He was content with that. Huey took his five tickets from the attendant with a smile, which he kept even as he turned away from the game; if only for Tybalt's sake. For the past few games he'd been watching his trainer's reaction, ready to dart off and find another 'Dance, Dance Revolution' to play the moment he showed any sign of disappointment.

✿ ❀ Isis blinked in surprise as Dumuzi told her tale. Honestly, she would have never suspected Dumuzi to be the type of person to steal anything. Or.... She supposed in this case, she supposed long term borrowing. At least it was from family, though Isis knew that didn't actually make the act any better. She had done it all for the sake of earning her parent's pride, to prove she was just as good as her brother in battling, which ended up a flop based on Dumuzi mentioning back on three island that she'd turned out to hate battling. Erghhh... How should she handle this? It was clear that Dumuzi already regretted her actions, but it wasn't like she could go back and change them now. Isis gave a slight sigh and smiled, gently patting Dumuzi's head when she bemoaned the fact that her mother was probably going to rip her face off. "Well... To be brutally honest, stealing pokemon from your own family isn't exactly a great way to go about earning pride from them... But I'm not going to beat that dead ponyta. You've clearly learned that lesson the hard way and I'm sorry you had to go through that. The best thing you can do now is try to make amends. I won't lie to you, your mother will probably be very angry with you at first, but if you face her, take the heat, and apologize, it'll be like ripping off a bandage. It might hurt at first, but it'll get better, and you won't have to worry about taking it off later." Isis reasoned with her.
Yes Dumuzi had stolen a pokemon, but Isis didn't think less of her. She knew Dumuzi was a good person and she hadn't done anything with ill intent. She was just young and not thinking things through well. Thankfully though Leon came to lighten the mood with stuffed pokemon and his usual cheery mood. Dumuzi quite seemed to like her Diancie, and Isis loved her Arcanine. They talked about how Leon's reward from Lady Selphy was a GS ball, which Isis recognized the name of immediately and Dumuzi seemed to pick up on as well, asking if that was the same type of ball that her.... Special Pokemon, had been in. Isis giggled and silently appreciated Dumuzi's secrecy on her Celebi. "Yeah, that's the pokeball I got Hinata in. I don't have it anymore, it sorta broke when I got her out of it, but I didn't know there were more~ I'll have to look into trying to get one for her again~" Isis mentioned cheerily.
The attention from the group then moved to Theo when he approached and asked to join them, and all seemed to approve, however Theo asked Dumuzi if she was okay, and Isis glanced over. "Sick? What are you talking about Theo?" Dumuzi seemed just fine to her. All the girl had done when Theo returned was snuggle her Diancie and glance down a bit, though her greeting to Theo was a bit softer, if Isis had to pick any one thing that was out of place, but even then it was a stretch to attribute that to sickness, or something being wrong enough to notice it and call Dumuzi out on. Her somewhat settled demeanor and the snuggling of the plushie could have happened for any number of reasons, and most of them weren't even bad ones. One of the most obvious was that she had just danced a bunch with Isis, so she was probably a little tired if nothing else. Even then, Isis wasn't sure why it constituted such concern from Theo.
She looked over Dumuzi with a soft smile. "Hee~ Did I wear you out from all that crazy dancing? I'm pretty beat myself to be honest, but I wanna keep dancing now that Leon's back again. There's some benches over there if you wanna rest your legs for a bit though Du." Isis offered, indicating the benches just a few feet away, still close enough to the dance floor though that Dumuzi wouldn't feel too far away. It was perfectly logical that Dumuzi was just a bit tired, though if she had the energy to keep dancing, Isis certainly wouldn't be a hypocrite and stop her. She then looked to Leon and smiled at him. "So my hands are free again, and you're back, shall we continue our dance?" Isis offered her hand to the lifeguard with a grin, happy that he was back again. ""✿ ❀

Leon raised an eyebrow as Theo asked if Du was sick. She... didn't look sick at all to him. Isis took the words out of Leon's mouth. "Ah, i see how it is. Pulling out all the crazy dance moves while I'm gone, huh?" Leon smirked after Isis mentioned that Dumuzi must be tired from the dancing. Then, Kai was blowing bubbles out his nose. The raven haired male chuckled a bit at his starter. Such a goof. Leon looked to Isis now as she asked him for a dance. "Sure thing, Princess." the lifeguard smirked. An older song with a good beat happened to come on, and Leon felt like it was time to do some serious dancing. After this dance, he'll see if Dumuzi is ready for more dancing herself. The dark haired male gently took Isis' hand, pulling her close to him. It had been a while since he actually danced like this, but he still managed to have that swing in his step, so to speak. It sure wasn't ballroom dancing, nor could it actually be strictly tango, but it certainly was more professional than his previous dance moves. He twirled Isis every now and then, dipping her before sweeping her back up again, one hand on her waist while the other led her.

”Well, in my defense… he wasn’t using her and he had no plan to use her and to be honest, he probably hasn’t even noticed that she’s gone yet.” Dumuzi replied, her face soured ever so slightly at the thought of pokemon being thought of as nothing more than objects to be collected and just being left in the PC box to rot away as though they weren’t living things. It was one of her sore spots, admittedly, it was her own personal little berserk button that didn’t take much to push. She sighed and closed her eyes. ”I know… but before I do that, I want to at least have something to show for it. If I returned home with nothing after all of this, not only will my parents be furious with me for what I’ve done, they will likely only be even more disappointed with me.” Dumuzi opened her eyes and gave Isis a weak smile. She was happy that Isis at least wasn’t thinking anything less of her. Still though, she wanted to give her mom time to cool off at least, the woman was terrifying and she could hold a grudge if she wanted to. She had a feeling that she was still going to do horrible, unspeakable things to her when she got back home. Then again, maybe it would be how she returned home as well, that might be something to worry about as well… ”I’ll talk to her, just at a later date. I promise. I won’t run away from it forever.” She promised Isis, and she planned to keep that promise too.
Dumuzi raised her eyebrows a bit when the pokeball was described to her. ”Wow, that’s an impressive little pokeball! And I didn’t know you could transfer pokemon from one pokeball to the next. I thought that it was a done deal once that ball locked.” Perhaps it was her ignorance or perhaps it was something that she just never heard of or experienced before. She thought about it though, maybe different pokemon were more comfortable in different pokeballs? If so, maybe she should think about the different pokeballs and get those to replace the ones that she had the pokemon in now as she didn’t want her pokemon to be uncomfortable after all. They might look better in contests too if she used those pokeballs with certain seals. Hey… that might not be a bad idea now that she thought about it. It was about then that Theo came in and thoughts started to plague her mind and cause her to withdraw a little bit as she desperately tried to short through this revelation that she was having and the questions that came with them. It took her a few moments to collect herself in order to answer Theo’s questions, he then asked if she was feeling sick or something. ”Oh, no! I’m fine, really. I’m just…” Dumuzi was then looked over by Leon and Isis. It seemed that Kai picked up on something as well and gave her a bit of a gentle nudge before using his bubble attack out his nose. Dumuzi’s eyes softened and her smile became a little more gentle as she reached up and rubbed Kai’s elongated face as thanks for trying to cheer her up. It did make her feel better though it did nothing to calm the raging thoughts and memories that stirred like a flurry in her mind. It was Isis who asked if she was tired and Du quickly latched onto that. She didn’t want to spoil the mood with her sudden gender dysphoria, not that she was confident in the way that she could explain to her friends. ”Y-yeah, I guess I tired myself out a bit, between all the games and the dancing I guess my batteries are a little low. But I can go on for a little while longer. Don’t worry.” She did her best to place on that happy face again.
”Well, yes, actually. Isis and I had our little dance off and judging by how much we were laughing… it was a tie. I think I may have won a little bit though with my ‘Jump to it’ dance. She seemed to get a kick out of that.” Dumuzi mused a bit. She was rather interested to see what sort of crazy dance moves that Leon was going to pull out, though she did step aside a bit and let Isis and Leon have the dance floor so that they could have room to dance. Her smiled died down a bit and her eyes softened and became distant, she wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to keep up with the dance moves though, if someone wanted to dance with her she would humour them, but she wouldn’t have much energy for it. Maybe she should have a seat after all, just for a few minutes of quiet to see if she could calm her thoughts down. Maybe later though, she didn’t want to miss out on all the fun that Isis and Leon were having. Man, Leon could really dance when he wanted to! Between the twirls and the dips Du wasn’t sure if she was jealous or not. She reached up and stroked Kai’s arm while she stood there half lost in her thoughts. She looked over at Theo. ”Are you going to try and dance, or did you join us to try and be social?” Dumuzi asked with some level of amusement. She knew that Theo wasn’t all the comfortable with dancing so she supposed that the later was something that could be a possibility.

Aston finally managed to get his three little bundles of hyperactivity away from the games and to the party where Theodore was. With Nachtigal laying on his head like a hat, dozing off, Aston made his way to Theodore and his trio of....Friends? Honestly, Aston wasn't really sure. But, either way, it didn't matter. As long as they weren't trying to kill him. Once he reached them, he rested an arm on Theodore's head, making him lean forward a bit."Here. Another delivery from yours truly....Nachtigal, hand them over."The Piplup gave Aston the tickets and he held them out to Theodore. Looking between Isis and Leon, and then Dumuzi, Aston gave a friendly smile. He was trying not to act too knightly or official for Theodore's sake."Ma~!"Sofie and Presa decided to dance, but this time it was better since there was music. Theo stayed quiet. He really didn't know how to respond to their conversation. It was all about Dumuzi again, and really, he didn't want to get into the middle of it because he'd probably go the extra mile to help him. Which would result in bigger drama and a larger punishment. Still....He wished he had some sort of advice to give. But, Isis seemed to nail it perfectly. Anything Theo said would have just made things awkward. However, the Pokéball caught his attention. It helped the Pokémon inside get stronger faster then? Sweet! Theo would take eight hundred of those. Leon put the ball away and Theo pouted. Darn. He didn't get a good look at it. Well, he'd just research it later. It's what he did best.
The three responded to Theo's concern for Dumuzi. Aside from Dumuzi's assurance, he felt like they thought he was an idiot. Seriously? No one but Kai noticed the air shift around Dumuzi? Theo wasn't overreacting. Maybe they just weren't able to tell because of the party."Well, if you say so, Dumuzi....You can talk to me if you're upset, though."Unless Dumuzi was still mad at him for whatever reason he'd gotten so angry with him earlier. In which case....Fine. He'd leave Dumuzi alone if he told him to or he angered him again. Theo didn't want to, but he didn't want to be around someone who was always going to be angry with him for reasons unspecified even more.
Isis and Leon ditched them to go dancing again, and Theo tilted his head. Well, at least they were having fun. Theo looked over at Dumuzi as he asked him if he'd come to dance or socialize, and Theo sighed."I came to--"Aston suddenly leaned on him, pushing Theo's head forward with his arm before giving him tickets. Did Aston always have to use him as an armrest? Well, at least he was relaxed and not being his usual serious self."Thanks....Why are you playing my games for me anyway?"Theo pocketed the thirty tickets and then gave Dumuzi an apologetic smile."I came to socialize. I forgot all about the dancing aspect. I....I really don't want want to, but you three will just outcast me more if I don't. I have to do something, even if I don't want to, right?"Olivia watched Presa and Sofie, realizing Sofie was the Mawile Theo saved from that poacher. What was she doing with Aston? Huh....Weird. Jumping off Theo's shoulder, Olivia went over and joined Presa and Sofie in their dance. They were all to happy to have her join.

Flora moved to the fortune wheel, though she didn't know why she even gave is a spin. She had snatched up so many tickets from that dumb Zorua that Natalia would probably be set to buy whatever she wanted and then some, but it couldn't hurt to get a few more tickets just in case. ✿ ❀ Isis nodded in understanding as Dumuzi mentioned that the pokemon she had taken wasn't being used, nor did her brother have any plans to use it, and it probably hadn't been noticed missing yet. Isis frowned. She knew Du wasn't a thief, she knew that Du had good intentions when taking the pokemon, but hearing her explain this made Isis feel even better about her support of the young coordinator. "Y....eaaahhhh in that case he doesn't deserve that pokemon." Isis said with an unimpressed expression and flat tone. However, Isis still firmly believed that Dumuzi should try and make amends with her family sooner rather than later. However, she did understand that Du at least wanted to return after having made something of herself, because she couldn't come back with nothing, that made things so much worse. Isis messed with her bangs, but then eventually nodded, accepting Dumuzi's promise to talk to her mom eventually. "Alright. I'll take it." Isis chuckled, giving Du a smile.
Isis was somewhat surprised Dumuzi didn't know you could transfer pokemon into different pokeballs, but then again she was inexperienced, so she really shouldn't have been too surprised. "Well, it's not so much transferring as it is the mechanic of releasing a pokemon and recapturing them, so don't go trying it on any pokemon you don't trust would stay with you to complete the pokeball transfer, okay?" Isis warned.
Theo then seemed to grow worried about Dumuzi, though Isis and Leon couldn't sense that there was something wrong. Kai could, but then again, he was a pokemon, and could sense emotions that normal humans couldn't, but Isis took Kai's nose bubble blowing as just him goofing off as per usual, and assumed Dumuzi's very subtle change in demeanor was just her being tired from all the dancing they'd done. Plus Du even insisted that she was fine... Isis chuckled as Leon joked that Isis had pulled out all the crazy moves while he was gone. "Heh, I don't know, I think Du had me beat in the crazy move department." Isis tried to insist, but Dumuzi pushed that it had been a tie based on how much they were both laughing, though she admitted she may have won with the Jump On It dance. "Ohhh man, yeah that was great!" Isis snickered, then asked Leon if they should continue their dance now that he was back, glad that he accepted and waved to Theo and Dumuzi. They would stay near, and would be back, but right now Isis wanted to have a moment to dance with her date.
She had expected more silly tomfoolery, but then as the new song started up, Isis found that this one had a good beat to it, one she could probably formally dance to, but she would continue the silly dancing if Leon did. However, much to Isis' surprise, Leon pulled her closer, and took the dance seriously, moving in rhythm with the island beat of the music. At first Isis stumbled a bit, not quite prepared for what Leon was doing, but she eventually settled into a nice groove, following Leon's lead with ease. She found herself smiling and giggling as he moved her about the dance floor, even occasionally twirling and dipping her. This was no ballroom tango, a bit more modernized and freeform, but with enough structure that Isis could actually dance to it. "Haha~ Hey, since when did you learn to dance like this??" Isis asked, a bit stunned, though it was a pleasant surprise, she had to admit. ✿ ❀

He was very happy to see her mood brighten up so much from earlier now that they were dancing. The dark haired male pulled her up and close to his body before getting back into the swing of the dance. She asked him about how he learned to dance like this. "Oh, you know... Might have something to do with my Italian roots, la mia piccola focaccina~" he replied, then twirled her a bit before bringing her back to him. "Actually, I did have some practice and lessons when i was younger. Dancing is also one of the ways i like to keep in shape." he added as they continued to dance.
While his trainer and Isis were off dancing, Kai looked over as there was a new person with his little buddy Theo. The gator wasn't sure what to think of the man, but gave a friendly grunt in greeting. He was still holding the large arcanine plush for Isis, and well, the music had him swaying. It wasn't long before he was sort of dancing with the plush nearby, tail curling about behind him. He blew bubbles out his nose again at Dumuzi, grunting as if he wanted her to join him in dancing, especially after it seemed Theo still wasn't here to dance. And it wasn't like Dumuzi would be abandoning the group to do so.

Dumuzi giggled a bit when Isis reached out and started to play with her bangs while they were talking about her little snatch and run with her brother’s pokemon. She was pleased that someone could see it her way and which way she was coming from when it came to this situation. Isis looked as though she wasn’t impressed with the idea of someone just collecting pokemon either and Dumuzi knew she had found a kindred spirit in this blonde girl. Dumuzi’s smile relaxed a bit when Isis said that she could accept Dumuzi’s promise of going back home to meet up with her mom to soothe things over after she got something out of her journey. She seemed to have a plan then, and it was one that she was comfortable with doing right now. ”That’s good, ‘cause I wasn’t going to budge on that plan.” Du teased a bit. She wished that her older sibling was more like Isis instead of the cold jerk that she had right now, she wished she had an older sister that she could just be… herself around like this without judgement. She could see them spending time together, just… gossiping and hanging out while they do their everyday stuff. She doubted that Isis would have just left her in the cold like her brother did when they were growing up. She didn’t understand where they had started to go in such different paths. It was almost like he just suddenly turned around and pretended that she didn’t exist at all. It hurt, and she did feel betrayed by it. She wasn’t sure what she did to cause this sudden shift, but it would have had to have been something. Maybe the kids were bullying him too, and that caused him to break away and put distance between them. She could easily see that. Dumuzi made some mental notes when she was told about the pokeball transfer, she didn’t plan to use it too much, but maybe when she caught her Carbink and Mawile would be a little more comfortable in a Duskball and maybe Vivienne would be a little more at home with a pokeball for water types captures? She had some time to think about it anyway, she was likely going to have to search for the pokeballs at some point, granted she did have a few now that she could use if she came across the pokemon from the caves… Dumuzi gave something of a sigh when Theo mentioned that he felt like an outcast among them. ”Theo, we aren’t outcasting you, but it’s kind of hard to get to know you and carry on conversations when you don’t talk to us about… well, anything really. It also makes it kind of hard to get close to you when we bring up a conversation that you might be interested in and you get all huffy about us trying to involve you. I mean, in regards to the battle, you could have offered to do it some other time or perhaps just answered Isis and told her that you weren’t too interested at the moment. Then you could have offered a bit more to the conversation to deflect it to something that you were interested in, favourite pokemon, places you’ve seen… anything really. We can’t have conversations with you when you make dead end answers or don’t ask questions to keep it going or getting involved period.” Dumuzi’s face soured a bit. ”If you think it’s such a chore to come and talk to us, then why did you come back?” He didn’t want to socialize with them? That was a stab to Dumuzi, all this time she was trying to make conversation and get to know him, and he didn’t care at all, he didn’t want to get to know her more and he didn’t want to converse with her. It was a chore to him. Dumuzi dropped her face downwards and fell silent for a moment. Was she misunderstanding? Was Theo just mixing words up again? She didn’t know right now but she was hurt by his words regardless.
As Dumuzi watched the love bird’s dance, Dumuzi sat quietly there for a moment. She had assured Theo that she was alright, but her mind was still rather full and crowded with past experiences and the conflicting present ones. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to do, she wasn’t sure what she could do, really. She was so deep in thought that she didn’t even see Ashton come up and start to speak with Theo until a few minutes after the fact. Oh man, she needed to get her head back in the game, right now was probably not the time to start spacing out and questioning one’s own reason and purpose for being here. Once more, she found herself cuddling the plushy tighter to her chest and looking down at the ground. What should she do? She came out here to make something of herself, she decided that she was going to start to work on making herself happy and not worrying about how it impacted others, she wanted to work on that sort of stuff, but right now she was feeling a little lost and stuck. Why did she enjoy tonight so much when they were treating her like a girl? Why did she feel this way and why was she letting this get her distracted and down now? She just didn’t know right now, her head was starting to ache a little bit because of all these questions and quandaries that she had about herself that she didn’t have answers too. It just kept piling up as all the things that she had suppressed, all the things that she hid away and didn’t want to think about came screaming into existence within her own mind with an unrelenting fury. Her stoic face belied the toiling that she was starting to experience, though her eyes held something of her troubled conflict. Dumuzi closed her eyes for a moment, he head was suddenly getting heavy from all the thoughts that bubbled and stirred within. ”Pop!”
Dumuzi’s attention snapped up as she noted the trail of bubbles floating towards her, she knew who was the cause of them, though it took her a couple of seconds to locate the large blue Pokemon. She offered him a relieved smile and started to follow him towards the dance floor. Dumuzi may not have understood these emotions, and she may not even know where to start with figuring them out, but right now she didn’t have to, right? She could enjoy the festival before she started to once more try and solve these questions that she was having. She didn’t need to solve them all at once either. She could take what time she needed and do thing slowly, but properly. Or she could just have a ‘eureka’ moment and have it all make sense. For now though, she would just distract herself as best she could from all of this, keep having fun and earning tickets. Those thoughts and questions would be there tomorrow, they certainly hadn’t gone away after this long, so it could be put on hold until she had a more convenient time for her. She came alongside Kai and gave him a gentle smile before following along with a few gentle dance moves on her own. She had time to sort things out, right now, it was time to have some fun with friends.

Dumuzi approached the vendor and took a moment to size up the wheel, it looked like it was in good shape and she was going to have good roll on this, she could feel it in her bones. It was woman’s intuition! …wait, did she have that? Regardless, she walked up to the wheel when it was her turn and gave the wheel a spin, she watched the numbers rotate around and she kept a hopeful look on her face while the wheel slowly began its decent into the final few rotations. Oh… the anticipation was starting to get her antsy and she started to hold her breath for a few seconds while the last few number rolled by and she got a 7! Woot! She’d take that, it was better than the ones and twos that she had gotten previous and she happily took the seven tickets and put them into her bag. Gosh it was starting to get full. It was going to be exciting to see how many tm she would be able to get from all of this.

Well, this was almost an entire waste of time! It had started off so promising, Du got her rings from a decent looking vendor and she wrapped her sleeves as per usual. But for some reason she just couldn’t get those damn rings to go over the bottles. Maybe she just allowed herself to get too flustered over it and it was starting to affect her future throws. Like she was psyching herself out of what could have been a win. After the second ring bounced off pathetically, Dumuzi guessed she just gave up at that point and accepted her defeat with some level of grace and dignity. She was given her 2 pity tickets and went on her way. Maybe she could do better with the next game.

The darts were lined up, Dumuzi was ready, and she started to throw them at the balloons. To say that her run was stellar would be untrue, getting less than 50% of the balloons was not an overly great achievement but it was still better that not having gotten any rings on the bottles this time around. Dumuzi took up her four tickets and placed them in her bag before she started to head off. She wondered if she was just getting over practiced at these games or if they were just starting to be boring enough to her after repeated gaming that she was starting to get distracted with side thoughts in her mind. Still, she supposed that it was better than only getting 1 or 2 tickets. She would be happily with at score of 4.

Man, the day started off so good when it came to earning tickets but then it just kinda… went to pot. Dumuzi found herself at her dreaded nemesis of the arcade games. It didn’t take long before Dumuzi had eaten through her lives and a pity ticket was spit out at her just get her away from the machine. Dumuzi sighed. That would teach her for trying a new game. She never really did have much luck with these kind of games, she didn’t know what possessed her to try it out to being with. Oh well. Such was life sometimes.
