The boy studied the girl as she disappeared behind the cloak, taking more time that he thought necessary for the technique, but quickly pulling the cloak down, though the look on her face told the young Hyuuga that she had something on her mind. ”Taka-san, I hope you do not take this as an insult, but there is something I have noticed about you.” Takami instantly knew that she going to talk about him, about something he did wrong. Going through his mind to think of any instances where the boy could have offended her, or did something that she saw as 'unfit' for a shinob, he found quite a few, but cleared them from his head to hear the black haired girls opinion. Her next sentence hit him hard. "I... I don't know how to train........?" his mind, not wanting to comprehend those six words, the heart-breaking words that the young Keiji told had him. The boy felt nothing, just a numbness in the place where his heart should be, and a million thoughts going through his mind at the same time. He pulled himself together, at least his appearance, "I don't want to like like a fool, with my mouth agape and my eyes in shock!" he told himself, not wanting to give the girl anymore fuel to attack him with. Though the Hyuuga knew that wasn't what she was trying to do, shamefully listening to the rest of her argument. He secretly agreeing with it, but of course he wouldn't say that, he had too much pride, though that seemed to be a whole other problem in itself.

The boy nodded his head to show that he had heard her, he still had his manners even in a situation like this. The boy just stood for a minute, trying to decipher his thoughts, deciding that he wasn't mad at her, and why should he be? The girl just gave him something from her side of a situation, and he had to respect that, even if it wasn't the best thing to hear. Though she had been right about so many things before. He decided to trust her opinion, though he wouldn't tell her that right away, he needed to calm down anyways; he didn't want his emotions to overtake him and cause another scene! It just stung a little to be told that you can't do something, something that you've been dreaming of from your entire life none the less, right. Takami opened his mouth to speak, to tell the girl everything was okay, that he wasn't mad and that she didn't need to worry or feel bad about telling him. He wanted to tell her that it was a good thing. But the words just couldn't seem to form, his brain processing so many things to say, that this same, singular thought couldn't even be formed into something audible. The boy closed his mouth and decided to try to talk to her later.

The boy stood up straight, and closed his eyes, trying to calm down a bit before trying the technique. He tried to clear his mind of thoughts and emotions, to make himself a clear slate. He had never been very good at it. Thinking of the design of the brick wall, the boy was able to focus on the thought of the technique, moving closer to the wall, and pushing his chakra into the cloak. He lifted it almost mechanically. Holding it over his head, and pushing his chakra to the outer edges of the cloak, the boy was able to somehow finish the technique, though he imagined that if you were to look for him, like really look for him, he would be easily spotted. Takami dropped the sheet from one hand and threw it over his left shoulder, allowing his thought to go back to where they were before, trying to form something to say to the girl. She looked pretty worried. "I hope that she doesn't think I would hurt her," the boy worried, trying to keep his emotions in check, figuring that the girl already viewed him as an emotional train wreck, though she wasn't very far off point.

His left finger quickly made it's way to his bottom lip, instead of trying to start a thought, this time the boy was trying to organize his. He started to speak a few times, but always stopped knowing that the right words weren't there yet. After a minute or two more, the boy finally decided on what to say, wondering whether or not the girl was ready to leave him behind to go finish the training by herself. Probably, the boy told himself. "Amaya-kun, you are one hundred and twenty percent right," the boy stopped trying to read the expressions on the young girl's face. "You're right. I don't know anything about how a real-life situation works, and I should stop trying to emulate one, It'll just lead to unnecessary arrogance, and that'll just end it disaster. Thank you for you're opinion, it's opened my mind to the possibilities and helped me see what I was doing wrong. Really, thank you." the Hyuuga's face grew warmer as his words flowed on, though he still wondered whether she wanted to go off and finish the exercise by herself, knowing he should at least give her the option. "If... uh... you want to leave, and go work with someone else, or even yourself, I'll completely understand." the boy's eyes never meeting those of the black-haired girl, but instead he stared at the ground by his feet instead. He also knew that he should give her a final piece of advice, did she decide to leave, just to be courteous. He though of something good to say, nothing coming to mind really, but he met his eyes and knew what to tell her instantly. "Amaya, always listen to your team mates, even if it's nothing something you want to hear, because they're only looking out for you."

At first Yae was peeved that her mid-lecture hand seal advice had gone unanswered. But she got over it. She supposed she couldn't expect the other kid to share her enthusiasm when it came to interrupting Ko-sensei.

The kakuremino should be next. At least according to the syllabus scroll, but Ko-sensei already demonstrated that he was willing to go outside of the predetermined order of the lessons, and put the shinobilings in harm's way while doing it. What would he do for the kakuremino training? Make them hide from a hungry pack of wolves? Perhaps some of the daimyo's troops? The others paired off quickly. Yae was surprised when Sakurayuki and Shironaegi decided to work together. They were making up after their quarrel rather quickly. Probably because that Senju wasn't around to instigate.

Scaring a bunch of kids, what a tool. At least Ko-sensei is annoying on accident...

Yae had been ignoring Ko-sensei's instructions. She had already started practicing the kakuremino, so it's not like she needed to listen. When Fudou spoke she snapped back to attention. With a nod of agreement, she grabbed and cloak and followed the others outside. He certainly wasn't the worst partner around. In fact, hadn't he been doing a little better than her the other day?

"This should be a breeze," she called coolly once the were on the school grounds, more confidence in her voice than she actually had.

Inosuke sat under his tree alone watching the tragedy before him of kids hiding underneath blankets How stupid. He flipped to the next page and saw his drawing of the Dragon Hand Sign, a notable smudge on it from his mother suddenly bursting into his room and scaring him. It irked him slightly as he stared at it. He zoned in on the symbol and zoned out on the world. How hideous. That smudge was a stain on his own good name.

Amaya saw the boy inwardly collapse. It was like watching a building fall in on itself and all that was left was floating dust concealing the empty space inside. The young girl watched as the boy checked his appearance, doing a good job pulling himself into a semi-presentable heap. However, it seemed that the young Keiji had stolen the voice of a Hyuuga. She watched, almost anxiously, as the young student tried to pull his thoughts together and speak. He even managed to open his mouth a few times, but the girl had destroyed him so thoroughly that nothing came out. Takami seemed to be just a shell and Amaya had been the one who had so cruelly disemboweled him. She knew there had to have been a better way to break it to him, but her people skills were so poor that she wasn’t able to figure out the proper thing to say. “You should focus on so and so more than you try to create so and so for so and so reasons” had never crossed the child’s mind. Perhaps something like that would have brought across her point while still allowing her to leave the boy intact. However, Amaya was certain of one thing; she had achieved a profound effect. Sure, maybe it wasn’t as soft as she had been hoping, but something was going on with the boy. He was developing and changing before her eyes and someday Amaya would be able to look back and see how much he changed from this day.

Maybe it was because this criticism was coming from someone who, while they did hold the same status in the realm of the shinobi, was neither from a shinobi based clan nor his age. As a matter of fact, this young man was being forced to swallow some very harsh observations from someone three years his junior. Not only were her words a crush to his dreams but the severe difference in age had to be a strike to the pride. Who was she trying to fool? Her analysis was a large enough blow to his pride and her youth couldn’t have been helpful. No, it must have compounded the matter. Maybe she should have waited for an instructor to give him some pointers instead of butting in like she had. On the other hand, at the rate that their instructor was working they would never receive individualized feedback from him. While she couldn’t believe it, somehow the girl was making it seem like she had done the right thing even though it had pained her to harm her classmate like she had. The Hyuuga, if he was as great as his clan, would take this with a very large grain of salt but accept it for what it was and move on.

The girl wasn’t convinced that Takami was going to get through her little bomb with the way he was acting. Not a word managed to escape from the boy, not a scream or a whisper, before he made his next attempt. If the dead walked the world this is what Amaya imagined they would look like. He was mechanical in his movements with energy or life to them. The light of life seemed to have fluttered from his eyes, though he refused to look at her, and she could feel the hollowness of his chest emanating into the arena. She wanted to apologize or do something to fix this, but what she had said was true in her eyes and she wasn’t about to apologize for being honest. As a matter of fact, it was one of her policies not to apologize. If she was wrong she would admit it, but everything that escaped her lips had purpose and she had sent it out into the world for a reason; that she would never be sorry for. However, her youth was pulling her down, making her feel guilty about the detrimental effect it had on her classmate.

He spoke. Thank goodness he was able to find his voice once again; reclaiming it from the small girl. It was actually a great relief for her to hear him speaking once more. Wait. She was right? Amaya hadn’t expected to hear that, but then again it was also comforting to hear that he had taken her words for what they were meant to be. As the boy’s face lit up once more the Keiji felt the worry lifting off her shoulders, knowing that he was honest instead of trying to appease her. How had she gotten through to him? No matter, all she knew was that she had been successful in her communication, even if it took a little while. However, that was short lived when she heard Takami so willing to excuse her from his company. Was he trying to get rid of her politely or was he simply that embarrassed? Then again, it wasn’t really a surprise to Amaya that he was that willing to let go of their little team. After all, she was quite mean there.

Without answering, the child leaned against the tree and lifted the cloak in front of her, disappearing but not enough to qualify as a successful attempt. The child held the cloth in her arms as she looked up at the boy, relieved that he could finally look her in the eyes. It had been comforting to hear that he figured out that she was just trying to help him develop as effectively as possible. ”Taka-san, I want to make something very clear to you.” Once more she was using the voice that she often used on her brothers that said she was serious but cared for them none the less. It had seemed to work the last time she used it on the Hyuuga boy, so there was no reason not to try it again. ”I did not criticize you because I have grown tired of your company. If that was the case I wouldn’t bother watching you, giving you what little advice that I can offer, and telling you what I think your biggest faults are. So, I will not leave to train on my own. No, I will stay here and train with you until the end of this exercise.” Her voice was its usual high pitch and quiet, but her words seemed to carry a heavy weight to them, settling thickly on both of them. ”Taka-san, I am proud of you. Even though my words were crushing to you, you still managed to push through that and successfully complete the jutsu. What I find even more admirable is that you were able to look past the sting of my message and find the truth in it instead of tossing it aside as someone out to hurt you. That faith and that willingness to find the truth is something missing in the world today, not just in the shinobi sector. Never let that go and don’t ever let anyone take that away from you. That will be your biggest asset someday and you will have any understanding of the world that many will never accomplish.” Once more Amaya didn’t provide technical assistance, but she tried to help none the less.

The Hyuuga stood there as the young Keiji attempted the jutsu without an answer to his statements. He didn't know how to take this. Was this a sign that she really did want to leave and work by herself? A sign that she hated him? A sign that she thought she deserved better then him? Takami couldn't decide right now, but instead watched as the girl began to molde her chakra into the cloak, the colors blurring into the trees, as she pulled the design up to cover her body. It was almost a success. She took the cloak away from in front of her, the young shinobi deciding that his new black-haired friend seemed distracted. "Maybe she does have a heart, maybe she realized that even though I agreed with her, it really did still heart," the boy hoped, looked at her with a longing for an apology that he knew would never come. He quickly realized that Amaya just was thinking of what she was going to lecture him about again. Though this time the beginning didn't sound as heart-retching as the last, closing his eyes to better accept the words as she gave them to him.

What was this? She wasn't sick of his company? He didn't understand this child. She had seemed so sick of him, so irritated, so annoyed with his impulsive behavior just a few minutes before, he tried to clear his head again to listen to a continuation of her argument, hoping that it wasn't about to turn sour, though the tone of her voice, and her facial expression didn't hint that it would. He looked up at her stunned, knowing that if he had pupils, and if they could shrink in surprise, they would right now. He quickly forgot most of what she said, but certain phrases stuck with him in his mind. ' I am proud of you,' 'That will be your biggest asset,' and, 'You will have any understanding of the world that many will never accomplish' standing out to him most of all from the girl's positive comments. Takami started laughing, trying on several occasions to try and stop himself, but unable to. The Hyuuga's mother had always said that laughter was the best medicine, but now the child could actually confirm this fact, the act bringing a strange lightness to his chest, relieving him of all the worries that he had formally had from the girl's comments.

After about thirty seconds, the outburst of happiness seemed to die down, and the boy looked over at his young friend, a pleasant look on his face, but then realizing that she may have believe him to be laughing at him, which was not the case at all, well at least not in a bad way. The boy placed his finger on his lip, and tried to form the words to explain to her why he was laughing, but he just couldn't. It was as if the laugh came out of no where, as if the laugh's only purpose was to help the boy back to his light-hearted, happy-go-lucky state, though he knew he would have to tell the girl something. He walked over to her and crouched down to eye level with her, but then just moved to his knees to make it easier to hold the position, if he decided to talk for a while. Kneeling about five feet from the girl, he began to talk to her, softly, a new sensitivity towards her in his voice. "Amaya-kun, thank you for everything you've done for me today. You've helped me see something that my parents have been working towards for almost twelve years, in less than thrity minutes, none-the-less! I hope you know, how highly I think of you, and that I wasn't laughing at you, just the irony of this situation."

He closed his eyes, and continued, "As for me having the ability to see the world in a way many people never will," Takami stopped, repeating the words the girl had said to him earlier, "I think that you're already there. You can see everything so clearly, everything for how it's suppose to be. That right there is something to be proud of. But, on top of that understanding, you helped me understand. Me! Someone's who had no cares in his life before today bigger then what I was going to eat for dinner that night, You opened my eyes to a bigger picture, opened my eyes to one of the world." The boy made his way to his feet, taking a step forward to give the young black-haired Keiji a hug, but stopping himself, remembering how the girl had tensed up before when he had patted her on that back. Takami didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable again after everything he had just done for the Hyuuga.

He simply turned himself away from her, and walked back to the place where he had been practicing the new technique, picking the cloak off of the ground. He closed his eyes and tried to focus on the technique, not wanting to mess up again after the girl had given him such a powerful speech. He couldn't help himself from getting nervous. The boy slowly lifted the cloak, knowing instantly that he wasn't molding his chakra properly, imagining that he was pushing too much chakra from his left hand while his right hand not enough. He tried to fix his attempt for about thirty seconds, His nerves on edge from the fear of another rant, making it harder for the boy to do the technique properly. After about a full minute of trying, the boy stopped the flow of his chakra and left the cloak fall into his left hand afraid to see the look on the girl's face, praying it wasn't one of disappointment. He knew this way strange, consider a girl of three years younger then him an equal, if not someone superior of him, but the girl was just so well spoken and direct. She didn't try to sugarcoat what she wanted to say to him, and that seemed to be helping to mold the boy's personality into that of something more strict and more professional. He could never repay her for that.

Takami quickly made his way over to the girl, giving a warm smile. He opened his mouth to start giving advice, but quickly closed it, trying again to think before he spoke as the Senju and now Amaya had told him. He thought for a minute, trying to form the words, and then finding the right ones. "Amaya-kun, make sure that you practice a diversity between the cloaks." he spoke, again offering her the brick designed one in exchange for the one of the tree, "It won't do any good to perfectly blend into a tree when you're in the middle of a desert, or even a town that is! And also, I hope you know that I never did want you to leave. I only offered because I was under the impression that you wanted to leave, and for that I apologize."

This time she couldn’t hide it; the Hyuuga’s sudden bought of laughter caused the young girl’s entire body to tense. Her shoulders pressed back towards one another and lifted up towards her chin ever so slightly, her fists locked and tightened causing her fingernails to press into the tender flesh of her palms, and her jaw clenched with an iron hold. It wasn’t that she was insulted, just surprised. To top it off, the laughter wouldn’t end. The boy couldn’t seem to control himself though and the laughter continued far past its welcome. Patience, patience, patience, patience. That mantra kept repeating through the girl’s mind until the laughter finally came to a stop. Thank goodness. However, it seemed that the shenanigans weren’t over yet. Before she knew it the Hyuuga was kneeling in front of her. Damn it she was short. Amaya was a little overwhelmed by the boy’s declarations. She felt as if he was being a little bit farfetched. Then, to put the icing on the cake, it looked like the boy was about to hug her. The Keiji didn’t shy away but wasn’t exactly game on the idea. No, she wasn’t much of a hugger. Luckily Takami didn’t follow through with it.

The girl didn’t say a word, just absorbing what all was happening, as the boy made his next attempt. When he was finished she exchanged cloaks with him while still wearing her signature smile. Her mind wasn’t with things right now. Amaya walked up to the wall and held up the sheet, but quickly realized that it was sideways. The girl brought it down, surrendering her effort and shaking her head gently. ”While we went over holding the cloak design side forward, I think we forgot about holding the design the right way as well.” What do you know?! A technical piece that they had over looked. The child leaned back against the wall while she waited for his next attempt. Amaya figured that the two had a mutual understanding now and that she didn’t have to go ranting and raving once again. Things had been a little bit crazy and she was ready to take it easy. ”Oh, and Taka-san,” Then again, that was no reason to be rude. ”Thank you for the kind words. I’m glad I could make a positive impact on your life.” The child gave him a slight nod letting him know that it was alright to begin on his next attempt.

The boy let out a silly laugh as the girl held the reddish-brown brick design up to the wall sideways, not realizing for a second until she turned it around and looked at the front, laughing at her own mistake, making the boy remember her young age. Sometimes she was wiser than a preacher, when others, like now, she seemed to act more age appropriate, joking with the young Hyuuga, though he wished the black haired girl would joked a bit more often, she was so precious when she did. Suddenly, the girl was speaking again, thanking the boy for his 'kind words' and thanking him for allowing the young Keiji to have a positive impact on his life. Taka was starting to really like this girl, and suddenly the Hyuuga begin to wish for the two to be put on the same team, though he didn't think it would happen that easily, knowing that the teams were instead ranked by score, and theirs would probably be pretty far apart, she seemed to be so much smarter then him, and talented as well. The boy saw himself as kinda impulsive, which took away from his learning, and he was never very good at tests either.

The boy looked up, realizing that the girl had long ago signaled for his turn, politely waiting while he ran around in his own little world. The boy knew she was probably peeved at him, and he cringed at the thought of another lecture. He stared straight into her round, black eyes, the truth on the tip of his tongue. "I-I'm-" he stumbled on the first words, "I'm really sorry, I was just thinking about how cool it would be for us to be on the same team! I mean, we've been working together for only like 30 minutes, and I already feel more focused and less.... spastic!" The boy gave an awkward smiled to the girl and backed away slowly to the wall hoping that the bluntness of his comment didn't freak the small girl out. "But I guess the only way we'll find out is to wait until graduation! I mean it's not like we're two thirds of an InoShikaCho team, I mean at least with them, they already know how their fellow genin's will be." he rambled on, his pale cheeks multiplying the darkening glow of red on his cheeks, he always had a habit of talking to much and making things awkward.

The boy decided that he need to start the technique. He closed his eyes and let the chakra run through his hands, but feeling that something was not right, like something was.... out of place or wrong. The boy decided to follow through with the technique despite the feeling, to try to figure out what was wrong, what was causing the feeling. Takami began to lift the cloak, quickly, making it to about his the level of his sternum before he felt the cloak not able to move anymore. Looking down, and realizing that the boy had stepped on the cloak by accident, catching it under his foot as he had backed up to the wall. Moving his foot and quickly laughing at his mistake, the young Hyuuga smiled toward Amaya, knowing exactly the advice to give the young Keiji. Folding the cloak over his arm, the boy looked from his arm to the black haired girls eyes, a playful smirk on his face. His right hand moving to his head, and playing with a strand of loose hair, the boy took his time waiting to speak to the young girl, "Y'anno, Having the right chakra strength, holding it correctly, and all that stuff is good and all, but" he stopped on that word to give it emphasis, "You can't do anything with the disguise if your foot is stinking on top of the cloak!" Takami let out a playful giggle before leaning back on the wall to wait for the girl to take her turn, as the two had grown to do.

The gentle breeze pulled and tugged at the ends of the young girl’s hair as the boy laughed. It was nice to see that he was recovering from her harsh words so quickly. Then again, this could also be the young boy’s defense mechanism while he was still repairing. The grass gently tickled her toes as it peeked over the edge of her sandals and the sun shone its warming rays through the foliage of the tree, glowing as it hit skin. Today really was the perfect spring day when one was standing in the shade since it was in the afternoon; the hottest part of the day. It made the corners of the child’s lips curl just slightly more as she enjoyed the warmth and the light. Amaya was thankful that they had been given tasks that allowed them to work outside on a day such as this. What little time they had spent in the classroom had been more or less miserable. With the sun striking through the window panes and running along the ground, teasing them with the rustling leaves that were just out of reach. Naturally, the breeze would blow just hard enough for the noise of the branches shifting to seep in through the wooden walls of the Academy and sing their temptress melody over the melancholy instructions of the presiding teacher. Whose cruel idea was it to begin the Academy in spring when children wanted nothing more but to be outside?

The Keiji noted her partner’s grimace as he brought himself back to the real world. The young girl simply smiled and shook her head at his apology, but stopped when he mentioned being on a team together. That was something that Amaya had yet to think about. She knew that Akeru wanted her to be on his team, but she couldn’t be a team of one. Though she didn’t reply to his comment, she also didn’t make any faces or gestures that indicated she would be against that pairing. It was an interesting concept that she hadn’t really mulled around; then again she wasn’t going to since she didn’t any say over the matter. The girl would just flow and work with whatever she was set up with. That was one of the many tasks of a shinobi. ”I suppose we will have to wait until graduation. I hadn’t really thought about it to be honest.” The girl gave the boy a smile with the rising blush on his cheeks. It was amusing to watch him feeling embarrassed, even though that might seem a bit mean. But it was his lack of confidence and his social awkwardness that made things amusing. After all, an 11 year old Hyuuga would theoretically be well socialized, but apparently not.

Amaya looked on as the boy made his next attempt at the jutsu, though he hit a bit of a snag; literally speaking. The girl shook her head amusedly at the boy and his silly failure. However, the black haired girl wasn’t about to let him in on the little secret that she had acquired during his attempt. She would have to use that as her little hint to him. Amaya spared another little smile as he mentioned that it was probably best that she didn’t stand on the cloak that she was trying to use for camouflage. Now it was time for her to make her attempt.

The young girl leaned against the brick wall and took in a deep breath before raising the cloth over her head. She had already been pressing her chakra into it before attempting to hide herself from the world. Once more Amaya felt that she had done a good job. She matched up the seams flawlessly thanks to folding the cloak to match her height so that it wouldn’t sag on the ground. Even from the side the young girl had become invisible, making herself disappear from the world. The young Keiji wondered just how long she could hold this for. And what was her practical application for this technique? Playing hide and seek with her brothers. Then again, she would probably have to wait until they were older because they already had enough difficulties when she hid around the corners; silly little two year olds.

Amaya allowed the cloak to fall into her arms as she magically appeared back in the training arena. The girl turned her head to look at her partner, noting that he had yet to figure out the main reason why he failed his attempt before her. ”You know, Taka-san,” There was a gentle touch of playfulness in the child’s voice since she knew that Takami was in a fragile state regardless of how well he appeared to be doing. ”It is very difficult to blend a tree cloak into a brick wall regardless of whether or not you stand on it.” She flashed him an adorable smile to let him know that she wasn’t angry, disappointed, or any of those other silly things that it seemed he liked to read into.

Takami's face lit up a brilliant red, reaching colors even darker then before. He was really an idiot. He gave a small smile to his friend and walked over shyly to the tree, trying to think of something to say to the girl to recover from such an embarrassing failure, the boy still couldn't wrap his head around the idea of not realizing something so obvious. "Uhm, Amaya-Kun, why did you wait so long to tell me!" he joked, "That was so so so so so embarrassing, I wonder if anyone besides us saw this....." the boy had hoped that the girl would keep this to herself. He quickly made his way over to the tree to try and make another attempt on top of such an embarrassing failure. The boy stopped, feeling the tree digging harshly into his back, coming away from the tree to scratch the place where the tree had touched him, and then giving a smile to the young black haired girl to show that he was finally ready to start another attempt.

The boy quickly made his way back over to the tree, closing his eyes, and waiting to begin. Pushing his chakra into the cloak, the boy pulled the cloak over his head and made his chakra go into the outer edges of the cloak, feeling himself dip into the wall, he seemed to be successful, though he knew that it was far from a perfect attempt. Quickly the boy pulled down the edges of the cloaks and looked over at Amaya, a giant grin on the face of the Hyuuga. The two almost seemed to have mastered the jutsu. "Hey Amaya-Kun, do you think that we could work together on the next jutsu? It seemed like, now that we've resolved all of our problems, we make a pretty good team learning stuff like this!" Takami's smile turning from warm to something more.... Awkward. He looked at the ground, and then back up to the girl's eyes and gave her another smile, trying to think of some good advice in his head, though it seems that they've pretty much covered almost everything helpful. The boy's finger moved to the signature position on his bottom lip, trying to form the advice he wanted to give in his head, an idea beginning to form towards the girl. He smiled at her with his signature grin, throwing the cloak over his shoulder before he began, "I know we're almost seeming to be done, and I'm really excited about that, but don't get all distracted and forget how to do the jutsu properly!"

”Taka-san, if I told you everything immediately you would never have the opportunity to learn for yourself. I’m not going to lead you through this exercise.” The child’s tone was playful, still taking it easy on the boy since he was still recovering from her incredibly harsh news. However, he seemed to be coming back from it well and learning. The young girl watched as her training companion disappeared into the tree. Whenever he came back out it was obvious that he had not been in a comfortable position when he was leaning against the tree, so he scratched his back. It was amusing to Amaya that this boy was everywhere. Sure, it was a little trying on her patience, but she also understood that not many children had grown up as quickly as she had. When it came down to it, the black haired girl was the one who was actually out of the norm. Whether that was for better or for worse was yet to be seen, but it was her reality and it was one that she lived with quite contently.

Amaya was about to make her next attempt when Taka started talking again. The next task? This boy really couldn’t keep his mind on one thing at a time, could he? ”How about we finish this assignment before we look ahead to anything else, Taka-san.” Her voice was gentle and kind, making sure that Taka didn’t feel rejected but also giving him an almost subconscious reminder to stay on task instead of rush ahead. They were far ahead of the other students and it wasn’t like the sensei was out there yelling at everyone to hurry but. If they were in a rush, yes, Amaya would be planning ahead, but she didn’t see the point in their position. When the girl lifted the cloth she realized that she had forgotten to fold the camouflage properly and the lines weren’t going to be even. Without bothering to distribute her chakra, the child let the cloth rest on her arms again. So much for not allowing herself to get distracted. Oh well, yet again she reminded herself to not worry about how quickly she was progressing because she would eventually learn the jutsu in her own time. ”Taka-san, remember to focus on what you are doing now instead of trying to plan ahead. You are doing well with your training but it also deserves your utmost attention.” That was all the advice Amaya could think to give her Hyuuga partner. They were almost done, after all.

The young Hyuuga watched as his partner tried the exercise again, seeming to get distracted, and ending up folding the sheet incorrectly, ending up with uneven lines, taking away from the camouflage. The boy knew that this was going to happen to at least one of the two from the pair, it seemed to be present in all of his previous trainings as well. The boy smiled as the girl told him to stay focused, he knew that without her he probably would've gotten distracted, and ended up messing up or something similar to that nature. He again found himself being grateful for the small blacked-haired presence, keeping the boy in check, and allowing him to finish finish working on the activity again, and allowing the boy to improve upon himself and his techniques more as time went on. "Y'anno, Amaya, you really are a good person. I've really enjoyed this training with you, and I hope that you've enjoyed the experience too, though we did hit a couple of minor, uhm, bumps." the boy added a signature smile to the end of his sentence.

Quickly the boy made his way to the tree, focusing on the jutsu, and putting his chakra into the sheet before he had even turned and put his back to the tree. The boy quickly lifted the sheet, and felt the power of the jutsu again, blending him into the tree. The boy quickly dropped the sheet a look of excitment climbing onto his face. "Amaya-kun! Guess what! I think i've got it mastered, and I'm sure in the next try you'll have it done as well!" Takami prayed that his foreshadows would be correct, though he vowed to wait with the girl until she was finished with the exercise as well, knowing that their positions were switched, the boy would secretly with for the black haired girl to stay with him. The boy gave a big smile and made his way over to his small friend, offering her the tree cloak to allow her to have an option for what the girl wanted to disguise into for her, hopefully, last attempt of the day. He turned back around and made his way back to the tree, leaning against the bark in a fluid motion, making sure to think carefully for what his hopefully last bit of advice for the day would be. He couldn't think of anything. Instead of trying to give advice the boy decided to simply play the part of the cheerleader, and encourage the girl. "You're doing great!" he smiled, "Just one more try, and you've got this! I know you can do this!"

The girl smiled, even though Taka was getting ahead of himself again. He spoke as if he had already completed the assignment, but that was not the case. None the less, Amaya was confident that this really would be his final attempt since he was getting much better at it than before. That is, when his mind was where it was supposed to be. He wasn’t the only one whose mind flittered about, but it did make for some difficult training. Once more the girl reminded herself of the benefits that was bringing to her patience. Now she would just have to keep it going through her brothers at the end of the day. Then again, they were easy. They didn’t really talk yet and all they wanted to do was play, so as long as they weren’t getting too rowdy they were easy to deal with. Of everything in the world, however, her brothers were the most distracting. Even when she was away from them they always seemed to slip into her mind and tumble about. Then again, that was the love of an older sister.

Amaya smiled at Takami when he had his final attempt completed. It was a big accomplishment for him and the girl questioned whether or not he would explode. With a gentle hand and a shake of her head, the black haired girl turned down the tree cloak and decided to stick with the wall. After all, it had given her more troubles than the other one and if she was going to use them to hide from her brothers she had to be able to line up the lines on the cloth with the ones on the walls in her home. With a gentle, fluid motion the child lifted the cloak above her head and disappeared into the wall. It was still fascinating to her that people were able to do this. How had anyone ever even thought of trying something like this? Yet another thing she needed to research. She brought the cloth down and gently folded it, taking the second from Taka at this point and doing the same. ”I believe you are right, Taka-san. We are done.” While she hadn’t need the little cheer beforehand, Amaya wasn’t going to turn down words of encouragement. It was better than someone trying to undermine her or distract her so she would fail.

The boy folded the sheet after having it declined from the girl, placing it in his back pack, and watching the girl disappear behind the cloak, the boy realized that the pair were done with the exercise, the small black haired girl pointing out the fact, and bringing the boy back into reality. Takami quickly gave the girl a quick bow, a warm smile stretching across his soft features, the boy happy to be able to work on something more, athletic. Not that the boy didn't like working on the jutsus, and though he particularly liked working with the small, black-haired girl, Amaya, Takami had only done, a couple lessons, three to be exact, and none of them have even drained him at all. In fact, the boy felt more alive then ever! He quickly looked around the park, searching for something to do, and quickly the boy spotted the running track, and knew that he wanted to run a little, knowing it was on the extra credit list, though not aware of the exact amount of laps the young Hyuuga was suppose to do. Ten laps sounded okay to Takami, deciding that he would do ten laps, maybe some push-ups, and then another ten-laps if time allowed him.

The boy looked back at Amaya, His eyes shining with a definite light of excitement, being sure to make eye contact. "It was truly a pleasure working with you, Amaya-kun, and I hope we have the chance to interact again in the future. Please excuse me!" Takami said, taking another, not-as-formal, bow and turned away from the girl making his way to the track. Stopping on the way to the track, and grabbing a large, reddish brown rock, the boy made sure to mark the spot where he began on the track, and then began to start with the running. The boy sprinted through the first hundred meters or so, slowing down to a steady pace, and then making slowing his pace even more once reaching the second hundred meter mark, the boy decided that he was probably about a third of the way done with the lap, and stopped on the track to take a small break, fanning himself off slowly, and then starting again, running at the pace he was at before Takami had stopped. The boy quickly turned around the final home stretch of the track, spotting two people standing near the end of the track where the boy had began his lap. Instinctively, the boy sped up, trying to impress his fellow classmates, and running to where he had marked the track, slowing down to a walk and making his way over to the two other students.

As the boy got closer, he could tell the two were trying the technique he had just completed, though neither of the two had seemed to go yet, noticing only as he got closer, the girl with the dark hair and his friend with the white and brown mohawk. "Yae and Fudou," the boy said softly to himself, approaching the two. Takami finally reached the two and put his signature smile on, greeting each of his classmates with a deep bow, knowing neither to be from any of the well-known Konohagakure clan, not expecting a bow from them in return. The boy nodded towards the cloak that the two had, and opened his mouth, but closing it, and placing his finger on it's usually place on the bottom of the boy's lips. "Hey guys, Me and Amaya just finished this exercise, and I was wondering if when the two of you were done, if either of you would care to take a run with me, it's great exercise!" the boy stopped suddenly, knowing he should give the two some advice, having the jutsu already under his belt. "You too need to make sure that you're putting enough chakra into the edges of the cloak, That always seemed to be the hardest part for me to blur into the background. At the beginning, I found myself focusing on distributing my chakra through the middle, but the edges are the most important part!"

Fudou had taken enough cloaks for the two of them to use between themselves. There were two of each of the five types so they could use whichever they felt like at that moment. He followed her outside to the academy grounds where there were a lot more different types of terrain than in the classroom they'd been keeping themselves to yesterday. Which was actually kinda dumb, now that he thought about it. Surely the grounds simulated the kinds of situations they'd get into after graduation much better than the classroom ever would. He supposed that having a teacher around to guide them was really useful after all.

He grinned briefly when Yae spoke. Seemed like she'd recovered completely from what happened just now. "Definitely. We're miles ahead of everybody else." He was unaware (and it was probably for the better) that the Takami-Amaya duo had already completed their training.

Of course, that was when Takami showed up. He had completed the training already? Fudou stood by his previous thought. What did they feed them in the Hyuuga Mansion? He was as keen as ever, and it was a bit off-putting actually, but that was just how the Hyuuga was. If there was still time after they were all done Fudou probably wouldn't mind going for a short jog with him.

"Hey, look," he added, pointing towards the cloaks he'd draped onto the floor. "There are two different types of tree bark pattern." It was true that not all tree bark had the same pattern. One of the dis(?)advantages of living in a forest... he picked up one of the tree bark patterns and compared it to nearby trees until he found the one that it matched. Without waiting for Yae, he cloaked himself, taking Ko-sensei's and Takami's advice and trying to use his chakra to simulate the correct patterns and shading in the cloak, especially at the obvious areas where his outline and the border between the cloak and the tree was clearer.

Kakuremino no Jutsu (Cloak of Invisibility Technique)
Description: This Jutsu is where one uses a cloak or a piece of cloth to make oneself blend in with the background, interpreting oneself invisible. While a student should use a cloak/cloth that fits with their environment, chakra can be used to enhance the effect but it can not make up for using the wrong camouflage. In this exorcise the students will demonstrate their ability to blend in to various surroundings using their cloaks/cloths.

Outside of the academy the training made a lot more sense. The cloaks were, after all, modeled after things you would generally find outside. Yae felt silly for not having realized that training here would have been way easier.

"Definitely," Yae shared Fudou's vanity, unaware that as they spoke Takami and Amaya had already almost perfected their kakuremino. "The others will probably need some pointers when we're done."

Just then Takami had decided to show up.

"Hello there, Hyuuga-san," Yae called, her voice listless. Done already? Was he joking? She swallowed her pride the best she could, nodding politely at his advice before replying in a flat tone. "Yeah, now that you mention it, I noticed the corners were definitely off in Fudou's attempt. I'm still tired from running earlier today, but thanks..."

Yae had made up with the Hyuuga, but she wasn't going to waste energy putting on a cheery show when she was being so easily outdone.

"Oh yeah, look at that," Yae muttered unenthusiastically, holding up her own pair of tree bark cloaks. She couldn't identify which type of tree either was supposed to be. Plant biology didn't really concern her. She watched as Fudou lined up against the tree with his cloak. The boy's chakra helped to obfuscate him, but his presence was still obvious. "Not even close..."

She draped her own cloak around herself and lined up with the tree opposite Fudou's. Yae felt an obligation to get it right, having just put down her classmate's attempt. She tried to sift through her memories of the successful kakuremino attempts from the other day, but those memories had blended together with the failed attempts. She couldn't remember what had been good technique, and what had been poor. Standing there, sticking out like a sore thumb against the backdrop of bark, Yae quickly began to realize she was pretty much starting from square one.

"I'm starting to think our practice from yesterday was pointless. Doing this outside is completely different..." The smug confidence had drained from her voice.
