Alec was still standing down in the basement levels with Luna (which seemed to be a really long time for some reason) when he heard a huge, booming sound come from the upper levels. This really put Alec on edge since that sound had to travel through god knows how many stories to reach his ears. Alec decided that he was no longer working as a distraction, and decided to take the fight upstairs to where the real action was, apparently, happening.

Alec shot off a few large bolts of electricity at some lingering guards that were coming down the stairs and began to run towards them. Alec shouted back over his shoulder at Luna before he started to make his way up to the higher levels of the compound. "Sounds like something happened. Let's go!"

((When the experiment emerges from the tank I can totally hear Solidarity by Enter Shikari playing as the theme music. Look it up, it fits the mood soooo well haha))

Nathan stuttered for several moments upon Krauser's greeting. This moment seemed to come sooner than expected, but, well here it was. Normally, Nathan was a gentle, sentimental fellow who thought things through before acting and always opted for the peaceful route. Perhaps he was having an off day. Maybe he was having a mid-life crisis. Maybe it was the disgusting sight of the pitiful soul in the tank. Maybe he was feeling overly-confident because a god - not his God, but a god nonetheless - was protecting him. Or maybe Nathan was just furious for what Krauser had done.

Whatever it was, Nathan ran after him.

And then it happened.
Like a cobra in a defensive posture, Nathan had entered close enough to the experiment's vicinity for him to strike. With one vicious movement, the man had him pinned to the wall by the throat, his jagged metal fangs dripping with either saliva or the tank's fluid as he screamed in Nathan's face, his voice filled with blood lust.
Whoever or whatever this man was, it was clear that they weren't going anywhere with him still standing.

"SHI-" Nathan found himself slammed up against the wall and face-to-face with what must have been a human at one point. He had to think fast. "It's not me you have to look out for!" Nathan gasped hurriedly.

No, it wasn't. Ophiuchus followed Nathan and rather than pull the attacker away from Nathan or vice versa, slashed at the man's arm with a mediocre but highly focused spell. The cut went clear through, severing the flesh and the metal.

He merely turned his attention to this tall frail attacker, his tongue now lolling slightly from his mouth. The man's shoulder began to twitch and move, and a decent sized piston drove itself up through the skin and began to pump up and down furiously with a sickening noise like a hammer on a steak. Thick coils of metal soon burst from the wound and searched furiously on the floor before finding their amputated target. They dug deep within the arm and locked in place, pulling it back to the wound. As the metal began to stitch the wound, the artificial muscles shifted back into place and bond the arm together. Although the bone was still broken, this man obviously felt no pain as he began to swipe with metallic claws at this newcomer.

Seeing the arm be reattached, Nathan couldn't help but to sway on his feet slightly. That was just... disgusting. He had a great respect for technology and the human body, but that was too much. But as long as Ophiuchus was busy, Nathan would take this chance. He back away quickly, his back towards the door that Krauser had left through. It was locked, everyone had heard it click. Now, if Nathan could just remember the clicks...

Ophiuchus cocked his head and watched the mechanism with great interest. "Now that is very interesting," he commented. "You know, underneath all the metal, you look quite familiar." Taking a deep breath, Ophiuchus easily dodged the swipes. "Why, I would even gather that I've seen you somewhere. A student?" He reached up to the side of his head with his left hand and fiddled with Alec's headset. "Alec and Luna, ready for a piece of the action?"

He twitched at this thought; moments later and all that came out was another ear-shattering roar. Then Ophiuchus' proof was made visible; everything in the room besides the walls and doors was dissolving into sand. Rapidly this bestial experiment had filled the room with some three feet of sand, and it was still rising as the machines continued to dissolve.
A tidal wave of a dune began to rise between the combatants and hurled itself towards the tall man.

Immature Excuse

PostPosted: Mon Sep 14, 2009 7:30 pm

He chuckled. "New students plan on returning back to class. Would you consider becoming a permanent addition? That means less sleep," he added with a slight frown. His face brightened up again. "I'm curious to how you'd appear as a vampire. Would you consider that?" He folded his hands and looked up through his hair in mock evil.
Suddenly, his expression turned blank. He was looking at Lin as though staring right through her. He was deep in thought. After a few silent moments, he spoke up again. "Lin, do you know the situation with the Headmaster at this moment?"

Luna was already beginning to become frustrated with the unnecessary occurrences around them. What if they already found Ialo? Her anger thickened. She wanted to help, but felt like dead weight. She was considering leaving at that moment until the echoes of a large noise reverberated around them.
She watched Alec become smaller as he ran. He said something, she told herself. She should go. She began running, but wasn't anywhere near fast in her human form. At least in this enclosed spaces, she reminded herself. She couldn't continue shoving her own weaknesses at herself. Such a masochist.
Speaking of masochism, she felt her bones tingle underneath her flesh as she tried to run. She felt and heard her joints crack into the anatomy of a wolf.
She crouched down, anticipating the split second burst of pain as everything about her evolved. Her speed grew, which made a stunning silver wolf catch up to Alec very quickly. She grunted and tilted her head, beckoning for him to jump on her and ride. Luna would be able to do things much more efficiently in this form anyway, she knew.

Ophiuchus raised an eyebrow as the sand gathered around his foot and up his legs. "Well I'll be, I was right? And judging by the sand, you must be Set." It was a simple, logical observation made as Ophiuchus stood against the sand. "You shouldn't attack your elders, you know. It's generally considered bad manners."

Nathan placed his hand upon on of the computers, and it immediately dissolved into sand, as did the walls and the doors of the room. Despite the threat (three feet of sand and counting), Nathan was eager to see if a breif hypothesis would hold true - would the large locked door that Krauser left through dissolve as well? If it did, that would save Nathan a lot of effort.

"S...Set...Set......SET..." He began to stare absentmindedly at his own hands; the cognitive processes seemed to be locked deep within the machinery.
He began to shake terribly, and after a moment or so he threw his head back in another scream of rage.
"RA!...Where...Ra!!!!!!!!!!"
He began to dart around the room with frightening speed, possibly some form of effect from his sand pit. An educated man would presume that he was solidifying the sand only in the spots where his feet made momentary contact, allowing for rapid movement rather than the average drudgery. He struck a wall with his fist, leaving a large indentation before leaping and kicking off the ceiling to dive towards Ophiuchus.

Lin's eyes had lit up with the excitement at becoming a permanent addition to Dymetri's class. When school first began, she would have been mortified at just the idea of joining a night class would have repulsed her. However, Dymetri would be her professor, and as long as that was the case, the night class could actually be interesting and she could learn even more about herbs. Granted, it would be about some herbs that she had never planned on learning about, but knowledge was never a bad thing.

Her stomach had lurched slightly, though, when Dymetri had mentioned her masquerading as a vampire. She didn't... she couldn't be...

Lin breathed a huge inward sigh of relief when Dymetri quickly changed the subject. However, the absent look in his eyes quickly worried her again.

She shook her head in response to Dymetri's question. "No... I have heard nothing of the Headmaster. I thought he was here at the school. Did he leave for the weekend?"

Nathan had his back turned towards the commotion. He pulled himself closer to the door, and when part of it had dissolved, Nathan found that he was able to access the part of the lock that was within the door. From there he he actually placed his hand in there and forced the lock to turn over, pulling back his hand just in time. The door opened a few feet, and Nathan edged through, the sound seriously impeding his movement. "Did you plan this?" he wondered aloud to no one in particular.

"And still as energetic as ever, I see," Ophiuchus replied drolly to Set's screams. He disappeared, and teleported just a few feet away, floating just barely above the sand. "You will find Ra. I'll help you. We'll find him together. We'll fix you, find him, and all the others. I'll take you home, and no one will hurt you again." Hopefully, he mentally added. And if the Serpent upheld what he said, then this mission could take a lot longer than anticipated. That is, if Set didn't waste time by trying to kill of god of healing and immortality.

Set lunged towards the God and gripped him by the shoulders, digging his claws into the flesh as he stared him in the face. His right eye was fully dilated; little to no mental activity lay behind it. What was originally perceived as a scope slid open to reveal a swirling vortex of horrid thoughts.
Ophiuchus recalled that Set had been the Egyptian God of Storms, Deserts, and Chaos. Whatever power this mechanized eye held, he was now trying to force it into the head of the serpent.

"Tch!" Ophiuchus barely winced as Set's claws went into his shoulders. He had felt pain far worse than that. However, he made a mistake of glancing into Set's mechanized eye, and felt himself beginning to be affected. Ophi was too powerful for that though. The Serpent grimaced as he quickly thought up another tactic. "You're really dragging this out and I have somewhere to be!" Ophiuchus raised his arm and simply covered Set's right eye with his hand. A lightning spell surged through his hand and into Set's body. It would be enough to paralyze him, or at least force him to back off.

"... Krauser, I know you're here somewhere," Nathan called out lowly. "I've got some choice words for you!"
