✦ ✦Heading over to the fishing game, Aria took up her paper net and decided to have another go at the Wailmer Challenge. Flora had managed to complete this challenge at least two times… how in the world the Mawile managed that was beyond her. Maybe she was just that skilled at the game, or maybe she’d had far better luck at this than the Delphox did. Aria was determined to complete this challenge one way or another, and prepared herself for yet another go at it. Of course, as her luck would have it, the net wound up breaking again before she could manage to net herself a Wailmer. Aria sighed softly and shook her head, chalk that up to failure number three hundred and five now, taking the single ticket she was handed and heading off to try something else.✦ ✦

✦ ✦Deciding to start from the beginning again, Aria backpedaled to the dart game again. Her luck with this game had been pretty decent so far, but Arceus knows that wasn’t going to last for long. Still, she figured it was something to do while she waited for Aiden and Natalia to finish up with what business they needed to do here. Taking up her ten darts, she concentrated as best she could as she flung each and every one at their desired targets. Turns out she’d had the correct thinking that her luck wouldn’t last long, only managing to pop about three out of ten balloons this time around. Still, it was better than nothing, and she was glad to take her two tickets and head off to the next game. Perhaps she would hit up the arcade next, and hopefully not crash and burn again like the last several times.✦ ✦

✦ ✦Heading back into the arcade tent once again, Aria flexed her fingers as she scouted out another game for her to try out. She was determined to break her seemingly continuous streak of getting lousy scores on these games, one way or another. Putting on her best game face, she approached one console that looked to be a racing game, putting her hands on the controls and starting to play away. She actually fared quite a bit better than she had last time, and wound up finishing the race in 6th place. The Delphox allowed a small smile to cross her face as she took the three tickets that the machine gave her for a decent effort. Perhaps she was indeed starting to turn it all around now, granted she could still do far better than that, but it was progress at the very least.✦ ✦

✦ ✦As they walked through the small town by the island’s coast, Aiden went on to answer Natalia’s question as to why they had come here first. He explained that part of the reason was so that he could have a bit more time to prepare before they headed over to Five Island next, but the way Natalia raised an eyebrow was enough to say that she wanted more of an answer than that. The blonde quickly added that there was something here that they needed to pick up before they left, going on to explain Two Island’s reputation as the commercial powerhouse of the Sevii Islands. He recalled the many times that he and his mom had come to this island, as it was the only place where they could find Moomoo Milk on a regular basis, and they had done most of their shopping here. Natalia seemed awed by the island’s many connections to so many faraway regions, before Aiden went on to tell her about an old friend of his who lived on Five Island and the history of him and his Onix known as Tectonix. He remembered how much the boy had loved that Onix, and how similar the bond between them was to him and Daguerro back in the day. Hell, it had been one of the main factors that had brought them together as friends to begin with. However, Aiden’s expression saddened as he went on to explain Tectonix’s death, and how he had found out about the tragic news years ago when his friend came to his house and told them after they had managed to get him to calm down. Natalia seemed to share his feelings as a saddened look crossed her face, Aiden continuing his explanation about the Memorial Pillar and how people would leave offerings of lemonade, which had been Tectonix’s favorite drink when he had still been alive, and the boy would give them gifts in return for honoring the Onix’s memory. Two Island was one of the closest places in the region where it was sold in abundance, and Aiden wanted to pick up some so that he could pay his respects when they went to visit Five Island. Apart from that, he also wanted to check in with his old friend, the poor boy rarely ever left Tectonix’s shrine, always staying by it day after day… Aiden was glad that not everyone on Five Island had suffered the same fate when Team Void invaded long ago, knowing that his old friend and the illustrious Lady Selphy had managed to avoid the chaos. But still… he was determined to not leave the Sevii Isles without reestablishing connections with those he knew from back in those days. He gave a sad smile as Natalia sympathized with the boy and his deceased Onix, saying that she couldn’t begin to imagine how he must feel. She said that she would be happy to leave an offering of lemonade, and agreed that Aiden should check in with his old friend. ” Yeah, I intend to do just that,” he said with a nod, ” It’s the least I can do since it’s been so long since we last saw one another…” It was still hard to imagine how his friend had managed to stay by that shrine for as long as he had, for days, months, years… and Arceus knows that he would probably stay there for the rest of his life. Aiden imagined it must be hard for him, knowing that he wasn’t quite able to move on after suffering the loss of a lifelong friend. The blonde grimly wondered what it would have been like if he had done the same, building a shrine for his deceased Pokemon whom were killed by the Void assassin and staying by it for the rest of his life… Aiden grimaced at the thought, at least he was thankful that he had been able to pull himself together after a devastating loss like that, to be able to keep pressing on even if it meant having to start all over again… But he understood that not everyone was able to do the same, that there were plenty of people out there who spent their lives lingering in the past, unable to move on. Perhaps his friend would cheer up a little when he saw a familiar face after so long… Aiden could’ve sworn he’d seen Natalia shiver visibly out of the corner of his eye, and decided to try to change the subject after gathering his bearings. She seemed interested when he talked about Cape Brink where they could watch the fireworks over Treasure Beach, and the old woman of the mountain who could teach fully evolved starters powerful attacks. The blonde managed a small smile as Natalia said that it sounded like something worth checking out, and that they could head up to the cape after they got their lemonades. ” Sure, sounds like a plan~” he agreed with a chuckle, scanning the stalls as they walked down the path, ” Hopefully there’s a drink vendor around here that’s not too busy…” He had seen a lot of market stalls that were selling beverages, but most of them had really long lines and it could be a while for them to able to get their lemonades if they waited around. Then again, it was to be expected, since it was one of the most popular items that was sold here around this time of year. As they were approaching the edge of town leading up and out towards the cape, Aiden’s eyes lit on a small stand by the town’s outskirts where two little children were selling lemonade. Even better, the line there looked to be significantly shorter than at most of the other vendors. ” How about that one?” he asked as he looked to Natalia, gesturing towards the lemonade stand. With how short the line was, they wouldn’t be waiting too long to get what they needed, and it was close enough to the town outskirts that they could get their lemonades and be well on their way to Cape Brink in record time.✦ ✦

The redhead wanted to do a bit of shopping here before they went to One Island to meet with Kraven, she hoped her ebon-haired companion was enjoying herself so far at the festival. ” Why don’t you go play some more games, Klaus?” she suggested with a smile to her Zoroark, gesturing towards the game corner, ” Let’s try to reach at least a hundred tickets before it’s over, so that we have more to spend on at the prize booth~” She had seen quite a few things she would like when they had passed the prize tent back on Five Island, including Mega Stones, berries, and a menagerie of TMs that were up for grabs by anyone with the tickets for it. ” In the meantime, I’m going to do a little shopping, I want to grab a nice Luxury Ball or something for Astrid while we’re here,” she said, gesturing towards the marketplace, ” I shouldn’t be too long. We’ll meet up at the docks in about five minutes, okay?” Klaus chuckled softly, giving a nod of understanding and a mock salute to her.” As you wish, m’lady~”he remarked politely, giving a chivalrous bow to her before he was soon sprinting away towards the game booths once again. Weaving his way through the crowds, he made his way over towards one of the games that was slowly becoming a favorite of his. Approaching the darts booth, he wasted no time in gathering up his projectiles and taking aim at the balloons on the far panel. He flung each and every one with careful precision, aiming to do as well as he possibly could. His efforts turned out to be well worth it in the end, he had popped all ten of the balloons in a single go! Klaus was practically beaming with pride as he took the six tickets he was awarded, now he had something to truly brag about when he met back up with Phoenix soon. He was soon off to the next game, eager to see just how far his luck would take him this time around.】☆ ☆

☆ ☆【Next, Klaus decided to hit up the arcade again, figuring he would mix up the way he did these games a little. Entering the tent, he scouted out the array of consoles for a game that he figured would be quite enjoyable to play. Ah, there was a neat little fighting game a la Tekken that he could give a whirl. The Zoroark cracked his knuckles and popped his neck a few times, moving over and getting settled with the console’s controls before starting to play. He managed to put up a good fight, managing to beat his opponent at least two times out of three in what was so far a tie between them. The third round, however, the CPU beat him down pretty good, ending with him garnering a pretty decent score overall. Not quite his best, but certainly not the worst he’s done with these games. He gladly took the three tickets the machine pumped out for him, disappearing into the crowd once more in search of the next game.】☆ ☆

✿ ❀ Isis blushed and snorted at the notion that she'd already written all about it in her diary. "I h-have no such thing!!! And even if I did it would take a while to type it all out no doubt..." Isis' reaction said it all. Obviously the story between her and Leon was fake and they were making a game of how long they could keep this back and forth going, but Isis did have a diary, and there was certainly things written in it that she didn't want anyone else reading. She was happy to fantasize a blue victorian dress that matched Nimah though, and compared the idea to the dress that a cosplay pikachu doll wore.
When Isis found out that Dumuzi's mother had the very edition Isis thought of, the blonde had to ask if perhaps Dumuzi's mother was a coordinator as well. According to Dumuzi, her mother was in a contest or two once, but there was tension in the topic, tension that even Dumuzi didn't understand. She suggested that maybe it was because she and her brother weren't interested, or perhaps because her mother missed coordinating but certainly didn't want to go back to it, or couldn't go back to it because of the circumstances she was in. When Dumuzi mentioned that she would ask about it when things settled down though, Isis tilted her head in slight confusion. "Settle down? What do you mean? Did something happen?" Isis asked. She still had no real idea of Dumuzi's background and her current situation, but then again she had no reason to suspect much more than a girl aspiring to be a coordinator.
Leon however reappeared soon after, explaining a bit why he had gone and offering compensation in the form of large plushies. As Dumuzi started to stir up trouble though by suggesting that Isis had been upset with Leon, Isis' jaw dropped with mock offense, and the blonde soon moved to ruffle Dumuzi's hair and poke at her playfully as revenge. "Why you little liar!~ I said no such thing!" Of course it was hard to try and effectively tickle Du with one arm full of a large stuffed Arcanine, and it would be much harder to dance with, which Isis mentioned sheepishly.
Thankfully Leon had a suggestion, that Kai hold it in the meantime while they danced. Isis would have insisted that Kai didn't have to, but the gator was already up and holding out his arms for the plush, so Isis giggled and gave Kai her Arcanine for now. "Okay Kai, I'm entrusting you with him for now~ Thank you for holding him." Isis kissed the gator's jaw in thanks. Meanwhile Dumuzi inquired what exactly Leon had gotten from Lady Selphy anyways. She wondered if it was a pokemon, but Leon had instead claimed a special pokeball for Kai. "Well that's sweet~ I'm sure Kai will enjoy that." Isis nodded.
It was then that Theo approached the group once again, asking to join them, and with the music playing all around them and with Theo being rather soft spoken, she heard nothing of his comment indicating that Isis was the only girl in the group. "Of course you can join us! It's about time too." Isis chuckled. Theo couldn't have been having too much fun shying away from the rest of them all on his lonesome. Whatever clouds that had been hanging over him previously seemed to have disappeared at least and he was more willing to try and participate, so isis was going to encourage it. Leon seemed glad that Theo was finally going to try to dance as well, but as Kai bent over and rested his head atop Dumuzi's, Leon couldn't help but point out that Theo's date seemed to have been stolen by the gator. "Pft. I'm sure Kai's willing to share. After all, he's been sharing me with you~" Isis teased, nudging Leon a bit with a grin. ✿ ❀

☆ ☆【Klaus went over to the ring toss game next, readying his best throwing arm as he approached the booth. He was determined to get all three rings around those bottles, though so far his luck had been rather so-so when it came to this one. After acquiring his three hoops, he balanced each one carefully between his claws before tossing them towards the empty glass containers. Two of his shots ended up either falling woefully short or completely overshooting their targets, but one lone hoop managed to land around a bottle. Well, that certainly could’ve gone far better, but at least he hadn’t missed all of his throws entirely. He accepted the two tickets he was handed for his efforts, adding them to his small stash as he headed off to try the fortune wheel again.】☆ ☆

☆ ☆【Klaus soon found himself standing in line for the Wheel of Fortune, ready to have another go at it. He had been having quite the unfortunate streak with this one, at least two times in a row he had ended up scoring a one on this wheel of ‘fortune’. Hopefully he could turn it around with a nice seven or even a nine, like what they had been scoring at this before the wheel decided to essentially screw him over twice in a row. Taking a deep breath, he approached it when it came to be his turn, giving the wheel a vigorous spin and stepping back to watch it go. He crossed his fingers and hoped as hard as he could as it gradually slowed down and came to a stop, but apparently he hadn’t hoped hard enough. Yet another one… He just couldn’t catch a break with this, could he? Well, they did say that misfortunes tended to come in threes, it was only fitting that he get a third one to add on top of the other two he had gotten the last time he’d tried this. Nonetheless, he took his single ticket, hoping that by now he would have filled up his bad luck quota. In the meantime, it was probably about time that he head back over to the docks to meet up with Phoenix, and he started making his way there with a brisk pace.】☆ ☆

Flora was pretty darn pissed off, storming around the fairgrounds looking for a new game, something, anything that she could do well at. In her haste and blind rage though, she turned on a heel and slammed right into a hooded figure. She fell back onto her rump and glared up at the person angrily. "Oi! Watch where the hell you're going, I'm walkin' here!" Flora snarled, however she was picked up by the figure with an amused look on her face. "You're quite the loudmouth aren't you?" Yang said somewhat tauntingly, and Flora's face flushed in anger. Unfortunately the disguised Zorua had picked the wrong pissed off fairy to mess with, and Flora promptly had one of the flytrap jaws attached to her head chomp down on Yang's illusionary arm.
The Zorua gave a yelp and dissolved back into his normal black and white colored self, dropping all of his tickets at once. Flora was dropped to the ground with a thud as well, and she sat up quickly, about to rage more, only to find that rather than a human, she was up against a puny Zorua. "Heh... Yer dead meat ya little-" Yang nearly jumped out of his fur as he took off running, and Flora debated whether it was worth giving case or not. However, she did notice all the tickets the Zorua had gathered fluttering to the ground, so Flora gathered them up for Natalia. She'd hit the jackpot!

Natalia had to admit, it was good to see that Aiden was going to try and reconnect to old friends, however she was immeasurably sorry the reunions couldn't be under better circumstances. Natalia's arms tightened slightly around Thalia in a gentle embrace. So much of the bad circumstances was her fault too, so she had to make herself go with him, to see the damage done. It was her retribution and her punishment, one she wanted to endure, and she would start by getting a Lemonade for Tectonix.
Aiden seemed to like her plan of grabbing lemonades and then heading up to check out the cape until Aiden was ready to face five island again, and then began to scout out a drink vendor that didn't look too busy. "There ought to be at least one... If not an empty line, then a shorter line than the others..." Natalia suggested optimistically, but the area was quite overwhelmed with people, it was sometimes hard to tell if people were waiting in line for a stand or if they just happened to be around it. Thankfully Aiden spotted a stand on the outskirts of town with a very short line, though the stand appeared to be run by two children. "O-oh.... Right... That looks... Uh... Y-yeah..." Natalia stammered. It was the best shot they had at getting lemonade, but Arceus, Natalia was uncomfortable around children....
It wasn't that they disgusted her, or that she didn't like their immaturity, but they were so innocent and easily influenced by the people they interacted with, and Natalia wasn't exactly a great influence herself. It was almost like she feared scaring them, scarring them away, or ruining their innocence somehow just by being near them or playing with them. "C-could you just um.... Take this and buy me one? I'll wait for you over here." Natalia insisted, digging some cash out of her pocket and holding it out to Aiden while avoiding eye contact.

She had seen the man here selling special Pokeballs for supposedly ‘discount’ prices, and the line was rather short since it was some distance away from where the crowds were thickest. The redhead got in line, waiting patiently as each person in front of her picked out what they needed and paid up before moving on elsewhere. Apparently Luxury Balls were also fairly popular, Phoenix was almost afraid that there wouldn’t be any more left by the time she got up there. She avoided looking him in the eyes as she handed him the money, picking up the Luxury Ball and tucking it away into her bag. ” Th-Thank you, sir…” she said with a nod, chancing bringing her eyes up to meet his gaze before she turned and walked away as quickly as possible. A shiver ran up her spine as she could feel the man’s eyes follow after her, she hadn’t meant to be rude but she wasn’t quite sure how to tell him she just wasn’t interested. For now, she just focused on getting over to the docks where Klaus was likely waiting for her. She took a deep breath to clear the red from her cheeks, gathering her bearings just as she saw the familiar figure waving at her as she approached port.” Hey Phee, I heard through the grapevine that there was a sweet dance party going on over at Cape Brink~ Think we should go?”asked the Zoroark with a chuckle as she came into view, a dorky grin on his face as he gestured over towards the path leading towards the farther reaches of the island. ” I think I’ll pass,” Phoenix said flatly, puffing out her cheeks with a sigh, ” Anyways, we got what we came here for, let’s get going to One Island to meet up with Kraven finally.” She wanted to just get off of this island as quickly as possible, the last thing she wanted was for that guy to come chasing after her and asking for her digits. Klaus nodded in understanding, walking along with her as they got on board the Seagallop and directed the captain to take them to One Island. She gave a sigh and a raised her right arm to grasp her left. ”I, um… I kinda borrowed one of my brothers pokemon without consent and then took a midnight train to Kalos where I had planned to start my journey.” Dumuzi gave a defeated sigh and closed her eyes, she clearly wasn’t proud of her actions, but they were hers and she would have to bear the consequences of her actions eventually. ”My brother is a wiz when it comes to pokemon and my parents are always talking about him so… I thought that if I could be a better pokemon trainer then he was that they would be proud of me too. I know it wasn’t right, but… I just wanted to give them a reason to be proud of me. Even then I botched that up pretty good. Hopefully my run as a contestant will be a bit better than my disastrous start as a Pokemon trainer.” Granted, if she had to do it all over again to find herself like this, then she would do it in a heartbeat. She wasn’t so much disappointed in herself that she stole a pokemon from her brother as he was never going to use her ever, but it was more that she didn’t start her journey off right. That she did regret and wished she could do over again. ”My mom’s going to tear my face off…” It was going to be hard to tell how Isis might react to the news that her friend stole a pokemon and then made off like a bandit into the night, it could be credited as Dumuzi just being young and making those stupid choices. Hopefully she didn’t lose her friend over this.
It was about then that Leon came back with gifts for the pair of them. Dumuzi held her new plushy close as she started to cause some innocent mischief again. Dumuzi set an innocent look on her face and batted her eyelashes at Isis when she was called a little liar, the cute look defensive move had no effect on Isis as she moved towards Dumuzi who had her hair ruffled and her sides poked in retaliation of her sass a little earlier. Dumuzi didn’t have much space to back into and ended up getting poked in her sides where she burst into giggles and bent a little bit to the side as if she was desperately attempting to block her ticklish spots… though it was far too late to do anything about it. Dumuzi grinned a bit at Isis, okay, she was willing to call a truce for now and let everyone get on with their dancing. When Leon mentioned that he got a ‘gs ball’, Dumuzi couldn’t help but tilt her head to the side a bit and gave Leon a puzzled look. ”A… gs ball? What is that? Is that like what Isis had for-“ Dumuzi stopped herself and had to ponder about how to ask if it was the same pokeball that Isis got her Celebi in. ”her special pokemon?” GS? Was that a gold and Silver ball or did it stand for something else that she wasn’t sure about. Dumuzi could hardly keep track of all these pokeballs that were out there.
Dumuzi was having a blast with Leon and Isis, they thought of her as a girl and treated her as such. It was something of a social experiment for Dumuzi and so far she was really enjoying it. Being referred to in the female pronouns was surprisingly liberating for her. She didn’t know why, but she was finding it so much easier to open up to her new friends when they were treating her like she was a girl. There was something about it that just made her feel good and it all felt so natural for her. Theo finally decided that he was ready to join in and came over them and he addressed the group. ‘Hey guys, and Lady of course.’ But there was a harsh truth to face here. Dumuzi wasn’t what she was presenting herself as. She wasn’t really what she was making herself out to be and Theo only reminded her of that. It wasn’t his fault, she didn’t ask for him to refer to her in female pronouns and she was introduced to him as a guy. She wasn’t going to scold him for it, as it was the truth, but she couldn’t stop herself from hurting from it either. It was strange that she was having these feelings, she never had them before and it wasn’t the first time that female pronouns were used to describe him before. But this time was… different. She was having fun and was relaxed when it came to being like this, being treated and talked to as though she was a biological girl. Dumuzi cuddled her plushy a little tighter and dropped her eyes downwards and to the right.

Here she was, dressed up like a girl and having the time of her life, but what did that mean for her? She promised Taz that she would work on her own happiness while on her journey, but to what extent did this have to go in terms of her happiness? What was she willing to try in order to find this happiness that she sacrificed for the sake of others and for the sake of her family’s reputation?

She knew that her hobbies and what not could be enjoyed by both genders even thought they were more traditionally female, but… if that was the case then was her happiness based on something so artificial as how the world saw her? Was she just… effeminate or was there something more to it that she just hadn’t thought of or awakened to yet? Who was she, she knew what she liked but what did this translate to shaping her as a person. If Isis and Leon found out about her, would they treat her differently or would they continue on doing what they were doing now?
God, you’re such a freak. You’re a guy so why don’t you act like one? You act like such a girl all the time, Dumuzi. Maybe you should go to a shrink or something and get your head examined.
Where they all right? Was she really just a girl after all? Or was there more to it? Was she insane? Did she really need to get some mental help after all? Was there something wrong with her after all that made her broken? She had toiled with these thoughts and ideas before but she had never had such a positive experience like this before to put things into a different perspective before. It was disorienting for her to think that maybe there was something more to what those other kids were saying and that it was obvious to everyone but herself? Or… was it that easy?

…who was she? Why was she here? How many times had she asked herself that in order to find the answers that she wanted. But it seemed like every time she reached out to grasp the answer it would disappear further into a fog of her own ignorance of herself. She wondered if things would have been different for her if she was born a girl, or if they would have remained the same and these answers would have only followed her despite the crossing of the gender barrier that she would have gone through.

”A while ago, she asked Taz if he thought that perhaps all these female pokemon the flocked to her was some sort of sign from the universe, and he had said that it could be. Where the signs already there despite not being able to see them clearly at the time? It made her wonder if she was only one that wasn’t seeing something that the others were. Maybe she was so desperate to be what everyone else wanted her to be that she was blinded to who she was. But then again…

What if he did something and went too far and became miserable again? Dumuzi just… didn’t know what to do at the moment, these feelings that she was having and the fun that she was experiencing, was this all something that she should take as another sign and take this into consideration about this happiness that he was hunting for? Dumuzi felt Kai rest his muzzle gently on her head and she reached up and gently stroked the side of his face, deep in thought for a moment about her plight and what she was missing in her life. Dumuzi realized that it seemed to be her turn to speak about Theo joining them again. She closed her eyes and smiled. ”Sure you can, if you want to.” Her voice was soft, perhaps even a bit distant as her thoughts were still rising to the top of her head like a bubble. She wasn’t sure what to think at the moment. But she knew that she would have to sort throw them at some point and now didn’t seem like it would be an appropriate time. She didn’t to worry her friends or spoil their fun so she put on a happy face for them, just like she did for everyone else.

It would be nice to see his old friend again, to be able to see a familiar face that he remembered from way back when. He only wished that the reunion could be under better circumstances… surely his friend would ask him why Rocket wasn’t standing by his side like he usually was… Still, the blonde kept repeating in his head that they would cross that bridge when they got there. Right now, he was simply delaying the inevitable by coming here to Two Island, but at the same time what they needed was of great importance. He wouldn’t dare to show up at Memorial Pillar without lemonade to offer his friend’s long deceased companion. Thalia glanced up towards Natalia with worry in her pale blue eyes when she felt the girl’s embrace tighten around her a bit, the Sylveon offering a few gentle nuzzles and lightly stroking her cheek with a feeler in an attempt to comfort her.” Fey…”she said quietly, pressing as close as she could to the girl. Nevertheless, Aiden was more than happy to welcome a change in subject, happily agreeing to Natalia’s suggestion of picking up a couple of lemonades and heading over to check out Cape Brink before they left for Five Island. Now it was just a matter of finding a beverage vendor that wasn’t completely overrun by the crowds… A lot of the stands had very long lines, and most of the time it was hard to tell if people were actually waiting around to buy things at the stalls or not. He nodded as Natalia suggested that there should at least be one vendor that at least had a shorter line, maybe it wouldn’t be as crowded as they got closer to the part of the path that lead up towards Cape Brink. Sure enough, Aiden spotted a small stand on the outskirts of town with a nice, short line, the stall in particular appeared to be run by two small children. He suggested that they go to that one, since the line was short and the path to Cape Brink was only a stone’s throw away from where the stand was. Natalia, on the other hand, seemed quite uncomfortable as she stammered, struggling to voice her agreement. Aiden tilted his head curiously as he looked at her, wondering what was troubling her. Was she afraid of the children? The blonde wasn’t quite sure why, but he could understand that there were people out there who weren’t necessarily comfortable around little kids. Natalia took out her wallet and fished out some money, offering it to him as she asked him to buy one for her and that she’d wait for him here. A small smile crossed Aiden’s face as he accepted the money from her, reaching out and lightly taking hold of her hand. ” Hey, c’mon now, no need to be so nervous~” he coaxed gently, giving her hand a tender squeeze, ” I understand if you’re not really comfortable around kids, but there’s nothing to be afraid of, trust me on this~” He lightly tugged her along, heading over to the lemonade stand to grab their place in line before more people started coming. ” If it’ll help you feel better, just leave the talking to me~” he reassured with a warm smile, hoping to help ease her nerves if only a little bit. Sure enough, as they were coming over, the last person standing in the line before had bought their lemonade and set off on their merry way. Aiden smiled as he took in the sight of the stand, simple and clearly handmade from wood, with a little sign over it that read ‘Lemonade’ with adorable little sketches of Pokemon all around the word. ” What a cute little stall~” he said with a smile as he looked towards the kids running the stand, two young girls who looked to be twins. Both had long, strawberry blonde hair tied back in braided twintails, and they were dressed exactly the same as one another with the only difference being the Pokemon-themed hairclips they wore.” Thanks, mister~”chimed the twin with the Skitty clips, the both of them looking up at the two trainers with bright smiles.” Would you like some lemonade? It’s only two dollars per can~”spoke up the other twin, who had Sylveon clips adorning her bright red locks. Aiden chuckled and offered them an amiable smile in return, these kids were just so cute, and twins nonetheless! ” Two, please~” he said politely, pulling a couple of dollars out of his pocket and handing them over along with the money Natalia had given him. The twin with the Skitty hairclips happily accepted the money, placing it inside a small metal cashbox on the stand’s counter that was clearly quite filled up with dollar bills of varying values. The other twin went over to a small cooler a few feet behind the stand, opening it up and fishing out two cans of ice cold lemonade before bringing them back to the counter and handing them out to the two trainers. Aiden accepted the lemonades with a wide smile and a polite ‘thank you’ to the young girl.” Thanks for your business! Have a nice day and enjoy the rest of Tanabata~”chirped the twin with the Sylveon hairpins, smiling and waving to the two before the kids directed their attention to the next customer in line. Aiden nodded and smiled warmly, turning to Natalia and offering her one of the cans of lemonade he held.✦ ✦

Well, let see what the wheel of fortune was going to result in today. Dumuzi gave the wheel a spin and took a step back as she waited for the momentum to slow down and show her the result that she was going to win. As the wheel started to slow, Dumuzi frown a bit, she had a feeling that the wheel wasn’t going to be as generous as it usually was towards her. Her assumptions were confirmed when the wheel came to a stop at a one and she was rewarded with a single ticket. Oh well, she could have better luck in the future. For right now though, she would accept her measly winnings with grace and a polite thanks to the vendor.
