User ImageThough he knew that it was simply a phrase, in the back of Ric's mind he found the need to check his hair in the mirror, however, unlike his youngest brother, Ric was able to resist his urges, "Of course, and I am certain you will be glad to know that both Zireno and Cyrith are safe."

User ImageThe Queen sighed a breath of relief, "That is good to hear. I know you three are young man now...but I can't help but worry for you all." She couldn't help remembering back when the princes were young. When they use to sneak around and play harmless pranks. Though those days were long gone since the kings illness. Vandraya shook the thought from her head, now wasn't the time to reminisce. "In any case, please tell me all that has happen downstairs on the way to the library."

Grant responded to the queen. "We can talk in the library but not before." Grant looked to some of his guards. "You two follow us." As he turned around there was Ric. "Good your just in time. Yes, please, tell us what you know of what went on in the main hall."

User ImageAs the group made their way down the staircase, Ric began regaling on what had happened. How the lights had faded and he and Cyrith were led to the door, how the doors had locked and the floors glowed green. Of course, Ric downplayed the small spat with Zireno but still it had happened so he felt no need to exclude it, "... and so I left Cyrith behind to calm Zireno and came upstairs to check on father, only to find intruders were in our midst."

User Image"I see. A lot has happen in just one night. Mind not your brother, he'll come around in due time." As they approached a door at the end of a hallway, Vandraya turn to Grant. Her voice was soft like before. "Now is the time for me to explain...to both of you." Her graceful pace stop right in front of the large door of the library.

The Knights took the two downstairs, though they found it hard to believe they were imprisoning children of anything. The Knights were beginning to think there Captain was going overboard or just crazy. Despite it all, Grant was still there Captain and had never been wrong before or at least often. Grog and Sylvan were placed in one of the dungeon cells: Grog was collective and calm, while Sylvan went to the cell kicking and screaming. One Knight she even bit and she bit him hard enough to cause an instant bruise. The two Tou were dumped in the dungeon and the cell door was locked behind them by the Knight in charge of the dungeon. Sylvan immediately started screaming at Grog, knowing very well he could have done something.

"You idiot! Who knows how long we'll be stuck in here! Break us out already! I know you can! Stop ignoring me!"

Grog sat down against a wall and just ignored her; he was knowledgeable unlike her and knew how things were or might turn out.

"If we break out, we'll only get in more trouble, Sylvan. We should wait here for whoever comes to hear our case. If no one comes by sun's break, I'll bust us out."

Sylvan wasn't too happy to hear that, but she knew trying to persuade Grog otherwise was like trying to move a mountain. She decided to just give up and turn in for the night; no point in spending the night yelling at Grog in curses. Grog also laid down in a stack of hay while Sylvan laid down in another, both falling quickly asleep; Grog’s wounds stung a bit since the Knights didn't bother to patch him up, but he had endured worse before.

Elsewhere in the library was the servant Grog and Sylvan had encountered before when the strange event locked them outside. He was searching through books, but for another reason. The servant had once found a book in the library that listed all the dining behaviors of different kingdoms and lands in one book, but he was unable to find it again.

"Oh dear...This isn't good at all! Were in the world could it be? This won't be good at all..."

No one else could have taken it, but the servant was unsure where he had last seen it. If the servant didn't find the one book, he wouldn't be able to improve his servant expertise.

Grant nodded then turned to his men. "Wait outside the door." Grant then opened the door for the queen and prince Ric. After they entered Grant followed. Looking around the room Grant never ceased to be amazed by the number of books that the royal family had collected over the years. Looking to the scribes that wear all working around the room Grant looked to the queen to clear the room of them so they could continue.

User ImageRic followed his mother into the large library where he had spent much of his childhood immersed in studies. The shelves had always seemed endless back then, and even now that he was twenty eight, they were still quite impressive. "Please, my good scribes, we require a moment of Privacy!" the Prince announced to the room.

User ImageThe scribes bowed humbly to them as they sat down their writing quills. They left the room without a single word. The last of them gently closed the door behind them. The Queen nod her head and turn to Grant and Ric. "Trust captain of the knights. My son and soon to be King. I only speak these words to you, for I trust you two the most. Come." She began walking to towards the center of the library. "What happen tonight was just a whisper of the past. His highness, when we were young, told me tales of this. Though at first I thought he was joking. But it's all too real. It's something that been kept a secret in this family for a long time now. Ric. You and your brothers haven't heard of this because we thought you boys weren't ready. What I'm about to tell you is something that you must guard and protect." She stopped in mid strive and turn to Grant. "And you need not worry about your right to hear. The same story was told to your father as well."

The servant was disappointed he had to leave before he could claim that book he was looking for, but the royalty were the masters in this castle and his dedication required him to be as obedient as possible. However, he was under previous orders to find that book that over threw the orders of royalty, so he simply stayed outside the door and waited for entrance back inside. The servant kept his snooty posture even when he wasn’t being watched; that was just how he was. What was going on inside was probably very top secret, but the servant was more sure his book would tell him things far more interesting or at least interesting to the servant.

((Can't take it anymore...))

Alexander had given up trying to wake Henna since the events in the castle seem to cease, but there were certainly signs of struggle or something when Alexander left Henna's quarters only to find a broken window just across the hall. Alexander really wanted to know what had happen, so despite the fact he was still in pajamas, Alexander went downstairs to see if anything else had happened.

Upon entry downstairs, Alexander could see most of the guests had already left. This was good since the bathrooms were unoccupied; Alexander really had to go and was holding it trying to wake Henna. After taking a quick, but long needed bathroom break, Alexander decided to find Grant since the Captain of Knights usually knew what was going on. After asking a few guards and some other servants, Alexander was told Grant was in the library; a place he always wanted to go to. Upon arrival however, he was blocked by a closed door and a servant who also seemed to be waiting.

"What is going on? Why is the library closed?"

The servant turned to the child or at least what he thought was a child at first, but years of dining expertise told the servant otherwise; this child was actually at least fifty years old.

"The Queen and her sons along with a Sir Grant are conversating in the Royal Library; it will be a time before they are finished sir."

Alexander wasn't in the mood to wait some more, but Grant was obviously tied to the incident and if Alexander was lucky, Grant would tell him what the Queen was telling him. Even better was Alexander had a chance to meet the Queen and her sons; he never actually met them truly, but Alexander assumed because of his class he wouldn't get to meet them or even be told about this night's events and thus was the plight of a servant; secrets were kept from you and people judged you before even meeting you.

((Edit: Sorry, use to play as a character named Grant for another RP. I sometimes accidently place Grant's name instead of ALexander's in the first phase of making a post due to that, I'm not trying to God Mod. And Alexander also doesn't know there is only one son in the library or that is just my lazy excuse for not editting amymore))

User Image(and there's only a son, singular)

'What sort of secret could father possibly have kept that I am not old enough to hear? I am twenty-eight years old!' Ric pondered as avoided his mother's glaze. Did his father truly not trust HIM to protect a secret? He had spent practically his entire life protecting one thing or another. He protected his brothers since he was young, something which had triggered his powers to manifest when assassins had invaded the castle on his fourteenth birthday. He was now even preparing to protect the kingdom by taking over for his father, and yet this he was not trusted enough to protect until now, "Well mother, tell us, what is this secret?"

User Image"Please understand Ric. It's not your age that concern us, it was the additional responsibility that comes with it. It's a heavy burden to carry. Me and your father felt that you had too much to worry about as it is." She went over to a near by bookcase and took one of the book from it. This seemed odd since it was in the placed with other folktales and children books. "Remember when you were little. Your father read this to you boys before bed." She handed Ric an old book. The stories was about two siblings fighting over ownership of a piece of land. The youngest one wanted land for the rare gem that held untold power. He wanted it all for himself but in the end the eldest brother won the land. The eldest brother soon discovered what his younger brother was after and decided to build a castle over the stone so that nobody could find it nor use it for evil gain. A simple kid story.

User Image"Of course, I remember, Cyrith would always get upset and say they should share," Ric smirked, of course his youngest brother was not very old back in those days, and was also going through his 'mine!' stage... which he had never quite recovered from, "But it seems that now is not the time for fairytales."
