Mashed Computer Eccentric Iconoclast Somehow, it depresses me that the Worst Sounding Language thread survives but this one doesn't. >.< LANGUAGES ARE PRETTY, DAMMIT. But on the other hand, this thread has more posts than the Worst Sounding Language thread. That's probably because it's existed like nineteen times as long. talk2hand

Italian and Japanese- both are really melodic and flowing and can yet sound harsh and edgy when angry. The tone can change COMPLETELY and that's what makes them cool. I can't stand it when people say German is ugly sad It's beautiful and the only experience they've had with it is hearing a Nazi general yelling at his troops in propaganda war movies (Same with Russian).
I surprisingly don't like French that much, and I speak it too. When people say it's romantic sounding I just don't get what they're talking about...... But that's just my opinion.
I like the sound of Korean- it's very choppy sounding and like JApanese and Italian, can sound cute and elegant at one moment and then edgy at another. For some reason I just think that's cool.

I seriously love Russian, Italian and Japanese. They sound soooo pretty and i love the way it sounds. heart 4laugh

There are so many pretty/beautiful/nice langauges out there! I can't pick one. xd But I will list some. Some of these you might not call exactly "pretty" but they do have an attractiveness about them or some other quality that I would rank next to "pretty".

.Icelandic
.Japanese
.Korean
.Cantonese
.Russian
.Arabic
.Hebrew
.Hindi/Hindustani (the way my friend speaks them)
.Hungarian
.Finnish
.French
.and this one Brythonic language that I heard my friend's grandparents speak, I don't remember what it was! I really loved it though.
I'm not into Italian that much, or Spanish. Dont know why, but I'm not. *shrug*

I love the guttural languages, like German, and a lot of Easter European languages... XD I also love Chinese! And Japanese, though it is rather boring tone wise! razz
I don't know! T^T I can't choose ONE language! O:

French, Japanese, Dutch, Russian and German.
I used to think Russian and German were ugly sounding and way too rough. But one of my friends learned to speak Russian and it just sounds beautiful to me now. Than another one of my friends is learning German and it's starting to sound pleasant.
Also Sign Language. Not a beautiful sounding language but a beautiful looking at language.
That's what I'm learning!

If I haven't said this here, my absolute favorite language sound-wise is Nahuatl. I don't think there's a language on the planet that flows better.

I can't remember whether or not I've posted in this thread *__* but, I think all languages are beautiful :'D However we must pick favourites~
I think Irish is absolutely gorgeous <3 and what I've heard of Norwegian, too.

The prettiest languages I'd say .. are probably French and Italian . Italian in my eyes is just a really pretty, smooth-sounding language. (: Hopefully after I learn French, I'll learn Italian (People say they're both very similar, so it'll be easier to learn).
A lot of people I know say Spanish is probably one of the prettiest/beautiful languages .. but I don't know , it's just the way it sounds , I don't really like it . :S
