Exor Omega TtheHero While perusing my collection of VG mp3s, i can't help but say that the Megaman Series has given us some of the best music out there by and far!
Here's a little sample of one the BGM from one of the stages in Megaman 7 for the SNES.
]http://youtube.com/watch?v=Zdz0Gkf9R5o Seconded. I also am a fan of Zelda and F-Zero, and Mario, of course! And Sonic?? sweatdrop

Yin Yun Yang And no dying. Yo people resting on your laurels or something? I've been busy as of late, doing reviews for Classic Game Room Forums (Inecom Entertainment Company), working, and doing my radio stuff. I'll probably do something....now: Welcome back to another edition of Mephisto's Music Mania. This time we feature a piece from KOF 94 called Napolitan Blues. This is the theme of the Italy Team, or as you may better know them, the Fatal Fury Team. This combines an Italian piece of music with a blues/urban feel. It has a nice mix of a heavy bass line with an Italian music box and acoustic guitars. Picture fighting people while standing on a gondola going through Venice. That's the vibe you get with this piece. There are 2 versions of the piece, the original soundtrack and the arrange. I wasn't on for a few days as you can see. Sigh... it happens when I decide to grow a backbone about things I don't like yet am forced to do... But whatevs! Thanks for keeping this thread alive!
And remember! ANYONE is free to review a game they happen to like, okay?

Now then ladies and gents, time now for another review!
Now, normally Mephisto would cover fighting games in the SNK department, but this particular one I've been playing for a good bit, and personally, I feel it's VC-worthy!
The name of the game is Waku Waku 7, see?
Its a humourous little fighting game with a bit of a storyline.
"It is said that the person who collects all sevens of the legendary WakuWaku balls will have their dearest wish granted. Those who find one of the balls become obsessed with the ruthless desire to obtain the others, who will be victorious in the bitter battle to become the owner of all the balls. Victory or defeat - it all lies in your hand."
Put simply, all of the 7 playable characters ( 9 in all, but 1 is a boss and the other is a bonus stage char) have one of these mystic balls, and you must fight the others to claim theirs.
This being said, the cast of chars is rather small, which may be a drawback to some... but their charm makes up for it!
Each of them seems to implement traits from or apear to be based on other famous Capcom/SNK chars.
 Arina - Ryu/Ken, Athena/Mai
 Dandy-J - Joseph Joestar (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)/Kyo Kusanagi
Mauru - Sasquatch (Darkstalkers)/Donovan/Huitzil(Not cause of fighting style, but mainly cause he is accompanied by a young girl, who rides piggyback on him)
Politank-Z - Can't really identify whom this one was inspired from, but since he can deal good damage with little combos, one can say Zangief perhaps.
Rai - compared to Terry Bogard, but he can also be considered the "Ryu" of this game, as Arina is like the "Ken"
 Slash - Strider/Ukyo(Samurai Showdown)
Tesse - Hsien-ko(Mainly cause of her QCF-P attack, which can be held longer to produce a stronger item, and the last items ALWAYS dizzies opponent, just like Hsien-ko's move)
Now for the non playable pair (cept on the console's 2-plyer mode!)
Bonus-Kun - Gameplay-wise he is like a spoof of Ryu, down to his attacks! but since he is a sandbag and has no arms and legs, he cannot grab crouch or block.
Makaitaitei Fernandez! - The Boss character.
I know, I know, he looks like a dark Kirby on LSD, but don't let that heartwarming face fool ya! he hits HARD. even his Harahara attack (a move ALL chars have, which is strong, UNBLOCKABLE, and has mondo warm up time) can take a healthy chunk off you! He is as tall as a skyscraper, so before the fight, your character is enlarged to contend against him.
Now you know that chars, here's some screenshots!
Arina vs Rai. Like i said, they're like the Ryu and Ken of this game. Every fighting game seems to have a pair like that, I noticed...
Rai using his Harahara attack. Note the big-a** warning sign that practically screams, "HIT HIM OR YOU'LL GET PWNT!"
Like I said, I feel this NeoGeo title is SO VC-worthy! Hey, if they put BLue's Journey on the VC, which was another title I recommend, then maybe there's hope for this too!
That's all for now, friends. Cheers!

Yes, Waku Waku 7 is worth a VC release, but personally when it comes down to it, I'd rather play Rage of the Dragons, Last Blade 1 and 2, or Garou: Mark of the Wolves.

I_love_Inuyasha1 Ah ha! That boss was in your sig awhile ago. So that's where he comes from... Yep yep! I SO wanted to play as Fernandez so badly, after seeing what he could do.
He had this one move where he grabbed you with his toungue chewed, and shot you outta his bum! rofl
And this ghey one where he usus his lips on you and.. well the command for it is tricky, but once you get it and start pressing down on a button repeatedly, you can continue to sap HP from the opponent, though not as fast as the CPU can do.
I even got a MUGEN char for him.
