A noncommittal look of relaxation on Wesley's face, he let his missed kick hover in the air to the left of his target. In a flash he let loose his trap as his black-tipped tail snapped like a whip and caught Tybron in the face. The blow would send the frail boy back upright immediately after his dodge, perfectly in line to eat a backward heel to the skull with the same boot as before. A one-two punch.

The descrepancy between their powers was vast...Taliman has the upper hand again.
::Sir Aaron spoke with the same somber tone as before, now with look of fatherly concern on his face that spoke volumes without saying a word. And yet, it was his attempt hide his honest reaction to the events he witnessed. Deity's end-all hadn't worked, and - on top of that travesty - Taliman's power was far greater than anyone had imagined it would be. He had always been gifted as a boy, but this was a spectacle few ever beheld.::
He still has a chance, albeit a small one...I pray he can pull it off in time.
::The Knight voiced his opinion on the matter in a possibly unfruitful attempt to soothe the nerves of those around him. Kaen upon his shoulder, Deity's adoptive sister. Angellus stupefied at his feet, Deity's former enemy turned apprentice of sorts. Finally Jade, Deity's lover and companion for five years now. Aaron didn't want any of them to slip into the wretched depths of despair, because there was in fact a chance that Deity could win. But - as the boy's father - it was inevitable for him to accept the possibility. This challenge may be too great. This grim vision of the future - foretold by the little redhaired - might have been more than the ripples of potential future events.::

::Interrupted from his plans as usual, the lanky Tonepian ate two hard hits in rapid succession both before he knew where they'd come from and before he could actively put his plan into motion. He broke into a dizzying spin as the kick landed; having committed to retreating already, his intended momentum sent him backwards anyway, though whether he knew this or not couldn't be seen. With a pitiful grunt Deity forced his rotation to a halt and flew away quickly, desperate to get his personal space back as a new trickle of blood joined one already at the side of his mouth.
As he backpedalled, he quick-charged an attack with his left hand and with one heaving swing he unleashed it at his older brother. Dozens upon dozens of volleyball-sized energy attacks and discs, so numerous that they formed a huge cohesive wave that was bound to hit the little monarch at some point. Singularly weak, these attacks were meant only to slow Tali down - Deity only needed a couple seconds to focus, which he begged for as he continued his backward flight.::

"Where are you going~?"
The Emperor smiled as he tilted himself into a horizontal position and took off after Tybron with another violet flash of ki. It'd been so long since he'd stretched his legs, he didn't want to waste his time chasing his prey. Then his blue eye widened at the sight of that massive collection of attacks.
"Oh my," was all he uttered as he dove head first into the maelstrom.
Seemingly unphased at first he zigged and zagged around the attacks, which whizzed harmlessly by him even as he flew through the thickest portion of the mess. But one of the ki balls landed. With a loud boom and a puff of smoke Taliman visibly staggered and slowed, but was not stopped. Then a second ball, then a third. He grunted angrily and continued on. The fourth to collide with him took him right out of flight, and as he rolled backward to regain himself one of the discs caught him in the chest. Slicing right through him, it split the little Emperor into two pieces. Both of which poofed away in wisps of purple smoke.
Goodness gracious.
Just as this obvious doppelganger was destroyed, Taliman clasped his short legs around Tybron's neck with a tight grip, his brother being so kind as to back right up into the grapple. Perhaps in his current state of panic he did not notice the odd shift in Taliman's ki signature after the first few attacks had hit him. Or perhaps he was suffering the effects of Taliman's Empathy, which was feeding the fear he was trying so hard to ignore. Forcefully inducing panic was hard to accomplish, but emphasizing what was already there was a simple task.
Whatever the case was the demon ruler had his stocky legs wound tightly around Tybron's neck.
"No need to panic brother," he said with a devious smile, drumming his arm with his right hand.
Heaving himself sideways, Tali broke into a spin with his upper body acting as the epicenter. Around and around and around he spun, centrifugal force building quickly as Tybron's lanky legs flailed about. As Tali spun he wobbled, tilting his spin so that his axis was horizontal instead of vertical. Without much thought put into how long he should build energy the Emperor finally released his little brother, sending him hurtling back down to the ravaged planet below at some unholy velocity.

::The boy's sudden scream was silenced just as abruptly as it had begun, the shrillness cut off by the impact of his body into the battered desert below. Dust and rock only added to the stifling air around Deity's landing...rather, crashing. From the others' perspectives, nothing happened at this point. Down underneath the floor-swallowing cloud of dust and smoke, the Orinian was trying to get back to his feet. He'd found himself carving a narrow hole into the dirt and stone, needing to pry himself out of it. Still, he wasn't sure what suffered more under the impact: the ground or himself.
After that throw, he felt like he'd been hit by a train - especially his neck, as it'd been contorted oddly just as he was thrown. This isn't really going so well, he thought as he rose to his feet. But he didn't return to the sky. With a subtle cough he rose one arm and curled it around his face in a vain attempt to shield his inhalations from the dirty cloud around him. If he could keep Tali in the air for a few seconds longer, he could possibly swing this battle in his favor.::

Wesley feigned a yawn. How long did Tybron plan to stall? Running away was fine but it wasn't as though the boy had a trap to lead Taliman into. He was as defenseless as a child in a cage full of hungry lions. He was merely postponing the inevitable.
"You bore me."
Without any physical gesture aside from a subtle nod upward, he put his psionic abilities to work. The huge cloud around Tybron was quite suddenly the worst place he could be at the moment. He was surrounded and covered with the Emperor's element. One of them anyway. In this case sand and dirt and stone. Quickly they all latched onto the battered Orinian and squeezed his frail body like a glove that was far too small. The pressure was great enough to constrict his movement; the longer he struggled the more material would glue itself to him. Becoming encased in a suit of rock and dirt, Tybron would be unable to move.
Until Wesley forced him to anyway. Casually uncrossing his arms he extended his injured right hand forward while clenched his left and bracing it behind himself. His forward wrist flicked up drawing his little brother out of the dusty veil, still dressed in his blocky cocoon of stone. With an arrogant smile on his face Taliman's violet aura exploded around his little red form as he sped down to meet Tybron early.
The impact was tremendous, shattering the rock that had glued itself to Tybron as the Emperor's left arm smashed through the boy's head in a monstrous lariat. The tyrant continued on downward using the cloud of falling dirt as a big airbag. It both slowed his momentum and sent him back the way he'd come, allowing him to attack again from the opposite side.
This second blow turned Taliman into a demon missile. He speared himself shoulder-first into his enemy's body, grabbing his brother with both arms and dragging him to the heavens. His wake set alight by the dark flames of his ki, Wesley soared higher and higher into the sky with Tybron over one shoulder. When he had nearly reached the ominous ceiling of smoke that had blanketed the planet, he arched sharply and began a speedy descent. His intent was obvious. When only a few hundred feet remained before a crash landing, Taliman let go, slowed his speed and spun away, leaving his brother to suffer the catastrophic impact alone.

::There was just no end to it. Just when Deity felt he had a moment to breathe (metaphorically speaking of course) his older brother continued the assault and refused to let up. As it was, now the increasingly desperate Tonepian was struggling to free himself from a sea of sand that was condensing against him. At first it felt like he was feeling the effects of enhanced gravity, but then it was as though he was drowning in a sea of thick mud. Finally, now, he couldn't move at all, his legs tied together and his arms pinned against his sides. Similarly to the prior dilemma of being trapped in a stone ball, all of Deity's strength seemed for nought as he pushed and pulled and twisted and jerked and failed to see any results.
Next thing he realized, he was already out of his sandy get-up. The only problem was that he'd actually blacked out for a moment. The clothesline to his face knocked him out and deactivated his ascended state, returning him to his comparatively defenseless normal level of power. Worse, there was an intense pain in his torso - specifically his abdomen - and he was apparently moving. With all the clarity of someone waking from a year-long coma, Deity's fuzzy vision tried to focus on what he realized was Taliman's legs...and a sky that was rapidly moving away. Only a second or two passed before he realized how fast he was going, and which direction he was headed. Tali let go, and the boy screamed suddenly as he fell into the dust cloud.::
W-WAIT!!!
::The impact lasted only the briefest moment - then there was nothing. All was black again.::

It was only a human body crashing into the Earth. Albeit at tremendous speed. The impact could only be so severe, but it was Tybron's recent lack of defenses that helped add onto the damage.
"He can soak up a lot of damage," he scoffed. "For a human."
Indeed a normal human would have been dead already. It was his strange demon-like characteristics that gave him an edge. He could never stand up to the might of the Emperor, but it helped him not die so quickly. But die he would.
"I wonder just how much..."
Time for something monumentally flashy. Tybron had had his moment, it was now Taliman's turn. He opened his arms to his sides and immediately began to build ki within himself. No particular point of focus. His ki transformed and multiplied for attack and soon manifested itself was a brilliant golden aura around him. It wasn't very large and was more of a glow than a flame. Anyone watching too closely would wish they'd brought their shades.
Wesley disappeared behind a light so brilliant one would think the Sun had taken a seat right upon the battlefield. From the edges of this light flew hundreds.. no, thousands. Perhaps millions of miniscule beams of energy. Simple in style these little beams spread away from their maker like energy from a supernova, stretching far in every direction. After traveling a few hundred meters each beam arched and aimed itself downward. Back down toward the planet. Toward Tybron. Anyone nearby the boy would be foolish not to take cover.
All at once these beams slammed into the planet and tore it apart, the radius of destruction stretching for miles around Tybron's position in the desert floor. The salvo lasted nearly twenty seconds and each sounded like an army of bombs going off. The planet shook and swayed, the air buzzed and winced, the smoke twisted and whirled.
When this all came to a close, as the energy of the explosions began to fade, Taliman remained in the air joined only by a new mushroom cloud of smoke and debris. The desert had regained it's warm golden look despite neither the Sun nor sand being visible, a the fire in the sky now illuminated the battleground. Wesley himself appeared somewhat out of breath, having obviously expended quite a bit of energy to pull off such a drastic maneuver. He remained collected, but his ki had shrunken a trivial amount once again. That was his first test of the Supernova technique against a living creature. Time to analyze the results.
His left hand rose and with a single sweeping motion he used his psionic ability to wipe the huge cloud away. Literally dust in the wind, all of the dirt and smoke flew gradually toward the horizon, clearing up the atmosphere at last. This revealed the earth below under the late twilight sky, which was hardly a fragmented shell of it's former self. Massive craters littered the land and overlapped eachother, smoke rose from many of them and literally no sand was visible anywhere. However this torched battleground was not devoid of life. Lying still, alone, in the center of one collection of charred craters was Tybron. Somehow still alive, though his ki was nearly gone.
"Hmp," the monarch grunted as he crossed his arms again and began his descent. The battle was over, he only wanted to hear it from Tybron's burned lips before it ended.

::This time it seemed like it took him ages to wake up. Vision was fuzzy again, and it wasn't clearing up as quickly. Unable to move at first, Deity quickly recalled only seconds ago commenting that he felt as though he'd been hit by a train. I mean, he thought, now I feel like I've been hit by a train. Always save hyperbole until you really need it I guess, he thought as a joke, which at the moment even he didn't find very amusing.
The injured boy checked his own bodily functions as best as he could at the moment. He managed to turn his head, and blink. Not paralyzed, he commented, so that's good. Nothing to see though, just a blur of dark colors. He squeezed both hands into fists, though he couldn't actually feel his left. Looking down, he saw that his shoulder was bleeding badly, and his shirt was gone, revealing new, smaller wounds stretching across one side of his chest and his stomach. After a moment, he managed to lift both knees, proving that in fact nothing important had been severed.
He couldn't feel Taliman's location and really wasn't even sure if he was still alive. Then again, he thought, I dunno if I've been close enough to death to say. Deity didn't imagine he'd feel like roadkill if he was dead, so that was a comfort. Well, not really. He still felt like roadkill.
The thought left his mind as finally his scarlet vision regained its clarity, and he strained to sit up. His shirt was in fact blown away entirely, and he sported a new gash in his left shoulder that had coated the entire arm with a thick, wet layer of blood. Both gloves were gone and the remains of his shirt hanged over his belt, which remarkably had survived alongside his boots whatever it was he'd mercifully had the luxury of sleeping through.
Now, finally, Deity looked up and saw Taliman flying downward. He voiced a faint, agonizing sigh as he positioned his wieght onto his right side and fought to stand. There goes Plan B, he concluded. If only I'd known he was holding back so much before...now, there's only...
Deity gritted his teeth, left eye blinking excessively to keep a sudden, slow stream of blood out of the way. He wasn't able to match his brother, and didn't have enough time for the alternative. Now he only had his last card to play, Plan C. The quiet boy cupped his bleeding shoulder with his hand as he reached his feet, praying with all he had that that card would win the game for him.::

"Bloody hell, are you all right? Tybron, I think you need a doctor."
The Emperor spoke with a chortle as his feet connected softly with the charred ground a few meters from the his defeated enemy. He'd used about a sixth of his energy on that one attack. In all actuality it wasn't a huge surprise that Tybron survived it. Indvidually none of the beams were very powerful. Their sheer number provided the force of the attack and while flashy and loud the explosions weren't very large. The purpose of the attack was to cause damage over such a wide area that the target could not escape. Had each beam struck then yes, the boy would be dead as a doornail.
"I hope those demon eyes of yours still work," Taliman said mockingly. "I want you to see the end coming."
It was clear to any still nearby that he was just taunting Tybron. Adding insult to injury. The battle was won, and he wanted to savor it a moment more before bringing the war finally to a close.

::Deity coughed with a painful sounding harshness, spitting up a little blood that dribbled down past his already bruised chin. He looked like hell, and felt similarly. But he still had this last gamble. One more move to play - it was his last resort for a reason, the same reason he didn't use it already. If he failed, he would die. Taliman's words faded into a series of muffled, indiscernible words as Deity focused what he had left toward his final wind. Once he was started there was no going back - using this moment to reflect, he was thankful that his whole body still worked. Pain would be no problem but if something was severed or missing he was screwed beyond comprehension.
The boy released his shoulder, forced his aching hands into fists. He parted his feet by a yard or so and braced his body, which was followed by a sharp whimper. It hurt to put any tension on his muscles, but it would only last for a second. That second ended, and Deity's ki exploded with a distinct and drastic change. For one, he felt...darker. It was a familiar darkness, for some. Secondly, it multiplied several times over. The suddenness of the expansion of energy thrusted itself angrily against the demon tyrant nearby with all the force of a hundred hurricanes. The reason behind this was seen as a black and bloody red aura flaring up around him, violent bolts of energy breaking off and tearing into the ground at his feet. Deity's whole body tensed further - each muscle tightened - his stature straightened - his hair stood on end and his face changed as his eyes began to glow so brightly they masked his pupils totally.
Though the damage he had sustained and the energy he'd used had indeed taken a toll on the result, Level 5 still increased the Orinian's power so much that it rivalled Taliman's once again. If one knew no better they might say he surpassed his demonic brother. The bloodied but newly revived Deity hesitated only long enough to pucker his lips and released a long-held breath of air. The ground exploded at his feet as he disappeared in a flash of crimson, a mighty right punch already rearranging Tali's complexion.
Faster and stupendously more powerful than before, Deity showed no relent in following the hook with a huge left uppercut to the abdomen, the heavy blow forcing Tali high enough to kick his scrawny legs off the ground. Go in fast and strong, the boy repeated in his mind as he prepped his next attack. Let up, and it's over.::

The explosive force of Tybron's power-up left the elder brother awestricken.
"Wh-what is that??!!!," he exclaimed with obvious shock, leaning into the wind in order to stay on his feet. His blue eye squinted under the intensity behind one hand, which temporarily blinded him to the danger to come.
Before he could utter another word his head was spun right off his shoulders with what was probably a punch. He hadn't even seen the approach, it was too fast. His whole body rocked to one side, unable to absorb the impact. A second impact just as intense lifted him from the floor stomach-first, his little frame doubling painfully over Tybron's punch. What the hell's happening???

::The angry-spirited Deity shouted a defiant battlecry as he pulled back his left fist and pivoted clockwise, smashing his right elbow backward into Taliman's extended forehead. The blow was aimed perfectly, directing the flow of energy straight through the emperor's body and plowing him backward like an a** first torpedo. As he skidded across the battlefield, Deity slapped his bloody left palm into the rock at his feet and dropped into a crouch at the end of his turn. His fierce red eyes glowed like fire as they narrowed on his prey.
The rush of devil energy and adrenaline had forged him into a weapon that felt no pain. He wasn't as powerful as he could've been had he activated Level 5 while still fresh, but anyone could see he was still a walking powerhouse. Errh, flying powerhouse. Now Deity was airborne, having kicked off after Taliman without giving him any room to breathe. He had to deal as much damage as possible as quickly as he was capable.::

"Ghhhrrrraaaaa!!!!"
The Emperor growled unintelligibly after the third blow and spun himself backward. He kicked away from the ground to send his momentum higher to avoid any undue damage from hitting the side of some random crater wall. With better control of his own flight now he continued in a retreat. Shockingly Tybron was already on top of him giving chase. He hastily threw together five Firebombs with his left hand above his head and flung them at once at his pursuing enemy. Each one was a flame-enhanced ki ball that as one would imagine generated far more heat than a typical energy attack. Tybron might dodge them but doing so would slow his chase speed, allowing for a more potent counterattack.

::Deity had none of it. Two of the fireballs were on trajectories intersecting his, and as they neared him they went off. A huge pillar of fiery smoke rose from the blast, but neither it nor the other three had any say against the adrenaline-rushed Tonepian's pursuit. With hardly a flinch he flew right through the attacks and closed in on Taliman, electrically-inclined ki energy crackling in his wake. Every exertion, each attack absorbed, eveyrthing he did would worsen his physical condition once he reverted to his normal state. Which was why he had to finish this at once.::
