In the club proper, the Deity-Tali fight is still going on. I think it's nearing its end. Outside, Red and Epithany are dealing with the immediate backlash of this event.

<<::too lazy to use his other account::>>

::The cataclysmic forces at work in the distance had threatened the well being of the Knight's small group of spectators, so he had indeed utilized a barrier of psionic energy to protect those around him. Jade, Angellus, the stocky dark one nearby and - of course - Kaen and himself; all of them were quite suddenly encased within a large transparent sphere, keeping the elements at bay. The wall of this barrier might have reminded one of the inside of a fishbowl, as the image one saw would be warped slightly as they peered out.

Sir Aaron himself admitted only the smallest hint of effort taken as he braced himself, likely as a means to ensure that his barrier itself wasn't plowed away by the biproducts of the battle. He raised one hand and resituated Kaen on his shoulder to make sure the blast hadn't shaken her up too much. With this he looked up from Jade - whose back he still cradled with one of his huge hands - to return his attention to the duel that his two sons were playing out. He felt it pertinent to offer his take on the matter.::

He wouldn't intentionally fire on the Earth...I'm not certain what he's plotting.

"What are you doing..?"

Damn right he wouldn't fall for it. Wesley stood (well sort of) quietly in the sky as he watched Tybron gather his ki. The Crimson Eraser? Really? That attack would wipe out the Earth without even noticing it along the way. The prospect of Tybron intentionally aiming for it was a complete impossibility. No reason for concern. Perhaps he was baiting Taliman to go stop him.

"You won't do it," he said confidently. "You wouldn't fire that at me from up there."

The smug little Emperor grinned as he hunched over, cupped his palms to his left hip. His fingers curled as they formed a clam shape and like Tybron began to gather ki into an imminent attack.

"I however will fire this from down here."

The Kamehameha wasn't as powerful as Tybron's attack but it charged faster. This wasn't going to be a clash of epic proportions anyway, so it didn't need to be powerful enough to combat a feint. At this range Taliman doubted even his speedy brother's ability to dodge a fully charged Kamehameha, and any attempt to move in closer would be met with a blue wave of death and pain to the face. So now it was Tybron's turn again. Wesley quickly built the charge of his Kamehameha to maximum, the muscles of his hands tensing as he prepared the attack to fire. What move would the boy make?

::The one you can't see. Deity's use of Shunkido was rather expected here. Taliman likely suspected it would be used so that Deity could move closer before firing. However, this would be a bit silly - as powerful as it was, Taliman's Kamehameha would still catch him before he could loose the Eraser as long as he was anywhere within range.

Which is why it's important to note that a Kamehameha can't be fired from one's back.

Deity would just vanish, leaving a faint wisp of his ki up in the sky, just as Taliman's technique reached critical mass. It was ready to fire and the target was gone. Of course, it was Shunkido - by the time he was gone, Deity had already reappeared. So where was he? The blast of air and the shimmering light gleaming from behind and below Taliman was the sudden, somehow unexpected answer. Just as the ruler of Orion stated, an attack of this size and type - fully charged - was far too fast to avoid even from a few hundred meters away.

The immensity of the Crimson Eraser flew so quickly and brightly into the sky that it didn't even seem to move as it should. Instead it looked as though the sky had ripped open, a flashing beam of light in its place with a force so powerful that the sound rattled the bones of any who witnessed, the planet beneath straining to remain stable. All of the falling dust and debris on the battlefield was blasted away in the wake of the maneuver - the same could be said of anyone still standing that hadn't braced themselves.

Deity was still a considerable distance in the air, his entire body surrounded by the bloody red ki energy of his devil self, which was used to fuel this monster. Both arms were aimed up at the sky, fingers splayed as he, too, strained to keep his attack steady. Though similar in form, the Eraser was unlike the Kamehameha, which multiplied the existing energy within a fighter. This was Deity's latent devil ki, which was being fed to him quickly enough to be useful, but slowly enough to not endanger himself or his friends. Still, it was a powerful, hostile energy that he was channeling through himself, and it was hard to control.

Thankfully, Tali's chances of avoiding this were slim, and even the fox would be lucky to limp away from it.::

D-dammit!!!!!

There was no time to move. No time to turn and throw the Kamehameha. Even if he did, he would lose. The Eraser was mightier and he wouldn't have the ground needed to push anything else into it before being blasted into the heavens. What did he have time to do?

Well first he aborted his attack. If he was stricken before unleashing it he would lose the ki he put into it. Second, he did the only thing he had the time and wherewithal to do. He turned to face and intercept the monstrous energy weapon. Just as the scarlet wave was breaking right into his personal space, the Emperor thrust forth his right hand with his left curled around the wrist.

KRAK

The sound was like lightning, the flash of light itself even more intense. Taliman had been replaced in the air by a shining starburst of sorts as the Eraser streamed into and sprayed off of him, the residual energy masking his tiny frame. Beams of light shattering around his fingertips he gritted his teeth, fangs gleaming as he used all of his might to hold his ground, the muscles in both arms throbbing in pain. He wasn't trying to deflect it. Anyone trying that would just be killed, the attack was too huge and too powerful. Wesley's whole body shook, his demonic structure breaking under the pressure. No, he was trying something a little riskier. But it his choices had been limited.

"Rrrrrraaaaauuuugghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!"

GWOOOMMM

With a defiant scream from Taliman and without warning the red wave collapsed on itself. The massive attack exploded right where it was without any deflection or continuation. The explosion would be massive, crashing down into the desert and quite literally eating up the entire sky around it. It would make a fantastic satellite image, this explosive holocaust larger than a major city. Nobody present would escape the wrath of the tremendous blast. Given their distance they all likely had at least a second before the actual force hit them. However all of these people would notice that the fireball traveled predominantly in the opposite direction intended. Tybron was down below firing the attack diagonally up. The explosion looked as though it had hit an impenetrable wall and was flowing upward in the only possible direction: away from Taliman.

The Orinian Emperor, as of yet, wasn't seen amongst the smoke and dying fire.

<<"Gwoom." That's the sound of a huge explosion from now on.>>

The ether had quaked with the titanic show of force, its vibrations ringing deep within the void of space. Within the darkness of the Warp a conciousness stirred; woken from its long slumber.

Statis had greatly reduced its own power, albeit temporarily. It needed to feed. But to move beyond the shadow of the Warp while so incapacitated was - needless to say - unwise.

That surge of energy... what was it? Such sun-crushing strength. The source echoed like a splinter in it's collective minds, but it could not pinpoint the location.

It would rest... for now. It would not be long before the latent energies empowered it enough to once again take physical form.
