Keno arrived at his own casual, careless pace, as though it were his idea to show up and not an inclination inspired by his friend's invitation. Almost counter to Tama's nature, Keno was not in tune with nature. He wasn't in tune with much of anything actually. Not really.
How many clearings existed in the woods around the Orion? How many lakes? It wasn't a real concern to him; more a passing thought really. Few people just met in the woods. He preferred the density of trees over the open space of clearings. Oh well.
"You seem haunted by something," he said in greeting to his Tama's back, appearing dwarfed next to the black beast of a man. He was again in attire similar to what he had worn the last time Tama had seen him. The pants may have been the same pair, but the shirt was definitely new, as was the mask pulled up over his nose. Didn't take much to get a new shirt or a mask. He always kept extras and in the worst case scenario, he still had scarves.

::Finally, the day had come. Just less than a week had passed since KenoTao's scuffle with the child from Unit 97, Mani. That very day, Jade, Deity and his father started their morning with a discussion. He'd gotten himself into a bit of a mess, and now it was up to them to figure out how he'd get himself back out of it. After having done the best with what little they had to work with - in both time and options - the only thing left to do now was wait.
The week was over - and some week it had been. The Orinian of Club Orion knew that running away was not an option...it never really had been an option. His brother would die before dishonoring the challenge issued him; by that same token, everything Deity held dear would be stripped from him before he backed out of the duel. The fight was going to happen, even if Taliman had demolished the universe and the two of them had to battle upon its ruins. Well that would suck, the boy figured. Since he wouldn't be opting out anytime soon, Deity chose to spend his week wisely.
The day after the incident with Mani, he spent a day out with his father as well as his beloved, Jade. Along with them came the little girl, Kaen, who was still calling him brother. He still had no recollection of the girl, so it was a great oppurtunity to learn more of their past and get to know her better, as well as help quell any worries on her part about the upcoming battle - in the latter capacity he was a pathetic failure, but some ice cream seemed to lift her spirits a little.
The next three days, Deity left the planet to begin his training. With supplies from Orion and Angel's shuttle to borrow, he decided it best to test himself in private. And test himself he did. Driven to the brink and back, he pushed himself harder and harder each day. He knew now that he was striving for either the greatest battle of his life, or the last. There wouldn't be a way to skip out or get by with only wounded pride and a few injuries. Deity would either kill Taliman, or be killed. That thought drove him faster, pushed him further, motivated him. He had something to live for, and it was worth putting that very life on the line and going against his own moral fiber to hold onto.
At the end of those three days, the boy returned to Earth in desperate need of rest. The next day, that's pretty much all he did. For some fourteen hours he just slept. For the remainder of that night and for the entire next day, he stayed with Jade. They visited Orion together, had dinner, saw a play. It nearly came up a few times in idle conversation, but Deity didn't want to talk about what would happen the next day. "We'll have the day after tomorrow, Love," he reminded her. He didn't want to even suggest that there was something they wouldn't be able to tell eachother. This won't be our last day together, he kept reminding himself. I'm not going to die now. I'm going to win.
For once, Deity was truly filled with confidence - he had no nagging doubts anymore. He had every reason not to; at that moment he was undoubtedly in the very best shape of his life. If there was ever a battle in which he could do no better than what was witnessed, it would be this one. In this knowledge he was more sure of himself than ever. What he wasn't sure of, though, was whether that would work for him or against him...
Down he dropped, sailing through the crisp air as he fell, only a few feet away from the wall of his tower. His long coattails and red bandana flapped about above his head as he descended, his dark attire appearing as a swift shadow streaking down across the side of the stone wall, glowing golden in the sun that was soon to begin its daily descent from the sky. The boy's top was a black sports vest with wider shoulders, somewhat longer sleeves; the collar was in the shape of a "v". It was thicker than the typical style - knowing Deity, it was likely made to withstand the Apocalypse.
Underneath was a clingy red t-shirt, the collar fitted to his neck just above the collarbone. The combination was to his knowledge similar to a style of gi that a legendary warrior of the past once wore - perhaps wearing something similar, albeit it with an inverse color scheme, would give him a lucky edge. Black jeans typical of his wardrobe were held up with a sturdy leather belt and collecting in wrinkles over his likewise thick leather boots. Under the hems of his sleeves he wore fingerless leather gloves - underneath them he had applied black sports tape.
With a landing that would have broken the legs of any normal human, the quiet Orinian merely bent his knees to absorb the impact with the frozen earth beneath him. As he stood back to his full height, his shoulders jumped in an exaggerated shrug to straighten out his dishevelled jacket. It'd been a few hours now that he'd waited at the rooftop. His foggy white glasses seemed to gaze out at nothing in particular as he passed a slow glance from left to right. Still no sign of Taliman. There was a pair of signatures off to the North somewhere - neither were the emperor. He was going to show, wasn't he? An Orinian week is the same as an Earth week, he thought, there's no way he could've confused which day to come back.
A soft sigh, sending a little puff of steam into the air. He'll be here, he reassured himself, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his coat. If Tali took his time any further, the endeavor might suddenly seem as unappealing as it was when the boy first picked this fight.::

There were a lot of things Kenta wished he inherited or at least learned from his father. How to manipulate air would have been a nice start, as would the seemingly inhuman drive to fight which reminded him more of a Saiya-jin than a human, the regenerative factor that healed most wounds in about wound no matter how severe, and where and how to find the Mineral. Aeromancy was specifically on the boy's mind as he traveled through the woods. Naturally, he wasn't as susceptible to the cold as humans, but Northern Canada was generally too cold for normal humans.
He had dressed for the part well enough. A medium weight black jacket hung off of his shoulders, but remained unbuttoned and revealed a thick, soft sweater two shades darker than primary blue, picked out by Chris, which hugged his torso with a collar that rose halfway up his neck. Where his sweater ended - the jacket continued for another inch - his jeans began, a black pair of denim that were baggy hung off of his hips and fell to his ankle. He was smart enough to wear a heavy pair of boots that were designed to be practical and not stylish, though he generally took care of all of his clothes. The black boots, which did not insult the rest of his attire, crunched in the snow under his weight and had little mercy for whatever they happened to land on.
Even though he wore no gloves, his right hand was in his pants pocket and his left held a softer, more pleasant hand belonging to someone else. Pocketing that hand wasn't a priority because he didn't notice how it was. His silver tail swayed happily whenever he turned back to look at Chris, even though he knew she was still there, as though she just had that effect on men - and to a degree she did insofar as he knew. Something about the sight of her today made his ears dance, which made his dark hair bounce in response and he couldn't stop smiling even if he wanted to. Usually that's the way it was between them unless one of them was unhappy, but they never stayed that way for too long. Looking at the two of them, one wouldn't think that the boy's father-to-be had paid an unexpected and unpleasant visit recently.
As the two came out of the woods, the club in sight, Kenta paused as he noticed Deity ahead of them. He might have noticed earlier had he thought it necessary to pick out nearby energy signatures, but that would have also tipped him off to KenoTao's location, and it was simply better that he had not. Though Kenta did not know who he would see how often in this particular time, he couldn't honestly recall the last time he met his Ba-chan's boyfriend. That meant he had only met him once very briefly or not at all, but from what he knew, that wasn't particularly surprising, and it wasn't like he came around more often than not anyway, so this was a pleasant surprise if nothing else and his smile, which changed a little, said as much.
"Come on," he said to Chris cheerfully, guiding her toward a man he should call Ji-san but didn't. He squeezed her hand lovingly and drew her shoulder to shoulder with him, fingers interlocked confidently.

{{Time Warp? Keno and Sama meet a day or two after the incident around the time Deity is landing I guess.}} "I am always haunted old friend you should know that, what disturbs me now is what occured not too long ago. It seems your frriends did not take my invitation, one can only figure as much."
Sama was in full combat gear ready to go, he had his boots, his worn prison pants, a belt, the shackles around his neck and wrists and the torn shredded hood that wrapped around his face and concealed his features with a thick shadow. He was hunched over the fire he had built with his hands around the stick that was stuck through the body of a large fish.
"Your display was impressive but next time try to trigger it sooner you almost had me worried."
He said this sentence with a hint of sarcasm but there was an undertone of concern as well not only for keno's safe being but of the others around him, Sama was unsure if this change would occur again in Keno and if he might lash out at the wrong people while in this state. Putting those thoughts and days aside in his memories he moved onto the business at hand. From his pocket he would remove a small letter that was wrapped in a tight little pouch, meant for holding scrolls and rolls of parchment. He tossed the leather case to Keno as he cooked his fish.
"Inside is a letter form an old friend of mine Howard Dreason, an old follower of The Temple of Ashatar. It is a temple or should I say ancient ruin where the study of powers was conducted, universal as well as small, channeling the forces of life and death, creation and destruction. Word has it that they have discovered something and he will be stopping by in a month. I ask you to join me, though I do not really condone your search for universal power this temple may have some old text or scriptures that may aid you on your search and if anything provide you with a more detailed idea of where too look."

"Oh?" Keno said indifferently, folding his arms with an impassive shrug. "I wouldn't worry if I were you. That fight went exactly the way I wanted to...almost. The kid should have died."
Keno didn't seem to be about to elaborate in any form or fashion. Like as not he wouldn't say anything to anyone about whatever it was that changed his mind then. It was easier to listen to Tama and respond to whatever it was he wanted Keno for. The feline didn't get invited to do...anything, really. No one he thought might need him truly did, so it was interesting that someone he thought didn't might actually enjoy his company.
He didn't mention that though.
He read the letter as Tama explained, thinking the idea over. Clearly this was in reference to their last talk, but Keno wasn't sure if one temple could truly hold the answers he was looking for. It was a start though, he considered, and if nothing else he could spend the time catching up with Tama.
"I'll think on it," he answered, clearly not upset with this information. He was actually rather impressed and a bit touched. Nothing on his face said anything about it. "If nothing else, it'll be fun."

The beast rose slowly with the remains of his breakfest in hand, stretching his back as he bent backwards and a loud popped vibrated from his lower spine. He always got a little stiff when sleeping the wrong way on a rock but hey that was the life of Sama.
"This is true the Temple is actually an impressive sight, a marvel of mankind's abilitly to create it is over 700,000 sqaure feet of religious grounds, under ground. It is built in an old cavern where the mountain winds rush through to get to the other side so it is really unique. From the letter a dig team is already there and and Howard will be here in one months time so we won't be too far behind. Lucky for us I am the only living being with a clue of how the Temple is laid out and it is all up here."
His right index finger tapped his skull as he shot a smirk at Kenotao. Little did Keno know about Howard and how the Military commander was, the man would only take Sama and keep even that under wraps but Sama was bent on helping his friend in his search and the fact that only he knew the secrets and many of the hidden passages in the temple would be his bargaining chip to get Keno to tag along. That and the fact that Sama could snap the mortals spine with out a second thought, there was many men Sama would kill for money, but this one he would gladly kill for free.
"So until then I think we have somewhere else we need too be? I picked up on Deity's smell and Ki signeture, he is at the Club but so far nothing on Tali with in 100 square miles."

“It is time my old friend…”
With that Samayou rose to his full height and glanced down at Kenotao, it was clear that over time the tiger had stayed the same size and Sama had grown. Bigger faster and stronger, more fierce then any hurricane or wrath of any god. He turned around slowly as the chaos around him started, energy sparking at his finger tips as he estimated the distance between him and CO…a few miles maybe. This spark of energy served two purposes, one it made clear to Deity who was causing it since Sama had a unique chaotic signature , and secondly it would allow him to change his clothes in mid flight.
Unlike the others here at CO Sama could not fly…but he could sure as hell jump.
His first step was regular but his second step was a more powerful stride. His energy level would rise in a violent spark as he lunged another step, swinging his shoulder into it as the clothing around him started to disintegrate into dust. His final step was another massive lunge but when his foott touched the ground the snow was blasted away into a cloud of white fluff! The air heated abruptly and the violent spike in energy turned the grass below him to a charred black. Sama was blasted forward off the ground and rapidly thrust like a ball out of a catapult towards CO! His body flailing through the air as his trajectory brought him closer and closer to his destination, the garments around him all but gone as new ones took their place.
Firm combat boots formed around his feet as a skin tight sleeveless shirt intertwined around his failing upper body. Baggy military cargo pants stitched around his waist and legs as his face became shrouded by a very large scarf that got strapped down around his face by chains that twisted around his skull. His eyes glowing a pale white from under it all as he now flew through the air like a black spec. Whizzing in the sky like a bullet towards the CO tower but not directly at it.
He would miss the tower by two feet, but before he passed by it his right hand would reach out. Scraping across the side as his claws dug in and he was ripped to a stop. His tight grip changing his momentum as he clung to the tower tightly with iron fingers, dragging himself down to about half way where his feet finally clamped to the side and like a monkey he hanged there looking down at Deity with a smile on his face.
“Morning……”

< Honestly, I don't mean to sound whiney, but I just don't feel like a part of the Shadows family. I've always just kinda floated around, and I've thought about quitting Gaia altogether because I've found myself not doing much of anything.
I've obviously changed my mind since I'm gonna start fiddling with some ideas for a new character and storyline. Dunno. Just figured I'd get it out in the open.>>
