Wesley laughed, though it was clearly a mockery and not genuine. He had not calmed much from his previous state, but allowed his little brother to keep the room he created with his retreat. A more confident tone burst through as he spoke with a throatier voice than before, taking a glimpse around the room to better address those watching. He was calling Tybron on both his lack of self control and his poor choice of alias.

"Who knew the great and tranquil Deity harbored such revulsion?? For his brother no less!"

::Any catching Deity's face would obviously see that he felt insulted. The instant "brother" left Taliman's lips, the boy jumped a bit and brought his glaring red eyes again to the reheaded emperor, though his head remained to the side. His passing glance remained hidden - he seemed to be struggling to tune out his brother's negativity while in fact trying to tame his own. Failing desperately, as anyone could see. Despite the fact that they were indeed half siblings, the Tonepian had no love for Taliman, and knew that Taliman had nothing but hate for him.

He answered with a bitter taste in his mouth, likely the most hateful thing he'd said in centuries.::

"Where did your boyfriend learn to talk so much trash from?" Keno inquired teasingly but curiously within Jade's befuddled mind. "Surely Sir Aaron didn't teach him that." Aside from punching a giant brick wall of a Saiya-jin with about as much power as it would take to blow a chunk of Earth off of itself, watching this battle of words was about as much fun as Keno had had in a long time. Interesting was the fact that Deity, who would usually be considered the calm and collected one, wasn't showing much calm or collection right about now.

"Do you really think he only intended to lecture Tali? Part of me thinks that he's not even trying. Do you think he wants to lose? Wants to get mad? Wants to blow some stuff up and pretend it's justice? We're not even talking about the assault on User anymore."

Yes he was being critical, and about as much an a** as he could be. More than likely Jade wouldn't be too happy the next time she saw him. Still, he didn't seem to be inclined to care about such things at the moment. Jade could probably imagine the look of mischief he was wearing right now, as though at any moment, he might just drop in and ensure chaos was shared by all.

"But why do that when they are doing such a good job of it themselves." He sounded as though he were smiling, and he was clearly amused. Suddenly, his voice, though still mocking, asked Jade a serious question. "Even if Tali throws the first punch, you know it would be Deity's fault. If he loses, do you think you could justify defending him against the consequences of his own actions?"

The Emperor seemed more amused than angered now. With each exchange between the two Orinians, Tybron was growing steadily furious. Taliman for once seemed to have an easier control of his temper, which was told in volumes by the subtle grin on his face. Then again it could simply be the fact that he was getting under Tybron's skin that pleased him. Nothing would bring Wesley more joy than pushing his weakling little brother over the edge.

"He's disowning me now," he laughed. "If you hate me so much, do something about it. Or would you prefer to stand quietly, sulking in the corner and crying about that too?"

::While his lifes trials in particular would not be of concern to Tali, the emotions that Deity experienced when enduring them would be. The fact that now his older brother was ridiculing him - so drastically understating the strain on his conscience over the centuries - had Deity at the brink. He turned away. He took his eyes off of Tali and toward the little girl and his beloved. But he did not see them. Just focusing on anything in the room seemed to ache. The boy closed his eyes and tried to force the negative thoughts back out of his mind before they manifested for everyone to hear, before he said something he couldn't take back.::

...drop dead, Tali.

His smile fading, Wesley's newfound dim expression moved in closer as he leaned up to Tybron without taking a step. He tilted his small, sturdy frame forward so that his coward of a brother could better hear his equally firm words.

"Make me, ponce."

::That really was it. Deity had had enough of his brother's wisecracks, and couldn't stop himself. A sudden crimson glow erupted from behind his glasses as his anger rose, and his power spiked as he lost ahold of its suppression for the briefest of moments. He shouted so quickly he nearly cut Tali off.::

Fine.

::He snapped his head back front and center, ensuring that Tali would make no mistake that Deity was giving him his complete focus. His shoulders stiffened as he breathed a sharp intake of air through gritted teeth. He was being kicked to a rage and really couldn't even pinpoint why. The quiet Orinian was lost in a cloud of fury and at least for the moment wasn't even trying to find a guiding light to escape. He glared down at Tali from only inches away, every muscle in his body tense.

A quiet and subtle yet palpable wrath was clear in his voice; his quiet voice - no longer soft and caring, but firm and hateful. With his calm tone, he sounded angrier than he ever could if he were to yell at his arrogant brother.::

One week....be here in one week...we can finish this then.

In all honesty, Wesley looked surprised, even flinching when Tybron shouted the way he did. His eye widened a bit and he leaned away. It couldn't be mistaken that he wanted to fight Tybron. For the past five years it was generally known to all that he would be all the happier if Tybron were dead. It wasn't even a dream however that the silly nit would openly challenge him to a duel.

Hence, surprise.

"Well, well," he said with a breathy chuckle. "...I accept."

The Emperor smirked up at Tybron, wondering if even that wimp knew what he had just done. He raised his bottle and again took a pull. It tasted so good just then.

"Goodness. That backbone has you standing straighter already," he joked.

He laughed as the final words left his mouth, and he took a step away pivoting on that foot to turn and leave. In the midst of his turn, he caught another glimpse of that brat. If what she spoke of was true, this made everything that much better. She foresaw Tybron's death at Taliman's hands, came to warn him. Here it was, and she got a front row seat to the spectacle that sparked the inevitable. She was helpless to stop anything.

"Well done~"

His free hand rose to tip the brim of his fedora to the kid as he made his exit, Tali's silent command pulling the doors open as he passed and in turn closing them once he had departed.

There was likely to be a brief silence in the main room for a moment after Tali left the club. To Keno's recollection, no one had ever seen Deity mad like that. Sure he had been upset, thrown into a rage, provoked into a manic homicidal state, etc., but never was the Deity half of the Fierce Deity mad. No doubt people would be stunned, and while so a brief silence would saturate the club.

Well, for all except Jade who was so unfortunate as to have Keno's incessant giggling ringing between her ears. At least it started as a giggle. It ended up becoming a chuckle, but broke almost immediately into pure hysteric laughter. Why on Earth he would be so entertained by this made almost sense, but then again he wasn't known for his consistency when it came to making sense.

"And to think," he tried to begin as he sounded as though he were struggling for air, likely disturbing the thoughts of the one person who could hear him. "And to...to th-pfbwahahahahahaha!" Truly this were irritating. At least to him it would be, which was why he was doing it, although truth be told, he had no idea things would turn out this way.

"Imagine, Tali actually came here just to have a drink. A drink!!" More laughter, half sincere half generated to emphasize the ridiculousness of the situation. "He actually, for once wasn't trying to start any trouble. And your boyfriend," he said in mock accusation, "gets all wound up for no reason, blaming Tali for something that, for once, wasn't his fault, and is now scheduled to duel in a week." At this point Keno succumbed to another giggle fit, which he imagined very well might throw Jade over the edge of her own peace of mind.

"Amazing! Truly amazing. To think that Deity could actually instigate a fight unprovoked. Do you know what this means?" Naturally for dramatic effect he didn't answer right away, but tortured Jade with more expressions of his amusement. One would be hard pressed to think he wasn't wiping away tears of joy from his eyes.

Suddenly the laughter stopped, although not without one of those coughing fits that usually follows such madness and a general clearing of the throat to ensure that one articulates his thoughts clearly.

"Well regardless of what you think it means, I'm not telling. I'd recommend you talk Deity out of this, but I doubt Tali would sit for that. It was after all, your boyfriend's idea to throw his life and a healthy chunk of his reputation away." And with that, he was pretty much gone, which meant he was no longer in Jade's head to any event. Whether she would be aware of this right away or not really didn't matter because he was being at least half serious with his last comment and did not escape her mind with any intent of being any more an a** than he had been for the past few minutes or so. He just wanted to leave her to savor the last seven days she might have with Deity before things took a sour turn.

{{Deity if you don’t mind I want to get in on this a litt.e.^^}}

Tamashii watched and heard everything that was said and for a moment he felt he should intervene but family matters where not his place. Now when Deity challenged Tali now that was something Tamashii found interesting, the younger brother was finally standing up to what he knew was wrong but Tamashii could not blame Taliman for doing what came…natural. The beastly devil rose from his chair as if a king stands from his throne and lumbered over to deity, standing behind him and off to the side as he placed his hand on his left shoulder and patted it gently. His voice deep like the rumbling of a mountain as the nature loving monster spoke for the first time in awhile.

“Very good Deity…very good…..this should be an interesting settlement of issues and you have my support.”

The large Devil smiled as his hand slipped back into his pocket and once again his mood shifted like the ocean currents, returning to his normal neutral self that seemed only to care for himself.

“So……when do you start training if at all?”

"WILL YOU SHUT UP, KENO?!"

The girls voice echoed throughout the silence that hung in the central room. The tigers incessant taunting and goading and laughing had finally pushed her beyond her normal breaking point. Usually, Jade could handle a great deal of stress people give her, but Keno, plus the argument between Deity and Taliman, brought out a side of her rarely seen.

When she received no answer but the silence of her own mind, there was a look of slight satisfaction crossing her countenance. Then she turned her attentions to the remaining brother. Her green eyes narrowed before stepping purposefully forward, her orbs shifting to Tamashi before focusing back on her love. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn, and while Jade was not scorn, she was royally pissed.

The Saiya-jin narrowed the gap between her and Deity, Kaen, and Tama in three swift steps. Her right hand lifted, clenched into a partial fist and aimed for Deity. It pounded on his left shoulder full-force, and had she completely clenched it, it would have hurt even the Tonepian. Rather, the force would likely hurt little, and send him more off balance than anything.

"Do you even know what you've just done?! You spend years avoiding conflict with Tali, and then you come out and challenge him to a duel?!"

::For a few moments there was no sound. Heavy breathing and a heartbeat like that of a colossal beast rung incessantly in his ears. His ki strength was still a little higher than he usually kept it, but the red glow had faded from his eyes. Only a few seconds after Taliman left - only an instant after the emperor's power left the planet - did it hit home. The anger faded steadily, giving way to a dawning horror. What have I just done? Had Deity gone completely insane? Well, yes he had, temporarily though it was. He didn't even have a prayer. Not against Taliman. The reason Tali hired a bodyguard as brutish as Cado was because he was tired of proving himself better than all of his opposers. Wesley originally attained the throne through force. Deity was as good as dead.

His stiffened posture seemed to melt as the realization hit him and his lax jaw hanged in the air, as though he'd lost the ability to hold it up. With sunken shoulders he just stared at the doors in disbelief, thinki-- oh ******** hell, who is that??

Deity jumped with a start as someone touched his shoulder, jolting him out of his thoughts that he'd so easily fallen prisoner to yet again. Some beast of a man - if that was a man - was standing next to him. He had a kind spirit to him, which was clear right away, despite his rough exterior. Heart of a kitten in the body of a bear, so to speak. Whatever the case, he knew Deity by name. Uhhh. Two people in one day, he thought. Not wanting to spread as much embarrassment as he possibly could, this time the boy refrained from remarking on the fact that he didn't know who this person was. Things were confusing enough. He just went with it, as one would say.::

Uhm....thanks...

::Whoever this person was, the quiet Orinian couldn't be sure they were any more sane than he was, especially if they were supportive of spontaneous assisted suicide. That, or they just knew all of bupkis about Taliman. The big man through no surprise seemed to have a fighter's mind, as he quickly implied that training would need to be done. At the moment that seemed rather pointless. Deity could double himself in ability and still get beaten to death with his own bloody limbs. ::

Not really sure....yet...

::Deity made his attempt to respond - the instant he began to speak, he saw Jade coming for him. His words trailed off until she raised her fist, where he flinched and tucked his arms in to better receive it. He almost fell over, yelping painfully in response. He grabbed at his arm and took a step away from the three people invading his personal bubble, suddenly realizing they were all breathing his air at once. He didn't speak further, even after she was finished. He just rubbed lightly at his shoulder, despite not actually being hurt by it. He knew what he'd done was stupid, and couldn't rightly explain it himself. He didn't respond, an expression coated with shame ducking down and away to avoid locking eyes with anyone.::

In the depths of his calculating mind Tamashii was getting the sense that deity was feeling two things, fear and confusion. That and his ability to detect emotional wave was sparking with those exact feelings. For a brief moment he almost felt insulted that, One Deity would regret making the biggest mistake he will ever make and two, not knowing who Tama was.

Tamashii did not blame him it had been almost five years since they met…..since Tamashii delivered the message of Skiro’s death.

Anyways the two had little connection since then and the lack of memory was understandable, after all Tamashii was a bit of a ghost. Jade would now involve herself with a fiery spark that proved she was still the same as she ever was. Tamashii would take a step back, his thick arms folding over his chest as he let Jade say what she wanted to say before speaking up with a commanding and older authority.

“It does not matter now what he wanted to do jade, it is what he did. We cannot question the action any further, we must prepare him for the inevitable consequences. I know a little about Taliman and from what I know I can firmly contest that you are in for the fight of your life. However you choose to meet that obstacle is up to you, run in fear or face it with heart. That is the choice Deity must make now and we must support him anyway we can.”

:: Well done. It was sarcastic, mocking, purely spiteful. Kaen stared after where the red b*****d had exited, his form blurred by hot tears, and glaring after him as though doing so could set him aflame. She wished she could. But her kitsunebi would not be of much use. If anything it would only make things worse.

She was shaking. Shaking from fury and frustration, shaking with fear... She cried unabashedly, the tears freely flowing down her face; she made no attempt to wipe them away. It was over. Everything she had worked for, everything she had struggled for, destroyed in an instant because her brother was a damn fool.

Kaen didn't seem to notice the events going on around her, the large man who offered his support to her brother, Jade's reaction, her brother flushing with the color of shame. She looked up at him hollowly, as though she were seeing him for the first time. There was nothing to be gained from blaming him. It was clear on his face that the gravity of his actions had returned. The heat of the moment had cooled and now, he realized how bad it was, how bad it would be. Her lip quivered as she struggled to find her voice without it breaking. ::
