"Bollocks," he growled.
Tybron looked so weak as he vainly tried to push an intention that Wesley knew was a charade. This had nothing to do with User, it had nothing to do with Earth. Tybron had a deeply rooted, underlying hatred for Taliman that he refused to acknowledge. Whether it was Tali's strength, his political success, his personal conquests, or something completely arbitrary. Maybe he was jealous that he had twice the eyesight and half the looks.
It was at this point irrelevant whatever it was. Taliman sensed the anger that his little brother was so keen on keeping hidden. Here he was, taking advantage of a situation to vent it out. Tali would see to it that his weak little brother would get more than he asked for.
"I didn't do s**t, he attacked me."

If it wasn't awkward before, it certainly was now. Jade simply stood just to the outside of the group of three (assumed) Orinians, listening to them and feeling like she was eavesdropping on a private conversation.
Well, Kaen was explained a little more now. She had Orinian blood of some sort in her, though she wasn't of the same blood as Deity. The rest of her mystery, would have to wait a moment.
Deity's sudden standing and raised voice made Jade wince a little. She was so used to hearing him speak softly, that this sudden use of not even his normal volume, but a louder one put her on edge. And ordering Taliman around? She honestly began wondering if the boy had gone insane all of a sudden.
The young woman listened to the exchange back and forth between the estranged brothers, each reply only bringing about a more terse response from the other. Her eyes widened when her presence, which had been almost ignored to this point, was brought forward by Taliman. User was Deity's friend too! Even being killed by Fierce, the Prince had rarely, if ever spoken ill about the Tonepian. She wanted to say something, and opened her mouth to do so, but stopped.
No, she had no place in this conversation. This had been brewing between them for eons, and Deity had avoided it at all costs. The Saiya-jin girl was afraid of where it would lead, though.

::Taliman was at his worst, turning Deity's argument on itself after every response. The boy could only remind himself that his brother was devious in nature. He would lie about telling the truth just to secure his own goals. User was brash - this wasn't news to anyone - but he wouldn't just attack someone for the hell of it. Even Tali - who deserved a good beating - alone was hardly enough to evoke such violence in the Saiya-jin prince. There had to be a better explanation.
The bridge to cross between answers this time was much greater. Deity's head was sunken slightly, barely maintaining eye contact with the lord as he muttered skeptically.::
Don't try that 'he started it' nonsense, Tali...

This time Taliman chuckled at his brother's choice of words. Did he seriously have nothing else to add? His last line of defense was to outright call Taliman a liar? A thin defense indeed. He could do that all day. But Wes indulged him and took a shot at reasoning his way through Tybron's doubt.
He queried with a laugh,"Why would I play dumb? I don't senselessly pick fights without just cause. The moron wanted a beating, so I gave him one."

::Now, Deity was a good deal faster in answering his snarky brother, adding onto his statement.::
--at the cost of innocent lives.
::What Taliman so carefully overlooked was that in the midst of the assault, helpless bystanders living in the area were killed. Simply choosing a better spot would have alleviated the problem, but nothing was done to prevent such loss of life. User couldn't have gone out of his way to initiate a fight against Tali, knowing someone could get hurt. Someone aside from himself. Why Taliman, of all people, Deity puzzled silently. That alone would explain away most of this argument.::

Taliman wasn't having any of that. Not at all. When it came to the subject of innocent lives lost, User was just as much to blame as he was. But considering that it was the prince of the witless wonder monkeys himself that sparked the fight to begin with, Wesley was more than thrilled to pass all of the responsibility over to him.
"Again, not my fault," he retorted simply, raising his bottle for a quick pull. This astounding display of bias and ignorance was drying his throat up.

::That - as they say - was it. Deity was bristling at Taliman's remark. How could he so cruelly ignore such an atrocious act? How could he incidentally bring on the deaths of hundreds and simply shrug it off? "Not my fault"?? Is he being serious, Deity asked in disbelief. The Orinian lord was known to be selfish and a bit of a narcissist, but the title of tyrannical murderer would be a new addition to the list of roles.
The tall boy took a moment to keep his response a calm one. His fingers curled in, tucked into fists and kept at his sides.::
Your issue is you just don't care....how do you even manage to run an entire galaxy without neglecting your citizens and leaving them to die?

"Oh come on now! You gotta be kidding me," for all that his voice rang out loud and clear, no one would be able to hear Keno within the club. He was still as absent as was his style, which left not even the slightest indication that he was within earshot of the goings on, but being physically absent wasn't one of those things that had ever stopped him before.
"Of all the various things a goody good could accuse Tali of, Deity picks this?! Seriously? Is he thinking straight or just finally accepting the fact that it's okay to get angry?" Actually, the ageless feline sounded irritated about the current argument between the Wesleys. There was no good or bad blood between him with either the wolf or the fox - though for all intents and purposes he was on Deity's "side" - but he never thought he'd actually stick up for Tali. Even by Keno's standards, User deserved the a** whooping he so deliberately went searching for, and now Tali had to be lectured because of Deity's blind loyalty to his friends.
"Total bullshit, eh?" If he could have turned to face anyone, it would have been the only other person in the building with a strong enough connection to establish a psychic link with. How Jade reacted to a voice in her head that had no body of which to speak was her own thing altogether and Keno didn't seem inclined to stop talking if it caused her any discomfort.
"Just for the record, aside from being on Earth at the time, Tali did nothing to provoke User into a fight that day. I only saved his a** because he was stupid to learn from past mistakes. Dunno what the hell got into him though...haven't asked yet.
"More importantly, why are you just standing around when you could be doing something useful like preparing lemonade for your guests?"

For a while, it looked like Tali had beaten Deity down with mere words. While it would avoid an overall conflict between, it did nothing to ease the tension. But as quick as a whip, the Tonepian got the upper hand again, it seemed. Jade wasn't sure what to do, watching the words go back and forth between the brothers like a game of pong. Each strike only made the next one faster and more fierce.
"Total bullshit, eh?"
Jade practically jumped out of her skin, when the voice of Keno suddenly sounded. She looked around for him, anyone watching would only see her as looking rather lost. After a moment, she returned to watching the Wesley's.
User struck Taliman first? The question bounced around in her head a bit. Why in the hell would he do that..? She scoffed lightly through her nose, her brown tail lashing once behind her in insult. Lemonade? As if. She just waited to make sure nothing got too out of hand. After all, Kaen was still near the two of them. The girl had some magics, but if something were to happen, she'd be in the thick of it.

Tamashii was usually calm mannered and ignored other business in hopes of seeing a fighter or improving his skill but the presence of Kenotao and the sparking flares of emotional stress was too good a event to pass up. Tamashii uncrossed his arm as the fight was boring him and with a swift turn was lumbering back towards the main room….
……He was soon passing through the tunnel and entered into the large room where Jade, Deity and Tali were all standing around bickering It was not his place to say words on subjects he did not know but he knew the legendary feud between the two furry ones. And so he would take a seat at a table and watch. He knew his dominating spiritual aura would catch the attention of Deity sooner or later but as for Jade he simply gave her a wave.

<~>I do not believe Keno is physically present. I think he's just inside Jade's head from some arbitrary place outside the club.

:: Kaen was not naive enough to believe for a moment that things were okay. Her brother had seemed to understand her, to believe her. The red b*****d was on his way out, out of the club, out of their lives and out of the dangerous paths to death and destruction that only Kaen could see. She prayed to herself that if he could just leave, just please leave, that the crisis could be averted.
But within another moment, the hope disappeared before her eyes as she watched her brother give a silent apology with his eyes and then follow after Taliman. The timelines were still in flux. In her mind's eye she could still see her brother's death. Broken form, blood, anger and hate and pain and Taliman standing over him, the victor, and her brother was walking towards it willingly. Kaen turned after him as he left her side, tried to call his attention back, to stop him, but her words were lost on the air. ::
"Niichan, don't..."
:: He had ignored her, or hadn't heard her. The situation spun quickly out of control as they argued, her brother letting his anger show, letting the red b*****d provoke him. Frantically Kaen glanced at Jade, pleaded silently with her to stop them. Stop them, someone please. She looked back, took a few hesitant steps forward. She found her voice again, spoke more surely. ::
"Niichan, no! Please don't, this won't end well, it can't end well! You can still stop! Please listen to me!"

Taliman's initial reaction couldn't be construed as friendly under any conditions. He nearly spat his vodka in Tybron's face. How could he seriously call Wesley's leadership into question?
"You dare imagine what you would do in my position??"
He snarled up at his brother, stepped closer. Tybron could have been the size of a mountain, and Taliman would have everyone in the room convinced that he was a syllable away from tearing the mountain down with his bear hands.
"Do not question my actions, boy, until you have felt the full gravity of choice. You can't even begin to conceive what it is to know that the mere advisedness of your every deed remains the sole fulcrum upon which the entire world depends."
Wesley leaned closer still. He was only inches away from his poorly statured brother, his blue eye burning a hole through Tybron's face. It was more than a response. It was a challenge. He did not take it lightly when someone disputed his role as Emperor. If someone was going to impugn his status and his pride, they would need to reinforce their argument considerably.

::That seemed to strike a nerve, Deity thought to himself. He was quick to back away from his brother - he was unwilling to fight him yet, but was growing angrier the longer Tali spoke. He was no ruler, no, but it didn't change his elder sibling's inherent flaw. His complete apathy for any event that had no effect on him. Taliman would of course see this as a strength, not a weakness.
He spoke now through clenched teeth, clearly frustrated with his brother, and with himself. The longer he stayed so close to Taliman - strangely - the less he seemed capable of keeping himself in check. Behind him the little girl's words didn't even register. Her tiny voice might as well have been the sound of a nearby television. Deity's head tucked somewhat to one side as he answered, his fists curling tighter into themselves.::
Your arrogance knows no bounds, does it...?
