Lady Red Fox

The fight hadn't even begun and already he was showing off. Naturally Red was the first to arrive, as she was the first to leave. She situated herself perpendicular to the entrance so that it was on her left; no longer certain which direction she was facing. Whatever business she had attended to earlier was done, and her instant access machine vanished into the folds of her fabric as her eyes settled intently on the samurai and the ape.

A crass display of speed and 'involuntary' use of telepathy. How the man survived this long was a mystery to her. It seemed somehow fortunate for him that the samurai was a disciplined, even forgiving sort of man. Discipline molded the best warriors of course, but passion was human - in the general sense of the word. It hardly applied to anyone here.

The water mage felt a calm settle as the prologue to the battle neared its end. Distance was a powerful thing, as was anticipation, and she finally had a measure of both. Curling her tail into her lap, she began stroking her nails through the fur, smoothing out each ruby fiber to the best of her ability.

Unks
::Unks shrugged at what Epithany said knowing she would be there to watch his match with Hasa. Before turning his back Unks gave one more look at the guy named Cyprus it seems who just came out of Kendo's shadow.

"Alright my love, if you say so."

Without another word Unks was in front of the one armed Samurai his own two swords drawn, his normal red curved blade sword he has yet to name, and The Beastman's Fang. The sword made out of his own body and parts of Pith's. His ice blue eyes flashed as he looked at Hasamoto's.

"Forgive me if you think I am intruding, but I caught your last thought, if your eager to use your own unique skills please do. It will let that slide. So whenever your ready."

Unks continued to stare at the one armed man and took a long bow as a customary sign of respect to his opponent before getting into his fighting stance. His left arm in front of him with the beastman's fang, and his right arm behind him with his red blade turned away from him::

Not so much in a stagger but more like a lazy walk Tamashii seem to wonder his way into the Arena and soon found himself standing between the two fighters in the ring. The bottle of vodka in his hand as he glanced at one and then the other before taking a massive gulp and then speaking in a rough voice.

"Ok rules are set...fight."

He waved his hand in the air just over his head as he spun on a heel while he took another massive swig of vodka. Waltzing his way to the edge of the ring where he turned around again and sat indian style, now watching each fighter closely as if he had been appointed judge or something.

"Well what are you waiting for next spring?.....beat the snot out of each other."

His blue eye narrowed slightly. "This one, would appreciate it, that if you are to go reading thoughts, to pretend you hadn't. Not only is it rude, but one might find more than they bargained for."

Konosuke didn't overly appreciate the fact that the boy was able to read his thoughts, and made it known. The next time he did it, Unks would surely be in for a surprise.

He eyed both his boss up in the stands, and the strange, tall, black skinned fellow who had apparently self-appointed himself a judge. Hasamoto wasn't sure who he was, but as long as he was out of the way, then things were fine. "We agreed on sword skill only. Show me what you can do against my school."

Kono grinned just a little, returning the bow before taking Sakura and placing it between his teeth, sinking them down into the tough leather strapping. With Lotus in hand, he stood with his right side facing Unks, hand by his face, and both blades facing over his right shoulder.

He lightly motioned with two of his fingers to Unks to come at him when he was ready.

[::Unks blinked a few times as he saw Tama come out of nowhere and drunk. He spit out gibberish, whiched seemed to seem he was acting like a ref for the match. The Saiya-Jin laughed softly watching the man walk to the stands to watch.

He brought his ice blue eyes back to the one armed warrior and smirked slightly seeing he was ready for him. Unks slid his foot forward slightly to inch closer to the samurai. Before his body was settling into its new place Unks kicked off the ring floor and dashed towards Hasamoto.

As Unks closed the distance between himself and Hasamoto he threw the red bladed sword at the samurai, before there could be a reation to this move Unks closed the distance quicker and side stepped to Hasamoto's left side and brought the Beastman's Fand up in vertical slash::

Drunk...Tama...it was impossible....no really it was biological impossible.

True he stumbled in a lazy manner but it was because he was tired not drunk and too assume he was drunk was a big mistake on anyone's part. No tama was sober as could be and took another swig of the Vodka just for the hell of it, enjoying the burning taste as it went down his throat. His elbows in his knees as he propped his head up on his hands and watched the match with a bored expression, sooner or later they would slice each other up.

Smirking at her return of interest, he followed after her.

"I take ever precaution in my work, though I'll admit it rarely is applied to magic. None the less, I do use your principles in particle management. Lets just say I've found excellent uses in the form of energy storage. It is quite invaluable in my trade. But that is a story for another day."

Looking to the elder shadow mage, he stroked his beard.

"Sir, If possible could you fill me in on the details at another time. I was running tests."

Bowing to Epithany he grinned once more.

"I must decline your offer to talk longer, your husband might be distracted by your lack of attention. That could prove detrimental"

Bowing he traded looks with his company

"I shall take my leave sir....Madame."

Without a word he tumbled back into his shadow

:: She blinked. For a moment she wondered if she had heard him correctly. Maybe he was joking. That'd be the day, Niichan joking. He didn't have a single intentionally funny bone in his body. Kaen lifted her eyes to greet his, saw the confusion lying back within the deep crimson. The slight quirk of his mouth, a tiny confused frown. She knew then.

She'd always suspected the day might come when he would forget her. From the day it came up and he told her of his memory loss, it had been one of her greatest fears. It was a natural fear, she thought, to be abandoned and forgotten. Anyone could have those worries. But when it came to Niichan and herself, it was a different story. He was her everything. He had saved her life, taught her, mentored her, been her constant companion through so many encounters.

When he left her to build this place, she'd imagined he might forget her. She'd argued with him over it. But he'd promised the construction wouldn't take so long as needed to forget her, and that he would come back. But he had never come back. She wondered now why she'd waited so long for him to fetch her but when it came down to it, it was because he'd told her to stay. She'd been so afraid she'd miss him coming back for her if she'd left Europe.

And now he didn't even know her face. ::

"You've forgotten me..."

:: Kaen backed away, clasping her hands over her chest. Tears brimmed in her eyes, her brother's image blurring in her vision. ::

"I should've realized... I waited too long."

:: Her lip quivered. She couldn't bear to look at him anymore and ducked her head, letting the tears drip down her cheeks.

There wasn't anything else she could do. ::

Pursing her lips at the the sight of the strange man vanishing into his shadow she glanced at her old mentor shrugging.

"Peculiar individuals you shadow mages are..."

Continuing toward the arena she glanced she looked at the kitsune from the corner of her eye.

"The name Cyprus is very familiar to me. Have we met prior? I can't quite put my finger on it but what skill set would make him such a instant choice for a surveillance position?"

Glancing toward the ring, the fight between her husband and the samurai was already underway. Sighing she wondered why Unks was throwing away one of his primary advantages. The Samurai's fighting style was impressive by way of its unorthodox nature, but a jaw could never never equal the maneuverability of an arm.

((Sorry for the wait, I've been sick and haven't felt like posting at all.))

Konosuke narrowed his pale blue eye, watching the boy shift his position slowly. Then he dashed forwards and oddly enough, threw his sword at the samurai. And then to go an attack his obvious weak side, well, that was just rude.

Lifting his right hand, his Lotus blade caught around the curved red metal of the thrown sword, and a quick flick sent the sword asunder. It landed a fair distance away from the two combatants, skidding across the tiled floor behind him.

With a bit of a snort from his nose, the ancient samurai took one large step backwards with his left leg. He planted his foot firmly and easily twisted his body out of the way of the vertical slash. Swords ready to defend, Kono swung out his right leg, looking to take out Unks legs from under him.

::Forgotten? Oh no. Someone I knew from who knows how long ago, the boy realized. Deity truly hated these sorts of situations. He had been plagued with horrible memory loss ever since he could remember...which, granted, wasn't very long. It led to him and others growing rather embarrassed as they tried to jog the Orinian's memory, as he struggled vainly to dig up a memory that was sadly no longer there.

Jade piped in with a joke, which - considering the situation - Deity found less than humorous. With a shrug he began to mouth the words,"I don't have a sister," before his silence trailed off as he looked back down at the distraught stranger at his feet. The Tonepian kept a thick journal into which he scribed the details of particular events he deemed important enough for him to remember. The building of his home, in fact, he didn't remember at all - he knew he had constructed it, but didn't recall actually doing it. Many points of his life that he knew about were simply entries in his journal. No doubt a sister would have made the cut. As rude as Taliman's comment was, he had a point - Deity only knew of one child from his mother, and two from Tali's. Surely if there was another sibling, their father would have said something by now.

Now, there wasn't anything to do beyond uncover the truth. No one else seemed to know the child, and she knew them not at all apart from her stay here at Deity's home. If his memory failed - as it was so keen on doing - then he was just going by her word on who she was. Deity passed a helpless glance to those around him before beginning his query into the matter.::

T-too long...?

::If the girl truly was just a little girl, he would have to have forgotten her recently. Things were so rarely what they seemed in this place, though. Perhaps some obscure scrap of information could drag something back out into the light for him to remember. Deity squatted to sit upon his heels, bringing his height nearer to her own. Uneasily, his left hand rose to rest upon the little girl's shoulder. He wanted to know how long ago they had met - if they had at all - but the more pressing question interjected without so much as a,"hello."::

...are we really siblings?

"Time to play the game..."

Tamashii sat to the side watching the match bored and waiting for someone to make a move.
